  1. The sister Zoey was played by Britt from GH (at least at first) and she wasn't evil really. I think she seemed to be more on Orpheus and Christian's sides than she was and ended up just taking custody of David from Rafe. She was a lawyer to so I can see how that would seem repetitive.
  2. I found it entertaining especially when Jax, Tracy, Sonny, Jason, Lois, Brenda, etc were roped in. I loved those scenes with so much of the cast especially Tracy's re-entrance. I just couldn't tell you exactly what they were fighting about or why lol. I don't need an exact explanation of the numbers, but I don't know why things like Ned being a CEO and a rockstar was a problem or why Ned couldn't just work for ELQ. It's not like he was poor and needed all that stress. Jax/Tracy were the only ones that seem to have ill intentions, even Sonny seem to actively care about the business and making money. I honestly am sure they explained everything clearly, but it's just a boring subject to me at least.
  3. Even though we know nothing about Colin's full plan, it seems the Peterson siblings make the most elaborate, time consuming revenge plots ever. They would probably much better off investing their time in bettering themselves than trying to poison the town or sue people. I guess that goes for most soap characters, but these plots to destroy Chanel/Paulina seem so complicated!
  4. Yeah, those were good EJ scenes. But I think Chavez and Lindstrom have just had so much more to work with in their storylines. I tend to forget it can come down to just a handful of scenes. I would prefer anyone winning over Eden, but I do love that mini-Billy Flynn lookalike. I think VG had better material in BS2, but it looks like she's nominated for Days?
  5. Lol! Could imagine him still holding a grudge and bitter on the set over Wes Ramsey still? Like he won't even speak to Laura Wright on principal?😂 Tristian's always been outspoken, so who knows? He's getting okay material right now.
  6. I think Chavez will still win. I don't think DF as EJ is big competition (sorry @AbcNbc247), but Lindstrom probably is. Victoria Grace is a stretch to me. I like Wendy, but has she done anything to deserve this? I think the kid that plays Thomas had more meaty scenes than her. Given all the material Eden gets and the fact this is not a very competitive category, she's the likely winner (sorry again @AbcNbc247lol)
  7. I am pretty neutral on the Robert/Holly pairing, but I noticed an immediate softness to Robert's interactions with Holly and easy chemistry yesterday. Especially in direct contrast with his scenes with Diane, but TR has also been working with ES for about 40 years on and off so that makes sense. Although you know I like Robert/Anna too.
  8. Diane often wears some severe outfits that age her and I don't think the hair helps, but that was bad outfit. I actually did like the scene you mentioned where she talked about starting to work for Sonny. There are times I like/tolerate CH as Diane, but as either you or someone else mentioned she's best in small doses. I can't see her as Robert's romantic lead especially when you contrast their scenes with his scenes with Holly. TR/ES work so effortlessly together.
  9. There was a lot of Ned going to ridiculous lengths to get ELQ shares back and I don't really know why. It doesn't appear Justus was doing a bad job with his work at ELQ. I never got the reasons Ned did the things he did in regards to ELQ or even covering for AJ as it was detrimental to his marriage and family. A lot of the battle for the ELQ didn't make sense for me in the 90's. I found the scenes where the family had board meetings in their living room entertaining, but the motivation for Ned sometimes puzzled me. That being said, I did love Ned in those years, but he did do a lot of smirking and judging lol.
  10. Sharp started in 98. When I looked it up I was a bit surprised because I thought Phillips was gone by 1997 at the latest. I agree about Phillips. He is so naturally suave and charming (and handsome!). There was always a racist undertone to Morrison's writing as Justus, but I have a difficult time articulating it. There were several scenes during his run that felt very un-Justus like and leaned hard into some stereotypes that Justus just didn't possess.
  11. I think he's always been a little douchey, but lately I feel like TR has Robert acting like a grumpy grandpa and I don't think he was always like that. I feel like TR isn't thrilled about the Diane pairing, but I don't have any proof of that. He just seems a little checked out or annoyed when in scenes with her. The Talbots suit? I think I might be insulting Talbots. It's probably Ann Tayler Outlet. I feel like my grandmother would have found that suit too aged and dated for her 85 self😂
  12. I hope Jagger sits alone at home now feeling bad about how he strung Brenda along for so long. It's a good episode. Ruby is so heavily invested in her teenage boarders romantic lives, but it's sweet she's looking out for them I guess. Also, there is something very endearing about Brenda/Jason/Robin meeting at the movies and them going to find Brenda when she doesn't show (and Brenda's working as a waitress at Kelly's). Sonny getting his ass kicked by Jagger and having to be escorted to the hospital by Stone and Karen over a punch is pretty funny.
  13. No idea. Lack of story? He seems to have other goals and some "interesting" views so maybe it was time to move on for him. Again, Justus is around all the time, but scenes are never about him. He is usually in the background. And Monti Sharp had a different take on the character. He seems more slick but less refined and at that point Justus was just a really good mob lawyer and not much else. I think the last recast was the craziest. The Justus that took a vow of silence in a monastery and was eventually killed off. With every actor they kept moving away from the decent, smart guy that ran ELQ for awhile.
  14. Has Case ever been nominated in the Lead Category before? I am struggling to think of what MB did to deserve a nod this year and a little surprised there is no Laura Wright or Cynthia Watros. Or is CW considered supporting?
