How many guarantees does GR have? Leo has appeared twice this week for no reason. Plus, he always talks about his buddies and parties he goes to, but I thought he had no friends besides Gwen? Colin spent about 30 minutes too long with Leo. He should have punched him immediately. Eric/Nicole were good. I liked Marlena/Kayla talking. The scenes weren't exciting or important, but it's nice to see two women talk like friends and have a casual conversation. Rafe is an idiot if he thinks Colin is going to try to escape with a geriatric man in a wheelchair lol. That's a sure way to get caught lol. The Abe stuff is unbelievably silly. I found it more entertaining than Leo, but that's truly not saying much. @j swiftAbe had a brain bleed or something from the concussion and had to get surgery to fix that. Super random EJ just popped up at the end of the episode like that.

She was on Living Single and In Living Color among other things, but I think that's what she is most famous for. That was also 25-30 years ago, so I don't blame you either lol. I can't even say if she's good or bad from the 5 scenes she was in.

That's very true, but Ciara was really committed and passionate about her stupidity regarding Ben and we were lead to believe she was in the right by the show. The actress that plays Talia wasn't even convincing saying these things to Jada. I want to say Talia was hearing herself talk and the wheels started turning in her head that she was played by Colin, but I don't think AS is that good of an actress and she just sounded dumb.

That Nurse (did we get her name? I can't remember if she told Colin) had 2 scenes with Colin and then went straight to kidnapping Abe. This has to be one of the fastest moving things ever to happen even on Days. At least have this woman lurk in the background for an episode. I swear I won't ever be able to listen to Talia again. I am completely fascinated by the range of movement in her eyebrows now😂 That being said, she sounded like an idiot today. Colin bought her little gifts and was sometimes sweet to her? Girl, get out....

@AbcNbc247I thought you might be exaggerating, but this Nurse popped up out of nowhere. She couldn't have had a weeks worth of scenes so we could get to know her? Why would she want old man Abe? Why does she look like Paulina? Is this going to be the obvious Misery rip off I think it is? This is absolutely ridiculous. I thought today was overall pretty good. The actress that plays Talia does the strangest thing with her one eyebrow when she's emotional. It's sort of like Drake's eyebrow, but more pronounced. I can't focus on anything else when she talks now. I am surprised they had Sloan come clean so quickly. It takes a lot of drama out of the situation, but it's clear the show is trying to rehab Sloan's entire character.

Yes, the only thing Kristen ever wanted is to be a mother and she's blowing it big time. She's using her child as a weapon to keep Brady, which is slightly in character, but in the 90's I felt she actually did want a child and to be a mom. Even if EJ/John Jr was a means to keep John, I empathized with her not being able to conceive and losing her "only" chance when she miscarried

Luke absolutely was used to prop Sonny, but TG and MB had such a good rapport I can see why they went with that and the show quickly got that strip club out of the way once they decided to keep Sonny. Brenda, Robin, Stone, and his sad backstory definitely helped Sonny become viable. I also think Karen/Jagger leaving benefitted Sonny as well. It was easy to not talk about the Karen stuff when she wasn't around. Plus it gave the writers the oppurtunity to move Brenda into adult stories (and age her up onscreen) without much complication so Sonny/Brenda didn't seem as creepy. She was still bff with Robin, but suddenly Robin seemed much younger than Brenda. I do often wonder how things would have played out if Jagger/Karen stayed on and how Jagger/Karen as a married couple would have developed.

To piggyback off the friendship thread that started with a Kristen/Lani comment I think in the 90's it helped Kristen had other relationships and friendships that grounded her. Her close relationship with Billie/Jen and the fact Alice/Tom liked her helped remind us that Kristen did things out of desperation. She also had a career in social work she was passionate about and a strong relationship with her brother Peter that felt much more real than her 40 onscreen siblings now. She wasn't an all out psycho. She spiraled out of obsession, but she didn't start out as evil and I don't think she was truly evil even in the end. There is nothing redeeming about Kristen now. It's been so long since she acted like a sympathetic human you can't reverse her course now. She's just irredeemable and there is nothing to root for there at all. I do agree with @j swift. Kristen wasn't asking for money, but she was forcing Brady to change custody in exchange for the 'cure' and that was a formal legal agreement. It was at the very least blackmail.

Yeah you are right. I forgot about Li. There was a little something there. For some reason I just assumed Li would fade away since the Gabi story is over. Even though Kristen has been on for so long she doesn't have a lot of solid connections on canvas besides her family. She's been hyper focused on John and/or Brady, so there isn't even someone from her past to bring back.

That's actually really true. I can't think of anyone to pair her with though. She's related to 75% of her screen partners😂

Today's episode was boring. I like how in Salem running a restaurant is akin to having all the skills necessary for any job. First Maggie, now Chloe lol. I really can't stand Sarah or this story and I don't actually object to Brady/Gwen. I don't like Gwen, but I am all for anything that gets Brady out of Kristen's bubble and Gwen out of Xander's. Chad is being a bit weird about Alex, but I understand it. Also, Stephanie, go to your room to have sex. This isn't your house it's your parents. Don't have sex on their couch. That's really rude!

