Thanks! I thought the Enrique stuff came before the Thorne stuff. And Enrique wanted to marry Claudia, but she wanted to marry Thorne lol. I guess it was all dropped. It really didn't make a ton of sense.

I don't really remember what happened to Enrique, but wasn't Claudia involved with Thorne for a bit after that? And Macy was jealous and called INS on her lol. But then Thorne was into Taylor and Claudia didn't need to be the third wheel in Macy/Thorne. That's how I vaguely remember it but I could be wrong. Lilly Melgar is gorgeous, but she's dull as dirt, so I am assuming B&B just cut their losses because she probably didn't come cheap after her GH run.

I think the Claudia/Enrique stuff was dropped pretty quickly because Bold wanted to stunt cast Lilly Melgar and George Alvarez after their GH stints and the minor hints that Det. Garcia had a crush on Lily on General Hospital. I think B&B quickly realized Lily/Det.Garcia were not the draw in the "Clink/Boom" storyline and both actors were pretty boring and they just moved on like they do with most of their stunt casting. I am not even sure why they were cast. She played one of the most hated characters on GH and he was nothing more than a glorified day player, so I am not sure who they thought was going to follow them to B&B. Bold is full of dropped storylines and actors, moreso they any other soap I think.

I guess that's fair? But I don't even see any potential conflict. Where do you think it's going? It's 2 B/C characters. Maybe it will be amazing and I will eat my words, but I don't have high hopes. Most likely, as @AbcNbc247 said, she will lose the baby.

I loved her as a cokehead. It wasn't good acting, but at least it was mildly entertaining. I prefer her to Willow by a lot so I wish she would do something. I would even take a wacky Deception story with Lucy over this. I used to like the Katherine/Lucy/Brenda shenanigans back in the day.

Lol. It's 2 unattached adults that have jobs and are basically okay people having a baby. Is that even a story? I don't see any conflict there at all. Sasha is a women in her 20's/30's? who can support a baby on her own. Unless there is a WTD twist this whole thing is dull.

I like Sasha more than most, but her having a kid with Brando is zzzzzzzzzzzz... Does anyone even really care lol?

I am a die hard Jarlena fan. I have loved them since 1991. By far my favorite couple on Days to this day lol. But I liked John/Kate. They were hot. It was something different. They thought their spouses were dead. It's a soap. There should have been more conflict with John/Kate/Roman/Marlena after they returned but after Roman/Marlena's geriatric pregnancy JER just moved into the ridiculous Alex North story and Kate/John haven't acknowledged they were engaged since 2006. I get Jarlena fans were mad, but did anyone ever think Jarlena wasn't endgame? Kate's been through a million pairings since then and I honestly think she fits better in her own age group. LK is super gorgeous and looks great, but she needs to be involved with her family and age appropriate love interests. Jake sucks. It's a shame they killed off Stefan and I do like BB, but this character is a miss. I don't even think him and CB have much chemistry this time around.

I think I would feel a lot worse for Kate if I bought the Jake relationship at all. Kate has had like a million love interests in her time on the show. It's hard to invest in any of her relationships. The last time I bought a Kate relationship was her/Roman or her/John. Age appropriate love interests.... Jake is an ass for doing that to her and Gabi should want more, but Kate will be fine lol. Think about Kate's love interests through the years: Bill Curtis (not really a love interest but her ex hubby) Victor Roman John Stefano Clyde Rafe Ian Daniel EJ Nicholas Alamain Ted Andre Deimos Eduardo Jake I am sure I am missing some, but that's off the top of my head Honestly, good for Kate, but she is practically Salem's one woman welcoming committee for Salem's new men on canvas.

SH is okay. She's not Eileen. She's not exceptionally talented or charismatic enough to even try to pull this stuff off. It's a huge ask for ANYONE to even remotely pull it off, but I figure I might care more if Eileen was trying. To me, everything about Kristen that was interesting, fun, or had any layers is gone. Kristen is ruined. Unless they get ED back in a few years I would say leave the character alone. It's played out. That was pretty unbelievable and I definitely eye-rolled that, but the story was a lot better. Same with the Tale of Two Romans. It made everyone look like idiots (especially Marlena) to think DH and WN were possibly the same person lol. Drake is like 6 inches taller and has different color eyes, and hair, and everything lol. While those stories (and the possession) are not my favorite, they were at least decent and had a rooting value for a core character(s). I cared about Tony, Roman, Marlena, Anna, John, etc. I don't give two craps about Kristen or Kristen/Brady. The Nicole mask stuff was mildly clever but enough.

