  1. NY That was pretty meh to me. The fun was still there. And things were still going on. But I guess it was more intimate. A getting to know you episode. Or maybe I have just soured on Leah. You all were right. Of course, Leah was not going to leave to see her grandma. And she stayed and was just being dramatic. And when she finally left to see her...too late. I felt sad for her about that. Still...the drama just peppered out. Next week though looks great with the first full appearance of Bershan (and she was introduced here by Sonja picking on Ramona for posting pictures of her black friend for cred) and Eboni vs Ramona. THINGS I LIKED: MISS 1970 NEW YORK. Nice clean fun. And it was nice to see Heather and Leah get along (and even stand next to each other). VICTORIA. I live for seeing any of Lu's family. AND SONJA MAKES...THREE? hahahahahahahahaha at Sonja pouncing on Leah and Tinsley's trainer. They are Instragram friends??? How funny was that!!! I continue to love the Sonja/Eboni friendship and watching Eboni (with help from Leah) help Sonja with her self esteem was great to watch. We did see the first sign of Eboni being a bit worry about Sonja's drinking, but she was still being a good and calm friend. RAMONA BEING RAMONA. Cuz...of course. Even when her white privilege is showing. And looks like it will roll up next week. smh. Even funnier that all the ladies were talking about her on Election Day. ELECTION DAY. It was nice to see how it went down in a different city than here in California. And I remember when Eboni posted that video that day!!!! I love she did that party because a few people really did. And she wanted everyone to come, but alas. Ramona gotta Ramona. THINGS I DID NOT LIKE: THE FIGHT. Where was it? lol. But seriously, I don't think there was anything too bad that Heather had to run away. If anything Leah ran away. With good reason. Really looking forward to next week. MEANWHILE... THIS DOCUMENTARY though...oooo.
  2. I like that you agree with me. And because it is definitely going to have to take a loooooooooooong stretch of disbelief, I'm interested to see 1) how they are going to make it work...if at all, and 2) can they make it work. I mean...just the idea of the character right now is intriguing and how soaps used to intro new characters if they are going to wind up related to someone important. Would it have been better with a new actor? For sure! Especially if they do it at the current pace the character is being introduced vs rushing a new character on. So I give them credit for that given that it's an actor playing his THIRD role on a show he's been on for a while now. But again...yes, the deck is already stacked. Why? Like I said above, people are burnt out on RH and his characters...especially a character having the potential same storyline that one of his other characters had. So...I want to see where it goes. Or IF they can pull it off at all.
  3. They suuuuure did. Which is why they have to be oh so careful this time if they are going to that well again. If it is going to be the same thing as last time that won't work at all, no matter how important the family tie is. But since they are writing Austin in slooowly, it might work. Emphasis on MIGHT. But they cannot do it the same way. It better be different AND creative with some possiblities...and decent to good acting. People are so burnt out on RH I don't know if it is even possible to like his latest character.
  4. *gasps* But seriously, I agree with @te.. Cuz 90s was not just the Rachel but there was also the Donna Martin (aka the blonde bob you mentioned) and what I liked to call the Brenda Welsh braids...which Sami was known to have every once in a while. But...all totally 90s. Meh. Rachel Melvin's hair. lol.
  5. Well given how good Tamra was at stirring the pot BTS last season, I'm sure she can manage a Season 6 LuAnn this next season as a FOH and get her spot back. We'll see. ETA: HOLD UP!!! GOVERNOR NEWSOM WAS ON WWHL and got money from Erika's husband!!!! aka watching some of the documentary before NY.
  6. Awww I liked Elizabeth. But hey, MS. HAVE AN OREO is back!!!!! Yeah just seeing that picture of the video took me aback. But I've been taken aback all day as we just officially reopened today. And from what I saw on Twitter a bit ago NY is also reopening today, too. Odd. (I'm in California).
  7. Oh people finally back in the Clubhouse now?
  8. Okay, I liked her hair then. *runs and hides* *comes back* But I know what you mean.
  9. It does not make any less tragic. Sign of the times indeed though I will agree.
  10. I will go out on a limb and say that KeMo works best when she's a villainess. Perople liked Livvie from what I remember on PC, but they LOVED her once she went back. And KeMo played that seductively well. Same for when she went off the deep end due to Jason and Liz FINALLY getting together. And at least in both cases if I remember correctly the writing at least built up and explained how she could go from good, but tough girl to bad girl/vixen. I haven't seen PC in a long time though, but I am sure the writers spent a year (two max) building up to the Jasam breakup to a place where Jason and Liz would get together and it made sense at the same time why Sam would be scorned woman about it. Shame it lasted (Vixen Sam) a year I believe...maybe two. And yes, I loved her with GV Lucky aswell. But needless to say RH/KeMo DEFINITELY give excellent adversary energy. And lest I forgot...Sam gave a great bitcaslap to Carly on her way out the door as she went from good to bad.
  11. Hahaha same. And I love me sum Carrie, but sometimes her hair in the 90s was...tragic.
  12. I prefer Lucas to EJ, too, but I admit that I wouldn't knock him (or John with the shoulder hair...don't hate me lol) out of bed either. But I like chest hair.