It's funny Carly has girlfriends. It's like the antithesis of what Carly is supposed to be. What do you get out of a friendship with Carly? Hair tips? How to not to wear a bra in every situation? Lessons on how to be the loudest person in the room? She's so self-involved I don't even see a plus side to being her friend.

I think Sonny would be the better example over Brenda. They had a huge casting call for the part. Vanessa had a contract and it was clear the show was building the teen scene. I think it's obvious she was meant to be a B character, but I think there was at least loosely a plan to have her end up with Jason or AJ at some point if not play the spoiler for Karen/Jagger for a long while had ASJ and CS stayed on. I am sure the GH didn't see her as the future leading lady she became, but I think Brenda's character at least a character they had investment in. I think it was more of a combination of a charismatic actress, CS leaving, and a fire pairing that made her a star though. @VeeAs far as Vanessa's debut, she was initially pretty rough, but I thought she quickly became the breakout of the teen scene. People seemed to love CS's Karen, though. Sonny/Mo had the Karen story and was going to be killed off? I believe after that arc. He was so awful and smarmy I can't believe he made it past that story.

She does talk really slow lol. I wonder if the actress has some sort of accent that she's trying to hide so she has to speak slowly and clearly lol. I only listen to half of what Sasha says anyway because she's generally saying the same things over and over and has been for months.

Right? I used to think Sasha was the lesser of two evils and I did like her more, but now she is so boring. It would also give Nina nothing to cry and complain about because Sasha would instantly accept her, so the story would be even more awful with the lack of any conflict. I don't think we have ever agreed on a single topic ever, so I will just say I disagree and I wouldn't miss Nina at all.

I find Wendy/Johnny a little dull right now. Tripp actively needs to be part of this story lol. I am liking Sloan and Eric quite a bit lately. I think Sloan's actions are much more believable than Nicole's since Eric/Sloan's relationship is so new. The Dimera stuff is BORING. I can't believe Tony/Anna kept chit chatting about Nicole's pregnancy like that out in the open and then Nicole joined them lol. Is Stacey wearing a wig or does her hair look like that? If her hair looks like that she needs to stop dying it so blonde. It looks like straw plopped on her head😂 Leo is useless. I don't think Kayla is allowed to get involved like that? I know HIPPA is loose around Salem, but I think it would be a step to far for Kayla to insert herself into this mess.

She prides herself on getting the most money out of Sonny/Jason and all the trouble that they are in. If you're getting rich off of it and clearly enjoying it then please shut up. If you aren't find a new job with your brilliance. And the hypocrisy of her long term relationship with Max. The mob is okay when she's getting off and making money. It's fine to criticize Sonny, but not when your bills are paid by him. I don't think she was like this when she first came on. I think she admonished either Sonny or Jason once or twice and people liked it and now it's her schtick.

Carly can have her lol. There is a difference between being snarky and clever and being an a**hole. Diane often falls into that latter category. It's not a good look for a 60 year woman who prides herself on her career. She looks petty. Diane doesn't have to lose the sarcasm because I think she has some funny one liners. Diane has just been doing this same schtick for 15 years and it's old. She has no depth of character and if the show wants to pair her with a leading man she needs to be more than comic relief (and I use that term loosely). It really has nothing to do with Nina. That particular set of scenes just reminded me why I hate Diane.

Interesting. I mean BW could deliver, but I could see why Riche/Guza might be reticent to cast him just based off of looks alone. I certainly don't blame BW for staying for the money. He did what he could with the role. Do we know who the first SK recast was that didn't work out?

@VeeI didn't listen to Billy's podcast. Why didn't Riche want him on GH? How did he ended up getting the job? Was the show just in a rock and a hard place with SK's unexpected departure? And if so, how did BW stay so long?

Easy to do lol. I remember her siding with EJ sometime around Sami's kidnapping, but I think it was a mutual blackmail thing.

I think the last time Kristen had a vote she supported Gabi/Jake, but that was to get a job at Basic Black.

Diane walks around in her Chico's suits acting like she's better and smarter than everyone and it's so off putting. I don't know why it would be hard for Diane to be pleasant to her boss's fiancée. Nina was being really nice. Again, I can't stand Nina but I don't understand why Diane had to be outright rude to her. Even after Nina said she had a really hard time making friends. Nina should have a hard time making friends, but Diane treated her like she wasn't even worth common human decency. I can't even believe Robert would give her the time of day over Holly.

I actually like this idea and think it would be a good story. I think they would have to age and recast Rachel a bit though. The little girl that plays Rachel is fine now, but she couldn't carry any heavy material.
