At San Diego's Old Glove, he was the title character in Macbeth. He made dozens of TV appearances on shows ranging from "Star Trek" to "Columbo," and played district attorney Hamilton Burger in "Perry Mason" specials in the 1980s and '90s. There have been many times where actors were let go over the years that have upset me, but this isn't one. Monaco has been sleepwalking on the job for more than ten years. I honestly have no idea how she's been on the show for this long. I would have cut her back when Burton went to Y&R. She's been on borrowed time since then. Landon is a fantastic actress, and would be a great "get" for the role. If you've watched her in Animal Kingdom or Yellowstone, you can see, like these producers do, how much more she's putting into her characters. I have no doubt that if Yellowstone were to continue without her, that she would quickly land another part. All the speculating either way doesn't matter. We're not casting LuLu, #firefrank will have the final say. And Gawd help us if it's Bree Williamson, Jennifer Morris or (yeeesh) Kerry Butler.

Why would an actress like Landon, whose trajectory is on the rise, want to join a show with ratings and turnover like GH? Look, it's been my favorite show since I was 9 years old. I hate badmouthing the show-- but with Frank & Varni running things, I'm not surprised that actors with so much potential like Chavez leave. What does this experience offer her other than a paycheck? It would be great if she takes the role, but I'm not holding my breath expecting it.

Landon's popularity has always been on the rise. Her role as "Teeter" on YELLOWSTONE was (is) a departure from wringing her hands on daytime. I honestly see her aiming higher than GH for future roles. Havins would be good, but I honestly want to see a fresh face. As for Marcy Miller -- they just dragged zero energy off the screen with Monaco. I wouldn't hire Lindsey McKeon for any role on GH. Well, maybe a waitress at the MetroCourt, but not one with a lot of dialogue.
