Well some stuff is visible for everyone, the problem to see all you have to make an account and join the community, but it shouldn't be too hard

I'm having a hard time writing out my phone number since it seems like it wants it in Russian form? It won't let me continue to sign up.

Great news...it didn't take as long as expected, but the missing 6 weeks of 1979 have been found. Still waiting for the remaining 4 weeks, but will post those when they arrive. I am also going to edit these in to the correct thread so these charts will be posted in order.

FROM THE VAULT: WEEKLY DAYTIME NIELSEN RATINGS: WEEKS OF 5/28/79-6/1/79 & 6/4/79-6/8/79:

I'm glad you're not complaining, since this is a lot of work to do!! 52 weeks x 10 years = 520 charts!

My first sort is by rating, the secondary sort is by program title, so any programs tied in ratings will be listed alphabetically, not by share.

That was me. I think the error happened because the chart said ABC soaps aired TU-F and CBS soaps aired TU-TH. I probably just mistakenly read it as TU-F for CBS. So, as we know from earlier this week when I misread a 6 for an 8, that mistakes will happen, but I always do try my best. I would hope my accuracy would still be in the 98 to 99 percent range when I have completed all 520 weeks for 1980-1989!   I have posted the corrected chart above.

Oh your fine!! :D I’m so glad it’s all cleared up, You have been so amazing posting all of these charts!

Interesting that CBS soaps were only preempted Monday September 6 for US Open. It's long been assumed they were also preempted Friday that week.

Unless the info is incorrect or there’s another preemption coming up between the rest of September-December we didn’t know about,  that messes things up a bit 😕 we long assumed 1982 was   the first year they preempted the Friday in September for tennis as well.

With the classics that have aired, did anyone find out what dates Brad Bell debuted as Head Writer and Executive Producer?

He's first credited with Jack Smith on May 5, 1993, but I think May 20, 1993 is when he took over completely. Jack Smith is credited above him from 5/5/93-5/19/93

I may have figured out a solution that could work over the next 3 months. Working on Y&R first then will figure something out for B&B. Thanks for your patience!

You always come through! :D We owe you so much for everything you've done!

Sounds Great! It's sad how many attacks the vault has to endure, I'm Glad I saved some 1970's Episodes from Y&R, I keep wondering If i should Make my Vault Open to the public too, I don't know if i had the capacity @ChickenNuggetz92 has to keep it together, Especially since I Have being Collecting episodes from several different soaps, years and countries, but maybe it could be a Temporary hosting place while the main one doesn't get back to work?????????????????? What do you all think???

I think that would be a great idea! :D like a backup vault.

I just looked at the January 1986 charts. YR preempted twice that month:

1/27/86-1/31/86    Young and the Restless    CBS    8.6    27    206    99    Preempted Tuesday- CBS News Special Report/Friday- Memorial Service: Challenger

You are amazing!! :D Thanks my friend!

    Thanks!

All the time frames are at a different point in the prep period:

    1980-1981 is fully posted.

1982 is fully done and ready to post.

1983-1985 charts need to be sorted & cropped.

1986 is being typed up, with 1987 to type up next.

So, all in all, things are moving along smoothly with the ratings!

I'm excited to see the rest of those years!! :D I think 1986 is another year we kind of weren't sure with Y&R preemptions for January, so it will be great to see.

    Week of Aug 21:

    Chloe encourages Esther.

Ah! Will we finally see the outcome of the internet date that Chloe encouraged Esther to make in May of 2022 for Kate's 40th anniversary? 😅

geez....It's been that long? 😯 I literally thought the blind date stuff happen earlier this year....LOL

  11. I posted about this but wasn’t sure at the time if it was actually confirmed but she unfortunately passed on May 15 this year at the age of 82. :(  I loved her as Flo and always hope they surprised us with a return down the line. Her talents were definitely wasted a year or two after she joined the show though.

Oh no! She was 82. Wow, she was 51 when she debuted on YR and I thought Flo was in her early 40s

Her bday is Christmas Eve 1940 I think…it hasn’t been officially confirmed just a couple sources on Facebook and Twitter .

Welcome :D How awesome! Definitely interested. If you post or DM me the large files, I'm happy to do the editing. Even if the stuff is in the vault already it's always good for people to share because things could be in better quality or more complete. But even better that you have brand new stuff :D :D

Yes, I can confirm you literally told me the other day you wished someone would upload those Feb 95 eps. That's crazy 😅

Haha wishes do come true!! :D and of course im excited to see the full episodes with Scott and Lauren’s second wedding and Sheila getting ready to reveal herself to Molly!
