  1. Oh yeah, THE movie to start off a new horror subgenre. I was watching DAYs during JG's run (left right before the rape) so I was thrilled to see Tobin Bell and was in the minority with another John's past rewrite. TBF, that was well-done IMO because it at least tied the other parts of John's backstory together from what I remembered. I heard about the new John rewrite. I didn't hate that. And good to see that that seem like it also dealt with the other parts of his backstory, too.
  2. Yep. I was glad when Quad read her. Shady Phae Phae can STFU.
  3. The most cohesive they have ever been. And I LOVE. My faves...Garcelle (YASSSSSSS), Kyle (I said it), Erika (yes, I said that, too) In-between: Dorit, Jennifer Tilly, Kathy Nope...Sutton, Boz
  4. If you mean the guy on the left, yes, I know who Tom is. Or anyone who watches HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER do. But thanks. I thought it was that show. I agree as well. But I'm sure MVJ has a plan for him. Same. Yeah, and he seems to have left on good terms so how he has acted on top on that (engaging with the audience) will totally work for him. I can also see it being a case of Robinson was not available at the time, but is now. And that was who MVJ had in mind for the role. Wouldn't be the first time in this business. Which is exactly what a new show wants. Like I said the other day, while most of us are used to it, there is a suitable amount of people who this is their first soap or they have not had a soap in soooooooo long, they might have forgotten some of these soap tropes. It also means...MVJ DONE DID IT, tapping into a new audience for soaps where other soaps can't even. So these newbies, I am sure, all will have to wing it. Yep. Indifference is the enemy in this case. And the audience is far from that. Them turtlenecks. ;D
  5. Totally agree. She has traits of other soap characters, but she is originally her own person. And yes, her personality is too big for a lot of folk, but there are people like that in real life so I can understand. I bet Nicole is, too. I feel SilkPress will find out about Eva. The question is when. But just the fact that both of them have a secret makes it all that much juicier for when they find out about the other one. How that scene was set up...nope. Don't believe it. As shown and written...not to mentioned acted...Dani did not know. And one thing we can be sure of...Dani IS the type of character who would have admitted she did in that moment. Yep, Hayley is just impatient to fit in. And as she was told in Episode 1...that is sooo not going to happen on her timetable.
  6. 3-18 See? This was much better. But of course, that had to do with the Damian storyline and all it's moving parts. Let me start with...my trivial...cuz Sean and that bubble...LOL!!! But I've been loving Nate and Damian bonding. I also love how Damian is slowly starting to be included in Devon and Lily's orbit. I also like that they mentioned that Amy and the specialist have tried to get ahold of Nate so they are flying out. However, that was getting me annoyed because it feels like JG is zigzagging with the storyline again. Lest, we forget we got the plot thread of Damian's boss now. And with Nate and Damian out of town, I don't expect JG to follow them...unless he shocks me. He stays fumbling this storyline, and it's the best current one going on. Okay...Holden...stop coming across stalker-y with Audra. lol. But I loved their scenes. And that Devon and Lily picking up on the vibe between them. So Audra's secret is still ticking along, waiting to blow up her relationship. I really did like the Summer/Kyle/Claire stuff. I am glad that Claire is not being written completely stupid and is picking up on what Summer is doing. And AL is playing Vixen Summer to the hilt. My favorite moment...when Claire enters Crimson Lights and sees Kyle with Summer. Claire squeezes her way slightly between them and Summer does this little turn. While Kyle and Claire can't see her face, the audience can see Summer's face, and it was hilarious. This feels like it's getting steam. So...ladies...let the claws out. I also enjoyed seeing Victor briefly. It's funny to think that outside of the above (and of course the forthcoming Tracy story), there's nothing going on. Well, nothing I'm interested in.
  7. I haven't seen it all the way through yet...busy Monday...but I did like seeing so many of the C plots get movements and moments.
  8. And she's going to get it. And it looks like how Kenya described it, too. So good Production is showing it. Now they better show everything, too.
  9. It's coming...
  10. Yet. But like I said the other day (and only speaking for myself), it does sound like the Nicole/Ted/SilkPress/Eva storyline will start to have a build through next month leading into May Sweeps and that would increase how much Ted is seen and what he does. Which is why I leaned into the grind possibility. With the news of the retweets, I am kinda leaning into the perhaps he was not the first choice, but the one available possibility. No disrespect to the actor meant.
  11. It got mentioned. Though I am not sure if it was here or in the main article thread. I could see that. Especially now with the news of MJ retweeting tweets that people asked for him back. We see each other. re: Derek turns stalker Not Nellie Oleson. Is American Dreams the tv show that had Brittany Snow on it? If so...ooo.
  12. Yep. She will have to find another thirsty celeb. hehe. But...same.
  13. 3-17 Leave it to Billy to make the kidnapping all about him. smh. Not that Giggly Heffa was much better. Okay start to the week. The suspense with Tracy and Alan was crazy. And that last scene with them made me wonder if...dare I say...did the wrong twin die after all? Things to make you go hmmm. My apologies for if this sounds harsh, but given that JG always does a dark tale before he winds up exiting a show...was this episode a sign? Because the whole kidnapping was all a SAW rip-off. And now characters are talking about life and how important it is. It would be one thing if this was a way to see Sharon and Phyllis spin off into new interesting directions, but since I don't see that happening...hunni want is this? I was happy to see Chance, Nick and Sharon talking, and even the Giggly Heffa with her kids. But it was just kinda...THERE. Outside of Tracy. I wouldn't mind that at all. I love him. Very. AH is at her best when they allow Victoria to be an icy bitca. It's a shame they wasted so many of her years with her as romantic heroine though she had chemistry with the actors mentioned.