Yeah, that's all fair. The build up for the Susan/Kristen/John/Marlena stuff was lengthy and unbelievable, but the payoff was good. Although, in 1997 they immediately stalled everything with the Roman recast and the clear intention to use Eileen, but knowing she was already leaving and just giving her lame stuff to do. The luster of Kristen has worn off. It was good in 1997 because everyone thought she was good. It was decent in 2012 because we knew Kristen was bad but we didn't know what she was up to. But your are right, now we are just like Kristen being Kristen lol. What's next? I think I would be more invested because I am invested in Eileen's Kristen. I love ED's Kristen. SH's Kristen has never resonated with me. She's just not Kristen, but she's had stinker after stinker of story. Long winded response made short, she needs to be rested. Brady needs to hook up with Chloe. Phillip needs to be thrown into to that triangle or with Shelle and the Last Blast Crew need more story. Lani/Eli need more. There are plenty of characters to pick up the slack that I like.

While I do agree that the initial Kristen stuff was a new novelty and had much bigger implications because she was the main obstacle in the main story and main couple in the 90's that story was ridiculous af as well. It required John and Marlena to both be unbelievably idiotic (especially John). And it really was implausible the Susan stuff could ever be pulled off ever. It was campy and I enjoyed it, but let's be honest, no one but Eileen could have pulled it off. Towards the end of Eileen's run, after the reveal, I was ready for her and her characters to be gone though. But I couldn't even imagine SH trying that story. And I do hate this Ron/mask stuff and it's doing a decent actress a disservice, but Eileen probably could of made more of it. Although, Eileen's Kristen wouldn't even waste her time worrying about Chloe or Sarah, so Idk, it's basically two different characters. It's not SH's fault, necessarily, but I think Eileen's mere presence would give Ron more pause to make the story more worthwhile.

It's pretty awful, but I think Eileen could. She sold all those ridiculous Banks siblings including a male one. I mean, it's hideous writing, but Eileen sells Kristen as truly threatening, devious, and cunning. SH is trying, but she lacks the gravitas and history Eileen has and ED has better chemistry with her co-stars. So, I don't think we'd be raving about this story with Eileen, but I think it would be better. Plus, I feel like Ron would have amped up Jarlena's involvement with all this if ED was playing the role. I just think the whole story would have played out differently with Eileen.

Ugh! I hated all that Sami/Rafe/EJ baby switch stuff. I felt like Ali/Sami was crying everyday. I never bought Sami as a true heroine and the show gave her so many kids so quickly. Idk, it just never felt like the right fit for Sami as a character. I know a lot of people liked that era though. Lucas and Chloe were always random for me. But then again, every time a writing regime changes so does Chloe. Sometimes she nice, sometimes she's a schemer, sometimes she's a vixen etc. I don't think anyone has ever had a clear idea what to do with Nadia/Chloe since appox. 2002. Chloe seems like a generation too young for Lucas, but Adrienne was a generation too old.

Lucas definitely brings out a comedic side to Sami and she works best as a schemer or as comic relief. She never has worked for me as the tortured heroine. She's not her mother or her sisters. I hated the years she was the lead and all the EJ stuff and the baby storylines. AS/BD really excel at humor and work with each other so easily. I guess they have been doing it for 25 plus years, but their connection really shows. It's really obvious when BD does scenes with Sami and Chloe. He and Nadia have no chemistry. Why were they ever paired up lol? Lucas has had some weird pairings-Adrienne, Chloe, Nicole? Random....

I was never much of an EJ/Sami fan. I always preferred Lumi. I don't think they have the hottest chemistry, but they play off each other so well. You know they are meant to be. Allie said her brother was gay and it was fine. To me, Chanel is bi even if she doesn't want to say it. The 'no labels' thing doesn't bother me much. It opens Chanel up to a lot of possibilities even though I doubt the show will go there. It's clear it was all for shock value, but I didn't hate it. Again, I have trouble buying Allie as a crazy party girl. She seems so boring.

