Lol! At the end of the day Carly/Sonny are equally crappy to each other so I don't blame either in this situation. They are just toxic. Whatever. I did enjoy their scenes today. It was a good fight.

Yeah, but I think Mo was clapping back at Sonny/Brenda fans more than Carson fans because that was so soon after Vanessa left and they divorced. Mo's been over the Carson pairing for years (like the rest of us). I think he would take just about any other pairing. LW (at least publicly) is much more pro Carson.

Yeah. And there was no weight to his one night stand with Tori. It's a who cares situation. They weren't in a relationship and she was no threat to Marlena. A child and a wife from his past would a bit more interesting. Not that I can see anything being a threat to John/Marlena, but some insight into that past would nice. But I guess we have been down that road a million times before. I don't know if you are going to give John another kid at least try to make it dramatic lol

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
It seems unnecessary because you would think if they had to give John another kid it would be from his forgotten past or another kid with Marlena from 1986. It really didn't cause a lot of drama either. There was a moment John/Paul didn't get along but it passed quickly and Marlena didn't care, so why did the show even do it lol I know. You would think Paul's mom would at least secretly check up on her sons father every now and then. He was clearly in the newspapers during that time. CS was so wasted and it was annoying.

This one is a little different for Carson. I have to say there are parts of it I like. Carly walking in and her sad face was funny.

That love scene between Nina/Sonny was filmed so oddly. I do actually think MB/CW have chemistry and I had to LOL at Carly walking in.

Oh! Nothing against CS. He's awesome. I loved Paul. The story was just dumb and I can overlook it, but it still makes no sense. It also happened all off screen so I disliked that. It's not like John is a newbie character. There was stuff that happened on screen the show could have gone off of.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Obviously, but I assume she could have done more lol. Marlena barely blinked about it. John/Marlena weren't together at the time Paul was conceived. It was kinda crappy to do to John and Paul. But whatever. No one seems too mad about it.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Google tells me Tomlin and Whitesell. Idk, it all was very flimsy because Marlena didn't even care and it's not like John wouldn't have taken care of his own child. And I don't recall John even being that mad about it. It was just basically a non story. Does anyone know if Paul's still paralyzed?

Thanks. For some reason I knew she worked for the Dimera's but I could not remember in what capacity. The whole story was strange. I think it was just a one night stand and when she went to tell him she was pregnant she found out he was a priest. Which, apparently that's a deal breaker even though he had kids already? And apparently Paul's mom (Tori?) never googled her sons father again to find out he wasn't a priest anymore. Stupid.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
The fact he got Paul's mom, Isabella, Marlena, and Kristen pregnant in like a 5 year span is a choice for the John character, but it didn't really effect anything so whatever. Paul could really be just a random guy and I still would have liked him. Even if he was conceived at the same time as Will he shouldn't be that much younger than Belle/Brady. And I do get a tiny bit skeeved out that even though they aren't blood related Will probably shouldn't be hooking up with John's son. John's been married to his grandma his entire life practically and raised his own mom lol. Yowza! He's so hot. It was always very vague as a backstory. I am pretty sure Paul's mom was the Dimera maid? Am I wrong about that?

I am pretty sure John visited Paul off screen not that long ago. Or at least it was mentioned. I mean, John barely interacts with his children on the canvas, so it's no surprise.

I love CS and Paul. I never thought I would like a randomly retconned John child, but Paul was awesome and I am ignoring the fact his SORASing or lack there of is ridiculous. Even though they obviously don't look alike, I thought he channeled Drake's mannerisms well. The fact that he was on the losing end of the Sonny/Will triangle is baffling.

I don't get the blazer thing. The only reason I can think of is because AS might be uncomfortable after having a baby and wants to cover up. I have no idea, but I assume it's the actress's choice, not wardrobe, because outside of Maxie, GH usually does okay with that.

I actually think it would be much more interesting to have John possessed. I know Drake has about 3 guarantees a month, but it would make sense the devil would come back for revenge and possess John. It could have been the exact same thing via Doug with John protecting Marlena and becoming possessed. It would be a welcome change of pace from John always saving Doc. The show is making it seem like being Possessed is a complete pass to act like a jerk and no one will care after. I know Possession and the Devil have a lot of different tellings and characteristics throughout history, but I wish the show would at least be consistent about theirs.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Lol that is true. Marlena was damn near dying but Johnny had a cold🤣 But i think that part of it is not part of this Possession because 70 year old Marlena seemed physically fine as well this time.
-
Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Yeah, the Devil is all over. I thought they came back because they had unfinished business with Marlena specifically. I do think CB is doing a good job, but the Devil isn't doing anything Johnny just being an a** couldn't do lol. The other thing about this is it's making it seem like being Possessed is 'fun' for lack of a better word. Marlena was physically deteriorating in her first Possession and Johnny is galivanting around town like he feels fantastic-no ill effects at all. And has the Devil just given up on Marlena so easily or is it going to hop back to her eventually?

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
I figured it was something he picked up in Europe? I have no idea if fencing is popular there, but I didn't question it lol. It seems like a bougie thing a Dimera would do, although how influenced Johnny truly was by Stefano/EJ is hard for me to figure out. My biggest issue with the possession, and there are several issues, is why possess Marlena at all? Besides it being a throwback, it had no lasting consequences besides Lani/Paulina. Marlena isn't even on dealing with the fall out except for a few apologies here and there. As much as I want to care about Johnny being Possessed it's not exactly carrying the same weight as the show's main heroine. We hardly know Johnny.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
I am a little confused why Paulina is so protective of Lani/Ray. I know he's probably the worst, but Lani is a grown women that's a cop with kids of her own-I think she can handle herself and could handle knowing he's her father. It's not that dramatic. I mean it's Lani, so it's probably headed for catastrophe, but in theory it's not that big of a deal. I was also confused when I was listening to Ava/Tripp. He wanted her to keep the ring in case Rafe proposes? Can no one on this show afford rings? If you can't afford a ring you probably shouldn't be proposing or just get one that's in your budget?

Lol! I thought it was cute. It looks weird here, but when she put it on in the Pub yesterday I liked it. Also, I know RC didn't know but what a lame way to go on the Olympic break. They couldn't have added something in?

Well, it's the price they had to pay for beauty. Yeah, I don't know. It's really stupid. Pathetic for Craig to spend half his life denying his feelings and lying to Nancy. Him being bi and cheating is enough to ruin the marriage. I am assuming RC thinks this is maximum impact for the reveal, but it's just a joke. Especially if

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
The only idea I had is Julie somehow gets entangled with Victor via Bo/Hope and maybe move that into possible romance since they did almost test that later on, but the Bo/Hope parental stuff would have dried up a few years later too when they left. It so hard to guess. A good writer could do it but the show was so Marlena/Brady/adventure/youth focus it's hard to imagine for me. I see them mostly used in a capacity as Doug Place's owners where they were there when things happened and just peripherally involved.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
Yes. It would make more sense if Stefano did, but I surmise not since the devil threw him off a roof lol. Say what you will about Cin, but that most likely will be a gorgeous baby. I am actually glad they aren't saddling Johnny/Chanel with a kid as well because they give these characters all kids so young.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
I thought the exact same thing about Johnny/Chanel having a baby and it being easier, but I am wondering if there is something specific about Ben being the father. MarDevil was very persistent about Ben being a father. Nancy specifically said something about dumping the chowder on Craig's pants while ranting. I think it was intentional.
