  1. Like I said, it was on the news last night. So for me, it was something that could have waited. And I can think of far more pressing news from what I saw last night that could early have cut into today that concerned me...and frankly the rest of the country. That was more of a big deal since no one would want history to repeat itself circa 1940s. But I edited that OUT of my original post since we are here to talk about THIS show. Not politics.
  2. Yasss Kat vs Eva is ON!!! Our Club? Now Bill... Oh on, Dani!!! Not the bottle. She was actually coming across so well so far this episode. Annnnd looks like I'll be watching the rest later because it seems CBS finds the return of the astronauts I saw on the news last night was more important than finishing the show. Ugh.
  3. Yesterday with Martin, today with Vernon...hehe. Nice to see the guys watching out for their girls. Oh no...not Eva hitting on Tomas.
  4. HAHAHAHA Not everyone ignoring Hayley. And Dani getting to pick on her. Both were well dressed. Hehe. I love Kat/Chelesa. 'The rational non-co-dependent Dupree daughter. I got the other one.' took me out. I like people already know what Joey is all about.
  5. I know right. I don't understand them, but that opening and the vibe was breathtaking. I would watch. I really wish there were foreign HW shows aired here. Because what I've seen, I would love to see. Like LEGOS, this one, that same tweet mentioned reasons to watch HOUSEWIVES OF AMSTERDAM. Of course, JOHANNESBURG. Same on both accounts. That's an ALL STARS season I would love to see.
  6. Darn it!! Missed the first five minutes. That said...I hollered that the first scene I saw was Kat mad at Eva wearing her clothes. And uh oh at this lawsuit. And I was shocked to see that Daphne Rose lookalike in the lawsuit. And it made me wonder how Bill and Hayley will look if they go there with the lawsuit. Awwww at Anita and Vernon. We will see.
  7. I thought it was a good attempt. Perhaps by the time they have another confrontation, there will be more fire to Hayley. Of course, I still feel that Dani will ultimately blow her out of the water. But it will make it better to watch. Or how well people know his style. I'm more curious to see one of Jamey's episodes for a counterpoint to what I see people say about his scripts on DAYS versus what has been mentioned about his work on Ambitions.
  8. Well RC has a style that is very easy to see when you know his stuff. I simply hoped that the dialogue person could save it, but Friday was a poor attempt. Fingers crossed when he comes back around in rotation, that was just a one-off.
  9. Oh, yeah, it's clear that the kids favor Smitty over Martin and he primarily raised them just off how well he can tell there is something wrong. Martin is giving strict dad...which I know VERY well what that is like when Dad and Mom are in the room with their kids. Those scenes...at least for me...rang true which is why I love them.
  10. She did. Love that. Hmmm...it would come with its own drama for sure. But I would say no. I'm not against it, but sometimes you have that FWB who can be there for you when the world is being crazy...which is why I loved them at the end. So I could see them having that kind of a relationship or even Andre turning into another one of her partners-in-crime...someone that lets her be her, but hopefully allow Dani to grow. Yasss!!!!
