  1. I have been pretty vocal about not being a fan of the Possession and I do think it went on too long. It was a very cool talking point among random non-soap fans, but did it help Days in the end? Idk..
  2. I believe the show also extended the Possession much longer than planned due to popularity. You can see the points where a lot of the action is very superfluous and I think NBC wanted a sweeps ending in the summer.
  3. Well, there are a lot of good things I can say about JER. I loved the way he wrote John/Marlena. I loved his events. But pacing was never his strong suit. Everything lasted forever when a few clear conversations would have changed the entire story. It did dumb everyone down. Although I do still love the era.
  4. OG Dorman was very shady about Stone and his diagnosis. I think that was his whole bit. Tony had to be like whoa slow down there bro. He can still live out the time he has left. And OG Dorman, was like, no thank you, I am a bigot lol.
  5. I can write you an entire essay about how stupid Sonny/Brenda's reunion we waited years for was tied to an origami gum wrapper serial killer and it still wouldn't be enough. It was that bad. I thought V was a vague replacement for where Miranda should have been in the story although I liked her. Bringing Julia back was long overdue, so props for that.
  6. I, as a John/Marlena fan, do know that lol.
  7. I will agree John/Drake looked pretty rough back then lol. Benjy had so much potential and again it was never really used. Benjy/Benji-not sure lol.
  8. Nothing, so nice happy ending for both of them. Win Win. Btw, I hate Lois's outfit. It's too far on the tacky end even for Lois. Rena looks great, but I still don't get the vibe that anyone on GH currently "gets" Lois at all.
  9. All those stories were just odd for lack of a better word. JER possibly could have done something with it, but the Roman/pagoda story was a big let down from the beginning. It was clear Deidre was in talks to return and it didn't happen so the story just puttered out. Benji might have been the only real story with legs. It could have been explored more. The Shane/Drew stuff was DOA on arrival although the show has used the twin fact in recent years. Lol! We started getting into weird JER territory where John was going to drink Poisoned! Brainwash! Soup. His haircut was the most realistic thing airing at that point.
  10. So strange. I am not asking for in-depth Sonny/Nina scenes, but we were just left hanging with the whole thing. The romance is over now? Lol. Lois had more to say about the breakup then Sonny and Nina have.
  11. You know, if that's the last thing Harris does on this show then Steve Burton's run was entirely worth it lol
  12. I know you watch GH, but I am not sure for how long. Today's show reminded me of the Lullaby Massacre from 1994? on GH when Laura was singing to baby Lulu and various places around town got shot up (L&L's house, Sonny's apartment, Luke's club, etc.) Obviously, Days had 1% of that budget, but it gave me the same vibe although not as hauntingly effective. Shame about the Horton house, but I like the idea of multiple places and people being involved. And well, Harris got shot. It's material I am sure SBu is very comfortable with😂
  13. I do wonder when Ingo's politically extreme views took shape. He seemed fairly normal and laid back most of his run. I am not sure he was miserable on the GH set. He seemed to enjoy his job. I just don't think the people around him enjoyed him lol. Horrible picture aside, I still think Ingo is very good looking. Even with sun damage, he looks better than whatever is going on with Steve Burton lol.
  14. You know, I have a feeling Ingo's lost a lot of friends. I wonder if he speaks to anyone from his GH days. Even Steve's views aren't as openly outlandish as the stuff Ingo puts out and I doubt they were close after Ingo blasted Monavie all those years ago.
  15. Honestly, it's nice Drake stood up for his character, but he also knew and agreed to host the SOD awards (I believe), so it's not really Days fault. They just worked around it.
  16. I thought it was written in fine, tbh. Stefano had John and Marlena clean up and dress up for the dinner where John was going to eat the poison soup that would brainwash him again. I actually knew why it was happening, but didn't think it was ridiculous. In my mind it made sense that Stefano would want Marlena/John to look fancy and dressed up if he was having dinner with them.
  17. I feel like I explained this entirely already 10 posts ago. There are reasons Jagger hates Sonny, but Karen made peace with Sonny long before she died. Jagger/Karen broke up (offscreen) because he was cheating. No one is a saint here. Wagger is the best name ever. Still don't know why he is back either. So many people in this world can hate Sonny because he's a literal criminal. Bringing back his "enemy" from 30 years ago is so weird. It's not relevant to anything currently.
  18. I still feel like Nina is one bad move away from a breakdown. Even though I hate weepy, insecure, apologizing Nina I do think CW is playing it like she is slightly unstable and trying desperately to keep it all together.
  19. I don't think it's the craziest idea, but I think Drew is short on time here. Once Steve is back Drew will be marginalized and gone again.
  20. Lol. I don't care that much either. I am just a completionist I suppose. It just feels unfinished at this point and pushing Sonny towards Anna or Lois or Ava or whoever feels strange. I guess we will see what's next.
  21. As much as I hate Nina/Sonny I just don't feel like this is the dealbreaker for them. After years of the show telling us how compatible they were it feels like a letdown to their fans at least? If they exist. I guess Nina could go back to Valentin, but that feels like a fate worse than death and I still don't think Nina was wrong in the SEC nonsense.
  22. Ughh...I forgot about my Anna/Sonny fears until this moment lol. Do we think Sonny is actually going to permanently move on from Nina?
  23. It does. And I honestly don't think it's the worst idea in the world. They do have chemistry. It just strongly goes against everything Lois represents, but Lesli Kay's Lois did date Alcazar so I am not even sure where Lois is at as a character or a person. The only real frame of reference we have about Lois's love life for all these years is that she married Ned and felt that was a disaster and is fine with Olivia marrying him.
  24. Yes! The things Olivia was saying about Lois needing Sonny's approval was so strange!! This is a woman who once convinced Sonny's girlfriend to wear a wire on him to get Sonny in trouble because he was breaking the law. Lois loves Sonny as an old friend, but she never compromised on his bad behavior. As far as Nina, I could see her disliking her on principle or to have some solidarity with Brenda or something, but she just hates her to hate her which is weird. I feel weird vibes from it all and I hope they move away from the Lois/Sonny thought when PM and Korte take over.
