I know there was a lot of ego involved with Tony and I understand being frustrated at always having to play Luke/Laura, but it's a job. TG shouldn't get to dictate what he wants to his bosses. There is keeping talent happy and just obliterating Luke/Laura entirely. Regardless of everything awful about Luke/Laura-it seems like a disservice to the audience that loved GH for years to never put them back together. It just seems unthinkable to not have them end up together-even if it is Laura going to find a now not dead Luke off screen. I have never been enthralled by Luke/Laura and most days didn't even like them. I have always thought they had nice chemistry, but I didn't see the worldwide adoration over them. But for Laura to have her main family as Nik and Spencer feels completely wrong. Again, I like Laura/Kevin and Laura's stories right now, I just don't think it's the endgame for her. I don't think it's even Kevin's endgame-that's Lucy lol. I do think Kevin/Laura is a nice, true to life progression of partners you would want after such chaotic experiences. But on a soap thats boring. That's the most depressing thing I have ever heard lol.

I definitely understand TG being an issue and GF being in and out through the years. I don't think any of us on here are losing sleep over L/L being broken up and realize it was toxic. At the same point, you are alienating the most casual GH viewer by having no Luke, none of their children (outside Nik), and having Laura in a whatever pairing. Dante/Lulu were very popular! ER might have not been the exact right fit for Lulu, but the couple was immediately decimated once she started. Lucky is maligned by being off screen and making Liz parent alone. GH has no real anchors for lapsed viewers to come back to unless you are really big Sonny fan. FV is intentionally handicapping the entire show and it's obviously not just a Luke/Laura issue alone. In my perspective, I recently had a friend stay at my house. He watched soaps on and off and said I'll watch Days and GH with you. Days is awful, but he knew John, Marlena, their family etc and could follow along. Watching GH, he was like don't know these people. Don't care. Listen, I would be fine with a recast Lucky/Lulu. I don't know where to go with either exactly, but half the stories on the show would be more impactful if they were involved because we know them. And maybe it would take a load of Maxie and Liz having to carry all these ridiculous stories and fave actors.

I am not arguing their creation or validity as a couple. The fact is Luke/Laura did happen and were the most famous couple in all of soaps. The Spencer family is currently almost non-existent on the show. It crazy (to me at least) to see the trajectory Luke/Laura/Lucky etc took from their heralded 1993 return to today. I know that's a long period of time and things changed but I don't think any other soap on the air today would have snuffed out such a famous coupling so completely.

I think I would prefer Elton John. JPS singing "Tiny Dancer" would make my day. Maybe some Rocket Man?

Yeah, I know a lot of people are happy about that. I am certainly not a L/L stan and never was, but it seems like so odd for the show to do. I guess I am used to Days where that would never happen. But GH does actively hate all it's supercouples so there's that. I know Luke/Laura have been dead for years. The dismantling of them is just crazy if you think about it.

I was literally just thinking yesterday, it is so strange neither Lucky or Lulu are on the canvas. With Luke being 'dead' that whole side of Laura's family is gone. Obviously the grandkids are there, but it does feel like a gaping hole. I think I would open to both roles being recast. I wonder if the show has really actively tried to get JJ or JMB (does she still act?) back. TC/JJ/JMB did have a great dynamic with each other and with GF/TG. I thought JMB/Lulu was one of the coldest actresses ever to play a heroine, but she did really well within the family stuff. I even thought they had good chemistry with NP's Ethan.

Yeah. I am sure it's much less of a headache to deal with MC than someone like Tyler. It really seems like GH did give TC multiple chances, but he's always been Nik to me. MC really does seem too young for the role, especially with Spencer being aged. And Ava seems older than Nik with MC, but I am not sure if she is supposed to be. With the montage I found it strange too. I remember they at least used to a brief little clip montage at the end of the show and say "Happy ____ Anniversary GH! Then again I can't recall if they have done anything the last few years.

I mean, to be fair, how much can JoDevil do with the Cin baby until it's born lol? He's definitely not fixated like Marlena was, but Cin are just hanging around town. He can easily grab that baby later, but what's the plan there? Is JoDevil just going to take a baby and make him the devil spawn. That plan will take awhile lol. At least MarDevil was doing some evil things like chaining John to a wall and pretending to be Kristen, commiting Doug, setting Christmas trees on fire and having Jan sleep with Shawn. JoDevil broke up Tripp/Allie and Gabi/Jake.

Especially since Johnny is a Dimera and does have a right to work there. It makes no sense. Sure, he couldn't run it, but he could very easily get a super high up position there just through nepotism. Focusing on his movie career would make actual sense. JoDevil hasn't even really caused any chaos. He broke up a few lame couples and his own marriage. BORING

It's a special kind of bad to ruin the show's most talked about story. I think we knew it was going to happen, but I didn't think it would be so boring and uneventful. And try to take over Dimera. Johnny could do all these things without being possessed. MarDevil was much more cunning and did more in the beginning of the story.