  11. I would say they will keep the characters as gray or with nuances as possible IMHO. I totally agree on organic conflict. Part of the reason I've been looking the show...besides the nuances...has been the drama has been for the most part organic. Good list. lmao
  12. Yeah, I thought today's episode was sooo much better than Friday's. I guess going forward when I see a certain name...lol. It felt like a Monday episode in that they were setting up the week, but at the same time it felt like it was moving so many plots and still giving some development. And there was just so many nuggets to taste on, I really don't know where to start because I felt all the main plots (outside of Martin's secret) was touched on (sorry you were C story today, Silk Press!), but they all had some movement of a sort. And while it's public record at this point how I feel about episodes that have a slapsticky tone to them, I didn't mind Dani/Pamela's scenes today at all. It was giving more I LOVE LUCY escapades than silly for silly sake. It was also the first time I really felt the friendship between the two of them being on the same level as the Dani/Vanessa friendship. Cady definitely was finding that character and was more interesting to watch. And yasss!!! to Hayley's progression. I've been saying that Marquita Goings has been slowly bringing out the claws and toughness since Hayley married Bill. Because Dani has been making it no contest when the two of them have sparred with each other. It was nice to see some of her toughness come through with the Hayley vs Dani scenes. I still feel Dani will eat her again, but now I feel she will give as good as she gets. A true soap rivalry where it does not feel like the writing is going to be slanted toward one woman over the other. And if there was an A story today, I felt it was more of what was going on with Derek/Ashley/Andre than Dani. No wonder everyone was buzzing this weekend. Somehow on first viewing, I didn't realize Andre finally tried to kiss Ashley. Oops. That said...I loved that this episode brought back up what I thought I heard in the first week...that Ashley and Andre were longtime friends. Definitely longer than the two years Ashley has been dating Derek. And it was good to see everyone getting comfortable with their roles in that triangle. Jen Jacobs was doing some subtle things with the guilt Ashley was feeling at not telling Derek what happened with Andre that I liked. The actor playing Derek was better. And I lived for Nicole using those skills of hers to see that Andre was coming by to talk out his feelings. But I love seeing the Nicole/Andre dynamic, another new relationship to play with and good to know the 'player' only chases (usually) single women. And then that coda with Andre and Dani just being together, no sexy time, just two hurt people together in their hurt and closeness...yes, please. They are finally bonding. And look at Ted sweating. lol. Nicole's determination to find Sherry and Eva's presence (and jealousy of Kat's life) kept Silk Press Sheila's storyline alive and active. I'm curious to see if it makes it all the way to May Sweeps (with at least one more near-miss or a partial-reveal) before we get the whole truth? If so...that will be two months and a week of story and I bet it will be well-paced all the way through if that is the case. I almost forgot. Love the Martin/Smitty family scenes. They really did feel like a real family. Brandon is also finally settling in. And as parents with kids, both actors had a chemistry while they were talking to the kids. And I already feel invested in what's going on with the son. Martin, of course, is still an a$$.
  13. And the style in how they do the intro was really cool. The champagne cork. The model walk. The thrown shoe! And their tagline (other than the last one) was on point. Including the inflections on words that I don't understand but I know shade/diva tone when I hear it.
  14. Ooooo I love how this was done!
  15. Simone is definitely trying for a publicity stunt probably. And Toya was apparently securing a spot next season by dropping that tea about Curtis on WWHL.
  16. TBF, Martin saying that was like the rest of Martin's personality...an a$$.
  17. Yeah. I'm finally watching today's episode and I was shocked that they gave Andre a light colored jacket because I felt like all the guys in that age range have the same leather black jacket.
  18. Thank you. My mind was drawing a blank. And agree. Though I loved Laura Allen on the original 4400 and Dirt. That is so cool. Thank you!! And yes, I remember in the 'Earshot' episode of Buffy.
  19. 3-14 Yeeeah I don't know how I feel about that. Well, I guess first of all I did love that what I said about Monday was true. A story being Saw ripoff, B story being Claire/Kyle/Summer, and the real interesting story aka the Damian storyline which had movement and yet another twist with the reveal that Damian is only the CEO not only being pushed to C plot with Amy out of town, but vanished after Tuesday like I suspected. Really ugh. What hurt the reveals in that story...which have actually been good...is the story being jerked around in terms of it vanishing at odd moments. Now about Wednesday's twist now that I saw the whole episode...uhhhhh. Unless it turns out that Alan is really Martin, his twin, it really does not make sense. I just cannot see Ashley having a crazy Jigsaw-like friend...regardless of Ashley's history. And now he wants to marry Tracy, too? Lord...shock value for shock value reasons. And Tracy was actually happy. That said...I did love Friday's coda of Tracy looking at the phone. If this silly story turns into a Tracy story...well, I love seeing Beth Maitland so I'm not against it, but still...ugh. And Friday was a mess. The whole episode felt like JG was just tired of the story (he ain't alone) and rushed through everything. I loved seeing Chance in cop mode and I continue to like the odd couple of Nick and Billy, but I was over Sharon, The Giggly Heffa, and Their Misadventure last week. It did cross my mind that they might get out without knowing it's Alan. And that could be juicy. But I still question...why them? He has no history with either really. And the fact it was being done like Alan is Jigsaw just makes this Saw fan (who just found out Saw 11 is cancelled today) highly annoyed. It's been so long since I've seen Chloe that I was glad to see her. Even if it was with Chelesa. And NO I don't want to see Kevin. And I enjoyed Chance being there for Summer. Overall, stupidity aside, it was a decent week outside of Friday.
