It's weird that the photo didn't include anyone under 35 lol. I guess Chase probably is, but he acts like he's 40.

Lol! If the show wasn't hammering home the fact that Roman/Kate are soulmates and wasted so much time apart I would not have ruled it out. Probably wouldn't be her worst pairing 😂

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
I will say John/Paul is probably my favorite relationship of all John's children, but I honestly love Paul with pretty much everyone. Drake is really good at parent/grandparent scenes-he's very natural with them. I want Andrew/Paul back together too, but I like that it wasn't anything dramatic about them not getting together/breaking up. I also like that Kate, Kayla, and Marlena were actively trying to save themselves and figuring things out. Well, Marlena mostly stood there marveling at Kayla's ability to pick a lock even though we have seen Marlena herself pick locks several times, but I digress..I enjoyed them actively working towards an escape. I also enjoyed Roman/Lucas. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I have been enjoying Roman lately in most scenes.

Today absolutely felt like a Beyond Salem episode. The structure of the episode was very good as were all the scenes and people that were interacting. I was not expecting that cliffhanger. Always happy to see Paul and Andrew. I get why Kayla/Marlena immediately think Stefano is the one Megan is keeping, but how old is Stefano supposed to be? He'd be in his 90's now at least.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
I actually thought his initial arc with Sonny that ended with Diana being revealed as his mother and John possibly being his father showed some growth for him. When Leo left he was a bit sympathetic revealing his troubled upbringing and his desire for John to actually be his father. Beyond Salem moved that development forward decently. Leo actually was poised to make a decent comeback, but I agree 100% the Craig stuff really regressed him. I also agree about the self-satisfaction of his dialogue. Leo is not someone who unwittingly gets in his own way trying to be a good guy. He makes poor decisions consistently for purely selfish gains and gets upset when the people he hurts take issue with it. I don't know what we are supposed to take away from Leo's character. He's not the wacky sidekick or comic relief, he's not a villian you love to hate, he's not an anti-hero, and he's not rootable. He's just around constantly not bringing any value to the show.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
If Ron insists on keeping Leo (which seems to be the case) they need to make him a real character. He is just a walking stereotype that cracks cringey jokes at this point. It wouldn't be so bad if Leo's only purpose was to make snarky one liners and was strictly a sidekick that popped up every now and again, but Leo is practically a main character. He has no depth, he's not interesting, he's made no personal growth in the 3 or 4 years he's been on the show, and he doesn't seem to be popular with the audience. I imagine Ron wants Leo to be somewhat similar to David Vickers with the harebrained schemes and witty humor, but it's not landing. GR is fairly talented so I think he's capable of making Leo seem like a real life human being and not a character out of a bad sitcom. At this point I would have rather seen Paul and Andrew talk about the weather or read a phonebook on their plane ride home to Salem for an entire episode than see Alex/Leo have an entire episode dedicated to Ron's personal homoerotic fantasy.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
I want to say other characters (possibly Gabi?) have referred to it by that name because I have heard it before and wasn't sure if the characters were saying it was a small bar or if that was the actual name of the establishment. Lol! Someone backstage really couldn't think of anything more clever for a bar name? It seems their specialty is cheap tequila shots because that's pretty much the only thing I have seen people drink there.
-
Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Gwen referred to the bar as the Small Bar in today's episode so that's the official name. Creative. I liked the Brady/Belle scenes. They should interact more. They have a very natural sibling chemistry. I have no idea why Gwen felt bad about sleeping with Alex for even a second. Aside from the fact it's, well, Alex. She doesn't owe Zander anything at all. The character of Stefan is so odd and ill defined. He needs to get the ultimate revenge on EJ, but is fine with Eric/Brady having him brainwashed with kitchen utensils? It's not like Sloan or Belle made any convincing arguments or anything-he just dropped the charges.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
I just don't understand why they are making EJ dumb. He's not dumb. Nicole's not dumb. Why did they continue the dinner for hours when it was clear that something was off? The last several years have made me feel dumber, but sometimes it's silly and laughable dumb. This was like a weird teenage game these two 45 years were doing and I am supposed to think they run a billion dollar company lol.

