B&B: March 2025 Discussion Thread
3-7 Finished off this week while spring cleaning. And I still liked it. Well except for Taylee. I think I must have missed the scenes of Carter/Daphne so I was happy for the flashback. Because one minute, she was kissing on him. And then she was off and running. So...she really DOES like Carter. And see Hope as a hussy. lol. But I loved Hope getting in her face and telling her what time it is. Other than that, I felt the truth about Finn and Luna was played pretty gradually. But I've said that I liked how it went from just talk for two weeks in February to just flowing since mid-February. So it was nice the movement kept right on going. I'm a fan of when reveals happen (and they are not happening at a major event) and how it comes out gradually across a soap canvas. So slowly Ridge found out and Ridge was...Ridge. RME. And then there's Bill finding out. And finally Finn told Steffy where Luna was. And now that's going to be a whole mess. I CANNOT believe Steffy just stormed over there. Did she forget that girl KIDNAPPED her? Good Friday cliffhanger, but still... That said... I think I did that spoiler tag right so yay?

3-7 Honestly, I really liked Friday's episode. Not a thing happened, but there were such a series of great scenes that I actually enjoyed. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but most of it was from the Damian storyline. I loved Nate and Damian bonding and the actors really bounced off each other so well that that joke Nate gave hit near the end of the episode. And uh oh on Holden now coming across a little bit obsessed with Audra to the point that we got the unexpected Holden vs Damian fight. And of course, there's the fact of Audra lying to Nate about the extent of her relationship with Holden. Just so many possibilities with the story with people who can act. It's clear after all Claire/Kyle/Summer was the B plot this past week. And I admit that I love the Victor/Claire conversation. It made me think of the Victor/Child Abby back in the day. There's a gentleness with Claire that Victor rarely shows these days so it was nice to see it. They even joked a little bit. I also loved the coda of Diane and Jack realizing that Summer is into Kyle again as Kyle is on the phone with Claire with Summer (with Kyle) and Victor (with Claire) in the background giving sinister looks. That was well-done. Sharon/Giggly Heffa in their version of SAW was C plot. Clearly treading water which makes it even more uninteresting than it is already.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOA I'm sorry, you all. But I felt it was an uneven episode. But again, the potential for buzz and promotion was right there for a good season. They could have had their version of BH S9 with LVP's exit. They filmed enough to build up to it, to show both sides, and then Kenya's final (?) exit. And then getting to the incoming Drew/Porsha drama and the return of Shady Phae Phae...just like Camille's return that season, too. All I got from this episode is that it will be slanted with no Kenya Confessionals, barely any scenes (with that brief Brit v Kenya drama happening in the background), and basically being a FOH without being one barely. It seems to me that Bravo's cutting their nose to spite their face. And that will color everything they did because this is screaming overproduced. That said...there were things that I liked. Since we are being spiteful, at least Production focused on someone who the audience knew...Shamea. I liked her in Season 9 going up against Shady Phae Phae and their drama (fighting over their friendships with Porsha) always rang true and was organic. But since then, she's been there except for being Porsha's lapdog and a good twerk. I didn't hate her though. And I liked the fact that she knew everyone. And the fact she STILL knows everyone makes her a good anchor for the show. As for the newbies...I was already ready to dislike Brit so this episode did not help that. I feel Angela is going to be the dark horse which I loved pre-season because there was so little out there. But now? She is giving S1 RHOA Housewife. And then Kelli...is a LOT, but I like her. And I looooove her backstory. And since it happens later, I did like Production already setting up the potential rivalry between Drew and Porsha with the Dennis stuff and the light tension between Porsha and Shamea. Until then, seeing the newbies be in some mess with OGs (Brit with Kenya, Kelli with Porsha) did keep things moving. PORSHA. I fell out with liking Porsha when it became clear how overproduced she was. And we know it took her being pregnant and the highlight of Season 11 for me to even like her. So you can guess how I feel about her right now. She was always Production's favorite, and it was more of the same for me. Just putting on a show. That said...not boring me and I like someone is speaking for the audience in the form of Kelli. And I thought it was interesting that 1) she came to her BFF's birthday late and 2) pulled BFF aside quickly (and off camera) to apologize. So they have the Eileen Davidson/Ex Soap Opera Star BH Friend Pact? Hmmm. SHAMEA. It's been said online...but it was a whole other thing to see how wealthy Shamea truly is. YASSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! And it explains how she and Kandi know each other because wealthy people move together. And I did think she was talking too much in her intro, but the end of that monologue...well-played, Shamea. You got me as a fan again. The only time I did not like her was she was still being that lapdog for Porsha while also stirring the pot a little bit. I need her to keep standing on her own two feet...while still being Porsha's BFF of course. DREW. I did finish out last season (finally) so it was so funny to see so little of her in the premiere. For all that mess at the reunion, she resonated even though she was far from a saint in the break-up of her marriage. And at least Kenya is in her corner for now, which was good to see given how much Kenya was there for her at the reunion. And LOL at Tampa Ralph being banished to the basement. KELLI. My favorite of the newbies so far. At first, I was like...she resembles Messy Mia in the face. And her personality (just not lying) felt like a mix of Mia and Latoya from Season 13, too. But once she talked about her backstory...I liked her and mad respect for her. And going ahead and coming for Porsha. So far, so good. She was giving interesting backstory and a feud. A start. ANGELA. Her vibe is giving 'wealth whispers.' And I love it. I just sense that she might be good. But her pedigree so far is superb. I look forward to more. BRIT. Anyway... KENYA. Given she's been radio silence (and for the most part reminds so though she has already started to poke at what has been shown), I was hoping that she would at least get some Confessionals or something. I can understand the edit down, but that's just slanted 'writing.' And we are already coming off HW seasons where people want to manipulate the narrative. Just show it all. There were too many moments where it felt like something was going on, for it to be cut off by Production and it looks weird or abrupt. But with what was given, I was happy to see her with Drew. And then she did make it to Shamea's birthday event. And of course...there's the feud with Brit. And she outmaneuvered her in Round 1 by her move to make it sound like they were about to talk...only for her to ignore her and focus on Kelli. How Kenya. Feels more like a hard reboot vs a soft reboot. Cautiously optimistic for now. THIS.

