  1. What makes her a legacy character to you? She randomly became Alexis's daughter when Sam was 30 plus. Molly and Kristina are legacy characters to me because they were born on screen and basically grew up on screen. Sam isn't? She's a retcon daughter that came up out of the blue. Truly not being argumentative because I agree she's a long time vet. I just wouldn't call her a legacy character.
  2. If it was up to me I would have cut KeMo/Sam way, way, way before 2016. I think DWTS gave her new life plus Frons or whoever really liked her and her wacky JaSam fans have carried her for years. Sam has no story, she reacts to other peoples lives, the show isn't invested in Dante/Sam, and it seems clear she or SBu aren't interested in JaSam, so what's left? Especially when you are bringing Lulu back. Sam becomes pretty expendable.
  3. I would hire Hartley full time myself. I can also see the idea of just killing Sam off because she hasn't done anything for years. Why spend money on Hartley walking around talking to people and having no story? It's clear the character was spent. I probably would have had Sam leave town, but then she's taking her kids which I suppose have potential storylines.
  4. Can't say I am sorry about this. Feel bad for Monaco I suppose. Sam hasn't been useful.........ever. She does have a lot a diehard fans though.
  5. Oh, I wasn't thinking Gio had a voice coach or anything. Just adapting to his surroundings at a private school all his life. And we don't know if his mom was originally from Brooklyn. Lois clearly grew up around people who constantly used the accent and slang. And was very proud of that so I have no idea why she'd want to lose it. In the most minor example I grew up in the Midwest and had a Midwest accent. I moved to California at 16. I don't have a Midwest accent at all anymore. Not on purpose or to try. I just naturally adjusted to the way other people spoke around me.
  6. I swear Aaron mentioned his parents after the strike about camp. First he said he'd have to clear it with his brother, so I did think he lived with him, but then he talked about his parents in a different episode so I wasn't sure. It's a minor detail and I could be wrong though lol. I mean, Tate knew and told Holly pretty casually and she seemed to already be aware, so I don't think it's a huge secret.
  7. Perhaps? It's a sad state when the only use for Vanessa/Brenda is to usher Mo off though.
  8. I don't think Mo/Vanessa/Rena having an event for GH weekend means much. They all seem to be very good friends IRL and know the event would have a decent fan draw. It doesn't take a lot of effort to do a fan event and Vanessa does seem to really appreciate her fans. I personally don't think they were ever going to write Mo out completely. If they were Brenda/Sonny would be the obvious, easy option. Have Sonny leave with her, but leave it open to come back. IMO, there are many obvious ways to mention Brenda by name with the Deception and Jagger stuff. They don't. She's sometimes very vaguely referenced. This is probably the best time in the last decade for Brenda to come back and there doesn't seem to be much interest. Basically,, I think MB needs or wants are separate from any sort of Brenda come back. It would be FV's last available option.
  9. Wow, I never considered Holly and Tate to be geniuses or even smart, but c'mon! Holly has a car, Tate had a minor injury, they couldn't have gone to an urgent care or a hospital in the next town over? I know they had to get caught so I get that. It would have been better if Maggie caught on or Sophia told on them. It came down to them just being really dumb lol. But...Brady is Tate's father and is also quite dumb. The whole stolen car story? WTF? It wasn't even believable. Why wouldn't he just report the car stolen days ago? Kristen taking it was a twist I wasn't expecting though. And nice to see Marlena pop up mid episode. Paul Telfer continues to be really awesome in this story. I never thought much of him, but he really has grown as an actor through the years.
  10. I know! What a diss to John and Shane! I am pretty sure it was the actor flubbing the line. Sometimes Eric Martsolf will say John instead of Dad when he's talking to other characters. It's rare, but he's done it more than once and either his line said that and he didn't correct it or just screwed up and they leave it in. Oh, Days😂
  11. So overall the show did make me suspect Mark was raising Aaron/Felicity but I swear there were scenes where Aaron talked about his parents in the present tense. With the whole camp thing Aaron said he had to run it by his brother, but then said he had to tell his parents in a different episode. Probably just lazy writing lol. Like when Tate referred to Roman as his grandfather more than once lol.