  20. RHOA A little bit better, but like above...I felt this episode was just...ok. It's already starting off bad with Porsha going back to her old ways of trying to control the narrative. And as she would say herself WRONG ROAD, WRONG ROAD, WRRROONG RO. If this is how she's going to be after all of this time...then one of my feet will go ahead and be out the door. I didn't like it before she left, and my tolerance for it has only gotten lower since she's been gone. She should have learned...even with Production playing her as their favorite...that she cannot always have it that way. There will always be someone who can easily poke holes in her narrative. Last week it was newbie Kelli. This week it was Drew. And Drew ain't a newbie so regardless of Drew's deluded ways, Drew can build a case due to her having more authentic moments than Porsha. Also Drew has her fans. Wrong move. At least...for now...Drew ain't giving her what Porsha clearly wants...deflection off that divorce. I felt the episode got better once it stopped focusing on the Trials of Porsha and focused on the fact this is an ensemble show. Shamea continued to be giving fashion and real story with her story with the surrogate. So did Kelli with her talk about her ex-husband and her trying to expand her business...which I actually liked as I am industry-adjacent. Meanwhile, we got a little bit more of a picture of who Angela is as a Housewife and so far, so good. And her starting to clock Shamea a bit will surely leave to a good rivalry since they both are coming across formidable. Brit and her questionable husband is just...there. PORSHA. She was just there making drama with Drew just to make drama with Drew. I felt she explained herself muuuuuch better when she had her luncheon with Kenya. And I really wished that Production has focused in on that. The fact that Kenya and her had such a history and so many people were looking forward to them headlining this new generation of girls TOGETHER. THIS was a moment that was years in the making and one of the best moments of the episode. But we can't have nice things on this show. But Production are bound and determined to punish Kenya so...moving on. lol. And knowing how Dennis acts, Porsha knew better than to threaten him with moving his child away from him. That coda scene was exactly why I didn't want Porsha back. Also why I was Team Kelli last week. KENYA. I don't care if she was in the background like a porcelain doll because she was giving looks and expressions. And like I said...her meeting with Porsha was a moment in the making so so disappointed that Production did not give us more than what we got cuz they want to be petty and spiteful. Looks like she's coming in hot next week and hope it's true. SHAMEA. Like I said...THIS is how a FOH to HW should be. She's giving good moments. She's giving friendship and connections. And she's giving real story. And now...she's about to have a rivalry with Angela. No notes. DREW. Well someone has to be the deluded Housewife. And with ShebySheBroke gone, that would have to be Drew. At least with Drew though, there was usually some truth mixed in with all the delusion which is why I'm not at all hating on her at the moment. I still have the reunion from last weekend on my mind so it might be coloring my perspective on her. I don't think Dennis is the greatest producer in the world, but I don't think she is sleeping with him, either. Not yet anyway. And then that fourth wall breaking with Porsha...she wants to film with her producer and her singing...AND? Now if they get scenes that have nothing to do with those two...THEN come at her. Not before. KELLI. My favorite newbie so far. And she continued to give me more. She seem more toned down which helped. But she has such a bubbly personality that I find myself liking. And her being open enough to talk about her ex-husband stealing all that money was something else. But good to see that her mind is on her legacy for her four girls and expanding her business. There was just something about those restaurant scenes and I don't mean the men hehe that I really liked, and I really would like to know if it gets finished by the end of the season. ANGELA. Mildly intrigued. Charles Oakley is going to be a whole menace, ain't he? lol. But as long as he cooks like he was with those lovely looking steaks that made my mouth water, I'm good. Part of me feels like Angela is just there. But then part of me see how she moves and then I go hmmmm. Like her vs Shamea and calling out the fact that yes, Shamea has acted like Porsha's lapdog for YEARS. And she is not poor at all. The potential is so there. BRIT. Fake. Phoney. Where's the Kim Richards gif? You know the one. And where are my taglines? That's how I felt.
