So somebody thatā€™s in a classic Y&R group that Iā€™m in posted a couple days ago that they emailed the SONY archives and asked if the entire Y&R series exists in their archive and if they ever plan on streaming the show. He got a reply from them stating yes, the entire series is in their archive and they also are considering streaming the entire series. Thatā€™s definitely a step in the right direction because before this, I thought theyā€™d had no plans to stream it whatsoever! šŸ˜šŸ˜ Do you guys think theyā€™d really do it??

GASP??!?!?!?Ā šŸ˜®Ā These people have hearts afterall??? :DĀ :DĀ :DĀ

Hope to Liam: 'Mom needs to be with someone she knows'

Liam rules out Deacon, Ridge, Bill.

Hope wonders who else knows/understands Brooke.

Brooke: 'I need to be with someone I know.'

B&B never drops accidentally hints. I suppose they really are going to go there with LIam when Hope has a meltdown over Douglas or something weird with Thomas or Hollis goes crazy and Liam saves Brooke, etc.

Brooke has climbed the Forrester and Marone trees, I guess the Spencer tree is inevitable.

Not that Bradley is really gonna go there, but I got the impression that was leading towards Taylor :DĀ

Look those breakdowns under Josh are not going to be too difficult to write.

Some office scenes with mumbo jumbo about digital platforms and podcasts.

Instant takeover of companies and appointments of a new CEO and COO.

A few half hearted confrontations in the same empty public places.

    Done!

And Billy and Adam, day after day after day after day after day after day after day...........................

Umm I like Sally but this is ridiculously out of handĀ with JG:Ā

    Ā  Hide contents

Apparently the 2/21 episode is another of JGā€™s fantasy episodes regarding the paternity and contains no conclusion or story momentum.Ā

In other words a standalone episode that can be easily skipped. Similar to GLā€™s Inside the Light Wednesdays back in the day.

    Spoiler

I got such whiplashed watching the episode.Ā šŸ„“Ā Itā€™s bad enough the day ahead episodes on YouTube are always the worst quality you could ever watch the show in with the horrible repeated zoom ins and horrible piano music added in, but the atrocious dream sequences just made it all worseā€¦.I despise they are giving another paternity test story to the perma frat boy Morrow..who I swear will never play any type of story where Nick has to act like heā€™s remotely close to 50 years oldĀ

Gosh, now I'd love to see her and Braeden in something together...they would despise each other! :DĀ

    Ā Carla's LAST Episode

Was this really her last episode? It just seems so underwhelming to have her exit like that, even if Rauch orchestrated it this way.Ā

I'm glad she's surfaced in a few of these 1985 uploads. For as depressing as it is, knowing what was happening behind the scenes with Ellen during all this, It's just nice when we see her appear in these episodes. I wish there were more complete years with her available, even 1983-1985.Ā

  6. Why?? :(Ā  I mean this was the nicest thing the show did was make this channel and air these episodes and now they decide to butcher them??....I shudder to think how old Y&R videos would look now on an official channel if they keep up with this. :(Ā

Is at least Season 7/ 1993 ok? since they are still uploading those?

Wonderful news. Did they already have Lorie and Leslie - did their appearance a year or two ago count for this?

    (did Lorie even have one?)

Lorie and Leslie first had one in 2018 for the shows 45th, they had scenes with Jill and Esther. Then Leslie came back in the fall of 2021 for Victorias wedding to Ashland Locke.Ā

  8. Probably saying a lot that's been said, but sticking to the main 4 I've watched the most over the years.

PSSNs - Campy, Wacky, Dramady, Supernatural, Unrealistic, OTT characters.

DOOL - Also Campy and supernatural, but to a lesser extent then PSSNS, family oriented, Action Adventure, Super couples, Romance, Super Villains,Ā  Comedic

Y&R - Moody, Gothic, Old Hollywood Style acting and Lighting, Dry subtle Humor, Cooler Characters that leave lasting impressions, Beautiful looking actors and actresses, psychological , rich, seductive, Business oriented, Lush and Lavish

B&B - Similar to Y&R in style and mood, scandalous, sexy, Incestuous, Glitz and Glamour, Beautiful Remotes, Campier then Y&R

    Watched todayā€™s Valentine Day episode:

-Watching Victor and Nikki in love with Victor showering Nikki with new fancy necklace felt like old school Y&R. The flashbacks were charming as well.

-The Daniel and Lily scenes were nice and the flashbacks to 2005 were good, but was a bit puzzled by the 2011 flashback (Daniel finding out Lucy is his daughter while talking to a still in mourning and being gaslighted Lily) being used as ā€œtroubled timesā€ for the pair. Then again at least they saved us from Lathamā€™s porn addiction flashbacks.Ā
    Ā

-Sallyā€™s WTD story is unnecessary, but I liked Sharon and Sally connecting along with Nick and Victoriaā€™s ā€œolder & wiserā€ scenes. Itā€™s a nice change of pace although the mention of Sage Warnerā€™s name was completely unnecessary as well.Ā

It amazes me how good the shows budget was in 2005. They could at least have a real location shoot for Daniel and Lily. The dressing up as fruit, selling smoothies seems very classic soap humor, especially for Y&R. After hearing her podcast interview, I feel like that is the Y&R Sally Sussman wanted to give us back.Ā

Dorothy McGuire's arc was two months, May-July 1984. I think it was mentioned here that it was a big deal back then for Y&R to get a Golden Age Hollywood actress in a short arc.

And itā€™s amazing how much they covered In only a few short months, Cora died 7/25/84. I would think a story like that would be a 6 month arcĀ