  15. I feel like Tristian Rogers seems quite grouchy these days lol. Probably because he's going to be paired with Diane.
  16. How unbelievably lazy to repeat the first 9 plus minutes from yesterday. I love flashbacks, but I didn't need to see them again and I could understand repeating the shooting, but that was a huge chunk of the episode. I don't think Beemer is that bad. I don't think Marstolf or Vaughn are light years ahead of him as far as talent goes. BB isn't fabulous, but he's fine. I thought KA was worse than BB with the fake crying. And, I mean, how can anyone take anything about this episode seriously when you see that CGI? On a style note, that is one short dress Wendy is wearing lol. It looks like something Ciara would wear.
  17. I completely forgot about Lucky's gambling addiction lol. My clearest memory is of Damian hanging out at the PC hotel at the bar a lot. To the point where I remember most of his scenes being in that damn bar. I liked his murder story a lot though. Obviously, you can't ignore race issues when you think of Keesha/Justus's use on the show, but I do think Mary Mae dying suddenly scrapped some plans for the characters. I do remember Justus being around quite a bit and I think Joseph Phillips got decent airtime, but he wasn't doing much except dating Dara or talking to the Q's and then working for Jason/Sonny.
  18. 😬 Lol! Missed that. I guess the unusual amount of activity on this thread today effected my reading comprehension.
  19. Angie is the type of character that would fit well on pretty much any soap. I don't know enough about DM or her feelings on Angie at the time, but I always thought it was weird she was playing a different Dr. and PC really didn't utilize her well at all. But PC had a lot of bumps and I still don't know what the hell they were going for with WN's Rex character either. I am just going to assume DM wanted a bit of a challenge and I think Ellen sounded interesting on paper.
  20. Lol! You watched PC right? Did you like her character on that show? I think if the show just introduced them more slowly and after they were sure they had the rights it would have been fine. By the time the 50th rolled around the show was in a pretty good upswing. McBain/Sam worked and I think Tea/Sonny sounds very interesting, but I would have probably not included Starr or Todd. I don't think Starr/Michael were awful, but it's pretty dark to kill off her partner and child. When I objectively think about the show the OLTL actors fit quite well. It was just my own personal animosity toward the move. It just left a bad taste in my mouth because it felt like Ron wanted it to be OLTL 2.0 and he cared more about that than actual GH. Watching Todd was certainly better than hearing how AWESOME Sabrina was every single day. I think I also was irritated they canned Ingo** (which I think was Guza not even Ron/Frank) and basically just hired Carly and new more expensive love interest. **In 2012, I thought IR was unproblematic and I really liked Jax. I actually hate that I can't enjoy vintage Brenda/Jax now, so thanks a lot Ingo for being a horrible human.
  21. Well, if you were in charge at GH I would have full confidence in you. I know you would cut 90% of the characters I find useless and the show would have room for Angie.
  22. I think another issue for me in regards to the OLTL characters, is that I felt like GH was on borrowed time. We were not sure how long GH was going to last and I was wondering why so much of the story was being eaten by characters that were from a different show that was also cancelled. Obviously, here we are 10 years later, but at the time everyone thought GH was not long for the world. Honestly, a lot of these ideas about bringing characters from different shows into GH arcs sound good and I would probably watch them, but I would absolutely prefer Lois or a Quartermaine come back from the dead than see Angie Hubbard. Everyone's mileage may vary on this, but there are probably 20 GH characters I would prefer to see before any characters from other shows. On the other side of the coin if you switched out, say, Valentin for David Hayward/VI I wouldn't be mad lol.
  23. I thought FV and RC did enough at the beginning of their run on the GH side of things that I didn't miss the OLTLers at all. It was more jarring the way they left and couldn't be spoken about than me actually missing them. And while I love an idea of a hybrid soap I do think it should be online or in a different space than actual GH. They have so many characters that are vets of GH they can bring back. There are absolutely characters that could fit, but I'd be pissed if David Hayward joins the show and Frank won't bring back friggin Brenda Barrett. To be fair though, I am generally pissed when anyone is cast and it's not Vanessa, so I probably don't speak for the entire GH audience.
  24. I like the idea of the ABC soaps all existing in one universe. I don't mind crossovers. It was just too much at once and if they introduced them more slowly it could have worked (not considering the lawsuit and other issues of course). In regards to Jason, I don't mind him being human and flawed, but it felt like this character change was literally made to prop McBain and Sam. Who were honestly good on their own and I have no idea why GH has never gone back to an Easton/Monaco pairing since then. I am not retroactively turning into a Jasam shipper, but it was a pretty crappy way to give them conflict when you have been told for years Jason is awesome and Jason/Sam are the greatest couple ever. Your points are very valid, but I was definitely part of the audience that felt like Jason was deliberately thrown under the bus for an OLTL character. But, I mean, how many GH characters were thrown under the bus for Jason/Sonny, so I guess it's fair.
  25. Agreed about Carly/Jason. I would say I don't think Ron had a very good grasp on Jason or Carly as characters. Maybe Steve let people know he was going to leave early on, but Jason was written horribly out of character in regards to Sam and that baby. I could be wrong because OLTL history is not my specialty, but I felt like Ron viewed Carly/Blair as very similar and almost interchangeable and missed some important nuances to Carly and her relationships. I don't think Ron got Sonny as a character either, but I actually think Sonny came out looking decent with his stories.