  13. While I don't know if it is too little or too late, I do like that they are doing with Austin (from where I've viewing) and bringing him in sloooooooooooooowwwwwwwly. As you should with new characters. I think a lot of you called this months ago when Jimmy Holt/Ward references started to be dropped in dialogue. I said going by the scene where Austin keeps pausing/flinching every time he sees Michael's name somewhere like seeing he has a hospital wind named after him, that Austin probably is going to be connected to the Qs outside of the obvious baby switch. Also spoilers/hints in mags have been saying for a while that something big was coming for the Quartermaines. Probably the only reason it has not yet has been the lack of them so the writers had to slowly but surely build the Q Mansion up again (with cameos from Tracy) and NOW there is plenty to play there. The question will be how Austin fits into that. Like Vee said above, THIS is what they probably should have did with RH with his first new character. Now it might feel (or does feel) like burnout.
  14. @Chris B and the Erika tea... OF COURSE SHE WOULD!!! She just HAS to be the center of attention!!!!
  15. Ain't no one scared of that trick with that door close. GIRL, BYE.
  16. Count me in as a fan of Sam and John McBain. I loved those two as Livvie and Caleb so it was great to see they STILL had it. And the fact that it drove JB a bit batty (which he thankfully was able to humble himself since then) and that was just a crazy time. I'll say this much...it's hard being a Liz fan. As I've said before, as a legacy character they could do so much more with her. I'm not against a Finn/Liz pairing though. It is too early to tell though. Though could you imagine if the writers decided to repair ME and KM too. We would get a Liz/Finn/Sam/Dante drama?
  17. SERIOUSLY???? Just more reason for me to worry even more with the 'official' reopening of California tomorrow.
  18. Well tbf, it's not like we don't have her signature on film...thank you Season 9 and LVP. I might sit down and watch this tonight after all.
  19. BH/NJ Ha at Danielle!!!
  20. Agree. I might not be liking the Michael/Willow angle to the triangle, but Swickard has been selling it and I don't at all dislike the storyline. It for better or worse is classic soap.
  21. 6/4 See how much LAURA makes any story better when she is centered? If this is the end of Cyrus, I love that they are playing all of these beats. It started with him running to Portia and taking her and Trina hostage. That of course roped in Curtis and Jordan (which the Cyrus storyline started with if I'm not mistaken). Which of course roped in Taggert. And that roped in Laura as a Mayor which roped in Kevin (nice to see him!!!) as her husband (and the hostage negotiator, too!!!). I loved every moment of it so far and am watching Laura vs Cyrus in the house. And since Carly and Jason had appeared (as background characters at that), it's just a matter of time before they are roped in due to the Cyrus rivalry as well as his role as Peter's ally. I will give them this much. Have we ever had a baby switch where BOTH of the ladies involved knew it was one? I continue to love the layered acting that KS has been playing through this week. She still cares. She still feels about her baby. She still scheming. And she is still playing like Psycho Lady took the baby. I wish she had just said the baby was stillborn honestly. It is too easy for Peter if he lives or Psycho Lady or Austin (who foreshadows already might be connected to the Quartermaines) to figure it out. Oooo the possibilities. But...the beats are being played with that as people find out about Peter what he has done. I loved the moment when Anna and Mac were in Maxie's room for the same reason (taking down Peter), but two different storylines (Franco's murder, the attempted kidnapping AND baby switch) converging at the same time. But ooo, KS plays longing for her baby so well. And yay for Lisel and Britt!!! Love their scenes and is it wrong that I am counting down the minutes until her and Jason are together again. And yay Jason is FINALLY FREE!!!! I can't help but feel the writers are being shady to all the Fliz fans by having them have scenes and Liz has NO double take. Speaking of Liz...FINALLY the payoff to the flashforwards. So it was FINN who knocked Peter down the stairs and Liz is helping him cover it up. Love her, but it's not like Liz does not have experience with a cover-up. And she is totally justified. Now if we could keep the story on her, I'm good. Then again if Peter isn't dead, he's gunning for them. This has been a great week. It feels like storylines are finally climaxing while others are developing or taking a turn in the road. Really great week. There are too many Sonny Crew plots to count. Finishing that week and it was pretty great post-work. Back when the writers really and truly knew how to write grey characters. And OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH, A cliffhanger Friday...who just saw Michael/Willow having sex...and should I assume it's Austin?
  22. Well, HELLO, MAXIE. Looooooooooong time no see. KS is selling the h#ll out of these reveal/doublecross scenes with Peter. And so in character. Cuz the Maxie I used to know would have been scheming, swearing vengeance, and getting it. And she would nail an enemy to a wall. And today (June 2) I realized that she was BACK!!! And she dragged the h#ll out of Peter. And the coup de tat? She recorded his whole confession and sent it to MAC. Yes, yes, yes, YES. It was giving me everything that I wanted at the end of the double wedding and I am LIVING for it. And yes, WR did a great job in those scenes surprising. And even better? FINALLY everyone knows Peter killed Franco. And Drew. Even poor real Chloe. Go on Gladys with the confession. Speaking of coming to a head...Cyrus is heading to an end right now, too? And now we have a hostage situation? I can't wait to see how Carly reacts. And really happy to see Laura there. Meanwhile...Jackie and Finn's Dad are back. It has been a minute. Love these little flashforwards and they have done their job well...wetting the appetite for the main course. In fact the only thing that has irked me has been Willow and Michael. Have several seats. Oh you were not alone. But when you love Brenda, one does not walk away from hating her rival easily. But I do agree. No matter how one felt about Lily, there were at least proof she would be a great wife to Sonny. Very tragic. No lies told. Even given how things went down at the 50th anniversary as TB Carly said...Brenda could totally probably get him to take her back even today.