  14. True, BUT a watchable trainwreck. I am still mentally hollering at her impromptu photoshoot in jail. I agree. Issues and all, Dani is frustratingly relatable. And I like the layers she has. But that could be to the strength of how Karla Mosley plays her that I can want to shake her one moment and give her a hug the next. Nah. I think that is just how Nicole comes across with people, but with the immediately family like Andre it was very maternal. At least to me. Though we don't know all of Andre's secrets yet so I can't help but wonder if it's intentional. Same. It has been a light SilkPress/Eva week so I was glad to have a scene with them. She literally said Dani did that when we the audience saw Dani was not even at the country club while it was going down. She's been told since Episode 1 (and several of us have mentioned the scene up to now including me) how the people of Fairmont would treat her once she married Bill. So she can't be shocked that the country club FOUNDED by the family Bill divorced himself from would be slighting her every chance they get. Or the people who work there who worship the Duprees.
  15. Somewhere Larsa is laughing. Same. I originally was not planning on watching Season 5 either due to what happened to Monica, but it was a pretty great season. And that SLC Dinner Party from Hell will always be a favorite. The ladies knew they had to have a superb season after the excellent Season 4. Mission accomplished. There were no filler episodes for me even when there were episodes with no Mary. Mary, Mary, Mary. Her best season. She was still her, but adding so many layers to her. Showing how a Housewife SHOULD be. Good work. And I liked The Bob for the most part until the end...though I felt any issues I had with her at the end was put aside during the reunion, but you will see for yourself. And oh, how, I hated Britani, but she DID manage to win me over at the end with her comic relief and honestly her taste in men. I think Production finally found themselves a successful FOH for this show. I can't answer those next two paragraphs lol except to say...I look forward to your thoughts on the reunion since it touches on both. You said it! The ladies had a lot to prove after Season 4 and the result was a season that was very enjoyable, rewatchable, and old school Housewife season. And currently filming with some tea already spilled.
  16. True. And his connection might be the thing that makes her go and get help. Or him giving Nicole the heads-up. But...time will tell. Again, love the connection though I don't necessarily want it to be a love match.
  17. Yep. He has pedigree. Go, go Power Rangers indeed.
  18. Finally got around to my rewatch. And...yeeah, so not a cliffhanger. Though it did work as a a nice appetizer. Still...I was bummed. THINGS I LIKED. DANI. These writers. One thing that I've loved since the beginning has been how divisive she is. For the things, I like about her, there's always something I don't like about her. If anything, the writers be writing slanted to her. She can be so annoying half the episode, only to be sympathetic by the end of it, or vice versa. Right now, she's in her sympathetic moment, and Karla Mosley be selling it. But awwww at the hints that Dani is about to become an alcoholic. DANI/ANDRE. I continue to love how Andre is there for her. And regardless of what Dani says, she clearly likes him. Whether it turns to love or just stay in this FWB bubble, they have been enjoyable. They definitely have chemistry. And not every FWB has to end in love or just friends. They will do like this...for now. But a growing connection is not a bad thing to have. I also really loved Andre gave a heads-up to Nicole. NICOLE/TED/SILKPRESS SHEILA. Say it ain't so. Not cracks in the foundation that is SilkPress and Eva. That said...it is interesting that they both have a secret over the other one. And I'll just say what I said already...I do feel that Silk Press Sheila might be crazy, but she really is telling parts of the truth through all of the lying. I'm looking forward to the full reveal in terms of the timeline of the affair. ASHLEY. Good to see she finally got scenes with her mama. And those were good scenes, too. It was nice to get some of her POV on Derek being stupid enough to run off and her feelings about the kiss. I'm not sure I'm down for a triangle with her, Derek, and Andre, but I'm curious to see where it goes. THINGS I DID NOT LIKE. GIRL, BYE. Now, Hayley, you did that to yourself at the country club. Dani...for once...did not do jack. I also wish that she would follow her gut. She's already seeing the Bill/Dani dynamic. She's already pointing it out too much. Those two like to get a rise out of each other. She's just there.
  19. Perhaps it's because Carter is showing remorse. Meanwhile, Hope can't be bothered. But...she's not wrong to not be bothered so...
  20. I see it. The more comfortable she has grown in the role, it's clear she's a good actress. She even reminds me of a friend of mine with her acting. I do feel she's been lumped in with the actor who plays Derek. And even with that, I feel he's (too slow) growing into his role. In fact, he screams 'actor who is only good if he is playing psycho a la RSW on DAYS' to me. Or any actor or actress who can't play a good character because they come across as bland/boring but give them crazy/evil and they bloom. That's what my instinct tells me at least. I was more thinking of the cases for Kate Roberts and Billie Reed where they both had periods of time off canvas between recasts. And I think Austin was the only 'sudden' recast in that period of major character recasts. But it's been a loooong time since I thought about it, but remember it discussed in SOD. I want to say it even made the BEST&WORST that year. I could be wrong. I was not watching regularly during RKK taking over for Bo and Peter Reckell reclaiming the role so I cannot speak on that too much. See? This is the first picture I've seen that is giving Ted to me.
  21. TBF, there used to be a time when US soaps did that. DAYS was praised for its ability to do so in the 90s with people who were debatably just as good as their actor who came before.
  22. Well, I'm sad to hear that. But I know I am in the minority in terms of liking Ashley. But thankfully, the general consensus is that she is boring, or people feel indifferent to her. OH? Uh no now then.
