CIARA's outfit would have been fine if the cameraman wasn't literally filming down her shirt. You could see Victoria's bra and boobs for at least half the episode lol.

Lol. I just really disliked Melissa. Melissa was gone before Billie and I THINK before Carly. I have no idea who the people are on the right of Bo. Was that the weird time they recast Caroline and Shawn? I think the kids are Eric and Sami. Marlena and Abe look fancy and fresh lol.

Lol. No one cares about Melissa. She's a non factor. I do side eye the Billie/Carly years and the multiple divorces, but I still consider John/Marlena's 1986 marriage to be their real marriage even though it's not, so I'll let the whole thing slide with Bo/Hope. Kristian looks great so when you hear 40 years of marriage you think she was like 11 when she got married.

I am no Bo/Hope fan girl, but I think the ages were about 18/22. It was more Doug finding Hope in a comprising position with Bo that gave him a heart attack lol.

Doug can legally order drinks and has since he arrived so I assume he's like 22 or 23. A little too old to be creeping on Holly, but they are all graduating or graduated (Ari) so it's not the worst.

I am glad Ned gets some say. I don't really understand why he was left out of this decision. We have no evidence that Ned wouldn't have 100% supported Brook's choice. I can understand leaving Sonny and Olivia out of this if BLQ didn't want to reveal Dane was the dad, but Ned should have been in the loop. Yes, Donna is the most adorable child in the world. An unnecessary Sonny/Carly child, but adorable AF. Justice for Avery though. Where was she?

There wasn't any exposition on this that I recall, but I was too busy sobbing over John's death to notice if I am being honest.

I don't think so. But it works so I can't complain. Correct. All of these men (except Rory at this point) have proven their talent so there isn't any bias or drama here.

Same. They are easy to tell apart. I had trouble telling Chad Duell and the guy that played Dex apart at times, but these guys are just like men that look slightly similar? Not even the same age range. I don't really get your point. These people aren't the Ford brothers.

It would have been cute if Lucky did perform and dedicated a song to Elizabeth who couldn't be there, but we don't get nice things Blaze wasn't actually that good of a singer. I judge Miguel Morez (more than usual) for his taste in opening acts.

Sorry. I sincerely should not have brought that thought into the world.😂

I mean, casting handsome, young, white men with floppy hair isn't exactly a new thing for soaps. All these characters are supposed to be handsome, young, white men so it's not odd. If we want to talk about Trina's love interest being Cardboard Kai I can agree. This isn't the same thing.

I think we all dodged a bullet when Violet didn't get flown in to sing with the kids.

I am not Jason, but I shared your confusion. I thought Shawn mentioned he had to get on a flight to see Bo a few days ago. If he was just in Salem this whole time Shawn could have easily stopped by as could everyone else that was super concerned. I don't think they would move someone in that dire condition on a plane or anything, so it seems like a continuity error IMO.

As much as I love JJ and Lucky I don't think he should be able to make that call. I don't really think I needed to hear Eden McCoy sing some weird auto tuned ballad with Trina today instead. Carly's shake it off speech to Lulu was funny. "JOSS is singing!!" Get your priorities straight Lesley Lu lol

Umm.. that would be highly insensitive considering Drake died of cancer.

I would have preferred it happened off screen as well. The excitement his family had about him coming back makes it that much sadder and tragic. I don't really need to see a family say goodbye to not-John. I won't even go on my Orpheus rant who's beef is actually with Roman and not John.

We will agree to disagree on this. He would go see Marlena first, explain he has to help Bo, and then go meet Steve, Shawn, Hope, etc. I know that realistically isn't possible, but John would never keep Marlena hanging like that IMO. She's always been the most important person to him. There were also MULTIPLE people working on the Bo situation. John could have taken 1/2 hour to see Marlena especially when she was obviously so worried about him.

Yes. I am not capable of telling you what my perfect ending would be for John, but I think it would involve being a hero and taking out Orpheus or even a now alive Stefano or something. But then they would win. Idk, it just an impossible circumstance for the writers. There is no way the John we know would just immediately go help Bo before going to see his family. I had a similar feeling when John was killed off in a "random" car accident years ago, but that obviously wasn't permanent.

DAYS: May 2025 Discussion Thread
Yeah. As one of the biggest John and John/Marlena fans here I don't like this exit. I know the circumstances were difficult and Drake apparently signed off on this. I think him dying while killing Orpheus was the way to go. There isn't a scenario I can imagine John not immediately running home to see Marlena before he helps Bo. It's very difficult to watch his family wait for him and be so excited. I am positive the aftermath will be great. I just don't love the exit.

I am not a big Anna/Duke fan, but that was an awful return. IB/FH certainly are better together than Anna/Valentin though. I could care less about the tango. I don't know why some actors are doing multiple performances anyhow lol. I certainly don't need the Chase variety show hour. IIRC, Jonathon Jackson can sing just as well as JS or Bradford, but I guess Lucky and head nurse Liz aren't cool enough to get an invite.

I don't think Josh Swickard's voice is horrible or anything, but the show makes it seem like he could just casually take up a singing career if he felt like it because he's that talented. He's not. I am not sure he would even be able to be a backup singer on Broadway or in most bands. I thought DZ was the worst of all the dancers, but adorably so. You could tell this wasn't in DZ's wheelhouse and it was fun. On the very light-hearted end of the Nurses Ball shindig. Gio Mazza continues to impress. What a find. It's a shame it took the show an entire year to give him any meaty material. While Joss was off playing spy games on air way too long. The violin smashing was perfectly in character with someone related to Sonny lol. Nature vs Nurture. The Corinthos side won.

Great point. GH will never go there and it's just like we love Robin? And the cure. It's not a bad cause and it's great to have a cause in these times. It feels a little dated to me, IMO. Also, Emma called Sonny "Mr. Corinthos" and not Uncle Sonny and I have never been happier. Who told Josh Swickard that he could sing? Dominic Zamprogna's inability to dance is adorable for some reason.

GH: May 2025 Discussion Thread
Honestly, Gio's performance was probably one of the best Nurse's Ball performances ever. It shows how contrived and silly every other act was. 90's Nurse's Balls had their silliness too, but it tended to be with characters we cared about-not two nurses that get trotted out 3 times a year lol. There was also some genuine singing talent happening with Vanita Harbour, Rosalind Cash, and even Ricky Martin. I don't think anyone on the current cast has that high quality of a singing voice. I suppose Ned can go rock out again lol. The other issue with the Nurses Ball is that the cause isn't very relevant. Obviously, it's amazing how far we have come with HIV/AIDS treatment, but without Robin, Stone, Jon Hanley, the Quilt, etc. it's hard to feel like the cause is close to anyone's heart except for a few people that were near and dear to Stone/Robin.
