Dev should have done anything other than what he did after the show wasted so much time on him. I honestly thought Mark Lawson and Josh Kelly were the same person for a long time and wondered why they brought ML back as Cody. I swear. When I first saw Cody I was like wasn't he Lulu's boyfriend already?

I agree with this. I think Alexis has moved on from that chaos, but I hate Sonny/Nina too so that's win/win for me.

I think the build up for Sonny/Alexis was quick, but it was there. I did like it was age appropriate and that was the first time we saw Sonny with someone near his age and he did seem to respect her intellect. I think Carly reappearing just made it a one night stand and they both agreed to drop it. Because Brenda was back not too long after I think it was to tie up that story and solidify Sonny/Carly for that return. I agree it's a shame it was never re-visited, but obviously Guza hated it and did want Kristina to die. I always though NLG and MB had chemistry as well. It felt like a more equal relationship in a lot of ways. It's fine I guess, but it feels so out of nowhere for Robert. They should pivot him back to Chief of Police.

I actually didn't hate Alexis/Sonny's hookup. It may have been out of character for Alexis, but it was good drama. Everything that happened after was bad, but in the moment I thought it was a decent story. My big issue with Diane is her hypocrisy over Sonny's lifestyle when she was fine with dating a mob flunkie for years and happily took Sonny and Jason's money. It's absolutely lovely to call them out, but not when you are on their payroll for years on end. If she hates Sonny and the mob so much she could find another job preferably in Siberia. Robert being a lawyer and the DA is bizarre.

Agreed 100%. She started outliving her usefulness about a decade ago for me. I will never forget.

She certainly doesn't have any of Carly's scrappiness or vulnerability. Joss has led a pretty great life, and I don't feel for any of her struggles like cheating on Cam because Dex was just too hot.

The amount of joy I would get from Brenda returning with a not dead AJ cannot be described accurately. The chaos it would cause would warm my heart for at least a year. I would at home on my couch. Laughing at how stupid Valentin is while Brenda is off having an affair with Sonny...because she realizes her boyfriend is so completely whipped

I think she'd have more chemistry with Easton than Roger, but this is a hypothetical situation. In my brain. Finn's more broody, but, honestly, I don't even know what RH's third characters characteristics are. He historically has more chemistry with leading ladies though. It would be good for a chuckle though.

Honestly, Drew is the only person on canvas at the moment I could even imagine Brenda with outside Sonny. It's not ideal for me, but I can't see her on the show just hanging around waiting for Sonny either. I wish there was a Johnny or something more her type, but VM could just happen to have fire chemistry with Michael Easton randomly too.

Hypothetically, I honestly just don't see Brenda going for that much older. I picture younger rather than older just because of her fake romances with Dante/Michael. Unless it was some sort of gain for her or way to piss Sonny off I don't see her going for a man like that.

I was throwing Drew out there because he is kind of the Jax good guy/white knight. Brenda might go for that. I would never pair Brenda with someone old like depressing ass Chase's dad. I'd give her Chase before the dad.

Fresh is not Finn or Austin to me at least. A slow burn to Sonny works for me. It has to be the endgame. I don't even need her in a romantic pairing, but I might try her with Drew in the meantime. He vaguely fits into her type as the bland Jax kinda guy. Like Liz/RH, it's not Vanessa/Brenda's job to prop Frank's faves.

I have a very limited knowledge of his work, but from what I have seen he doesn't fit the biggest, baddest Cassadine bill either. I wonder if James Franco wasn't the only reason the whole thing was scrapped and Guza or whoever just realized it was a miscast role. At least JPS had a background where you could conceive he could play this part. He doesn't at all, but you could see the idea.

Does anyone think Matt Borlenghi could have done better? Honest question because he feels miscast to me as well.

I mean, the BEST idea is that Willow dies. But I would take anything slightly clever and/or manipulative from her. ANYTHING that's not her being the most long suffering woman in the world.

I hate Nina and always will. She's not good enough with Mo to even attempt a twin. I would like her going full Annie of course. It's a good story. Brenda in that story would be awesome. Willow faking would have been awesome. Perfect catalysts for Nina to lose it, but we will be subjected to Nina the heroine forever because Vanessa "turned Frank down" lol.

You're back!!😍 It's a really hard call to say if I would want her back now. Of course I do, but I don't want her to be the heavy for Nina/Sonny. That's not worth my time. In the last return Brenda was very much a heroine who needed everyone to save her and if she did try to save herself it was a big disaster. I think she is complex, but I imagine her becoming more of a vixen under FV trying to steal Sonny from poor Nina.

Someone does have Holly's full 2009 return up on Youtube, so it's possible it's in there somewhere. I liked Tracy/Luke just fine, but I hated the narrative that Tracy allowed Luke to be himself. It falls along the same lines of Carly is the only one to understand Sonny. They are both just allowing them to be crappy people. It's like Guza and even FV think it's shameful for woman to want their spouses or significant others to be the best versions of themselves and not do bad things and treat people poorly lol. But, no, that old bore Laura just stifled Luke's ability to cheat, drink, steal, and lie.
