Today (May 8 ) marks 10 years since Jeanne Cooper passed away. Y&R has not been the same without its grande dame. RIP.

Crazy to think it's been that long already :( There's forever a void on that show that can never be filled!

    I didn't realize that - so sweet!

So the big outstanding question is (and Lauren even notes this to Paul and Lynn) - what made Sheila snap and kidnap Lauren...? Because Lauren had zero clue what the truth was until Sheila spelled it out for her at the farmhouse.

The only thing I can think of is - Sheila thought it was inevitable that Lauren would learn about the birthmark removal and put two and two together.

We'll only know for sure if the eps leading up to May 4 ever appear 🙏

Yes, her son apparently would sub whenever the twin girls playing Scotty got sick. That is sweet considering it was Bill Bell that suggested that TEB keep her son on set with her throughout this story.

i kind of think the lab fight might have pushed Sheila over the Edge but yeah they never really elaborated what was Sheila’s final straw.

There was definitely some strange things with the tone of these follow-up scenes after Sheila's "death". Scott was whitewashing their history but I guess you could argue it was the shock of it all. Still, I'm surprised that Scott didn't have more of a sense of relief. For the 6 months prior, Sheila was the sword hanging over Scott's head.

I guess with Ruth, since she's such a disposable character, the writers felt like it wasn't necessary to recap to her what happened once again, after Lauren has already recapped it to Paul and Lynn, and then to Scott. (I loved the flashbacks were incorporated into Lauren's memories)

What was super-weird was how the priest recapped everything during the memorial?? Based on everything Scott had told him? It didn't feel necessary for the priest to get so specific, lol... and not appropriate for a memorial.

Even Lauren at some points seemed remorseful…I guess she just felt bad for Scotty but, it’s still strange hearing her regard Sheila as Scotty’s mother, knowing her much she hates her.

yeah I was thinking too why did the minister have to say all that? Haha

btw some bit of trivia, that’s actually TEBs real son Austin playing Scotty in those scenes! :D

Found it, thanks! Took some digging :) I thought it was under clips instead of full episodes.

Thank you anonymous angel!! I never hoped to see these May '92 scenes, and they did not disappoint. It felt like a dream to watch them. So precious.

And even Sheila's memorial! What a treat to see a final appearance of the beloved Naomi and Doris (Doris, who thinks Lauren is afflicted by the devil 🤣❤️) Inconceivable that Scott did not have Cricket and Danny attend the memorial.

Your welcome! :D Yeah I was confused too, and of course I got a little overly excited that we had a couple more "full" May 92 episodes, but I'm still happy about the clips.

Man If anything, they really did make Sheila out to be the "victim" of this whole thing. Everyone talking non stop about how much Sheila loved Scotty, and how she was the "only mother" he's known.....So disturbing...I couldn't believe it when Scott said he didn't realize Sheila had this "dark side" to her....um Hello?!.....You already witnessed her dark side several months before with her constant paranoia, her threats to take away Scotty, and of course drugging you....That was a load of B.S to me...

Doris, Naomi and Ruth are definitely #teamSheila! :D Ruth didn't seem phased about what Sheila did...she either doesn't have many friends, or just thinks Lauren drove Sheila to madness (which is true in a way..LOL.)  It confused me also that Scott didn't actually reveal to Ruth what Sheila did, yet the minister basically explains it during the funeral...yet she doesn't react? :D

Yeah I was kind of annoyed about John Silva not being there too, or even Olivia? Danny and Cricket should have been there, but I already knew they weren't because someone on Usenet mentioned that Cricket not being there for her brother was "odd" LOL

Wow, I started watching those May/June 1988 Danny/Cricket clips. Rare that they actually had a Carnival set! :) I remember hearing about Cricket Selling Kisses, but I thought that was during Danny's Concert.

Why am I not seeing those? I'm looking under Clips > 1992 > and the file names jump from 5/04 to 5/28

It’s in the regular 1990s page, not the one with the 1990s 1 on it. ;)

    This is so exciting!

Which clip has Lauren and her baby reuniting? I can't tell from the clip titles.

    @YRfan23 will be especially excited!!

Haha I am!! :D I just watched the 5/19 and the 5/22 clips. That’s the date Lauren is reunited with Scotty and it’s a beautiful scene! :D

    YR vault

I uploaded the 1995 Diagnosis Murder episode about YR, guest starring Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott, Lauralee Bell, Doug Davidson, Jeanne Cooper, Kristoff St. John, Heather Tom, J. Eddie Peck and of course Victoria Rowell (double role, as herself and as her Diagnosis Murder character)

    Then 2 missing episodes

YR august 26 2008 (one of the most enjoyable of Maria Arena Bell era). Adam takes control of Newman Enterprises after Mexican police declared Victor's death and becomes the main heir of Victor's estate, then fires Neal, Karen quits, Adam VS Micheal in a heated confrontation, Cane marries Chloe.

    YR august 27 2008

Is there a chance that someone has got the AUGUST 28 episode and could make it available? I don't have it, but it should be interesting. Adam fires Victoria.

    Thank you so much ☺️☺️

Yes I do. I was able to verify those three preemption dates (Jan 9th, 17th & Feb 27th), but unable to verify the other two. I was, however, able to get the episode recaps for #965 (Jan 29th) and #977 (Feb 18th) and also #968-972 (Week of Feb 4-8th) from SOD, and from there I was able to narrow it down a bit further.

There was a preemption between Jan 30th-Feb 1st and another in the week of Feb 11-15th (#973-976). So I picked Feb 15th as an educated guess. I wish I was able to do better, but it'll do for now.

Edit: Forgot to add that Sep 26, 1995 is a confirmed preemption date.

I think I have Feb 15th as well. Maybe the other one is 2/1? There were definitely some dates that Y&R or the other shows aired that day but B&B was preempted only I think.

Thanks so much for your help and feedback! :D

Yes it was a bit of a eureka moment when I found that one. I must credit the vault for helping me out as well. So I guess all of the 1994 airdates have been accounted for (at least for B&B anyway).

We've also got October 3rd as a preemption date. I'll do more research as I suspect the dates for September to December are off by about a day.

But at least we can verify that these two episodes went to air on these respective dates:

    #2116 (Thorne and Macy's wedding) September 1, 1995
    #2192 (Christmas Episode) December 25, 1995

I meant to ask, did u have a list for 1991 preemptions? I think between January 2-Feb 28 91 there were 4-5 preemptions. The ones I know for sure are

1/1, 1/9 and 1/16 then 2/27 was listed as a preemption for more gulf war coverage.

I think there is a chance, no pun intended.  in the magazine JG says Sharon's story is with Nick when she faces a threat from.her past. So Ig Sharon and him got cut.

I do think Floyd and Case do have some chemistry, but him and AL Summer really sizzle IMO

JK but it would be nice to happen.

I'm still hoping....haha. In typical Bill Bell Spirit I actually have a story idea.

I dug around the Usenet archives. The dates B&B was preempted in the latter half of 1994 are:

    June 30th-July 1st and July 5-8th (all O.J hearing)

July 25th and August 19th (Rerun episode)

September 5th and September 9th (US Open coverage)

    November 24th (Thanksgiving)

The Malibu wedding (#1885) aired October 3rd.

    As for 1995:

    January 2nd (Special programming)

    January 24th, 26th and 30th (O.J trial)

    Episode #1949 aired January 3rd.

Thanks for researching this! :D I didn’t know about 8/19/94 being preempted.

I think 9/26/95 was also a preemption date.
