I can understand VK not wanting to commit forever because she's young, but she was very back and forth about it. My issue with VK was she would act and play against character a lot. She would dress and play Ciara so overtly sexy even at 9 months pregnant. She gorgeous. I get it. At the risk of sounding a bit sexist, she came off a bit full of herself and needed everyone to know how hot she was always lol. RSW does seem full of himself as well, but he seems more loyal to Days and grateful for a job.

People always say that about RSW. I don't know enough about him. VK/Ciara always rubbed me the wrong way. More than Ben/RSW did.

Thanks! I don't think I ever looked at the details. I just always thought use Lilley around her schedule and do the story or don't use Lilley at all. If there were already plans to recast it's silly Days made it weird by using JL briefly. And just let EOB use her own hair. A blonde wig wasn't fooling anyone that she wasn't the same actress that played Gwen 10 minutes ago.😂

And All about Ava episode does not sound like an episode for me😂 This is way off topic, but wasn't AW just trying to keep up with Days and JER wackiness at the time?

Yeah. And Alarr got fired and Holly/Tate were gone for months, so I assume things were stalled or changed. I am sort of like you-with how far ahead they tape and how weirdly the show paces things I can't really know if it was possible to do the whole thing in 12 weeks.

I don't remember thinking it was awful, but frankly I don't remember it much at all. What was a standout story for you?

Yeah I get that plus add the Tate recast. I think I worded what I was trying to say wrong. I don't know why it had to last longer than 12 weeks lol. I think you realistically could have wrapped most this stuff up quicker and moved on. It's not like the reveal is even shaking things up that much.

Well, I guess they won't be our new saviors for GH then. I know some people liked them, but I honestly can't remember a single thing they wrote that I cared about.

Since Theresa seems to be going to jail it makes me wonder why they didn't just use Jen Lilley. It gave EOB a few more months on the show, but it really wasn't worth much. They probably could have just pre-taped enough JL's scenes and paced the airing of them to drag it out. I suppose recasting Tate would have made that impossible though.

I use Peacock everyday, obviously. They keep adding good things but it's still hard to specifically search. I have Paramount but I don't use it that much. It's mostly good for MTV content and live football games. The laugh was a choice. Honestly, I am not telling you to watch the 90's or 2002 but you can't even see what Brenda is and could be from 2011 IMO. There is some good stuff from that return, but it really doesn't represent how dynamic Brenda is. I'll just leave you with this (sorry I know this belongs in Classic GH)

It's either super retro shows or something sort of soap relevant. Peacock still tells me to keep watching Leave it to Beaver right now and I hate them. But yesterday was Las Vegas and I was like they must know me now! I pay full price! Sadly....no I use Peacock a lot. And for super niche sports or some Bravo shows and it might be the worst streaming service to search. The Olympic coverage is literally the hardest thing to navigate in the world. Nothing to do with GH unless someone wants to watch Josh Duhamel, Nikki Cox, and Vanessa Marcil in a mid 2000's AWESOME show. Edit Also James Caan in Las Vegas which was probably the biggest drew LOL

I could maybe see it as a big bucks stunt casting and it wouldn't have worked. I don't think Alyssa would have been interested though. But Guza would never do that to his girl Vanessa because he always knew she would come back. Frank doesn't give two craps about the character so he wouldn't do it either. He's trying to figure out Michael Easton's 4th role.

I couldn't even imagine a Robin recast and not Rebecca Budig. Is that why she got the stupid role as Hayden? RB is better suited to Brenda if we are talking about cocky moves, IMO. I can't believe they were ever serious about recasting either one tbh. The only way I think you might have been able to sneak a Robin recast in was before KMc came back from the dead. Ala Billy Miller/Jason. So you could hire a Robin that had surgery/was held hostage/whatever and reverse it if the original became available. Lol! Agreed. Alyssa Milano seems to be doing fine, so I don't think she was ever seeking out being a daytime recast.

