Yeah I agree. The thing is Frank seems to be doing an okay job and keeping the budget in line, so no one at ABC cares about GH or what he does. There are huge flaws with GH and obvious ways to make things better, but I also get the sense no one on the GH writing staff or behind the scenes has a connection to the Brenda character the way Guza did. MB seems to be the only one that advocates a Brenda return and it's not like he really cares that much as long as he gets story. The longer Brenda as a character stays away the less relevant she is. Will she and Sonny ride off into the sunset? Yes, I absolutely believe that, but Brenda could actually do more things on the canvas than be Sonny's arm candy. The show wastes so much time on characters that don't have a fanbase or any history instead of just bringing back a character people really like.

I have no problem with Vanessa knowing her worth and sticking by it as I am sure she barely got paid anything while leading the 90's with her stories and couldn't get what she wanted in 2003. It's very clear Frank has a personal issue with her specifically and I don't see any cons to bringing Brenda back. It seems like a no brainer, but maybe her position is less solid without Jax/Jason on the canvas. And even if she wants big money I can't see it being much more than Howarth or Easton who are on their third failed characters. I don't see how she'd be worth less than MB unless we are paying MB for loyalty and not actual skills. It's a shame the show doesn't see the same worth in their female leads as they do their males because at the very least a Brenda return would garner buzz for the show. I mean TVGuide is talking to her for no discernible reason lol.

Isn't it great how a 90's Brenda/Sonny pic can make me think MB is hot? Even knowing everything I know about Sonny now I still looked at that picture and was like "they are such a smoking hot couple"....😂

Lol! Thanks @Taoboi for the tag! I do feel like it's 2002 again. But I am in agreement with @Vee. It sort of sounds like Vanessa being Vanessa and trying to get herself back on the show. It's clear she's game. The question is how much does FV dislike her and her antics? She had to do something big to piss him off this bad. It's been an entire decade of no Brenda... It's a big enough return to confirm and the show has always pimped her returns to high heaven so if she appears on my screen I will eat my words and drop dead from shock, but I find it doubtful.

I loved Chelsea and Rachel Melvin. She had one of the greatest character turn arounds for me because I absolutely hated her when she first appeared and adored her by the time she left. I actually loved her with Nick until it got weird and he slept with her mom. Did we know Max/Chelsea were married before Kate said that yesterday? Remington Steele Hoffman has a nice smile. He just smiles at completely inappropriate times and it's a strange acting tic he seems to have. The Paulina/Sloan conflict is strange. I don't know why Paulina feels the need to be so self-righteous about covering something up while Sloan always fails to see her dad was a total perv. It leaves me feeling like they both suck. But I do like Sloan. She has grown on me even if her acting hasn't grown lol.

It absolutely looks like a Beyond Salem episode especially when they give the location/time updates lol and use some weird hospital commercial background for the ISA headquarters. I highly doubt Hope's spy skills are revered throughout the ISA.😂 Marlena is going to telepathically reach out to John. The moment everyone (just me lol) has been waiting for. I think KA and SBu have really good chemistry. Yes, I hate myself over it, but they do........ Peter was a little better today. So the screen said several hours later and cut to John/Steve at the Pub but the second scene was Kate/Bo. Were they just literally standing around staring at each other for several hours because the scene picked up the same scenario/convo lol. I am absolutely interested in my faves and watch for them, but I would be fine with their children being involved. I know people talk a lot about the veterans airtime and I always enjoy seeing them, but Deidre is like 75 years old. We are lucky she is still acting lol. And, yes, Drake has a visible hearing aid.

Oh for sure. It would never work. On a different note, I noticed when Kate was talking to Bo she was saying they were family mentioning how she was married to his father and brother, but no mention of being his daughter's grandmother. Does Chelsea not exist anymore? lol..

I think Bo/Bille/Hope could have been a much more viable quad ala John/OGRoman/Marlena if all actors stayed in place or even with a PR swap out. I don't think Rinna had awesome chemistry with PR, but she herself was a chemistry magnet back then so I do think the triangle had legs. If RKK stayed as Bo there would have been more rooting value towards Bo/Billie, but if the timing was better and people weren't leaving as others were coming I think it's a strong top or 2nd story to John/Marlena/Kristen as opposed the third or fourth tier treatment it was given in the late 90's. But it is what it is. I do think Bo/Hope were done a bit dirty by JER and I don't have the strong pull towards them as I do to John/Marlena and I think it is wholly based on when I started watching and who was the #1 couple.

