  3. Hmmm....Sean is going to be there? We're in. lol. But seriously...AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Chris, you know I love you, but I feel that there have been other housewives other than Jen Shah who have rent a house for filming. Or maybe I'm just getting it mixed up with Housewife Renters period ie. Dorit/PK. NY ... And it was going well. Matchmaking by LuAnn. Nude Model. Ramona being Ramona. It was all good. So of course something had to mess it up. What was expected: Leah being the cause. BUT...for this episode at least...I feel like she was acting out more because of what's going on with her grandmother than her acting out to be relevant. And she came across as human to me. No matter how much she tried to stay normal (well, TV Leah if you will...getting into that old argument with Ramona about being vulgar) it was just not working. So her exploding at the end just seem like frustration over Grandma. And...relatable. What was NOT expected: LuAnn's action toward Eboni. No, no, no, Hun. I...I had to rewatch to see if I saw what I thought I was seeing. The Tamara Braun (with less class) enunciation. The word 'angry.' The doubling down on the 'angry' once Eboni explained why she should not do that and it was clear AF *takes a breath* that there was a missing word between 'angry' and 'woman' and how Lu worded it was implied AF. It made have started about LuAnn's ego, but it sunk into the realm of micro-aggressions. And unlike Sutton over on BH, it looked intentional. Bad form, Countess. BUT FIRST... THINGS I LOVED. OOOOOo...NUDITY. One of my oldest college friends and hometown girl made great money being a nude model in art classes when I was in college. I always liked her freedom to do that given she was a force to be reckoned with girl outside of the art room. So I find people's demeanor fascinating. The guy was interesting to watch. Funnily enough I found him attractive outside of his clothes vs with clothes on. He really didn't look like much though nice personality. But I LOVE the sparks Sonja and he was giving off. Especially since Sonja was not for the matchmaking with the musician. Is it too much to ask that Sonja get some lovin? VICTORIA. I feel like LuAnn's children pop up as cameos when I watch. I only know them by pictures online. So it was nice to see one of them here. Hollered at Ramona sitting with her and asking her about vulgar talk IN FRONT OF THE NUDIST. EBONI. She continues to be a revelation this week. And she is really making me think about how I present myself as a black man. She is witty. She is definitely intelligent and it shows in every interaction she has had. She has been nothing but game for anything and showed compassion. And as we saw last night, she can still hold her own without coming across as the stereotype LuAnn tried to place on her. She outsmarted her good and God bless her for it. How can you ask someone to explain themselves and then not allow them to speak? I mean REALLY??? And that clip of her getting in her feels next week made me want to hug her. I've been there and it resonated. How to get your point across without being gaslit into a stereotype. SONJA. After weeks of Eboni having her back, I cheered seeing Sonja have hers. Their developing friendship continues to be a highlight for me so far. RAMONA. Well, one thing you can always count on...Ramona is gonna Ramona. HEATHER. She just fits in sooooo well. GARTH. WOOF. THINGS I DID NOT LIKE LUANN, YOUR COUNTESS IS SHOWING. And boy was it not a good look!!! smh. The education argument was typical NY and probably would have not exploded into a dark direction. But that classist came out. And that was followed by the micro aggressions. Yeah, no, Lu...as a fan...I really ain't feeling her right now. And the fact that Eboni will be off line for the next few weeks means this is about to get WORSE.

He sure is a BEAST. LORD HAVE MERCY!!!
  7. Yay! Finally playing catchup. Slowly getting into Episode 4. I'm happy to see that the girls are getting a long season this season. I can't remember why Jackie and Simone are fighting. Other than Heavenly wedging herself between the two. Am I missing something? I was happy to see Ms. Quad. Toya is doing too much. And I am liking Anila's background so far. Her trying to pop on the screen...not so much. And awwww...how the kids have grown so much on this show. I was SHOCKED to see Alura.
  8. And now after watching that and seeing the first few seconds of today's episode, I'm wondering if it's Liz that pushed Peter down the stairs. if so...YAAAASSS!!!!
  9. Yes, it's Imani, Hilary/Amanda's sister. They gave her a brief, but intriguing intro last year when Amanda went looking for her family. The actress has great chemistry with MM and I really wanted to see more of her since the writing was setting up that Imani was a force to be reckoned with as they laid groundwork for what seems to be going on with Amanda right now. I'm pretty behind. But I was hoping she would show up again and thankfully someone mentioned that she would be back. XTR just posted some more pictures of her above. But they really do look like sisters. And I loved she was slllllowly introduced. ETA: @xtr thank you for those pictures. She really has such presence in those pictures, too. I love it.
