I guess I just don't see the need for Nina at all. I don't think Stafford alone tanked the character, the writing and changing backstory did her no favors. I don't find that CW has elevated the character to make her enjoyable. I find Watros's Nina to be weepy and annoying, but perhaps if she played a new character I would like her better. I do agree Watros has stabilized Nina, but why are we twisting so many failed characters around instead of cutting the losses? Obviously, this is more of a Howarth/Easton problem, but I would have dropped Nina years ago.

Agree to disagree. It seems like most people agree with you on MS's portrayal. I hate the character of Nina regardless of who plays her. I see a lot of praise for CW, but I find her more obnoxious and more lifeless than Stafford. I don't see how CW's Nina has more of a point than MS's. Nina is still useless and is now tied to her useless daughter. I know CW is a better actress, but I don't find her Nina likeable, rootable, or sympathetic. I am not a huge fan of MS or anything, but if we are ranking a horrible character on a scale of who bothered me the least in the role it would be MS's Nina.

I think Brady should have transitioned to be more like John years ago. Pair him with Chloe or Nicole for the long haul and have him be part of more of the adventure stories. Lord knows Steve, Roman, and John can't fight mastermind criminals forever. When Drake/John was the age EM/Brady is now he was firmly married to Marlena for years (on and off), had grown children, and grandchildren. I am not saying we should saddle Brady with grandkids, but he needs to get off the romance merry-go-round. I have never understood why they have concentrated so much on Brady/Eric's love lives and never had either of them more part of the action stories.

Agreed. They pushed the Brady/Kristen pairing for way too long and then paired Brady with some real random ladies (Eve, Melanie) as well. I like Chloe with both Phillip and Brady, but she's had some real odd pairings too (Quinn, Lucas, Daniel) and most writers had no real direction for her character. Sometimes she was evil, a prostitute, a cheater, baby stealer, etc and sometimes she was the heroine like she is now which I prefer. Unfortunately, I think Brady is a character that is pretty burnt out and could use a break though.

I truly feel like Chloe is the love of Brady's life, but, man, have there been a lot of women along the way lol. I liked him a lot with Nicole too.

While I know boarding school is expensive Chloe is managing to live at a 5 star hotel and Craig was rich enough to be scammed by Leo so I imagine there is money in the family. I don't get the impression Chloe is poor. But it is ridiculous.

The Parker living situation question was answered, but I don't think Stephanie's romantic past has ever been mentioned since she returned except for the offscreen jerk she dated in Seattle. She hasn't even talked about her rape which was a big part of her story and she was telling Alex about tragedies she suffered and it didn't come up lol. I think her past before the recast took over is vaguely erased.

Rolf was trying to make Stefan forget his love for Chloe not remember his love for Gabi because he already loves Gabi he just loves Chloe as well. Brady wanted Rolf to erase that part of his memory.

Lol! The other day Gabi was saying Li was like the worst and she hated him or whatever and he smiled back at her and then delivered his lines. That was not an appropriate response for a human being let alone someone trying to act.🤣 I have gotten used to Chandler's smirking because he can generally act otherwise and it seems like a weird tic he has. Remington Hoffman is just very wooden all the time. Perhaps he's just happy he's employed and that's why he smiling?

He's pretty bad, but the thing that bothers me is that he smiles at weirdly inappropriate times. Almost like Chandler's smirking (sorry), but worse 🤣

I am so glad I found out there are 3 bedrooms in that apartment. One huge mystery solved. Now if we can only find out how many rooms are at John/Marlena's. 🤣 Did Chanel just decide to make her move out permanent? I would think Wendy/Tripp would have asked her first. I think that would have been fun and soapy to have the quad of Wendy/Tripp/Johnny/Chanel thrown together all the time. Eric and Brady are legit the worst criminals in the world. All their plans are idiotic. Why couldn't Brady just wait out the Chloe/Stefan situation or fight for her instead of resorting to this plan?

I don't mind the main show tying back to Beyond Salem 2 since everyone has Peacock if they are watching Days now, but it's been so long since it first aired I forgot some things that happened already lol. I liked it fine, but I don't want to rewatch it. I wish they started this story much sooner because the momentum is totally gone. I am still interested in it, but I think it would have been much better to shift some stories around and do this one months ago.

I don't think Jamey is a good writer. I don't think he is a good fit for Days at all. I think it's easy for Ron and whoever else is running the show at Days to get caught up in Jamey's enthusiasm and knowledge of soaps though. He is clearly very passionate and I do think he is very well versed in the shows history, but I could say that about nearly every poster here. None of that correlates to being a strong writer. It's a shame because I actually did have higher hopes for Jamey/Days, but the episodes he writes are generally the worst.

I think it's pretty flimsy that Megan would care about these three women honestly. She has a little history with John/Steve, but that's all new from Beyond Salem. IIRC Marlena was actually pretty nice to Megan back in the day. When Tony, John, and Steve were going through the list of Dimeras (and actually took the time to rule out Johnny 🤣) they said Peter had no motive. Peter has way more of a motive than Megan lol even if it was just a misguided attempt to help Kristen. Stop teasing me with Peter mentions Ron! Bring him back. I agree with everyone about Heaven being a waste of airtime. It was just a weird showcase for Blake Berris and a reason to bring Chrishell Stuase back. Whatever. I am glad it's over and we can move on to the better part of the story.

