  1. I sacrificed part of my sanity to watch the newest Hunter Tylo podcast... so I can update you guys. I'll try to be brief. I one sentence - It was the same stuff she said in the last few ones, at this point it's talking in circles and repeating what she already said in the previous podcasts. 🐍 In more words. - She seems to have a distorted view of what soap operas are supposed to be... What I get from her long monologues is that she wants these shows to be good examples for behavior, morality and spirituality, to have the characters do good things (I am interested how anyone would define this), she is very sensitive to anything that may be too antagonistic or perceived as immoral and etc. She believes that these shows affect people on this very profound level and can influence their every-day life. So she thinks we have to be more responsible and not show bad examples. Well... okay, I assume there is an audience for a show full of good hearts and souls that do nothing wrong... but I don't know if it's enough to sustain a soap opera. Maybe... I could see her vibe fitting in... is children's stories show or some kind of spiritual themed stuff. I don't know. But dramatic soap operas, especially in 2025... will completely die... if someone cleans all the mess and the immoral stuff. Who wants to watch "Let us teach you how to be a good Samaritan"-type of stories? Who the hell needs this? Again... I'm not saying that there are not people who like these types of stuff, but life is FULL of immoral situations, full of scandals and problems and people cheating, lying, being drunk, killing each-other and etc. You can't escape this, you can't just hide from it. I also believe that these shows are entertainment and we can't expect them to be life lessons or examples... On the other hand... I agree with her... that the boring love triangles are too much and too stupid, but I also don't want to be preached by these Holier than thou characters... and I think that's what we would have gotten if it was up to her. That brings me to another point that I'm getting is that... she has said many times now that she had problems with this in the script or that... and she called Bradley for this monologue or for that scene and the examples are just too much. I'm sorry, I was an actor too... and if anyone from my colleagues started trying to control the writing or had problems with it all the time... it will just be impossible to work. Don't get me wrong - I don't think that anyone would be OK with Brad's writing and she probably was RIGHT and I would agree with her... but if you just ignore the fact that it's Bradley Bell... then you get an impossible situation. Nobody wants to work with people like this, that's the cold harsh reality of the business. No producer, head writer wants a soap actress constantly unhappy with her material and wanting to change it. They would just fire them. It's sad, yes... and probably she could have even elevated the quality of the writing if they allowed it... but in the end of the day... she is not the writer. That's it. Bold doesn't need Hunter Tylo correcting the writing or... anyone else. BOLD NEEDS A NEW WRITER. PERIOD. Not an actress. A WRITER. 🐍 Some other interesting bits was her telling stories about crazy fans and people who can't tell the difference between her and the character of Taylor. One time a lady approached her and told her something like - You need to go, hurry up, because Brooke is at Ridge's door at this moment and she's trying to seduce him. LOL. Or something like that. I enjoy hearing stories like these, because it reminds me how crazy the fan community can be at times and what kind of delusional people are watching the shows sometimes. Thank God they are a minority... but I've met people like this and it's a whole another level of crazy. Sadly they frequent forums too. P.S I'm starting to wonder what Hunter wants at this point. These podcasts are very repetitive. I wonder what this will lead to. Will she be starting her own channel-podcast soon... or something... We'll see.
  2. I wish that too.. if only we would hear one of these days that that man retired...
  3. Today this error comes up way too much. Not the usual 2-3 times a day.
  4. This sounds like the best case scenario. I can live with that. I hope these pauses are benign situation that will be resolved come next season.
  5. I agree on every point. The potential of momentum-killing of a brand new show, the first soap in decades... makes me apprehensive when I hear they are going to be doing the encore again. What are they going to rerun this time? The first encore was tolerated, mostly because of the fact that it was the premiere week. That could draw people in automatically, since it's something they can start from scratch. Now... we are heading for part two of the experiment and I wonder if they have a strategy of which episodes to choose. If it's not the premiere week... it won't be that striking and attention-grabbing. But they can't continue repeating that week all year long, so it's out of the question. Why do I care so much about this? - I care, not only because I want Gates to succeed and thrive... but I want the genre to survive and maybe even get a new show in the future. That's why the commercial success of the first new soap opera in such a long time... is kind of important to me. It's my last hope of my favorite genre living on and opening the door to new soaps. (Something I believe is possible if BTG is a success in the future.) I'm not panicking yet... quite the contrary, but if I see these encores start to ruin the momentum and lead to lower ratings in the following weeks after them... then I'll be reacting differently. Right now... I'm just watching it carefully.
  6. At least they should announce these freaking reruns in a more public way this time. Don't make people get the surprise on Monday again...
  7. Don't like the outfit... but my God... her face card still puts people half her age to shame. Love her. Thank you @dragonflies ❤️
  8. It lost 500 thousand... or like one third. That to me is HUGE. And when a show loses momentum like that... and people start forgetting where they were and what was going on... or when the new episodes are coming back... people tune out. And I haven't said you think it's good idea. I'm saying I don't think it is. If they want they could continue repeating the first week till it's 100 000 left new ones who haven't watched it... but it's bizarre and counter-productive IMO.
