  1. Weirdly, I think it's always been like that? I could be wrong, but I remember most critical patients had to be wheeled past the nurse's station so Amy and Bobbie could see who was injured.
  2. I don't remember Miguel being a Karen/Jagger spoiler, but he was an orderly at the hospital and moved into being a singing bartender so I guess that makes sense. Due to Karen/Jagger's popularity I would assume that would have been a failure, but most everything Miguel did on the show was a failure, so it checks out. I didn't like the Ned/Jenny/Paul/Tracy stuff personally because I felt Jenny was not worth fighting over and Tracy's character seem to be slightly humiliated by hanging on to Paul. Others may have different thoughts though.
  3. I mean @Soapsuds boy is the ultimate smirker. Chandler thought everything was humorous while in scenes lol. Yes! The Possession was played very seriously. It was silly, but JER believed in that story. Deidre and Drake believed in the story and while it's not my favorite it wasn't treated as a joke.
  4. The lack of John has been frustrating lately especially with the Brady/Rachel stuff. Eric gets married in John's home and he's not there lol. John just exists on the other side of a phone for Marlena. I know there are guarantees and all, but Kate and Marlena pop up every episode. Give Drake some love here. I am reserving my judgement on Blake Berris and Everett too because I have always enjoyed BB and really do think he got a raw deal as Nick. I just wish there was a way to make him Nick again or even Nick's long lost twin. Not this tongue and cheek-you look familiar stuff.
  5. See, it actually makes me feel like the show thinks we are dumb. That we aren't going to notice or care. That we will just go along with it because it's Days and it's campy. It feels like the showrunners don't respect their dwindling audience at all. Of course, it's not that serious and I doubt the show actually is trying to offend like I said earlier, but it is how it makes me feel. EOB as Theresa is more obnoxious to me than RSW as Alex. We have no previous blueprint for Alex, so RSW could create his own (annoying) character for the role. I know what Theresa is supposed to be like and EOB is just miscast in that role. I think if it was just one actor or one character I could let it slide. But when you add that in with insulting tone deaf storylines, characters that are heavily featured that no one likes, and awful pacing you end up with a mess of a show that isn't gaining new fans and alienating it's old ones.
  6. That's fair. I didn't see those comments. I don't think Sarah dresses like a doctor either, but she is.
  7. I think the conversation on here was that Talia didn't act like a Dr. And I would agree with that. She didn't. I don't think anyone on here specifically said she didn't "look" like a Dr.
  8. I honestly didn't find him to be that bad comparatively to the rest of the cast. I don't think he's going to win any Emmy's, but I think his material was just bad. Li had some charisma. It's like the Talia actress. She wasn't great but there was something to work with and I think it's the same Remington. I am not crying over the loss of Li Shin. I just think the character had more potential.
  9. I don't think Remington was good exactly. He smirked a lot. I just don't think he was given a lot to play until recently and I thought he did well with that material. I think he could have done more with the role if given half a chance. I just have mixed feelings on Li because he truly was a C character that got an expanded role because of whatever reasons. It just feels like if you are going to use the character use him properly. He was just a prop and obstacle for Stabi and a mustache twirling villain. His motives for his obsession and clingy-ness didn't take shape until way too late. Daytime is sorely lacking Asian characters in general and it does seem like a waste.
  10. Ugh.....it falls in line with Wendy being tech savvy and Melinda having to give up her daughter. I don't think Days is actively trying to offend they just haven't met a stereotype they didn't like. And Melinda, Li, Wendy don't seem like they grew up in China. Idk, it's sort of the same thing with the Hernandez family too having to be from Mexico and have immigration issues.
  11. I don't think Remington was that bad. I think Carson Boatman and at times RSW are worse. I think Li was just boxed into a role that didn't have much depth until like the day before he died. I agree with @j swift that a lot of Li's story had some racism to it as well. His entire romance with Melinda, for example, felt weird and the only reason they were paired was because they were both Asian. I think Li lasted a lot longer than he should have, but at the same time I think the character had more to give. They definitely could have fleshed out the relationship with his father more and his father's relationship with Wendy.
  12. Brenda's bubble bath fantasy? Brenda used to have a lot of little fantasy sequences in the early Sonny/Brenda days. I guess she grew out of it? It's kind of hilarious the show was testing Vanessa/Brenda out with all these men though. I genuinely think any of those guys would have been a decent pairing for her. Not Sonny level, but decent.