  10. Okay who was that screaming? Looks pretty good and hopefully it leads to someone doing something...
  11. But tbf aren't HWs always renting?
  12. Awwwww HELL NO!!! THAT'S how they reintroduced RH??? And of course right in the middle of a good story, too. I can't. Meanwhile, I can to that Jason/Britt love scene. WOW. I see what you all were talking about. It was worth the wait. And THAT is how you do a slow burn. And the writers keep deepening their characters over this past week. Liking Cyrus vs Carly as well. I continue to like the meet-cutes with Sam and Dante, but just wish the writers would let it happen naturally. I admit also that I like this fastforwarded technique that has been used this past week. It really does built tension. And it just occurred to me that right now, there are so many stories under the same roof at the Quartermaine mansion. Chase's poisoning. Brooklyn baby. Olivia and Ned's problems. That is just board strokes. That does not even include subplots. Things to make you go hmmm.

    O...M...G...
  14. Hmmmm. So GH is looking like a solid C.
  15. 5-21 I thought it was a nice tribute to Sean. If anything I wish for more flashback. But it was nice to see his RL daughter. Loved hearing Tiffany's voice. And I loved the feel of suspense that the episode had. It took half the episode before I realized what was going on. And I grinned at the silliness of it, also a reference to the 80s era of GH. And I loved seeing all the vets. FELICIA!!! And FINALLY her reactions/feelings to Maxie and Peter. And she...looked...PISS#D. I wouldn't mind seeing this go forward. I loved this taste of Felicia vs Anna with poor Mac stuck in the middle. MONICA!!! Well, I am always up for a Quartermaine. ROBIN!!!! Still happy with Patrick. And I loooooved seeing BOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBIIEEE!!! And she came in the nick of time to save Maxie from Peter. And they talked about B.J. I was awwww. It was just such a good episode. Sometimes all you need are vets and their normal reaction to have a bit of drama. 5-24 ALLL SHHH*TTT!!!! We were so close to getting Peter out of the way!!!! Ugh!!! So over him. Of course he would get Gladys before she admit she lied. And now here he is on 5/25, trying to be menacing with Sasha and that 'voice.' I give WR his due because I now hate the character around, not the actor. Speaking of Sasha, I saw a bit of spark between her and Cyrus. I know that a lot of people find him a great actor, but poor writing. But I felt the scene where he is trying to fish out who the daddy of her baby is was great. There was tension. A more forceful Sasha...who needs to stay that way. And there was this look that Cyrus was giving. This longing. This hint of emotion. For a moment, he was more than a cartoon villain. He had a hint of depth. And I want to see more of that. And of course menace. Love the scene. Speaking of menace. Dare it if Peter is not FINALLY giving it. Well, a menace that makes me hiss, eye roll, or glare every time I see him on screen now. And now attacking Gladys. I don't even like her, but NO. Speaking of depth...hmmmmmm Jason/Britt. I really, really, really enjoyed them in the woods getting to know each other and talking about what calms them down. Just swoon. Get closer, and closer and... 5-25 Oooo...movement. Yaaass!!! Well...never underestimate Carly. Ever. I was just about to be all 'come on, Carly. I know you are not going to let Cyrus oneup you when you want Jason back.' And she pulled the burner trick. Fingers crossed we see Bobbie, Maxie, and Brooklyn in a room. I liked this storyline is coming to a head...first turn in it depending on if we get to the see Brooklyn with baby in the Quartermaine house. I love seeing Maxie in schemer mode again. Nice to see she still has it in her. Speaking of coming to a head, Nina/Sonny's story looks like it's coming to one now that Elijah is being slowly exposed. And I agree with a comment a few pages back...he is a menacing villain and the actor has done it well. Meanwhile, yeah Nina is having some feelings for Sonny. Uh oh. Hehe. I like Fake Chloe. She has a personality. Reminds me of Rosalie. And I liked Rosalie.
  16. @victoria foxton well I know that the actor in RL had personal tragedy hit as filming started. So a quick write-off was needed. However, a lot of the audience appeared to have missed it and then Damon is dead vs he left. Still...I am finger crossing he shows up next week. Hehe...I said the same thing about Cubby. That could see as forced. Or they might at have been close at the start of Season 2 when he and Lemar was part of Blanca's house. So...maybe. Same about Lemar. It was very much like how it seem liked how Elektra was written last season. Foe? Friend? Frienemy? He sound like he is sharing that fate. At least, the writers referenced it in the guys' scene when Papi was worried about Pray Tell and Lemar in the same room. And Pray Tell made a quip. Yeah, 'I Swear' will go down as one of the best moments on this show. And yaaassss to Ms. Orlando. LOVE.
