Yes, at the time they were chemistry testing Vanessa with half the male cast lol. I don't remember MB being tested with any other woman. I mostly remember him interacting with other men. I can't recall a Riche/Labine quote specifically about MB around that subject, but they must have seen something as they moved him into different parts of the canvas, but I think the idea was to keep him in the Luke/Damian/Frank Smith story. IIRC MB didn't have that much screen time post-Karen. It didn't rev up until the prison break and Brenda stuff, but it's hard for me to remember how long that was in real time because I mostly watch edits and it moves quick.

I think the logical assumption is when he and Brenda start dating, but I think it's before that. The show was definitely building something with him and Luke and making Sonny's relationship with Stone more defined and more protective. I think the Brenda stuff was more of a happy accident than a plan and the show was trying to give Sonny non-romantic ties to build his character which is actually refreshing. I would have to rewatch because 99% of my Sonny viewing starts with the Brenda relationship. When Labine talks about tweaking things I always thought it was in reference to Karen being under Sonny's thumb and giving her a voice back, but perhaps she saw something with Sonny as well. It is a very quick turnaround for Sonny because that strip club was shut down off screen and they don't really go into detail as to why. I think Sean says it was because of underage dancers, but it wasn't brought up very often afterwards. I think it also helped that Karen/Jagger left very shortly after this went down and "made up", if you will, around Stone's illness. We didn't have Karen around to remind us Sonny was a creeper and they did mention Brenda's age, but she also moved into adult stories and had adult friends so it didn't feel as creepy. If she was hanging out with Robin/Stone at the mall it would have been more jarring, but she was starting businesses with Lois instead.

It is weird to watch early Sonny because it's clear he's not long for the show. He has like no redeeming qualities. I always wonder when the show decides to 'keep' MB/Sonny. I assume around the time he starts interacting with Brenda, but he and Luke were forming a friendship as well. All of a sudden Karen is off drugs and that strip club is shut down quick and made into a legit club with Luke. A lot of Sonny's predatory behavior is shrugged off to make his romance with Brenda viable although I remember him saying that he did regret messing around with younger woman when Brenda came back, but that was quickly brushed aside because he was talking to Brenda and she absolved him.

At least Harris has the decency to feel bad about his crimes. Ciara/Ben would have rolled their eyes and called you judgey for even writing that sentence lol.

I feel like Sami would be told by someone because she'd bully her way into the truth regardless. Although John seems very haphazard about how he told everyone so I would secretly giggle if he just "forgot" to tell Sami lol. I am sure John told Will because Will actually is a decent human being.

Agree about Ben/Ciara. l don't have kids but two toddlers on a boat sounds like the worst thing ever lol. I feel like something is missing with Chad/Stephanie. I think both actors are decent, but this pairing isn't where it's at. Billy Flynn has a tendency to be checked out of things a lot. He's been better in recent years, but I think it's very clear when he's excited about a scene or a story and I don't think he's excited about this. He does seem to adore Marci Miller though, so maybe that's the problem. I don't think AK is bad either, but she needs something besides what she's been given. I see something there with her, but it just hasn't been utilized yet. Stephanie has thus far been a very standard heroine. Good point about the lab and Kayla. No idea. That would make the most sense for Bo to get his cure, but maybe Bo just recently learned about the lab? It's hard to make sense of Days logic almost always though.

I think there are a few ways to keep them offscreen and health/family issues seem the easiest. I think this is just a way to keep Bo/Hope out there in the world and they can appear when they want to. Traveling is pretty consistent with Bo/Hope's MO. They can get another Fancy Face (7? 8?) and sail around the world. It is in character. Technically Hope has a house in Salem. Belle/Shawn live in it, but it belongs to Hope.

I don't read spoilers that often so I could be way off base, but I would assume Bo needs therapy or has some health related issue that keeps them off the canvas.

Talia definitely immediately had charisma and so did both Chanels. I think AK is a good recast of Stephanie, but at the same time Stephanie isn't the most interesting character either and she doesn't elevate the material. Stephanie and Chad don't really have any obstacles or tension and I don't think bringing Alex back into the mix will help. Considering JT has played Roman for over 25 years and I still imagine Wayne in the role is not a good reflection of JT's portrayal. There is an underlying history that just doesn't get played properly in certain relationships. I don't mind him in most scenes, but scenes with Jarlena and his siblings, I miss Wayne a lot. I think JT does fine with his onscreen kids and Kate. I just feel like Chad/Stephanie are just there. They aren't awful, but there isn't anything I can say about their relationship that makes them unique or interesting. It's just two decent, attractive actors playing a very ordinary love story.

I liked today's episode. Overall very good. I loved that cliffhanger even if I don't love the story. @SoapsudsI often imagine Wayne playing some of these Roman scenes (especially the ones with John/Marlena like today) and think of how much better it would be with him. I don't think John/Roman/Marlena should still be fighting after 30 years, but there should still be some tension there after everything they have been through. Also, did John just not tell Carrie Marlena was alive? Rude.... I like SBu as Harris a lot more than I should. I think he is doing good work. Although letting Hope walk into a potentially dangerous situation blind was a little weird. There is just something missing with Chad/Stephanie. I can't put my finger on it, but I don't really like them as a couple. I did in the beginning, but they are kinda boring right now.

Thanks for this! I have never seen this interview. I am sure Sonny shared scenes with Dr. Hardy during the Stone story, but I legit don't remember Brenda ever having a scene with him (although she probably did). It was also awkward for Charlie Gibson to tell MB that "heavies (like Sonny) don't last long on shows"....MB really went out of his way to prove him wrong lol. Overall, this interview was a little weird from MB standing strangely in the background, Vanessa Marcil looking completely bored, and Charlie Gibson having no idea what he was talking about. Also, is this only one month before Bernardino passes away? He seems in decent health here.

