General Hospital: September 2022 Discussion Thread
9-16 Yeah, I really don't know what to make of this week. Except that Ms. Wu is still made of love. The fact that Curtis's bartender sure did find some iced tea with the quickness made me giggle a bit. But...it felt like one of those weeks where the writers throw things at the wall to see what sticks. By the time they started in on the aftermath of Brando's attack, linking it to probably being connected to Sonny...hmmm there's a thought...AND Kristina who really needs something to do...THEN I started to care a bit. I did like how Brando's attack did sprinkle out throughout the town. Like old school soap. And people slowly found out about it while dealing with their own storylines. It feels so weird to see Sonny and Ava getting along, but he really does dislike Nikolas. But it has been a while...perhaps since MC took over as Nik...since Nik and Liz have interacted so much so I've been enjoying it and it ties into their separate storylines. I was totally ignoring the Carly scenes with that old woman (thought LW was doing great work) because her and Jake are so forced, but that backstory bombshell that got dropped. I think we were just talking about KW and Reese in the Classic GH Thread a few weeks back. How long has it been since Reese had even been mentioned? That got some interest out of me? Is this secret enemy after Sonny that's been teased have anything to do with that? Hmmmmm. Speaking of Jake, I might hate the pairing, but CM ages like fine wine and any excuse to get him to that pool and wet (just like Chase whom the writers continue to find any AND ALL reasons to get him undressed) is appreciated by this viewer. Still not feeling Gregory. Sorry, not sorry. I do like Liz is slowly owning that something is wrong. And like I said above, I like how it is linking to Nik, playing on their history. So...Stella remembered she lost the divorce papers. And they are playing that beat. I have been liking it just because I love seeing her, Curtis, TJ (WOOF!!), Jordan, and Portia. And I cannot believe Jordan took the bullet. Wow how her and Stella have grown. lol. If there is anything I disliked...they are writing Curtis a little toooo whiny for my taste. I think I am going to have to eat my words with Dex. Just that scene with Sonny a few weeks ago with some backstory has done some wonders for me so I could be down for him/Joss/Cameron...on top of his story as a double agent for Michael and now he's linked to Kristina, too. Like Esme before him, I'm seeing more potential and the actor's acting has been decent. And yes, I didn't mind him in the pool either. Best of all, I feel they have done him (like Ms. Wu) well by introducing him slllllllowwwwly. Not at first, but for the most part. It has worked for him. And doesn't come across as forced at the moment. Like Cody. Love Mac and Felicia (and Lucy teaming up with Anna btw) having story. But does it have to be with Cody? I see him with Britt and just roll my eyes. Awwww at seeing Britt with Brad. With what's coming, I wonder what they will do with Brad now. Over the Linc storyline, but Chase and Brooklyn continue to be love. I hope what is looking like a serial killer will give this show the lost momentum it has been needing.

9-23 THOMAS...BOOOOOOOYYYY...YOU BETTER READ!!!!!!! LOL!!! Speaking of Thomas...he suuuuure has been looking like a whole snack for the last week or so. And I want BOTH of the shirts he has been sporting. I thought I loved the black shirt with the white stripes. This week he has on a shirt that is the opposite and he's been looking FOINE. The thoughts I've been thinking...mmm. lol. PS. Thank you, Camera Man for 9-22 episode. I've said it before and I will say it again...JMW gives good bitca. I know she's totally in the wrong, but she does it soooo well. And she's sooooo well dressed. I did like Hope getting in her face. I also loved Paris as Greek Chorus with Hope as she had to deal with Steffy AND Thomas. I continue to like Dollar Bill and Li. Though I feel their part of the story has stalled a bit since Sheila's 'death.' Speaking of Sheila, I feel her whole story has stalled. Though it was creepy a few episodes ago when she managed to get to Hayes without Finn knowing. Finn and Steffy being romantic and sexy and Taylor continuing to walk in on them is the running joke that continues to keep giving. I was not behind it at first, but I think I have slllowwwwly come around to seeing a custody issue. Right now, nothing is really happening. Still enjoyable for me shockingly, but it's time for the next story to get going methinks.

Character connections that were ignored/forgotten
Yeah, Michael/Lauren/Paul writes itself. So does Michael/Lauren/Jack now that I think about it. Yeah, I agree. Even after Devon was revealed to Katherine's grandson, I would have expected Victor and Devon to still have connection as Devon with from music to the boardroom.

Character connections that were ignored/forgotten
tbf Maxie does mention Lulu from time to time...especially when she's around Dante. Me...when I saw this thread...the first thing that came to mind was Devon and Victor on Y&R. Once in a blue moon I believe it gets mentioned, but wasn't Devon introduced to the canvas by Victor and he was a chip on his shoulder kid which Victor himself to relate to?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I recall her saying she was from Texas. It made me wonder if she was the Nina that auditioned for RHOD at one point in fact. That just makes me think of it even more. I agree. It was very clear in the last half of the season that Ayan does really and truly misread what others are saying. I am just glad she's woman enough to own she was in the wrong and do the right thing and apologize. I agree. I also loved during the reunion that Caroline seem to realize that as well.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I tried to loop back around to this, but my computer kept eating my post. LOL! I want them all back next season. I have greatly enjoyed the fact that these women have always given shades of gray to me so I expect them to give even more nuances. I've always said that Nina gives me strong D'Andra from DALLAS vibes and perhaps another season will reveal a kooky side to her (besides french fries) that we have not truly seem yet. Also she's one of the only ones who really and truly flexes her wealth...even if it's more a whisper than a yell. As for Sara, you know initally I found her fascinating, but I could not put my finger on it. But she drew me in. But I feel my like for her has lessened. Probably because of that police tea that Lesa and Ayan spilled. And she IS the definition of another side lurking. I look forward to seeing if it comes out in Season 2. I can see what you mean. Lesa and Ayan definitely came on ready. Brooks who knows them better than anyone would be ready. And I'm sure she tipped off Caroline who would be ready already due to the clear fact she and Lesa do not like each other. Sara (on a rewatch) and Nina definitely did come across more surprised. That would even explain why Sara was throwing off light shade. She was not expecting them to come for her with things not shown. Or picking at all. I definitely look forward to Season 2 and Lesa vs Caroline. I actually think it is a case of they are too alike in a different way from Ayan vs Caroline. I don't think it's salvageable versus I could see Ayan and Caroline as friends. But a good rivalry a la Jen and Mary on SLC might not be too bad. I feel they could keep it from not getting too toxic. Yeah, happy to see that you see Caroline still got some fight in her. Especially now that she knows how a HW works versus LoL.

Thank you so much for the tea. I too would find it funny if Mike was in town now that Craig and Nancy are more or less back and them NOT cross paths given the history.

What Are You Watching/Binging/Streaming Now?
Oh lord...not Ally McBeal! lol. Because from what little I've seen of CB on THE GOOD WIFE, she definitely played it to the hilt so Ally could be...exhausting from what I remember of that show. Good to hear about Audra. It moves up in my show rotation on your recommendation.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well, Fatum shot her own self in the foot cuz she was giving and sad they cut all her stuff...moreso since we saw the results in the trailers for the season. That said...I believe she will probably be a flop. However, we need someone who will always have no problem stepping to Jen and not backing down. And with Mary gone, Danna's it. Though I would rather it was Mary since she and Jen have the more interesting dynamic.