Yes, it's a shame he's such a problematic person because his Bo was a real moment. I think he had a different take on Bo than PR, but had a more electric presence. Even ignoring everything else, he had very little chemistry with Kristian and she was back, Lisa was on her way out and CC's Carly was also gone, so the writing was on the wall for him as Bo. I honestly don't think he was long for Days even if he was a model employee once PR was available and KA was back longterm. Then again, JER really loved his Bo/Billie, so it could have gone either way.

I didn't know Genie had an issue with him. For some reason I thought she spoke positively of him. Thanks for letting me know. I definitely was surprised he was hired especially with his issues and his 2nd AW stint tanking plus the fact JFP actively had to seek him out. There were plenty of actors in daytime that could have taken on that role. I wasn't a huge fan of Miriam Parrish/Jamie, but there are several times throughout the years I thought Days could have brought Sami's only friend back and pair her with Lucas.

I believe the RKK was a little more serious than that. His co-star at AW said he threw a chair at her and he was apparently quite aggressive in love scenes as well. After he was fired from Days, he made his thoughts about Kristian clear in interviews because the rumor was she and Rinna went to Corday to get him fired and Peter back. His romance with underage Miriam Parrish (who to be fair he was married to for over a decade) caused Alison Sweeney's mom to pull her from Days. That's why Sami ran away while pregnant with Will and was off screen. He then returned to AW and still had issues with his co stars. I don't recall anyone saying anything bad about his time at GH (although like @Vee I side eyed that hiring too) so perhaps he has changed or grown up. Anyway, even if he has changed I doubt he would be welcomed back at Days or to work with Kristian. Parrish remarried a while ago and RKK was working as a pilot. All that said, I really liked his Bo and Bo/Billie back then. I thought he did a really good job replacing Peter even though he had little chemistry with KA.

Putting aside everything about RKK as a liability and the fact I don't believe he still acts (I think GH had to seek him out), I just don't see where he fits. He/PR played the same Bo. There was no faux Bo like John/Roman, so unless we are over explaining the Bo situation he would have to play a different character. That's why I was curious where you'd think he fit. The show, IMO, would be much better served bringing someone like Peter back, but then you'd have to involve Jack/Jen and the show clearly has no investment in that. But they easily could add them in. As far as John/Steve, I have never understood why the show never made a clear heir apparent to Steve/Bo/John as a younger action hero. Eric/Brady/Shawn/Phillip/Max etc could have been groomed for that role years ago, but we ended up spending so much time on their romantic lives or the characters were dumped no one ever stood out as the next hero of the show. I have no idea why Brady didn't join the ISA years ago instead of running a fashion company for the last 20 years. Eric as a priest was good for a few plot points, but imagine him as a cop filling the role Rafe plays now. The opportunities for younger leads to step up to be heroes or heroines are there, but I think Days banks on their old popular standbys to lead stories (which is fine), but they have always had issues positioning characters to take Marlena/John/Steve/Kayla's place.

I didn't notice PR being that off during BS2 or when he made a brief appearance during the Devil story, but the material was goofy so it's possible it wasn't as glaring to me. Not that this material is high art or anything, but it requires a bit more from him. I assume it will all work itself out in time. How would you incorporate RKK into this? As some sort of FauxBo or as Harris? I like RKK's Bo, but I certainly wouldn't give him a second character after his behavior. Regardless, I doubt Kristian would agree to work with him. Kate is not a Katie lol. But this is Roman. He did coin the world's most obnoxious, non-sexy nickname for a romantic partner in "Doc", so I expect nothing less. I like the 80's adventure stories, but I agree John/Steve tend to look a little silly. I have no idea why Eric/Brady aren't integrated into this. Maybe they will be. It looks like Paul/Andrew and possible Belle/Shawn will. Listen, I buy John/Steve can save the day. I would trust John to find me in a kidnapping situation even now, but these men are near 70, look at least 60, and are always the only 2 guys that can solve a case. It's definitely getting to the point where everyone involved is too old for this stuff. It would make more sense for, say, Belle/Sami/Stephanie to be the ones kidnapped. That way multiple generations could be involved. But, as I have said before, this clearly was pitched as a John/Marlena story and evolved into a Kayla/Kate/Marlena/Steve/Roman/John story and we are about to bring Bo/Hope into it. I think several ideas were mashed up to make everything connect and I think the premise of it all it's very flimsy. Perhaps it was always supposed to be connected, but Days really took the long and convoluted way to get there.