Yeah, they are obviously two different shows, but as a GH fan I was never put off by Days silliness and I don't think it's jarring to watch both shows. If anything it's much easier to watch Days because the characters are mostly the same and have been for decades lol. GH has been great, but there are so many characters and so many of them are brand new with wacky backstories so I sometimes get confused if I miss episodes. Anyway, I do understand everyone's frustration with Days on here and most make valid points, but I just don't personally find it much worse than it has been for the last 20 years or so. It has a lot of issues, but I don't find it boring and there have been plenty of regimes and writers that have made Days boring which I think is worse than ridiculous and improbable. I don't think Ron is particularly good, but as I have said before I do think he has some good ideas. The execution just fails more often than not. I really think if Days could figure out how to edit/pace stories correctly it would seem so much better. It feels like a shoestring budget show while GH still feels like a real production with money.

I found the devil stuff way worse. Agree about Craig/Leo too. The dead/not dead stuff isn't overtly offensive like that story was. It's just dumb. And lol! I low key forgot Ron wrote the cryo crypt stuff with Lulu and the stuff with her embryos, but GH let him! He also wrote the Lucy the vampire slayer stuff. GH takes itself much more seriously and is much more grounded in reality, but some wacky things have happened in PC too. There was an alien once lol.

GH is probably my #1 show, or at least was, and I don't hate the cryo pod story. It's not good, but Lulu and Stavros were held in cryo pods on GH so not much difference there lol. There is obviously an overall tone difference but characters on GH have been in some very crazy situations as well.

The show is bad, but I don't think it's worse than it usually is lol. It's just sort of the same. Nothing really makes sense, sometimes there are good shows, and sometimes there are really bad ones. The notdead flower saga isn't good, but there have been much crappier stories in the last few years. The pacing bothers me more than the actual stories. Idk, maybe I am just used to mediocrity, but I don't think the show is the worst it's ever been by any means. The show is full of missed beats and offscreen happenings and it is weird (like @j swift mentioned) they don't talk about EJ/Nicole's long history or a lot of history in general.

I remember him being reassigned to Alaska initially too lol. Claire Walsh got assigned there too after helping Sonny with some case as well lol. He could have ended up in Portland eventually though. Did anyone ever mention what happened to Taggert's partner Garcia?

I personally don't like Kate at all. I used to like her a lot and I do think Lauren is amazing, but she is a character that outlived her usefulness years ago. Her place on the show now is okay, but there was at least a decade and a half where she was the town welcome wagon for new men on the show and it got tedious. The depth of the Kate character was generally lost once DA vacated the role and she became more of a joke. I am neither here nor there on Maggie. Suzanne seems like a lovely woman and she's done her time on the show, but if she disappeared I wouldn't miss her. Anna/LH is just a character and actress I want to see more of. It was very sweet of her to visit Roman today as none of his numerous family or friends seem to care about him. Side eyeing Abe and Eric here lol.

I actually think Leann Hunley and Josh Taylor have a nice rapport and chemistry. Not exactly romantic, but I buy they were once married and have a long history in a way I never do when JT interacts with Deidre Hall. I honestly would rather see Anna a lot more than Kate or Maggie, but that's probably not the most popular sentiment.

I know she was mentioned when KL first started playing Rex years ago, but it was very vague. I think he said she was single and in Chicago or something. It would be a good time to bring her back, but she is someone who is related to everyone too. On another note, it would be a great time to bring Phillip back as well with JA/Victor's death. I know they mention him from time to time, but it really is a prime oppurtunity to bring him back. Chloe doesn't need another suitor nor does Stephanie, but maybe he could mix it up with Sarah, Jada, Sloan, or Belle.

I don't really mind Doug as the Devil, but it is so obvious it should be Stefano right down to the Devil's actual obsession with Marlena. Clearly that's not possible to do, but Doug playing the Devil makes me think how much more sense/better it would be if Stefano was playing it. I think an extra might have been better. I love Blake Berris playing evilNick! He's so fun and while it's stupid he was chosen to play this, I am thoroughly enjoying him and his delivery. Anna makes everything better. I literally enjoyed Roman/Anna today and I have to assume it's 99% because of Leann Hunley. Steve referring to Marlena as the mother of Roman's twins is of course true, but so is Kate lol. Unless Cassie doesn't exist anymore lol.

They have definitely specified Johannesburg for South Africa multiple times. And for Switzerland they have said Geneva and Lugano as well. Not all the time or for everyone, but they have mentioned those locations especially for John/Marlena

Honestly, Tripp playing video games at home was the most responsible reaction of any of the kids that lost their parents although we have no idea how Belle took it since she disappeared lol. The Kayla/Steve dream/vision/visit seemed like such a John/Marlena thing to happen. I am surprised John was skeptical when Steve told him after all the ridiculous things that have happened to them. Allie leaving is really random. She's not just an employee at sweet bits she's a partner, correct? She's just going to leave Chanel high and dry on that end? Not that I think Allie does much for the business, but that's messed up lol. All of this is so rushed, but I guess it's a happy ending-ish. I guess Nicole can move back into her apartment now. Or Wendy can get a bedroom if Chanel keeps it. As far as the devil, it's all so silly. If it moved quicker I may tolerate it, but we see this once a week. Get on with it please.