  17. Yeah, I'm been curious about some storylines (like Imani for example) but worried about others (Chelesa). And haha. I knew you might say that. re: Sheila.
  18. MS. ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! But seriously, I feel two ways now that I've sat with it a while this morning. Hiissss at my tv system going out last night. On one hand, this was a great episode. SPOILER ALERT: the wedding does happen!!! And it was beautiful. All those wedding gowns. The cameos!!! Candy's was awesome! And Cubby!I It was nice to see a little bit of Angel's life. And this episode (90 minutes!!!) really focused on her and Papi. I felt like I was living with them. And I loved Papi's talk to Esteban about what a REAL man is. Well, darn I loved Esteban period. He was such an adorable kid...just like his Papi. Angel has had drama. And she has had her anxiety. But I just felt like one has to go back to Season 1 to get into some of what was touched on in this episode last night. She really has come a long way. And yes, I wanted to shake her at the beginning for not accepting Esteban. I was heated. It is not the child's fault. And it was before you. Get yourself together. But again, we got to meet her father. We got to see her nightmare about going to get the marriage license. We got to see her frustration babysitting. It was all so human...but I admit...relateable. It reminded me of a Mexican cook I loved who I discovered had 3 kids. I was taken aback. But...if you are going to love the person and be part of their world, you have to accept everything about them. So...I did. Sadly, not a happy ending. As POSE proved throughout its run, sexuality can be as complicated as it can be simple. There were a lot of little moments I liked. Blanca with her man. The Something Blue...hehe. Lulu's storyline touched on. Seeing all of the ballroom at the wedding. 'I Swear.' (my former boss and I were just talking about that song last week as an old 90s hit). The threads starting off the end of the show...Ricky's audition/new job, Pray Tell entering his final phase, the AIDS quilt. BUT on the other hand, seeing the episode as a whole with the season...I am worrying about next week. Good news, it should be a 90 minute episode. But one of my fears has been the feeling of the writers rushing. And I have seen very little of that BUT it was clear in this episode. Angel's feelings over Esteban felt like it was resolved a little too early. Now that we are at the end, Lulu's storyline definitely felt rushed or mostly in the background which is disappointing because I thought it was building to something else. It really does not seem like Pray Tell and Ricky are getting back together. So...is Damon coming back? And most importantly...I don't want it to end.
  19. That is very sad to hear. Good energy sent her way. THIS. Just like his 'father,' when the writing is there, Bryton always gives a lot.
  20. Great minds. I haven't gotten to last week yet, but I feel I am going to feel this month is a C compared to February's B. That reminds me of your post about Y&R/B&B and how DAYS and GH at least have villains that can drive story if need be. Perhaps what the Bell soaps need...is a...dare I say it...Sheila?
  21. And I still look forward to reading all your comments. I agree with everything you said about Liz here and in your other post. Other than Laura, she is the big legacy character and there is so much they could use her for other than propping other people. As a uberLiz fan, I've been enjoying her as Mama Bear as well. But she could be doing so much more than this. I like Finn is leaning on her, but I do not want anything beyond friendship there. As for Jason/Britt, I have to give credit where credit's due. They were a slow burn. A happy accident even when she came back with those hot bangs of hers. They had scenes having to do with Cyrus. And there seem to be a spark. Then they went off to other stories. A scene every few weeks. And then...the storylines converged and it's been building for me every scene. I think I even squealed when I found out she would be his doctor when he got to the hospital. And it looks like I got more things to like coming as I am on 5-20. Sam/Dante felt like they were trying to force it. Then they stopped. Then they tried again. It was like the writers were trying to find the right rhythm...and couldn't. Right to the point where they fell off the backburner. lol. Though they had storylines going on...not with each other. I don't think it is a coincidence that the last hmmmm nine months of spoilers in magazines kept saying Sam/Dante would be in some investigation, but they did not get to said investigation until this month on screen. Finally, I do feel the writers found the right rhythm for them the day that Olivia and Dante were with Maxie. Sam knocked and Dante opened the door. He had that cute smile...something he had not had in a while. And it was a perfect meet-cute. And I feel they had a good slow burn finally since. And now we have that investigation.
