Jagger-mild rival for Sonny 30 years ago , might like Carly, and is FBI Jax-rival of Sonny's for 25 plus years, married to Carly, father to Joss, stepfather to Michael, takes over businesses on the daily, also dated Nina, once was very into Lois, and bff with Ned and Alexis. Jax has so much more relevance here lol. I am not advocating for Jax or Jagger to be back, but Jagger is a practical non-entity. And in general "this group" has never been praying for a Jagger return lol Exactly

Sure? He could. But there are about 100 characters on the cast currently that would have a more vested interest in finding Jason lol. Jason's high school rival that he doesn't remember doesn't hold much weight here.

Exactly. What is he going to do that another random FBI agent couldn't? Talk to Olivia about Leo? Go a few rounds with Sonny talking about things that happened decades ago? Say hi to Lois? Form a buddy cop team with Dante? It's such an odd choice to cast Jagger again when no one ask for it. Like...ever. Even when ASJ was on Nightshift pimping to get back on main GH and had some buzz no one cared. None of these characters need to spend their time talking to Jagger about the past. Maybe Scott. And also Jason doesn't remember Jagger at all so it would all be moot because he left town before Jason had his accident.

I said Jax. But mostly because if Frank was casting out of spite, Ingo would be the first one to get recast. Not ASJ. He is still much more relevant than Jagger even if I don't see a need for him. And for everyone who keeps asking. No, Jagger has never specifically identified to any sort of race/ethnicity/background. The name Cates doesn't suggest anything in particular. Both Stone and Jagger looked darker and ethnic. Gina never did. But again, to me it's the same thing as casting Brenda with Terri Conn, KMH, or any of the other hilarious blondes that have been suggested in this thread. Brenda is to our knowledge Caucasian, but Vanessa clearly isn't. I'd have the same issue if Jax was cast with a non-Australian. No one likes Ingo, but if they cast an American white guy it wouldn't be right for Jax even though they are both white.

I don't disagree with the sentiment. In fact I agree with the 2 year contract, but the fact we are trying to mandate Vanessa to make a decision to spend years of her life at this show so she can appear is odd. Rena is appearing in a recurring fashion and no one minds that.

I don't really care if he can act. I am sure he can, but we are recasting an Italian ethnic actor with a very non Italian, ethnic actor. I am sure you can understand that's a bit bizarre and off putting.

There is no way you could make Brenda cow tow to Carly without a massive fan outcry, so it wouldn't be worth it to even try to make them on level playing fields. Carly will always feel below Brenda because of her upbringing and complex about her. She's will always be second choice and even LW's Carly was self-aware of this while concocting ridiculous schemes to take Brenda out. Any other narrative about the situation would be weird and off.

Which is fine. They have been engaged for years and years, but it would seem all that money she made is all hers, so she could probably float for awhile without work. It looks like they (she) own homes in both New York and LA so they can't be doing that bad lol.

I think Vanessa did pretty well in syndication money with Las Vegas and 90210. She also make a lot on GH overall and if she invested it well she probably doesn't have to work. She was never a massive star, but I think she has made enough to live comfortably, if not extravagantly if she was smart about it. I think Vanessa also mentioned she was pausing her career until her son and stepdaughter were out of school. Her son is, but I think the stepdaughter is a senior in high school right now. I actually don't think she's married to her partner btw.

I don't think Brenda would be ruined at the altar of Carly. She's just too big of a character. The Ninas and Avas can come in, but it's not the same. Brenda was the IT girl long before Carly was. Carly is insecure about Brenda. Sonny and Jax's were Brenda's men first. I can agree FV might ruin it, but the character of Brenda just has a lot more legs than two characters made up in the last decade.

Well, Adam was a male that adored her. Britt was just a regular person who tolerated her. He was worth saving. She was not😂

Oh don't worry he will. I am just glad we didn't have to watch Eden finish the Adam story. Her one person crusade to save a life and a guitar was at least played by the recast.😂

Victor Webster would be better as Jagger. Nikolas requires a range that I don't think VW could reach, but he probably could play Jagger. Plus he fills the hotness role.

I think ASJ being the kind of person he is really underscores the actual issue here. Most people are fine with anyone, but ASJ and are overlooking the ridiculousness. Obviously that goes without saying.

I always did. It was just a colder, bitchier, less emotional Brenda. And let's be honest, Las vegas stretched no one's acting range lol. I do love the show and have seen every episode at least 3 times though. Josh Duhamel was just peak dreamy back then. I am really not trying to slam Vanessa, my most favorite actress on soaps of all time. I just think I can see some of her limitations. I am not saying he was wrong. He just did play the blame game for awhile on the love interests. And I do agree about bringing Hannah in at the time was a huge mistake as well. It was too much Brendaclone too soon.

I think CW is objectively the better actress overall. Clearly I am a Vanessa fan and I think she's fantastic, but she relies a lot on charisma, charm, and star appeal along with fire chemistry with her co-stars. VM is wonderful at playing Brenda, but CW would have slayed Brenda's breakdown scenes in 1997-98 and Vanessa did whatever she did. They are both great, but CW just has a bit more range. And to be honest, I always thought Vanessa just played slightly different versions of Brenda on every show/movie she was on. That doesn't mean I don't love her or can't name 100 scenes that VM/Brenda did that were amazing. I just think popularity, appeal and chemistry are different than actual acting skills. Vanessa beats Cynthia is the former, but not the latter.

Lol. I remember when he talked crap about LV's Hannah like she was the problem. Well, she was, but she was the reason the pairing tanked. Then again with the Angel pairing. It was the actress's fault as well. I don't think he ever liked the Reese pairing. I will say he was quite good with Megan Ward, but that's really the only pairing in the ballpark of his main pairings and that was 15 years ago.