  12. I personally thought Mansi's graveyard scenes were a bit much. It was very OTT. KM has pretty much done a great job otherwise so I just chalked it up to a bad choice in the moment. I do see what people are saying about Mansi not making Kristina likeable. Like @titan1978 said SJB's Carly was a master at walking that line between selfish but still rootable. I think Mansi needs to infuse a bit more vulnerability into her performances. I still think she's doing a very good job-just missing the mark sometimes.
  13. I would agree that it was the crowning jewel of the last 30 years. It had lasting affects and consequences that played out through years and generations. I would also agree it's a very understandable affair. There weren't any villains or bad people. Just three decent people put in extraordinarily difficult circumstances. No one ever got to resolve their feelings after the Tale of Two Romans. No one fell out of love. Everyone just tried to do what was best until they couldn't anymore.
  14. I think the correct answer is the plane too. I've always thought/heard that as well. I just think the show changed it over the years, like you said, because the conference room table is more dramatic, more memorable, and easier to explain the Sami of it all. Days has put an insane amount of emphasis on the John/Marlena affair over the years lol.
  15. PSTD! Thanks! I knew he was in Turkey because that's where Sonny 'adopted' random street kid Dev lol. I think Dustin was Joss's teacher too? The only reason I even mildly remember Dustin is because he started out as a bit of a day player like FV liked to do with his OLTL buddies sometimes and then he just randomly kept reappearing until I realized he was an actual character on the show. He seemed like just a regular nice guy. I guess they dumped Lawson when they fired Rylan. I am going to assume there was a head writing change during that time, but I am too lazy to look it up.
  16. Lulu was dating Dustin played by Mark Lawson. I think he was a teacher. I think he was going to propose to Lulu, but he died in the explosion at the Floating Rib. He sort of reminds of Josh Kelly and I can't recall much about him. DZ had left the show and then returned not too long before Lulu's accident. He was all brainwashed in Turkey or whatever that story was. lol
  17. I think even if it the premise was a movie or a tv show and not a soap it could work. Say Kate optioned one of Will's scripts and decided to make it into a movie or a show. You could basically have the same people work on the show/movie without it being on the nose goofy. You'd lose Leo in the equation because there'd be no need for a writer and half the dialogue because it's mostly jokes. I think all of us would be fine with that.
  18. They got a partial license plate number for the car from video surveillance. Jada was running matches today thus leading her to Brady Holly/Sarah are related. Holly is her niece.
  19. I am talking about the woman on the left in this picture. DM is on the far right.
  20. No, the host named Pearl. I looked her up and her name is Andy Page.
  21. I just hope they don't do another racist Asian trope where her parents are super strict.
  22. And the new "host" was honestly scary looking lol. I don't know what was going on with her face.
  23. The Deception stuff was a weird informercial in the middle of good drama lol. The Lois I know wouldn't even care if someone didn't like her accent IMO. She was always very secure. Otherwise, great show!
  24. It would have been much more natural to just say Holly was his brother's prom date and Holly could have explained it if Sarah wanted to know more. It was creepy Mark was that invested lol. I am hoping we learn more about her and her life. I'd be mad at Tate/Holly if I was Sophia too, but it's a pretty extreme reaction to try to destroy Holly and her relationship. They were bff for years, right? And Sophia just had a crush on Tate. Teenagers are ridiculous though, so maybe that's normal lol.
  25. I am pretty sure Xander brought Victoria to Sarah the other day. It was strange Dr. Mark Greene went on and on about Holly/Aaron's prom date. Like Sarah cares. Weird for a grown man to shame a stupid teenage girl about something Aaron didn't even care about and was low stakes, petty drama.
