Zaslav is also a starfucker, so this move by the big guns may have real impact on him.

The Classic Film Thread
It was such horrifying yet typical Zaslav/WBD news. The Indiewire article at least is encouraging in that Spielberg, Scorsese, etc. are putting pressure on the company over this move. I know @DRW50 will want to know too. I also left TCM behind for the Criterion Channel when I cut the cord but I adore the network and always will. My family does too. Whenever I am home with the family or do have access to TCM again though, I've always done this just like Scorsese: Now trending: #SaveTCM

I keep forgetting old-ass Reva had another child until I see her with that little boy at the very end each time. I remember this! How did they sneak up on them?? I count 10 people minimum not adding the stroller! It's always astonishing to watch every time I go back. I think it was @Khan who once bemoaned the fact that in Peapack they held a Spaulding press conference in the middle of a vacant field with some lawn chairs on the grass. There also used to be a whole lot of people just wandering on the side of the road lmao. Like drifters.

Just give Corday a weekly feature in SOD lol. "Ken's Korner" where each week he contradicts himself and has a new Plan to Save Days.

Son of a bitch!!!! They did this the whole episode!! Just wandering from place to place!! There is a minimum of 15 people here! lmao I legit thought so. it was definitely a final episode. I think it is partly all of the above, but also the overriding need to coddle what they feel is a predominantly conservative older audience from FB, old media, etc. They worry about anything too edgy or current and water down all content based on that, they're trying to preserve what little margin they have of viewership numbers. Babies both eat into long story time and are promoting baseline conservative/Facebook mom or grandma values, so everyone gets a baby or wants a baby or is looking for their lost baby, and nothing too dangerous is played for too long. That's why it's the most easily approved story for cruising creatives who are just trying to mark time.

I think it has to do with crew respecting the picket lines/boundaries during the shoot.

I tried to find a picture of the worst moment of all from that finale, the whole repeated interlude where the ENTIRE FÙCKING TOWN roamed the streets together like some sort of Mormon flash mob, trying to chase after Remy and whatserface (Karla Mosley) to help them get married, and then to 'play a prank' on Frank and Blake who were meeting up for an Internet date, and then to race to get to Daisy/Susan, I think? before she left town? It seemed like they did it all because they couldn't afford to use interiors anymore so everyone just kept roaming through the streets and parks of Peapack picking up more and more of the cast. It was like a zombie horde.

They've had that weird 'sinister' redneck country twang cue they've been playing for at least 20 years - it's like, a sinister harmonica lol. It uses to drive me up the wall when they would attempt half-decent stories at a few points over the years (the early Sheffer regime, the McPherson/Thomas stuff) and anything good would be undermined by the cheesy DAYS production house style of weird flashbacks and lighting and that fùcking country music cue. idk if they still use it. Oh sweet lord.

Yeah, it is being widely reported around NYC that AHS is definitely filming, so I don't think Leight was telling tales out of school.- 2023 Writers + Actors Strike Thread

Completely unsurprising to anyone who has known Ryan Murphy to be nihilistic self-loathing scum for decades. @DRW50- The Politics Thread

In fairness I forget who Scout is every time she's offscreen (and often when she is onscreen unless they specifically name her or she calls someone Mommy or Daddy). I spent ten minutes trying to figure out who the little boy was with Obrecht at Kelly's a couple weeks ago too. Too many fuckin' kids!- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Not surprised either. I feel for Martha nonetheless, her husband is another story.- Star Trek: Picard
Couldn't find a twitter link for it so here: Patrick Stewart and LeVar talk Season 3, now Patrick wants a movie too lol.- The Politics Thread
There have been rumors about him and Tricia Cotham for months.- Batman: Brave and the Bold
They didn't just do it to boost The Flash, but the announcement was timed to make it seem like they were super confident in that movie and to try to direct its box office. They may like Muschietti, but a flop is a flop and he would only be the millionth director to get quietly cut after a box office failure. His name is now attached to a particularly disastrous chapter in an already bad cinematic history for their franchise and unless It: Chapter Three miraculously materializes in the next few years it will be the first thing people think of re: Muschietti. He's a provisional name they can slot in there, but if the movie actually happens I don't think he'll be the one making it. This kind of revolving door stuff happens everyday. - 2023 Writers + Actors Strike Thread