  13. I don't think the show ever actually changed it. I think different regimes have just incorrectly stated his middle name. This is when I started liking Nicole. I couldn't stand her when she first showed up dating JA's Eric. I can't believe Nicole not only survived this long, but became a main character I like.
  14. You might be right. I could have sworn EM's Brady and Nicole have discussed it, but they may have only talked about it. Nicole may not have been drinking. I just remember she was drinking in the morning at some points and characters commented on it. I don't know if it's forgotten, but I do sort of like the idea that characters go through up and downs and sometimes go on benders. Shawn's alcoholism felt so out of the blue to me.
  15. A Sonny pairing is my biggest fear for Lois. LLC is fine. I am an overall neutral on her. She's likable enough. I have just never gotten over the fact she's Lois lite. I tend to agree about retiring Nikolas in general or at least for a long while. I agree Huss is fine, but nothing special. SN is on contract at Days.
  16. I know this post was about Katie from B&B, but whatever happened to Nicole's alcoholism? She drinks (or did before she was pregnant) regularly and just fine these days and I thought I was the only one who remembered she had a drinking problem.
  17. Idk why you love LLC-I guess I am okay with it. But if the original blueprint does not want to play that story it does limit Lois. If Rena doesn't want to go there the characters become redundant and Olivia currently just has stronger ties to the canvas. It's a real shame, but it's a personal choice for both WK/RS. It tends to bungle things more because WE know Lois is the love of Ned's life. It's just hard if no one wants to play that and it's not a judgement. Just real life. I just can't figure out where Lois would go as far as love interests and friends and what not. Because Lois wouldn't hang with Carly/Nina/Ava on principle (at least I hope), so that leaves basically no one.
  18. Again, if we took the Ned pairing off the table for Lois there wouldn't be any point to ditch Olivia.
  19. I was laughing that FV said "room for Jordan #3, but nothing for Lois" When actually thinking about it I have to agree. There isn't a place I can see Lois going outside the Ned pairing. There isn't any man on the show I can imagine pairing Lois with currently. My fear would be that the show would try to pair her with Sonny and ruin everything. Unless, you just keep playing her off of Brooklyn and Tracy, but that's not exactly enough for a contract. I think if the canvas had a few other characters that she was close with even if it was Brenda or Robin or Jason or Jax-there'd be a little more for her to do. Lois is just isolated with the Q's and Sonny right now and I don't know how I would expand that role for her. The show could do it. I just can't think of a logical place for her to go. That Alcazar mess before was rough.
  20. Harris didn't remember Li's involvement. He told everyone it was all Megan.
  21. The Li stuff also feels like Gabi/Stefan are just kicking a guy when he's down. I know he did some awful things, but he seems to be actively trying to be better. If Gabi/Stefan were truly upset about the attempt on Stefan's life that's one thing. They just are doing this to be greedy. They already won. Do they need more money to be together in their mansion and live happily ever after? Li lives with his sister, is alone, is out at Dimera, and generally miserable. Stefan/Gabi's goal wasn't justice or to put Li in jail-it was strictly for their own personal gain. They talk about the law and Li being the worst, but they are casually breaking several laws a day for their stupid 'shares'. It's an awful look for those two.
  22. I find the actress that plays Holly to be extremely charming. She's pretty good at humor and being slightly awkward. Days did a good casting job with her. Johnny needs to cut his hair. What's going on there? Lol I really shouldn't feel bad for Li, but I do. Gabi and Stefan are so obnoxious. Outside of Leo/Dmitri these two are the least rootable characters on the show.
  23. I definitely thought she was in her 40's. She looks good. I just assumed she was older than JL. JL looks younger than 39 though, but some people choose to get some tweaks and some don't lol. EOB just strikes me as more serious too so that might also age her to me. I had the opposite problem. I looked 21 when I was 15 and would get into bars and just sort of stayed looking the same age for years. In my own mind I still do, but that's probably not the case😂
  24. Oops! I thought EOB was slightly older lol. I have to agree with @janea4old. There was no reason not to just bring EOB in at the start as Theresa. I guess the show just decided they had more plans for Theresa once Jen was there.
  25. I wonder if part of the reason they ditched Jen Lilley for Emily O'Brien is that Jen Lilley looks too young to be Tate's mom. I am sure it was just for silly reasons BTS, but I do think EOB is a little older than JL. JL isn't technically too young, but she looks younger than her own age. I can't really pin down EOB's age with a quick google search, but she looks like she's in her early 40's. Idk, I think I am still trying to put some logical reasoning in this decision where there clearly isn't one lol.
