Look into the past - 1975
It took some vision on the part of Y&R's casting director to think of her for Mary Williams after she first played a prostitute, and yet, it worked out perfectly.

Carolyn Cromwell is talented as heck because I buy her in that role just as much as the prude role.

I will keep an eye out for them. There's a lot of humor in the writing. Any scene with Col. Douglas is delightful. I laughed out loud when he wanted to offer Nikki his hand. I'm always wondering what he's going to say to make Victor yell at him. At one point, Victor yells at him for agreeing too much! And obviously anything with Kay and the Bancrofts. I love the subtle little motif where Allison is badgering Earl about drinking too much coffee and then days later when he tells her they will support the marriage, he defiantly takes an extra sip of coffee! That type of attention to detail is what made the show so brilliant. It's filling in the blanks on a lot of the Victor/Nikki/Kevin stuff. I couldn't understand, based on what we'd seen before, why she'd be living with Victor, having already had a sexual relationship, while he's encouraging her to marry Kevin. Now I get it. The story is silly but now I see it's more intentionally so, a comedy of errors where Victor & Nikki are both overthinking the other's reaction, especially with the bad advice they're getting from Katherine and Douglas, culminating in the morning of Nikki's marriage where they both have voiceovers wishing they could tell each other everything and their own stubbornness prevents them from speaking up. I must say I do understand Allison! Your son is engaged to a nice girl, suddenly he's with this other girl, and you slowly come to find out she's living with another man, and was a stripper, and is pregnant... she saw the red flags correctly actually! I hope we get to the part where she learns the truth.

Those clips are awesome... a HUGE thank you to whoever is our mysterious benefactor! It looks like it has Jerry Douglas' debut, Paul & Kay's first scenes together, and the scene where Allison Bancroft brings out a life size cut out of Nikki stripping... I've wanted to see that forever! 😅 @ltm1997 check it out!

I actually had that feeling in this thread when I found out Anthony Herrera played Jack Curtis!

Who is "Rolf" in that June 1974 recap? Do they mean Brock?

I was at a fan event about 5 years ago when a fan asked when will we be able to watch them all. Most of the actors on the panel were shocked they're not already streaming online. Someone pointed out that they'd all be on VHS. Christian Le Blanc said he was pretty sure that it had all been digitized, or at least the vast majority of it. He said that was a big project CBS had undertaken relatively recently to convert the tapes. He seemed like he knew what he was talking about.

No, I don't know of any for that year, sorry. I will be uploading 1/31/01 which has Matt Clark in it. That June 4, 1993 episode was fantastic! I've kind of given up on watching in order for now since the classic episodes are airing anyway. The writing was so good. This has to be my favorite year of the show. You wouldn't see these kind of open honest discussions (Dru/Lillie Bell and Victor/Hope).

Just uploaded a few videos to YouTube which I will also add to the vault. Thank you so much to @Y&R fan of oldies for sending me these VHS tapes, these were some really good episodes! BTW, if anyone else has VHS and no way to transfer them, PM me, as long as they are NTSC videos (North America), I can convert and upload them for you. This is all there was from the 90s, I'll follow up with some 2001-2006 episodes and the rest of the CBS soaps. January 3, 1992 This one is freaking hilarious. The gang gets stuck at a porno shoot with bad guys, and hijinks ensue. There's also some extremely dramatic Nikki moments. I know this one has been on YT before but this one doesn't have subtitles at least! October 3, 1997 Nina pulls a gun on Tricia, then confesses to Ryan the gun was meant for her. Tricia Cast is awesome. September 10, 1998 Jill crashes Katherine's gala to serve her papers for ownership of the Chancellor Estate. Another classic with great views of the backyard and the rooms of the mansion.

The way she is doing it, they're not searchable (except for the few she has public) and they won't come up on your subscriptions, but because she has collected them in a playlist and the playlist is public, all those unlisted videos are in one place and you can see them. In order to see what's newly uploaded, you'd have to manually check the playlists every day; if the video is unlisted you won't be notified. I'm glad she has organized them according to years this time since it was hard to keep track on her last channel. Thanks so much! They look good. I for one am going to wait to watch cause I'm not even done with Amy's videos yet and I like to watch in order, but I saved them and I am happy to have it just in case we don't get up to it! It's a very critical part of the story obviously. Freaking awesome. She added a bunch of October too. Hope somebody can figure out the dates.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I'm so sorry to see that this happened to you! I was sad to see the videos disappeared and assumed the copyright goons got you for something. This is such a shame! This month I've seen several good channels go down in a flash. It's so important to download things as they get online because sometimes they go missing the next day. I am glad in one sense, though, and that's that your content is still there and that your account was not banned, which is very painful as an uploader. I have never had to do this but apparently there is a way to make a troll go away and never comment on your page again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSUvs5BkkCs Of course, in that case they still might be able to see the videos, just not comment. You could go unlisted and post playlists here as some of us have done. If you wanted to be absolutely sure that person couldn't see them, you could make them private and opt-in. Then you'd have to approve every single YouTube/Google account who could view your videos, so you could be certain they can't get to them. The only thing would be that would limit the scope of other posters who could see them as well. If you feel up to it, hopefully you can find a solution that works for you. I just don't understand how this person can claim to be a fan and then run off uploaders like you who are trying to share and make people happy. https://youtu.be/_j3pGmiKvxU

Oh yes! I always fall behind on these long discussion threads. I don't participate while the conversation is happening, but I go back and read them later (both your wonderful recaps and all of the great comments). I've gone through lots of your archives!

Welcome @BoldKara ! The owner of the vault is @ChickenNuggetz92 Anyone can upload as guest contributor. I've been digitizing some VHS that someone here mailed to me. If you need help or advice, PM me and I can either explain to you what I did, or I can convert them myself (and that offer is open to anyone with tapes as long as they are in NTSC format for North America). It would be great if you uploaded them; even if we eventually get up to them it would be nice having the originals without subtitles. Personally I would vote that the partial episodes get filed under clips in their own folder.
