UGH...you can check the Days thread for Ron's antics I actually think if Wendy Riche asked Ricky to do a cameo he would have-even at near peak fame. If I recall, she was very accommodating to him and let him out of his contract early so he could star on Les Mis or something on Broadway. But that ship sailed years ago lol.

After the entire Days episode today being a bunch of the same type of humor I had reached my limit. I am probably just traumatized from that. I believe it's been mentioned more than once Miguel is super famous. I think at some point Lois was still even his manager. Sometimes just because you can easily google history of the show doesn't make it a right choice. Lol! There were times in the past I legitimately thought the show should reach out to do a Nurse's Ball cameo or something. I am not a complete hater.

Me too? I swear I actually like Ricky Martin. I think he's a very talented guy. His GH work leaves a lot to be desired. I don't care about the mention of his character, but I'd rather the show just say Ricky Martin instead of a character most of the audience barely knows and generally disliked if they do.

Agreed. It's a shame because I usually just complain here and think, "Oh Days!" I actually find this disrespectful to everyone involved. Vets like LK, JR, DH, and even JE should not be used in this capacity. You know it's an empty threat!! I'll be here tomorrow reading your AM post to see what's in store for the day.🤣

True. It's one of those "wink, wink, IYKYK" things that Frank and Ron both do. It annoys me. Just say Ricky Martin and don't refence an obscure character from 30 years ago that no one cares about. It's not like he's Taylor Swift.

I don't think there's anything humiliating or embarrassing about Sasha being the Q chef. She seems to enjoy it. I do agree it's a strange choice for the character though. Working at the Metro Court seems like a good idea, but her leaving the canvas is also a good idea lol.

Ha! A Miguel Morez mention.🙄 I love how the show acts like he's huge or Ricky Martin is super relevant in 2024. Kristina is a little "ME, ME, ME!" right now. She still seems to being getting the main perspective on this loss. It was a bit better for TJ/Molly today though. Kirsten Storms finally seems to have figured out a good look for her. Her hair is the right color finally and her outfit was cute. She looks and seems so much better as Maxie these days!

I will say I enjoyed the Johnny/Ava scenes. I completely forgot they even knew one another then I remember their flirtation awhile back. I often think Deidre Hall almost looks better as Hattie than as Marlena. I know her outfits are supposed to be "goofy" and "silly", but they are often more figure flattering and her make up and hair look better. I think there is a serious issue on how the show puts together episodes. I really don't know all the nuances of producing and editing a show, but we know they have months and months of episodes done. Having mustache twirling serial killer Connie and all this Body & Soul stuff feels like too much camp for one episode. I think perhaps a more serious story might help balance out the Body & Soul stories. I mean, does EJ even know Nicole left the country and Holly moved out? Lol.

I swear they hate their own show and their own dwindling fans. I hate to feel stupid for watching the show everyday, caring this much, and even discussing it with others because this Body & Soul stuff is written as not laughing with us as an audience, but at us. Like I said, I hope the actors enjoy playing it at least.

I don't think the idea of a soap within a soap is bad. I like Kate/Abe working together, I like Johnny being a part of it, I even don't mind Leo writing it. It's the fact that Ron & co think it's the most hilarious idea anyone's ever had and they are so clever. It makes me feel like they are making fun of their own audience and soaps are so silly and dumb.

I just hope the actors are at least enjoying themselves with this whole Body & Soul stuff. I find it painful. A little humor can go a long way. An entire episode about it with some Ava/Stefan/Gabi added in? Way too much.

Donna doesn't need to exist in the first place. We can keep her and sacrifice Violet though. IIRC, they didn't show the love scene between Roman/Marlena. Roman just said that they were together later on. So hopefully she did shower in between, but she definitely went through the entire anniversary party without showering or changing her clothes lol.

Yeah, I get why they named their kid Donna in tribute. I just don't no how many people are currently naming their kids Donna. If the little girl wasn't so adorable I'd move to kill her off. I would agree Theresa is much more common at least. I have met a few Jeannie's in my life, but they were much older than me lol. I think technically Belle was supposed to be conceived on the plane since it was the same night as Roman/Marlena's anniversary and Marlena was with both men. I just think through the years the show has changed it to the conference room table because that was the more scandalous and memorable of the two hookups.

I have bigger problems with Belle as a character than her name for sure🤣 Belle just seems like a childish name, which was fine when she was a child, but is kind of silly for an adult. I always assumed the show would transition back into calling her Isabella. The show at least had the smarts to stop calling Shawn "Shawn-D" at some point. Tate is at least a name that I have heard and is fairly trendy. It just reminds me of tater tots like I said. I think Jeannie vs. Theresa is a pretty lateral name change. They are both kind of outdated? Although I don't know if Jeannie was even current in 1988. They slept together on the Titan jet and on a conference room table at Titan. Two separate events spread out over a few weeks. I don't think Marlena ever specified where Belle was conceived. lol. I think the conference room table just gets brought up more often because of Sami.

So I have actually thought about how dumb the name Belle is to me. Not Isabella. That's a pretty name, but I guess Days was really feeling Beauty and the Beast in 1993. I know that's not your point, but I think it's a silly name. Along the lines of Tate. I always want to call him Tator-Tot. But, hey, his mother thought upgrading to Theresa from Jeannie was less dated so there's no taste there. 😂

I guess? He was pretty Blandy McBlanderson to me, but I do love TC (RIP). The only Nik recast I kind of liked was the known con man Coltin Scott or whatever his name is now.😂

She was conceived on a conference room table. Kidnapped and nearly sold on the black market by her own sister. Ruined families..... I really wish she wasn't as boring as she is.

Yeah. I know some people like her and Nik, but I was pretty uninspired by that pairing. Ava just feels like she would dominant the character of Nikolas regardless of who was playing him.

It makes no sense. I suppose ELR might have been offered a lot and an MB pairing, but it's a pretty thankless role. Frank clearly doesn't listen to me and my posts, but if we are going to hire MW, CW, and ELR just to get their shot at Mo then the show is better off just paying Vanessa and calling it a day.

Ugh...I can't stand MM. She looks the part and is a decent actress, but she's so blah in the role. She comes off matronly? I guess, but Belle is also slutty and MM barely has chemistry with anyone. I would have recast years ago. I can tolerate BB a bit more because he does seems like he tries and I think I have much higher hopes for John/Marlena's affair baby than I do for Shawn-D. @Liberty Citymoved the post over. We are in a GH thread, but I pretty much openly disdain MM and BB's takes on the roles. I think they are both horrible casting that Days just keeps around for whatever reason when they feel like it. I do think it's insane we can't cast iconic characters like BELLE and SHAWN-D.

That's an interesting thought. I really liked ORK in the role of Claire. And, I mean, Days can't even write for Shawn/Belle, the children of the two greatest supercouples on the show. I don't have high hopes. But I am sure Lexi can land a few Hallmark movies or something lol.

Ha! I really enjoyed Kristina/Ethan. I saw them as a pairing that could grow-like Jason/Robin. Someday Kristina would grow up and snag the guy she had a crush on when she was a teen. But Ethan is a non-entity and Kristina prefers women now so the dream is dead.😂
