I recently was watching an interview at the Archive Of American Television with Lucie Arnaz and she was discussing her family/career. She mentioned about how she had to learn to be a good stepmother to her husbands 2 sons and it didn't really dawn on me till later " oh yeah, her husband is the ex of Robin Strasser". Lucie and Larry Luckinbill have 3 children of their own. Later in the interview when she discusses the death of her mother Lucy, she said she was living in LA again at that time and mentioned that they had to work out things with her husbands ex and then just says long story.
I wonder how Robin & Lucie get along ?

Great photo of Audra. It's weird to think how funny and lovable she was on Three's Company as Mrs. Roper and then to hear and read how hateful her character of Liz Matthews was on AW in the 60's.
I listened to some audio clips of her as Liz from 1969 and she was a raging witch.

Patricia Bruder had a ton of hair in that photo. It looks almost like a hat.

Thanks for the classic articles. I wonder why Bell never put Kevin & Julia together in the end ? Terry Lester was awesome as Jack. I laughed at the part where he said he learned to open up by watching Tony Geary.

There was a Dave Gibbs who had a bit role on AW as a cop during the time Tim was on the show. Was it the same guy?
According to his IMDB page, yes it is. It's listed on David's acting credits appearing 1995-1998. It now has Tim listed as his brother in the bio section, but I don't know if that is fact or someone just wanting to link the two "Gibbs"
David was a model/actor in Sale Of The Century 1983-1989 (entire shows run), but IMDb has just 1983 listed, which is wrong.

I have read in a few places that Timothy's brother was David Gibbs, the blonde male model/actor on the 80's game show Sale Of The Century. I don't know if that's true or not.
David was killed a couple of years ago in a helicopter crash. He was a stunt flyer for TV and film for twenty something years after Sale ended.
I remember reading the other Sale male model Gregorio Gaviati had a role on Days in the early 90's. What role did he play ? He seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.
Female Sale model Lou Mulford has appeared on several soaps and a clip of her on Capitol is on her youtube account.

I loved the Janice/Kim story. It was a refreshing change from all the storylines going on at the time. I couldn't stand Courtney either. I thought she looked like a teenage boy.
When I think of Rosanna I throw up a little. I remember being baffled when Yvonne Perry was nominated for an award within months of her debut.

I noticed that all the women are posed in the front except BO and all the men are in the back except for PSM. They should have switched them.
I think it's funny that Bo is posed next his TV daughter, while her TV mother is all the way on the other side away from her. PB probably doesn't want people to remember she played her mother and really is that old.....LOL

The woman next to Leann Hunley is Katy Kurtzman that played Lindsay in season 1.

I saw Bo Hopkins on a 1968 episode of Mod Squad with Joan Van Ark. He was kind of creepy then too. He had darker hair at that time and must have decided to go blonde soon after. JVA had her original nose/face.
In the pic, I think the the chick between Bo and Leann is Katy Kurtzman who played Lindsay.

Pamela Sue looks like Valerie Harper now. John James has aged quite a bit. I don't think Al Corley knows how to smile. He usually always has that pained look on his face 24/7.

I recently bought season 5 on DVD. Is it just me or was Billy Campbell hilariously bad as Luke Fuller ? He talks through his nose and is just really awkward. You can tell Jack Coleman is so uncomfortable playing Steven.
Season 5 is when the show really fell apart.

Noticed Liz Hubbard in the Brim commercial. I kept waiting for Mike Minor (Brandon) to break into song with Erica ( like he did on Petticoat Junction when he and Betty Jo had a spat).

Great ad. When was the last time they advertised Pepsodent on TV ?

Aaaaah the 80's, such a glamorous time period. Great promos. Seeing Stephen Collins in that Gold Monkey promo was creepy. My Mom got some of that Forever Krystal perfume one year. I thought it smelled kind of strange with a strong alcohol odor.
I always thought Doug Barr from Fall Guy should have been on a prime time soap. After FG he joined the cast of Designing Women as Charlene's husband Bill.

Thanks for posting the article. I remember reading a recent interview with Campbell and he said that the reason he didn't stay on Dynasty beyond 1 season was the fear of being typecast. He said he was up for the Riker role on Star Trek that went to Jonathan Frakes and said he knew if he had gotten that role, he would be typecast for that.

I just ordered season 4. I hate the way they split them into 2 volumes just to price gouge customers.
Thanks for the rare photo of Linda with George. I wonder what kind of backstage drama stories we would be getting if he had remained as Blake ? He and Joan would have probably killed each other......LOL

I think this is Randy Hamilton today.

I can't believe that Terry Lester never won. He was excellent as Jack. It's a crime that Y&R was shut out of the nominations in the 70's and early 80's.

I didn't watch Texas when it was on, but have been watching episodes on youtube and fell in love with it. I get a kick out of Rena in her fur coats and calling everyone honey.

It's interesting to see Caryn Richman on Texas. She later played in The New Gidget 1985-1988 with Dean Butler (from Little House), Sydney Penny (AMC) and William Schallert (I think he has played everyone's dad at some point).
Fred Kohner who created the franchise said out of all the movie/TV Gidget's, Caryn was the most like his daughter Kathy (Gidget) who he wrote the books about. He died shortly after production of this series and I guess the franchise died with him since there hasn't been any more updated projects with the character.

That one episode is always listed as being October 1982, but it's actually from spring 1982. By the end of the year the Fosters/Brooks were pretty much gone except for Jill, Liz, and Stu.