So many characters to get rid of. I don't think Valentin is at the top of my list, but in my top 10 lol. I like Sasha, but I don't even understand why her and Brando exist. Meanwhile, we have so many historic characters that need to be back instead of RH and ME playing random new characters. I just don't get it. FV is apparently good at streamlining the budget, so why don't they cut some of the massive cast?

Haha! JPS can obviously play a good villian, Valentin just gets the most bizarre writing on this show. I know we need acts for the Nurse's Ball, but c'mon. There's a point where it doesn't work. Helena wouldn't jump into show tunes lol. Obviously Valentin could disappear forever and I wouldn't notice, so I don't care that much. This show has so many extraneous characters. Half the cast could honestly go.

Idk why people continue to coddle this delusional woman. It's insanity. She should be in a hospital.

Lol. I don't mind MS as much as most people do. Agree that Valentin is the lamest Cassadine ever. Remember when other characters were talking about how awful and evil he was? Is he going to murder people with his piano playing and love songs?

Anna is consistently one of the best characters on the show. Possibly the best lol. Tony, Maggie, Kayla and everyone is acting like an idiot about this. Anna the ONLY one making sense.

Yeah, she's decent with MB. Nothing special, but there is chemistry. Funny, I thought Stafford had much better chemistry with Ingo though. Obviously, neither here nor there now, but her pairing with Jax fell really flat. I think MS was pretty good with Valentin too, but most of the time I forget that character exists completely until he shows back up on my screen lol. Come to think of it, Nina's had quite a few love interests.

Anyhow, I do think that acting worked better as Annie. I am not a GL watcher by any means, but it did come on at a very weird time in my area during that period and I did watch that story. I thought CW was great. The problem is probably Nina more than CW, but I have never liked her portrayal. Idk, there are a lot of middle aged blonde woman on the show that fill the same role on the canvas pretty much. I can't seem to care about any of Nina's stories and her screeching about Sonny/Wiley/Carly.

Yeah, somehow Days can have several wacky stories and still make them boring. The Devil story drags on and on, the Sarah/Renee story is idiotic, Leo/Chad/Sonn/Craig is silly and demeaning to Nancy, Rafe/Nicole/Ava is something no one likes, and the Lani/Eli story gets very little time. Then you have characters like Kayla/Steve who haven't had a story in ages. In fact, I am not even sure why they are on the show lol

I get it. CW is trying and is a good actress. I sometimes wonder why she's so shouty and and dramatic though. I know that is an ironic thing to say when the show employs Laura Wright's Carly as their main lead lol. It doesn't always bother me and I appreciate it in scenes with dullards like Michael, Willow, and Sonny. I just think her and Kin were both too much today. Maybe it's because I could care less about Wiley though

I am pretty good at accepting Days silliness and going with the flow, but the show is really unwatchable lately. It's always a show to make fun of and I know it's been worse, but I am struggling to get through episodes. And I in general could watch Deidre Hall read the phone book to Drake and be okay. I really don't like a single story right now. Rafe still likes Gabi I think lol. I haven't seen the stuff with Gabi/Sonny, but I can't even imagine the show going there.

Marshall is so dull. I couldn't even watch his scenes with Sonny without yawning and for once it wasn't MB's fault. I know everyone loves CW, but I am the only one who thinks she tends to go over the top in her acting a lot? In the Nina/Scott scenes-I felt like she could have reeled it in a bit.

MC started off okay, you're right, but he just is missing something as Nik. Maybe it's the brooding, mysterious thing. I mean, I think we are all glossing over the YEARS Tyler phoned it in as Nik, but I would love to see him back at some point. I am sure it will happen someday. Yeah, nothing happened special on GH today. I thought they usually did a montage or something at the end. Not even a little mention at the end of the show. Young TC was so hot. I just loved him.

It seems like he still has a lot to deal with, so a soap probably wouldn't be great for him at the moment, but in the future. He looks good. I will always have a special place in my heart for TC's brooding teen Nik. On some soap board I heard his ex-wife was very wealthy, so I am not sure he needs to work depending on the settlement or if he got any money. I have never warmed to Coloma either. He's fine, but I wouldn't miss him. Great minds lol. I am watching GH now and haven't seen anything special.

Has anyone seen Tyler's State of Mind with MB? It's really interesting. I am glad to see he is doing much better or at least seems to be.

Yeah, you're right. It's pretty funny Carly/Nina were just arguing in the middle of the class. I would be very unhappy if I paid for that class and that was going on.
