The Chad Dimera Award for Most Unlikely Leading Character
I swear I always thought Mia was going to turn out to be Nicole's daughter. I am not exactly sure why I did, but I thought that was where the story was going instead of the Melanie angle for Nicole.

Carly is much more likeable and it pains me to say this. I actively root for Sonny when Joss is nasty to him. Today I was hoping Sonny would make Dex his new Jason just to stick to her lol. Why does Diane hate Nina so much? I mean, same, but why? Again, Diane being so smug makes me actively root for Nina and I don't want to do that. Can Willow's transfusion or transplant just happen and be done? I feel like I have been watching this story for 2 years now and it's never been interesting and I have never cared.

Honestly, I have no idea. I just assumed he was limited or not into doing anything close to full time and that's why we see him so infrequently. It really wouldn't be that bad if he moved around the canvas more.

Doesn't Brady legitimately have full custody? He went to court and everything. Can't he put a restraining order out on Kristen? Can't Marlena? lol

Tony/Anna's scenes were just a waste of time today. I get CS is only available every now and then and you don't have time to invest in Paul, but if he's already on set just have him interact with other people in Salem. I love John/Paul it just so weird it's always only the two of them together when Paul and John could have been in scenes with Marlena/Brady yesterday and Eric today instead of the Brady/Marlena/Eric stuff dragging on. It was half an episode talking about a dinner and Brady's lack of date. I believe the rumor is

I don't think I have ever found someone that liked these Dimera Enterprise stories. They aren't exciting and I don't care who's in charge at all. I don't really get the Anna/Tony scenes today either. I like them and all, but why was so much time on Anna's ridiculous lie of being pregnant? Anna is a lot of things, but she isn't stupid. She could have just said Carrie thinks she might be pregnant or something. I also don't get why John and Paul exist on such an island together. It would have made more sense for Paul to come to Salem and share scenes with more than just Drake. I get CS has limited availability, but he literally only interacts with John and on rare occasions Andrew.

I agree. Holiday Mia Kriegel (what a name!) was not very good at all. I'll cut her some slack because she probably was a very quick replacement, but if I were GH I would cast a wider net for Molly. She also looks like she has a lot of filler (which I know Pullos did too) and I wonder why these young, pretty girls do that when it looks so unnatural. But that's beside the point. Maybe she will get better and it's hard to compare her to a soap vet like Mansi.

I am liking Mansi as Kristina. I don't think she's better than Lexi yet, but she fit in really well the last few days. The new Molly-I wasn't impressed. I'll give her time though. I didn't think she was very good today. Carly talking about jail today like it was a real option for her was pretty funny. Where is the Carly we know and love ? She would not be casually talking about jail time like this. She'd be freaking out. Even Sonny was confused by this. So that's it? Portia and Curtis are back together after not talking through anything. It just took a couple of months, a makeout with Jordan, and a 5 min convo. So exciting.

GH: Classic Thread
I always noticed Billy Warlock's height and the show did make it obvious that AJ was short. While I didn't even realize Sonny was short until Jax showed up because Mo's height was always hidden by shorter love interests. I would also agree with the comment that BW's AJ didn't have much chemistry with his family or love interests although I did like him and Skye as schemers. Idk, it's so how to grade BW's AJ because his writing was just so truly awful and I can't think of a good story where his AJ came off in a positive light.

I didn't like BW as AJ, but I think he did a good job with the material he was given. He never felt like AJ to me. I always thought SK was pretty good in the part. He's my AJ, but that probably also correlates to the fact he was my first AJ. I do see the argument that SK's AJ wasn't very sympathetic though. I do think he nailed the overall character of AJ.

Was any reason given as to why Night Shift wasn't renewed? Was it just too expensive for Soapnet? I haven't watched since it aired, but weren't there some cliffhangers that weren't resolved? Did Jagger even leave town or is he just hanging out in the non-filmed side of Port Charles now?

Lol! I thought Lord Sebastian was related to Dmitri somehow too. Like a cousin? But I think I might be confusing the Alamains and Von Leuschers because of Carly or something. Oh well, it doesn't matter. Both families fall into the obscure early 90's rich aristocratic families that make no sense.

I am catching up and was that supposed to be a romantic proposal from Sonny? I know he's done this a lot, but that was bad. If Brenda doesn't come crashing this wedding for some reason or another I will be sorely disappointed. Don't respond. I know I will be already. Dex/Spencer were truly the highlights of yesterday. I really don't know why we are supposed to believe Chase can sing. It was cute, but he's not a very good singer at all lol.

The Chad Dimera Award for Most Unlikely Leading Character
I don't doubt your theory that Banus/Gabi might have been a Dena Higley thing, but I feel like the show was bleeding out so many young leads at the time she just survived because she was willing to stay at the right time and it also helped the show has always tried to make Rafe a lead. Idk, that time period just seemed to have a revolving door of similar young leading ladies and Gabi did have a slightly different backstory and had Sami's first grandchild which did carry weight in the Ali Sweeney leading lady years. I think it was a combination of several minor things that made Gabi a bigger deal.

He was in the first Beyond Salem and is related to Dimitri on the Von Leuschner side. Lord Sebastian helped save the day toward the end of the first series. Marlena did exposit about it a bit in her scenes today before the actor appeared.

lol! I know you are joking, but even if that happened I think Sam would be highly disappointed in what Roman's become. She'd be like...never mind hard pass. I have discussed this in the Classic Days thread, but Sam and Marlena really don't look identical and Don is an idiot.

Maybe lol? Samantha didn't even know Roman, so I don't think even she would be excited to see Mumbles Brady. I was just curious why Deidre played it with such exuberant joy. That was literally more happiness to see Roman than she's exhibited in the last 25 years of Josh playing Roman. Unless Wayne is hiding under a Josh Taylor mask it was weird.

Would you consider him a lead though? Even with all the Maxie stuff I consider him more supporting.

Sonny Corinthos. He was a 6 month baddie and here we are.