Yup. It's just a tactic to lure the actual actor you want back. They aren't recasting Brenda or Robin ever. That would go over like a lead balloon. I think Vanessa even said she would never return if she was recast and she was always in charge of that character until FV took over. And even Frank isn't stupid or brave enough to try to recast Robin/Brenda.

How do you think? 🤮 It was a rumor going around for awhile and maybe had minor steam just to get Vanessa to think about returning. I don't think Rebecca would be the worst choice ever, but I just don't think you can recast her back then or now. The actress and the character are too intertwined and Brenda isn't THAT relevant to the canvas or core families that you need her before you need Vanessa. LLC said she was in interviews. Never heard about Alyssa Milano. She's probably more expensive than Vanessa Marcil so that seems silly.

The thing is most of us Brenda fans would take Brenda with or without Sonny because the character is stronger than 75% of the cast just wandering around town chatting with people. It just not realistic unfortunately. I have spent many years defending Brenda so I have practiced. On that note about Days, I was so annoyed Peacock kept sending me to Leave It to Beaver after every Days episode. Why? And pleasantly surprised to see Las Vegas the last few days. I thought Peacock had finally figured me out, but I guess everyone is getting that up next..😂

There are plenty of Brenda, Sonny, and Sonny/Brenda haters out there. Brenda really doesn't deserve to be paired with Sonny and all his baggage, but I think watching some 90's Sonny/Brenda might help you appreciate them more and how much better Sonny can be (mostly lol). For me, it kills two birds with one stone. We aren't getting rid of Sonny or Mo, so we might as well get a story a good portion of the audience would enjoy with a character most of the audience wants back. The second issue I think comes into play is that I don't think Vanessa/Brenda are coming back without a Sonny pairing and Mo pushing a bit. I don't think it's right or fair, but Frank seems to really not want to go down that road. Anyhow, I don't think any of us Brenda fans want her to just fall into Sonny's arms. I think there needs to a strong change from Sonny and sacrifices made by him to get her back. It also would make sense for Sonny to finally change and give up the business for her. The love of his life and Sonny could move more to the background. Brenda can lead 'their' stories. Honestly, if I have to watch Sonny it might as well be with someone I like to see him with. Just my opinion, of course.

Never to us! But in general Brenda just has more options to play since we've seen Sonny do everything except be a good person lol. Bonus, it would give Rena/Lois something else to do. I am of the mind that even if I don't love the couple the importance of romance and sex on GH tends to be missing a lot. Joss/Dex are young, attractive, have some chemistry, and are in love. There is nothing wrong with showing it. I didn't bother me at all.

I agree. I also know myself and think if I saw the story Donna was laying out I would probably think the show could have done everything about it better lol. Also, not directed at you in particular, I don't enjoy Dex/Joss love scenes. But at least they are trying to be sexy and young. Brook Lynn wears a fluffy robe on her wedding night. The show needs at least a few couples looking like they enjoy being intimate.

This Hattie stuff is going to be the death of me. And how does Bonnie of all people not recognize Hattie? And now a possible Hattie/Leo comedy duo? It's like something out of my worst nightmare. And I know it's a Jamey script, but if Leo walked in like a normal person and applied for the writing job I would have actually thought that made sense and lined up with his writing talents. Tate/Holly are like the stupidest people on earth. That's all. Xander/Sarah probably at least deserved a Friday episode for their wedding lol.

I have never been much of a Lulu fan, but I do find her necessary on canvas. I don't think the show ever got the casting exactly right, but JMB was pretty decent toward the end of her run and did have good chemistry with DZ. I don't hate Rylan as much of the rest of you. I thought she was okay. The show gave Dante/Lulu a lot of stupid stories through the years (especially with the kids) so I give ER some grace on that. It was very clear that the show was trying to marginalize Lulu as much as possible by the end of her run. That being said, I would try for JMB first although I don't know if she still acts. If not, I am positive there are at least 15-20 blondes with daytime experience in the right age range that could play Lulu better than Rylan. I still like the idea of Marci Miller. I do have a slightly hard time imagining her with teenage children even if I do think she reads a bit older than her age.