I mean, I wouldn't kick him out of bed or anything 😂 He's just not my fave. I think Christopher Sean is so much hotter. Out of the Will (s), Sonny (s), Paul and Andrew group-Paul wins for me, but they are all good looking even the much-maligned Freddie Smith.

I think I get what he was trying to do with Bo, but it felt like he almost wasn't comfortable with the material or unsure how to play it. Hopefully it's rust and he will improve over time. I assume he hasn't forgotten how to play Bo Brady entirely lol. Ha! Ha! That's me! Teeth bother me a lot so I get it. I actually don't think Colton is super hot like some do, but he's objectively a very good looking man still.

Yes, he actually would be a psycho to do that lol. But...it's a little rash to call the whole romance off without giving it a try because of distance when it seems like Paul's situation might be a little more adaptable or fluid than Andrew's.

Charity Rahmer? 😂 Any other blonde that's 40 in Hollywood? My hate for MM's Belle and Belle in general knows no bounds, but I did like her today and with Brady the other day. I think the subtitle actually had the ........ too🤣 My brother is a football/sports trainer for a big University and he has a contract and does work with other athletes as a trainer in other sports, so if they explained it more in that vein it would make sense. It sounds like he's coaching the San Jose AAA Flyers in winter on this though.

IMO, Peter Reckell has always been decent/good. Not great, not going to win emmys, but a solid Days lead. He was just so off today. He must be rusty or trying something as a brain washed guy. But I don't remember brainwashed Bo from the 2000's being this awkward. @SoapsudsI literally thought the same thing about Paul/Andrew. Can't Paul go anywhere to coach? If he was specifically tied to a University perhaps, but it seemed like he was coaching a minor league team from the dialogue, which I think could have more flexibility. Belle/MM are bland, but it was a better bland performance than usual lol

Yeah, Colton looked fine to me and I watched after I read that comment so I was looking for any awkward angles or weird moles. To each their own though lol. Everyone has different tastes. The episode was good aside from Kayla/Marlena talking over credits. I even liked the Belle/Shawn stuff and I think I have complimented Belle twice this week which is more than I have since she was born 🤣 Anyway, did any else find Peter Reckell's acting weird/not good? I have always thought he was a decent actor and charismatic as hell, but his choices today were odd. I am sure he is brainwashed or something, but I found him distractingly bad today. And, well, Hope being selfish is actually par for the course so I am not shocked about that.

I don't mind him being a cop because of his parents, but I don't exactly think Belle or Shawn's careers make sense either. Perhaps Shawn could own a garage or do something with boats? I don't buy Belle as a good lawyer and I actually liked when she decided she was going to become a nurse. And then never mentioned it again and got written off...

I mean he married Belle who sucks in general and also cheats on him once every few years, so I feel like he deserves whatever monetary support he gets from Belle. At least he has a job. In the mid 2000's he actually had a story about having no life direction or job (nor did Belle) and he worked at Max's garage or something and I think he actual did do a stint at Titan or attempted to. Not as CEO, of course, but I don't think anyone has ever considered Shawn-D smart.

Belle, Brady, and EJ really screw things up. Shawn-D is fairly okay as far as age. He was only SORASed a little bit. I think maybe a year? It's when the show doesn't follow the same group of characters with the same SORASing that it becomes wacky. IMO everyone born from 85-90 should be in the same age group, 90-95, 95-00, and so on. But when you have Abby being younger than Brady even though they were born months apart and Belle being so much older than Paul and Will being born before EJ things get really out of control as far as continuity in aging. Days seems to be the worst at this. GH does get a side eye for the fact Joss thought she got Jake's liver and was a baby when Jake died is a little sketchy though as well.