Chemistry Machines
I'll get the obvious answer out of the way and say Brenda/Vanessa on GH. She had chemistry with everyone except Ricky Martin. I even thought her and Dante had chemistry. I think Jason, Liz, and Robin, and Lucy are all characters/actors who had chemistry with multiple partners as well. On Days, I would say John and Sami are the best examples for me. John/RoJohn had chemistry with almost all his leading ladies and it gets forgotten because he's been with Marlena for so long. AS/Sami has had multiple pairings that were popular. I have never really liked her with anyone but Lucas, but she's made a lot of pairings work.
-
Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
So are they just throwing RSW at anyone and hope one of these pairings works out? He's been with 5 different women since he debuted. His love for Stephanie clearly knows no bounds.😂 Maggie making Zander part of Titan is idiotic. Alex might not be wrong about her being in charge. How many clauses are in Li's agreement with Gabi? He said not sleeping with someone else was clause 2.6. What the heck? That sounds like a very wordy contract. Plus, It's so exciting to watch them have the same conversation over and over again as well. I have nothing to say about the Stefan/EJ nonsense. I honestly couldn't keep up with all the glasses switching today. I still don't understand why those two just don't make their own drinks and keep them in their hands or just not drink at all. I personally feel like I am dumber now after watching that entire sequence of events today. Tripp/Wendy/Johnny was pretty good. I can understand why Johnny didn't think stealing Tripp's badge was a big deal, but it was very serious to Tripp. Tripp showed restraint by not telling Li to shove it after he asked Tripp to take the couch to save money. Why are all the doctors on this show poor or assumed to be poor lol? I am sure Tripp can easily afford 1 room in a 3 bedroom apartment on his salary.

Charachters/Actors That Never Had A Good Romantic Lead
You are probably correct. Days more than any other show loves a wedding, interrupted or not lol. Sami just takes after her mother who loves a good old fashioned wedding to the same man dozens of times lol.

General Hospital: March 2023 Discussion Thread
It is a little confusing to have the Nurse's Ball just celebrate the hospital. It's historically been a fundraiser for AIDS research so now it's just a variety show to celebrate an establishment being around for a long time lol? I wish they would tie it to a cause as well because that's the actual point of the Nurses Ball. @j swiftI agree with you re: Dex and Michael's plan. It would make way more sense to ruin Sonny financially instead of tip toeing around the legalities of Sonny's shipments. We don't know why they are illegal so why not just make it something much easier to explain. I don't mind a large cast in theory. It does bring a large community feel, but when at least 60% of the cast bring nothing to the table I find it a waste of time to have that many people onscreen. I'd rather see more of Laura than hear about Austin's cousin or Gladys's gambling debt or Cody's horses.

General Hospital: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Yes, Joss and Dex have physical chemistry and I think you or @Vee said Eden McCoy used to look like she could barely tolerate love scenes with WL's Cam, so that's a change lol. It felt like the initial Joss/Dex story was heading down a Sonny/Brenda path, but it lost most of its momentum quickly probably because Dex/Joss have about 1/10th of the charisma as early Mo/Vanessa, but who does? I don't even care Sonny spends his time following Nina around and think it's funny, but why are we watching Sonny wander around the Metro Court bar so much? He has entire scenes where he's listening to Nina and his only line is "I'll excuse you two" when Nina has someone to talk to. 🤣 I am sure one of the 1000 members of the cast could fill that time and space better. I like Sasha. I think I am one of the only people that has ever liked Sasha, but she's outlived any usefulness. She's boring and her grief is boring and her romance potential is boring. I am not going to lie, I wish that whole Corbin side of the family left when Mike died.

Charachters/Actors That Never Had A Good Romantic Lead
I took into consideration the fact Brady does have two pairings that are pretty popular (Chloe, Nicole), but both characters have more memorable pairings with others (Phillip, Eric) plus the show has pushed Brady/Kristen as soulmates for awhile as well. Overall, Brady has had more forgettable romances than good ones. Same with Rafe. Sami and Rafe were pretty good, but no one considers that Sami's best pairing. As far as Kate, I always considered her and Victor as her main pairing, but that's been over for so long. I think Kate/John were good as well, but that pairing has been almost scrubbed from existence lol.

