I loved Finn Carter and Sierra during the Marland years! Sierra was such a subtle character but the development of her character from 85, when she first appeared to the end of 86' was so dramatic when you actually think about it, but it was a gradual change that was rooted in story, which made it so believable. From those scenes of Sierra being manhandled by Tonio and wanting to hide the bruises to her response to Lucinda's plea for her to reconsider divorcing Tonio where Sierra saucily says "If you think he's such a great husband, why don't you marry him?!" And Sierra admitting that (in marrying Tonio) she made the biggest mistake of her life and she was trying to fix it. So you went from a character who was once easily manipulated by her mother, lied to and cheated on by her husband, to someone who creates and determines her own agency and under her own power, charts her own life course. That was some deft writing on Marland's part, which made it all the more sad how Sierra's character was torn up in '94 to facilitate Craig's budding relationship with Samantha. I know Finn wasn't returning to the show so something had to be done to resolve the issue of her marriage to Craig but considering the fact that Scott didn't even stay that much longer anyway and Kirk and Sam soon got together, I consider it kind of a waste what they did to both Craig and Sierra at this point-from then on, both characters became somewhat expendable. During the Marland years however, the character grew in esteem, albeit quietly. I didn't really start watching ATWT live until summer 1985, so it was a bit jarring to find on Youtube Sierra's early scenes where Craig found her in Montega as a tomboy/rebel-fighter speaking English with a Latino accent. But it just goes to show what a great writer Marland was by how well Sierra was integrated into the storylines. Oakdalian uploaded some terrific and feisty performances by Finn Carter (playing opposite Scott Bryce) from a November '85 episode under the title "Lily Meets Holden," before her disastrous marriage with Tonio. Sierra had an accent??

I wonder if a Crisis of Infinite Earths storyline might happen Please don't ever do that again! I didn't make it up, someone else came up with that that was last year, a lot can change in a year The CW renewed every show this year, even Legends of Tomorrow which was suppose to be so expensive that people thought it might last a season. If they do move to the CW they would probably recast or get rid of Cat Grant. Calista is stating as Cat when the show moves to Vancouver http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/supergirl-season-two-cw-892629

The producers of Supergirl said the CW can NOT afford the show at all. CBS would cancel before they moved it. IF it were on the CW there'd be NO heat vision, flying, superbreath. Basically she'd have no powers that's such BS I totally agree I agree, I think Supergirl might do better on the CW. Makes me wonder if they'll do the Crisis on Infinite Earth arc IF and when Supergirl gets transferred to the CW

According to synopses posted on Daytime Royalty, Leslie died in June 1976 and Joe died in November 1976. didn't Leslie kill herself? No. Mike's first wife Julie (Hope's mother) committed suicide, I believe. Leslie was killed when she was struck by a car driven by Spence Jeffers. wasn't Leslie's death a near recycle of Robin Lang's death?

HELL NO, that walking atrocity wouldn't have worked as Ellie or Meg. Susan Batten didn't do five SECONDS worth of research to figure out who her character was. She played a reserved, intelligent business woman like a bad hillbilly knock off of Elly Mae Clampett. (And seriously, I'm not knocking Donna Douglas, TBH, or actors with southern accents) But to be that CLUELESS, regardless of your friendship with management, tells me she didn't GAS about anything other than a paycheck. I'll admit ATWT wasn't perfect, but at least they tried to cast roles appropriately. This was the equivalent of recasting Lucinda with some trashy, washed up hair model. AR-T wasn't Meryl Streep. But she deserved better than what she got, and the recast ruined the character of Connor. then who should've they casted Susan Batten as?

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Thanks for posting! That was at the tail end of his spectacular first era. I still think he sabotaged it on his way out. I didn't realize he was at DAYS until November of '97. Nearly every storyline took a nosedive around September and even Michael Logan smelled sabotage, as he admitted in his Best & Worst of '97 column... (Good Christ, the random soap opera things I remember, yet I barely remember what I ate yesterday). 19 years later, and I still don't know what Eric's dark secret was. Unless they're referring to that rewrite for him. Does anyone else remember around early '98 when you saw someone stalking Eric around Salem Place, and based on the boots & jeans, you would think it was a woman. Then when they finally revealed the person, it was a guy from Colorado and there was a one-day storyline about some faux rape allegations or something. Whatever they initially planned for him was swept under the rug. That must've been Sally Sussman-Morina's decision. Makes you wonder what Eric did in Colorado

Was it the writing or EPs or the time slot it was in? Wonder if Laura Wright's first scenes are available anywhere?