Awww but true. I have gotten to side-eyeing my phone since this show started. Just yummy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I was the same way with Paul Davidson's Paul back in the day. And on GH everyone knows I check for Dominic Zamprogna's Dante. So here we are with yet another good guy cop and I just wanna...but let me stop. Yeah, I was like REALLY, BILL???

I came around to the newbies (though the completist in me wants to finish both reboots), but I agree. ESPECIALLY with 90210. Commenting on them as I type. But Kelli is my early fave. Too much, but a relateable backstory upfront.

I'm not sure I like Jacob's partner. Dani wins again! 'Again?' Kaaaaatttt!!! This ISN'T Chelesa's first time. lol. But I love Kat and Chelesa's closeness. Oooo....stand up out of your chair again, Jacob!! Well, good to see Tomas upfront with Bill. Awww I like Hayley and Caroline. Love Kat's non-reaction to Chelesa's sexuality.

The gift that keeps giving. The show. Or at that moment, how brazen Silk Press Sheila was to give Ted that wicked wink. Trisha Mann-Grant definitely has been playing crazy to the hilt for me, but still...that was a bold thing for her character to do. Surprise MJ did not give anything as Ted until later in the episode.

See? This is why I watch twice. There is always so much going on and I always pick up on interesting things I missed. Most importantly...how did I miss Dani's photoshoot??? GUUUURL...I CAN'T WITH HER LOL!!! She makes it so hard for me to hate her when she be so unserious sometimes. I really thought it was a nice Monday episode. It not only dealt with the aftermath of Dani's arrest, but the Friday cliffhanger with Nicole and Silk Press Sheila. And both plots had interesting dynamics in play and plot movements while giving nuances. Dani, Dani, Dani!!! From being sad to putting on a show to going back to being stuck on Bill again. I was right there with Anita with Dani being deluded. Not that she was completely wrong. And I liked that she and Hayley both see how Bill is attaching to the Duprees even though the ladies had called a truce. I continue to love seeing Hayley growing her backbone, making her into a favorite to watch. And I love it was her that got Dani off. And Bill? He planned Dani's humiliation down to a tee. Tipping off the press. Having Jacob do the arrest. Again aiming his anvil about Martin over him. Gloating to his own daughter who was already feeling guilty over that incrimnating video. Bill gives good Son of a bitca. And ooooh the craziness of Silk Press Sheila. She acted her butt off. And she played her slyness to the hilt. Her little wink to Ted. And I gasped when it turned out that Ted DID know Silk Press. So now I have so many questions. Because I wonder if the affair was long and it stopped six months ago like Silk Press Sheila said to Nicole. The dangerous game going on with her and Nicole was interesting to watch. And I loved the confrontation scene between Ted and her. Though I did not like MJ did not really react to Silk's wink in the hospital scene. I liked how Ashley was used to get an idea of what was going on. And of course since she and Derek are couple friends with Jacob and Naomi, they were going to talk about it. But poor Jacob and Naomi...it was nice that since they were the first together young couple we saw, they finally got to have some angst, thanks to Bill. And I felt for them, a sign of both actor/ress having made enough chemistry, that I hope they work it out. Cuz...yum...on Jacob. But not to be outdone in the trivial department...that blue sweater was looking good on MM. And I'm always down for a bubble so thank you, BC. But it was nice to see all the green actors are truly showing a sign of becoming comfortable in their characters. Or at least from what I saw. Really unexpected things was seeing Eva and Andre interact. And I found that intriguing. And also...Randy was truly being a friend to Doug...which I thought he was just a childhood friend who really didn't care about Doug. But it seems like he really does. So he must feel so conflicted. Agree. A typical Monday episode. And that was not a BAD thing. I did like Anita tried to make Naomi understand so she would not be ticked. But given how Naomi was all about how she had escaped from her mother's craziness, I don't mind that she still has moments when she's trying to be there for her. And she wasn't wrong in her talk with Jacob about a heads-up. Especially since he was being weird with her on that phone call, and her being a lawyer, she picked up on it quickly. So of course she called out the phone call. He had a chance and said jack. But...hopefully, they will work it out. Dani ain't even mad at him. Too busy taking poses.

yassssssssssss!!! lol. Darn right!!!!!!!!!! And I really hate to admit that because I am a big Saw fan. But both SC and MS have given some good moments over the last week. And goodness knows Sharon and Giggly Heffa do need to have it out. It would be nice if they could go to some form of a truce. I always felt that encounter was to rope Alan into figuring out what was wrong with Sharon while also foreshadowing a Sharon/Alan/Tracey triangle once Sharon was over her latest drama while giving Alan and Tracey something to do rather than his allegedly dead twin brother.
