Well, Skye/Tracy fought over Luke for awhile. 🤮 Plus, there was that strange period of time where Skye was actually dating Ned. The last time she was in town she spent most of her time with Jax trying to get the Alcazar fortune she lost back. Nina, Ava, and Carly are all characters in a similar age range taking up a similar space Skye would. I wouldn't mind a non-RC take on the role, but GH never knew what to do with Skye in the first place. She probably would just end up being another person hanging around the Q living room bickering with Tracy.

This is actually my true take, but I am open to Lila Rae and a recast if necessary.

Skye having a baby with Alcazar is also super random to me-and then she's part of his murder. It's all weird lol. I just don't see Emma as a "bad girl" long term, so it would be nice to have a vixen in the group. And hopefully she is cast racially appropriate.

Yeah, I am pretty sure Lila Rae was born in 2006 and would be 19 without any aging. I would probably keep her in that age range to mix it up with Joss, Gio, Emma, Trina, etc.

Well, you know I dislike RC/Skye and I know that you want Gina T for this. That being said, I don't know if RC is "retired" retired. I think she's been saying she's happy with her husband and family on their farm or where ever, but I don't know if she'd turn down work if she was asked. I just don't think she's actively seeking it and no one is asking lol. I agree with @DRW50 and maybe see what Carrie Genzel is up to, but I am fine with Gina for this.

No problem. It's honestly just my opinion from reading between the lines through the years. I am sure other people's mileage will vary on this. It's hard when a character never appeared on the show and you only hear others rhapsodize about her after her death.

I think kicking out a 16 year old Sonny to stay with her abuser was pretty crappy. Plus, giving Ric up entirely to Trevor wasn't solid either. Idk, times were different back then, but it does seem like she chose her abusers over her children. She was obviously a victim and it's sad, but I don't think she ever went above and beyond for either child and was more concerned about keeping a husband. I just don't think she was a very good mother and the show portrays her as a saint.

Considering the fact Adela sounds like a horrible mother no matter how many people pretend she wasn't-that's faint praise.

No. They had no chemistry at all!!!! How dare you? I will say for a brief period I did enjoy the way Sonny was written in regards to Konnie and her DID. Sonny actually did seem understanding and did seem to care for her deeply. Yeah, I suppose Maura and Mo have some chemistry. Ava is fine with Ric. I don't like Ric much anyhow. I have found him useful in this return though.

I mean, when's the last time any leading lady had the chemistry to work with Mo? Tamara Braun? Megan Ward? Some are better than others-I'll give you Watros-but Mo's been a chemistry vacuum for years 😂 There are a lot of RH's on GH. For some reason I thought Annie did have some interaction with Hearst's A-M. I could envision a Ric/Nina pairing with Watros. I don't think Ric/Nina with Stafford was anything more than a rushed stunt.

I honestly don't recall MS's Nina having much to do with Sonny, but it already feels like a physical mismatch to me. I could see RH and Watros working. Did they interact much on Guiding Light together?

No. I pretty much hate any version of Nina to this day. I will say I am the only person ever to think MS's Nina and IR's Jax actually had some chemistry though.😂

Yeah, even the worst couples on the shows in the mid 90's had build up-even Lily/Miguel. And, hey, at least Ricky Martin and Lily Melgar were willing to do love scenes I suppose. Is Nina a Ron creation?

Okay. Your memory sounds about the same as mine. He claimed he was related to Lily to Sonny, Sonny said he'd look into it, and we just never got confirmation one way or the other. I am sure there was probably an actual idea at some point to tie Juan, Sabrina, Carlos, Julian etc together into some plot against Sonny. Ron either got bored or realized no one on canvas besides Sonny would care about characters related to Lily in 2013.

I swear at least Carlos said he was Lily's illegitimate half brother or told Sonny that. I just don't recall if that was true or not. ETA-His soapcentral bio just says "Relatives-unknown (he claims to be Lily's half brother)"-SIC. So..........I guess we just don't know lol.

Lol! I read that like four times and it still makes little sense through no fault of yours. Tying Sabrina to Juan is just boring on top of boring lol. So are Carlos and his twin actually related to Lily or was that a lie? I am sure it doesn't really matter because it didn't really make any difference in the story anyhow. Sadly, I was thinking about them and Lily/Miguel would probably be a popular pairing pushed in this current era. Against the embarrassment of riches with mid 90's couples they were glaringly bad. Realistically, they had as much chemistry as BLQ and Chase do today lol. Lily's baby rabies and adoption woes would fit right in.

I am sure you and I have discussed this before, but I still wonder what the canvas would have looked like if Rosalind Cash had lived longer. I have a tough time envisioning the Wards in Guza era GH, but I have to imagine they would have had a greater impact.

For completionism sake the Lily/Miguel side of the story is them finding Juan (and perhaps future PC resident cousin Sabrina), meeting him, deciding he's better off with his adoptive parents, and leaving him in Puerto Rico. That basically puts a pin in that story until Juan shows up aged a few years later. Compared to the Sonny plot it's all very pointless and dull which is just par for the course for Lily/Miguel in general. I don't have much love for the Sabrina era of GH, so I still haven't quite figured out how Juan and somehow Lily's (fake?) brothers are related to or involved with Sabrina.

I remember Brenda screeching to go get Luke and Sonny's all "naw, he's good. He'll figure it out. Let's have sex on the beach instead". Some things never change. A lot of it's in this playlist. I don't think the entirety of the shows has ever been posted. It's Sonny/Brenda edits but it has most of the PR caper or at least the most important parts. I included the glamour shot of the hotel lol. This person just cut a lot of Lily/Miguel/Juan stuff which is a choice I agree with.

You can't say GH didn't get their money's worth off that location shoot. I have seen Sonny jump off that tram at least a million times. And, not directed at anyone in particular, but if you re-watch that location shoot the promo for that hotel was so intense. Sonny literally walks past that hotel to try to find Brenda? for at least 5 mins more than once. That doesn't sound like a lot of time, but it is a lot of time to watch MB just walking on hotel grounds. It's also kind of hilariously dick-ish Sonny just watches Luke get shot and fall off the boat and decides to just leave him in the ocean.

Oh, I definitely think Becky is underrated and I don't really understand the reticence of putting her and Jason together for more than a few moments. They were popular. And LL2 were extremely popular as well. Idk, Liz has just never screamed leading lady to me. Maybe it's actually because she has a more subdued performance style. I certainly would have pushed Liz and Liz/Lucky in 2009. Becky seems more like a victim of events and circumstances outside her control and that's why Liz never really broke through as a lead. Oh, she was absolutely fired. I liked GV's Lucky too. It was clear the writing was always slanted against him. The minute JJ stepped back into the role Lucky suddenly had a brain again.

I can agree with that. I think JY/GV's Lucky really sidelined the character for me almost permanently. And Liz got shoved aside for new flavors of the week like Sam/Courtney. I do think Guza was interested in Lucky when JJ first returned, but Guza still preferred Dante and then Vanessa returned and Lucky was sidelined off to Ireland for Balkan Irish capers🙄. Becky always seemed lucky to keep her job in those days.

To be fair, though, were Lucky or Liz ever A players on the show? Maybe for certain periods in their respective runs, but they've always been more supporting than lead, IMO. I don't have an answer as to why, although there have always been other characters that seemed to be more important to the writers-even outside the big 3.

I would argue she should have thought about that a lot MORE before her liplock with Jason.😂
