  1. I think we have to stay vigilant and push hard nonetheless, but I don't think he has a new ceiling he can build on or increase at this point. He's weak. And the media's attempts to equalize things between him and Harris to find a horserace again are, like 2012, not working so far. They wanted Romney to be more of a threat than he was because he was, to them, the ideal Republican. They want Trump to succeed because they want him back, so they try to make him what they desire him to be or keep the thumb on the scales. But you can't make a Trump at his lowest point into a typical Republican candidate, let alone into Trump '16.
  2. Meanwhile:
  3. They spoiled it in the mags as a spring preview and had them grouped together as getting closer. Teased it with them moving in together onscreen. Then fired both.
  4. Don't forget poor Rachel. They had spoiled setting up a romance for her and Scott Clifton's character which barely made it to the screen before both were fired. All the minorities and black sheep were drummed out for the Fords. Something even JFP (and before her, Riche) often did well with.
  5. I don't care about Blaze, but it's really pretty incredible. It's a firing offense or at least cause for major creative changes, not just bringing back Frank's favored writers, adding a few stars/beloved characters and hoping for the best.
  6. Imma be up late on Sunday, lol. I have til then to decide if I am going to take a flier on Plex Premium for a month or so for a recording option. Really hoping these turn up on demand. I take it back - the late '70s location work (which is top-heavy in S1) is understandably grainy but the studio stuff is definitely cleaner. Amazon is maybe 5-10 mins behind Plex.
  7. Having a look myself. It's hard to really know about any change in quality on S1 because that early on they look pretty close to how I watched the SN recordings a while ago. Annoying that I apparently need to dl the separate FreeVee app just to watch it on my Roku TV; it shows up on my laptop fine but is harder to find in the main Prime Video app for TV. Makes me wonder if the remasters a real thing, or if are they only going to roll them out if it goes on demand like Dallas. It'll be a shame if it doesn't happen.
  8. No, this boring character and their romance came in under the prior regime.
  9. If Trump was still ahead he wouldn't be freaking out as much as he is. Three weeks ago this was almost his race to lose. Now it's a difficult competition, and Harris is nearing being favored if she's not there already. It can still go either way right now, and we need to remain vigilant and keep the foot on the gas. It might even stay close to Election Day. But I'm no longer convinced it will based on the remarkable gains Kamala has made, and I never thought I'd say that weeks ago.
  10. I am glad Wright has softened on the show and I understood her feelings and her youth in the past. But I think if she'd turned up at this it would've become all about her and overshadowed a lot of the longtimers or long-lost performers like Marcy Walker. If she wants to be involved in a future event or retrospective she could be.
  11. Yeah, I was about to post about that. It always seemed unlikely.
  12. They gained a contingent of Becky's fans just happy to see her with a pairing and Roger's diehard loyalists who would watch him do anything, but Franco was always reviled despite many attempts to put him over.
  13. In more substantive news:
  14. Trump is slurring his words like Jim Jones near the end: Politico hates a loser:
  15. I don't mind when they occasionally mention Miguel as still being a star. Plenty of soaps have fictional characters go on to be major celebrities - Danny on Y&R, Erica Kane, Brenda, etc. Ricky happened to play Miguel who was a significant contract player BITD so I can see why they might see it as needing to do one or the other (unlike the Rick Springfield/Noah situation, where IIRC Springfield specifically stipulated that he would not perform musically as Noah and insisted on appearing as both in '13 or as Eli Love). I do have a problem with when it used to come up constantly back in the days of Sabrina or when it's just there to be cute.
  16. It seems like I'll be trying to pick up KL on Sunday night out here mid-stream in early Season 7 where I left off, although trying to follow it live is obviously not ideal and not sustainable, and the usual connect for bootleg eps online is understandably down again at present. I can't just binge the show for 24 hours lol. I'll see if there's a recording option. Are these the much-hyped restorations or no?
  17. The Trump/Musk 'interview' was off to a great start with a DDOS attack and major delays. And now:
  18. Folks, you can't make this up.
  19. Because he was a serial killer and most of the audience hated him.
  20. Maybe you should write in to warn Drew that Nina is an idiot and a complete moron with no self-respect or dignity, I bet he'll listen to you.