General Hospital: March 2023 Discussion Thread
I still think Joss and Dex have some chemistry they just have dropped the ball with this story. And the actor that plays Dex (too lazy to look up his name) looks way too much like Michael for my liking. I have to agree Sonny has no reason to like this kid besides the fact he likes cooking lol. He lacks the charisma of Dante/Dominic or the IDGAF brain damage Jason had. On the other hand, Sonny spends 95% of his time wandering around the Metro Court following Nina so I have no idea what he does in a day. Sasha's grief is probably in a realistic timeline for someone who had such huge losses, but it is so boring. And clearly the actress is very pregnant so I am not sure why we are wasting time with this Sasha/Cody pairing when she is going to be offscreen shortly.

Well at least next week looks good. Last week was pretty bad. I am not going to lie, I hate this EJ/Stefan story even more than Leo/Gwen/Zander/Sarah. While I like Nicole and EJ this drugging plot is absolutely ridiculous and feels like such a waste of time.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Yeah, Maggie is definitely coming off as a villian. I take back what I said yesterday lol. Alex is so annoying that I find it funny, but even if Maggie has good ideas and intentions, she only got the job because she is Victor's wife. Neither have a great leg to stand on here with their amazing experience. Both of them should slow their roll on this and Victor should just really hire an outside CEO. I appreciate it gives Maggie something concrete to do especially considering JA's passing. Weepy Gwen is the worst type of Gwen. If she has to be on my screen I wish she was scheming not crying. The Stefan/EJ drugging and switching drinks story is lame. Just make your own damn drinks or don't drink instead of this tomfoolery. It's so stupid and I don't even really get the point because I don't give a crap about Dimera. I like Tripp/Johnny having a rivalry and I like Wendy/Johnny as sleuths, but I am ready for this quad with Chanel to get messier.

Charachters/Actors That Never Had A Good Romantic Lead
This is an interesting topic. I think there are a lot of characters that never have a good romantic lead either because they get so many love interests that it's hard to believe they have a soulmate or they just don't spark with anyone. Some of the biggest ones for me are- Brady on Days-I think Chloe is the closest to his soulmate, but EM's Brady has had a ton of failed/forgotten pairings Rafe on Days-Besides Sami is anyone Rafe dated memorable? Kate on Days-She has probably had more pairings than anyone on Days in the last 30 years and none really stick out. Skye on GH/OLTL/AMC-they really gave her all the pairings and most of her romantic interests were very different and she had no rhyme or reason for liking them. Skye had no discernible type which made her own personality quite muddled. Michael on GH-I don't know if I have ever seen a young male lead on a soap strikeout with so many love interests.

You mean you didn't find Rafe/Jada's playful banter about whether or not eating at the Pub was a date super adorable and compelling lol? Nicole/Eric breaking up, Eric making poor choices, and Jada questioning Eric's parenting ability/sobriety clearly would have been less interesting 🤣 I am no Maggie fan, but she has shown adeptness at running businesses before even though they were restaurants. Alex seems to just sexually harass his employees and we are just told he's good at business. I don't feel any sympathy for him, but I suppose the audience might. But, like you said, Chad spilling intimate details about Stephanie/Alex's breakup doesn't bode well for Alex being the heavy in anything.

As the biggest VM stalker fan 🤣 on this board, I can pretty safely say Brenda will not be back for the 60th. I haven't seen anything that indicates she will be back anytime soon. Probably one day though. Agree with you about Brenda/Sonny though even if I find Sonny unlikeable and exhausting 99.9% of the time.

Days: March 2023 Discussion Thread
Yes, the spectator has the usual conference room/office set with two partitions. Peacock $$$🤣 I still can't believe how badly the show dropped the ball with Jada's pregnancy. I remember you and I were convinced she was still pregnant and lied about the abortion, but apparently we have more creative minds than Ron. The conversation between Rafe/Jada was so awkward. Why is Rafe so weird? He's a man who's been married multiple times why is he acting like a teenager? I don't necessarily think Maggie is supposed to be the villian. It seems like her plans for the company are well thought out. But if that is the intent it won't work for me either. I am not going to ever be sad Alex the nepobaby doesn't get to run the entire company. It's weird Chanel can't hire a single employee lol. I would assume the business would be separate from her personal assets, but what do I know?

BRAVO: Vanderpump Rules
Yeah, I would just skip season 8 with all the new people that didn't work. I honestly don't think last season was that great either lol. Maybe just start with this season and look for Raquel/Sandoval nuggets of shadiness.
