  1. Happy for Alley Mills. She looks great.
  2. Y&R with its writing team of one LOL.
  3. That makes a lot of sense actually. Play it up for hype and then fire the actress. I can see him doing that.
  4. And besides, Krista's best chemistry was with KKL!
  5. I don't suppose there's a red carpet feed?
  6. I guess I'll be the lone person who thought it wasn't working lol. She played like Steffy and Thomas' sorority sister, not mother.
  7. @janea4old Agree with pretty much everything you said. The kids can't build personalities if they are never on. It's beyond parody. The only Y&R kid who kind of has a personality that's not generic is Connor who seems to have picked up anxiety from both parents. He's the only one I could see being interesting when he grows up. Lucy and Faith are basically the same as Summer and Abby and I'm sure Katie will be exactly the same when they SORAS her. It's sad.
  8. IMO a lot of this has to do with actors looking and acting much younger than in the past (including the way they dress, speak, and are styled). Michael Graziadei is old enough to be Lucy's father, given she was born on screen and only lightly SORASed, but he looks young, and an artist like him would be more likely to be starting his family at his age rather than raising teenagers (as Graziadei himself has young twins). I'd rather see him as a younger leading man than disciplining a wayward teen. Don't get me started on Christel Khalil being given college age twins who looked the same age as her. Her onscreen kids must be in her 20s now which means she'd be potentially playing a grandma the way soaps marry off characters so young. I'm all for de SORAS whenever possible. Like Heather.
  9. She got a box in the mail that said so. No money to hire anyone to play the lawyer. She made several visits to the west coast office which she'd discuss with nick at the coffee house lol
  10. Looks like we won't quite finish off 2023 perfectly: 5/18/92-5/22/92: GL you have 5.3 and SOW has 5.2. I assume it's SOW's typo as they have a star marking it "tied with above" (B&B at 5.3) Happy holidays and thank you so much for all this! 🥳
  11. My thing with Tara is they are clearly not planning on showing Harrison anymore. He's always in the other room, with Mrs. Martinez, etc. I laughed so hard the other day when Diane walked in and told Jack "you should have seen how many pancakes your son ate!" referring to Kyle. He's not 5 years old! I was thinking that line would have been used on Harrison. So why not just say that Tara is out of jail and he moved to New York to be with her? That would make the most sense. There was never any adoption by Summer nor is Tara a danger to her child. She deserves to have partial custody at least. In general, they never explored how devastating it would be to a child to lose both parents he has ever known (Tara and Ashland) so it makes me cringe when they say he can't bear to lose his mother, Summer, cause clearly the kid is resilient. Same story with Nick and Victoria's kids, they have zero interest in ever showing them. Fine, so say they are in boarding school, don't pretend that Victoria is such a great mother "stopping for a coffee on the way back from Katie's recital." In the 80s Jill had Phillip around when she was at the Fosters (to be introduced to her various boyfriends) then shipped him off once she married John Abbott. Then they'd show Phillip once a year when Jill would call him at boarding school and ask him home for Christmas. He'd say he'd rather spend it with a friend, and Jill would be crushed. By the time they were ready to bring on Thom Bierdz, the drama was rife. Imagine how silly it would have been if they'd just been pretending Phillip was in the kitchen drawing with Mamie or out by the pool all those years.
  12. They haven't shared scenes. I wish they would.
  13. 4/13/92-4/17/92: Days you have an 18 share, SOW has 19
  14. I think that's fine not to like the character. Some comments about KB (not referring specifically to this thread but past ones) are pretty gross as they bash her sex appeal and basically her looks and age. Which is crazy to me because I think she looks fantastic.
  15. This this this. Hated that she was made Finn's mother just so they could make her story be all about Steffy. Love Sheila and Deacon though.
  16. What do you mean? @Troppo I heard imdb was a pain but that is something to see! @Jennybold1974 did you see these excellent posts from @janea4old a few pages back about episode numbers? She is the expert!
  17. You'll have over two years worth of full episodes all in order! After March 1988, there are many episodes, but not a whole complete collection like B&B. I stopped watching at December 1988 myself waiting for more full episodes to come along, sigh.
  18. Personally I would say the vault clips of 1982 (there are not too many full episodes 1982-1985). Then in 1986 you can pick up the full episodes in German if you wish. 1982 is when the Brooks family and Lorie are phased out and the main storylines begin to center around Victor, Nikki, Katherine, and the Abbotts. I did this during the pandemic when they started being uploaded and I also read along with the Soap Opera Digest tumblr to fill the gaps. I would just stop reading when it started talking about things I hadn't seen yet.
  19. Ah, that sounds rather good! I hadn't considered the Jill angle. The recaps say at some point even Kay was considering birthing Derek's child LOL.