I am not really even much of a Sami fan, but her and Lucas continue to be a bright spot on the show. I am really enjoying AS's run right now. She is so much better away from EJ. I like Chanel and Allie too. The kiss was random and I don't really buy Allie as a huge partier, but I like it when people have actual friendships on the show. Chloe is a total idiot, but I still like her. The Kristen/Susan stuff is super obnoxious. I hope it ends soon.

Isn't she a professional poker player? I live in the Vegas area and have seen her playing in Casinos. I think? she lives here. Anyway, her face doesn't look that different, but she is ridiculously thin. Idk, she has no play on GH and is annoying, but I wouldn't mind her back as Mimi on Days. She would work on the canvas well right now.🤷‍♀️

Yeah. It didn't really effect the show or anything. It just didn't really belong in the episode. Not that I am complaining, I am glad Sami and Marlena had scenes. It just didn't fit with the rest of the show. And I am late to bring this up, but aside from the complete waste that was Laura's death. Does anyone in town beside the Deveraux clan even know Laura's dead? Weren't Marlena and Laura best friends? I am still angry Laura went out like that and is it dropped? Did Gwen kill her? Have we just moved on lol?

Was I the only one who thought the Marlena/Sami scenes were weird? Not weird in content, but super random in the episode? Coming in late then they stopped showing them 20 mins before the show ended? They had to be edited a lot or just left over stuff. Poor Phillip, he should really examine his life if he is stuck drinking with Roman lol. I know Roman hasn't been Roman since Wayne left in 1994, but man, is he awkward with the ladies. That's not Roman as a character. He's never been suave exactly, but he bagged Marlena and Anna-he must've had some skill at some point. Has Kate given ANY indication since 2005 that she had feelings for Roman at all? I know it was Kristen as Kate, but his wooing skills are embarrassing. The Gwen/Jack/Chad/Abby stuff was fine. Not great, but not awful.

I am ashamed to say I thought he was pretty good too. I don't think he is going to take over the music industry or anything, but he was decent. Better than his acting and he actually had some personality.

Yeah, I remember him coming back on and off. I really loved him with Olivia. I think I would rather have Johnny back than Jake on Days, but GH wouldn't know what to do with him. @watson71 I wanted to say Mac/Iris, but I haven't seen enough to really elaborate on it. I think it's a great choice and surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier.

Thanks for the corrections. I was doing a lot off memory. I can't believe Johnny was around for a whole other year!! I thought the Starr/Cole car stuff was resolved earlier. I remember the Connie/Kate/Johnny stuff and the Carly/Johnny stuff I just don't remember it lasting that long. Makes sense that GW introduced it all first. I just remember it all blurring together and the Soleito reveal with Claudia lined up closer with the Starr stuff. I think I would have preferred the Soleito's to the OLTLers because at least there was a Tracy tie and a mob family made sense on GH.

So the Tracy stuff had to do with her investing or funneling dirty money while she was married to Gino and Anthony Zacchara blackmailed her into marriage over it. The Johnny stuff was mostly used as a plot point for Sonny to humiliate Johnny publicly, so he announced at a party that Claudia was his mom, not his sister, and Gino was his dad. To be clear, Anthony is Claudia's father. It didn't really go anywhere. Johnny was sad, but nothing really happened because Claudia was long dead and I think Barash was gone less than 6 months later. But like I said, it was right in the middle of the OLTLers coming on so it probably wouldn't have been that popular to have City characters come on since we were already inundated with a bunch of characters from another soap.

Yeah, I don't know what the trend is with bringing actresses/actors back on the same soap, especially ones so highly identified with a role. It didn't work for SB or TB. I think Claudia was much better planned out than Kim, but did the show think we wouldn't recognize SJB because Claudia was evil, had black hair, and wore red stilettos lol? I don't know if I can see SJB playing Carly as she is now, but I'd be willing to see her take it on. Shows seem so unwillingly to take the risk to bring the original actress/actor back when the recast is popular. Don't bother to secure the person if you aren't going to make the move to put them back in their original role. Same with WN on Days as Alex. Why waste everyone's time and have him interact with the same people he would as Roman. Cut your losses with JT and make him Roman again! I can't think of a single case (outside of a long lost twin situation) where this sort of casting worked.