I feel like it would be perfect for Mike. He feels like the character most like Tom to me. Unfortunately, he's dating Nancy, but if the show had any brains they would recast and establish Mike had remarried and had teenage or young adult children.

I am neutral on Doug/Julie living at the Horton house. Your point is valid and I don't see Julie wanting to live out her life at that home, but at the same time who else should live there? It was probably best suited for Mickey/Maggie because they always led a more humble lifestyle, but Doug/Julie are really the only characters that make sense now to live there since most of the other Hortons are dead or live out of town. And I would say Julie is a far cry from the glam girl she once was. Her character has changed a lot and not for the better. She's all old-fashioned views and sensible shoes these days.

I don't think Nicole wanted any money from Rafe. I do think she could have gotten her old apartment back before Wendy, Shin, and Tripp took over. I remember not liking Tripp at all in the beginning, but I got over it and like him now. Twitter just has some weird fans that just hate anyone who got in the way of Cin.

I agree. The stakes are relatively low here for EJ/Nicole. They aren't in a serious relationship and she could have just told him. There were mitigating circumstances and EJ would have been mad, but Nicole is just digger herself deeper into a hole especially with Sloan being aware it happened. At this point neither Eric/Nicole intend to rekindle their relationship, so I don't get her lying at all. After all the times Nicole has cheated in the last year or so you would think she would learn her lesson. I am actually annoyed at her for taking this route of secrecy again. And let's be honest, EJ/Nicole have always been toxic and they have both done much worse to one another. This feels like a minor blip for them

Tripp had a pretty rough entrance and first few years. I think most people still remember that. He was awful to Kayla and he had that romance with Claire that I don't think was well received. Plus, he planted evidence on Ben when he was dating Ciara because he was jealous and you know how much twitter loves their Cin. Tripp has had a good character turn around, but he was definitely not great his first run.

I remember hearing Deidre used to do Jane's hair and DH's hair looks almost grey these days, so maybe they both gave up on it lol. I think if she just pulled it back into a bun it would look more sleek. Wasn't she supposed to be in disguise when we saw her? I don't think we've seen the daily Tracy look yet.

I actually don't mind JE's hair either. It's pretty current and on trend to embrace your natural hair and it looks pretty good. Does it reconcile with how I picture Tracy styling herself? Not really, but Lila wore her white hair so I could see her possibly embracing that. Also, just on a personal level for Jane if she dyed it for the show it would take forever to grow out naturally again and it's probably not worth it to her.

I thought today's episode was okay. I liked Li/Gabi like @AbcNbc247 mentioned. I am trying to figure out the logic of Nicole lying to EJ. Sloan knows. I doubt she's going to keep Nicole's secret and it's not like EJ/Nicole are married or that super serious plus she was actually drugged. He might be mad for awhile, but this is all going to blow up in Nicole's face. I do actually wonder if she might end up pregnant, but Idk, Nicole is past her child bearing years on top of her fertility issues. I like Stefan/Trask together. They are a funny duo. I enjoy their scenes and banter. Why does Chanel not have her cameras on at all times? That's the whole point of security cameras. It's not even logical to turn them on and off.

I think both Ned/Olivia have a little more to give than just being talk to's but I don't hate them in the role right now. I also don't mind them being endgame (although I will always hold out for Lois/Ned), but they could use some messy Monica/Alan like drama. I just see them doing more than being stable for the rest of their time on the show. Both characters are more interesting than that.

It's pretty depressing and unnecessary, but so is GH. I would ditch the dad and put NLG in a quad with Ned/Olivia/Robert. I personally like Ned/Alexis, so I would just use her there. I know WK isn't always available, but it's not like Days uses Justin that much (although the usage may ramp up with Victor's death).

I do feel like Harris will do the right thing. The problem with flashbacks on soaps is that I am never sure if the person is pausing for the actual time the flashback takes or if they are thinking about it while the person is talking to them. Unless you show a little bubbles and cloud above Steve Burton while Hope's talking I tend to think both things are happening concurrently even if we see them separately. lol. JER literally had characters flashback to entire 3 min scenes back in the day and I doubt when Marlena asked Kristen a question Marlena was just left waiting for Kristen to answer for that long. As far as Hope the cop. She's pretty much always been incompetent so I expect nothing less.

I will allow Robert Scorpio because he doesn't feel elderly to me. As far as Sonny, MB's stutters don't bother me that badly, but I don't know how he can't articulate lines he's recited approximately a million times since he's joined GH. I was also going to say does Trapper, MD make him a star still? Sorry Gregory Harrison..... I would prefer Olivia first and an eventual reunion with Anna/Holly for Robert, but I could see Alexis/Robert working. She's a real character unlike Diane who I considered a recurring gimmick. The problem with Chase's dad is his stories go on forever with no real development (his romance with Alexis, his illness) or just disappear (what ever happened to Kim Delany and all that?). He's just a very dead end character at this point.

Sort of. Kristina actually accused Ethan of beating her up before she came clean about Kiefer and Sonny thought about killing him until Luke talked him out of it lol. I can't remember if Ethan knew Kiefer was hitting her or suspected, but I think Ethan was trying to help her. Anyway, they got over that whole false accusation of physical violence and became friends.

I just don't see what Robert would like about Diane. I guess they do have some things in common, but as others have said it seems like the only thing they have in common is that she's in his age range lol. Might as well pair him with Alexis. Actually, that might not be so bad. Diane can have Chase's dad.
