I noticed that Victor said something like "how can I let her be married to that jerk" so with that I narrowed it down to November when he found out about their marriage. I think it's November 24, 1992!

Thanks! Your videos are really excellent. Those exterior shots from Ashley's accident are so crisp and clear! It's like DVD/Digital quality. This must be early in Ryan and Victoria's marriage.... maybe August 1992? She still seems happy. Or maybe it is when she moved in with him some months later.

I was truly hoping this would not end up being the case. I hope he knows how much he was loved and adored.

I'm shocked. So young. He was an absolutely brilliant actor, certainly one of the bright spots on that era of Y&R. I too had always hoped he'd come back. He definitely played like the younger brother of Terry Lester's Jack. Just electric.

Her anniversary was in July, so probably yes, they waited to hold her special episode until they were both available.

At least this Eric story is something other than someone being mad that their SO kissed someone else. I'm glad John McCook is getting stories at this age and his acting is better than ever. What is with the constant references to the Forrester blood though? Are they trying to soft retcon the Marone story? And it's not Eric having dementia because Ridge and his kids talk the same way.

Guess we'll be seeing lots of soap stars on talk shows.

I read in Bell's biography that the family all lived together in their mansion so I assumed that was the inspiration.

Novlan is completely wooden, IMO. The only time I ever saw some spark in him is the scenes where he was held captive and bedridden. He looked truly scared, and I attributed that to a reaction to Kimberlin Brown's strong presence. Other than that, his expression is always the same.

Preach it @divinemotion! I don't like the character of Ridge. I think he is a jerk, always has been. Both actors who played him are terrible. Ronn Moss at least was funny/fun to watch and embodied the character perfectly. Thorsten Kaye doesn't even look or act like what the character of Ridge is supposed to be. Regardless of my feelings, there is no doubt that Ridge has been the catalyst of the show for nearly the entire run. We followed Ridge's story with Caroline from day 1. Ridge's point of view, Ridge's feelings, Ridge's actions were central. Ridge was in the major love triangle that started when Taylor joined and continues to this day! The show made a controversial decision to recast because they felt they couldn't do without this character. I disagree, but he's very very important to Bradley Bell. The show completely revolves around Ridge, Ridge's job, Ridge's children, Ridge's opinions, Ridge's love life. The other Forrester kids and all the Logan kids except Brooke have fallen off the radar completely. Ridge and Brooke are the center of the show, like that or not.

The Vanderbilt news archive lists a 22 minute NBC newsbreak for Walter Mondale's announcement of Geraldine Ferraro as his VP candidate. That must be the reason for the interruptions on 7/12/84.

Well, due to my Italian heritage I enjoy seeing it in Italian and I know my mom would get a kick out of it as well, but I guess it's not so important if the episodes are there in English, but certainly there is lots missing from 1992-1993 and 1999-2005, so I'll bet you have some "new" material in there. Those collections you had posted (one was about Nikki and Cole) were in a very good quality. Sometimes I redub the English voices over the German videos for better video quality.

Jill lost her baby; then denied John's accusation that she purposely fell off the ladder in hopes that she'd abort their son. Jack warned Ashley that Marc can destroy the Abbott family if he reveals that Dina's still legally John's wife. Dina and Marc mended old fences. Tim nixed John's job offer because he feared it might harm his relationship with Traci.