  9. https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/69198-article-soap-opera-ratings-report-for-the-week-of-june-30-july-4-2025/#comment-2039094 The show was almost half a million viewers down in total viewership during the week of reruns. If you call that fairly well... ok... but in my opinion it was not a good idea.
  10. Somehow I can't make myself to watch this show anymore. I really don't have the time or the energy for it. Last thing I saw was the Luna-Will stuff and I'm done for now. I'm seeing lots of people online in a similar situation, fans who are willingly sharing they don't want to watch anymore and I don't blame them. And yeah, it's not like it was Shakespearian or Dostoevsky before... but these past few weeks the show has turned into a dark, ugly mess. Unwatchable mess. I find you guys' comments the only thing I can bear connected to the show. I'll probably tune back in to see the new sets. P.S We have a brand new, fresh out of the oven Hunter Tylo interview-podcast... this time on a different channel. Not the religious one. At this point... I personally can't bear to listen to it, but I'm just sharing it here for anyone who has the free time. I will update myself with it in the coming days.
  11. RERUNS...?! Now wait a minute... I hope to God CBS is not deliberately trying to ruin BTG's ratings. What the hell is going on? As I recall... the last time they did reruns... we saw a huge drop. The show is just 6 months old. They shouldn't do experiments this early in the game. I don't like this one bit.
  12. I assume you guys saw this? This is beyond shocking, disturbing and evil.
  13. The dishwasher finally works!
  14. What a fu-cking day to get our dishwasher clogged and it won't suck the water up. SUCH drama all day long.
  15. Seeing Bold getting topped by any other soap is music to my ears. Especially in the key demos. That kind of disgusting amateur-hour writing shouldn't be enabled by good ratings. Thank you for the article, @Errol ❤️
  16. Up to July 24th, 1992. 🔷 "Homophobia is alive and well... in Llanview..." Bear with me. I have so much to unpack. 🔷 So what is going on right now? Let me say one thing first. I'm having some minor issues with the show at this moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm not that bothered, but I can't just say the positives only. Most of the storylines work, while some characters are seemingly lost. 🔷 WHAT WORKS 1. Andrew vs the town's hate mob. It shocks me how current and real this story sounds even today. The lie turned rumor has now turned into a public humiliation spectacle. A mob trying to destroy an innocent man. He is giving Christ-like undertones at times. Even after Billy FINALLY denied the rumor, the aggression and the homophobia are just getting started. From receiving disgusting messages that have words I can't even write down... to demonic Marty writing down threats to Cassie and sending them anonymously. The whole town has gone crazy. At least one positive thing happened - Billy's mother, who I feel is slowly realizing what he son may be... voted to keep Andrew. 2. Leanne vs Kevin... It's not some groundbreaking stuff, of course, but it works. Kevin, with the help of Asa... is preparing a smear campaign to humiliate Leanne with her past, get a divorce under the cause of "adultery" and ultimately persuade the judge to give him full custody of Duke. Oh, I almost forgot - Duke IS Kevin's child. The test proved it, as I expected. Now the divorce proceedings have begun and all the dirt is coming to the surface. Some of it real, some of it - completely fabricated by Asa and Kevin. Victoria was once again the voice of reason - she tried to talk Kevin out of taking Leanne's child away from her. I get her point of view. But I also sympathize with Kevin... Leanne tricked him... lied to him and she deserves to get what's coming. 3. Sloan and Victoria... Sloan finally confided in Victoria about his terminal condition... and she encouraged him to seek a second opinion. I'll repeat myself - these two's have insane chemistry. I don't know what the future holds, but this is one of the storylines I'm most interested it. It would be so unexpected if Victoria ends up violating her marriage vows to her husband. She has been such a saint so far... this will completely shatter that picture-perfect image and prove that she is human after all. I love it. 4. Blair vs Asa... Blair's struggle to live with Asa and somehow NOT have sex with him is driving her wild. The old goat is trying every single moment he is alone with her... And hearing how Blair has not been feeling well the past few days... I'm wondering - IS SHE PREGNANT?!!! Is she actually pregnant with Max's child?!! This will be a repeat of Leanne's storyline... which they corrected with the child being Kevin's... but still... it will be interesting. And sort of karmic - Asa stole Max's father's fortune... now maybe Max's son can steal Asa's fortune in the future. We'll see. 🔷 WHAT DOESN'T WORK 1. The Cleopatra idiocy... Alex and Carlo's double... are vomit-inducing. Yikes. They are so cartoonish, so over the top, so not fitting to a show of this caliber when it comes to the writing. All of it is happening in the most unrealistic way possible, Alex is so fake when she talks with Mortimer about the museum security details. It's so obvious she plans to steal the jewels. I find myself thinking - why the hell am I watching this when the show has so much good stuff going on at the same time? 2. Who is Luna Moody? I'm going to say it. Luna is not an organic character. She was forced on us and continues to be. I mean... how absurd... that some eccentric woman just happens to parachute in the show one day and is then... instantly installed in the character list without any reason for her to be there. First she was Tina's crutch when they were writing Tina rebelling against Cord, then she was Max's helper-sidekick... now what is she? A famous radio host? Just like that? Because that's a soap opera and these things just happen, right? OK, I appreciate they've toned down the idiotic comedy moments and now she is more tolerable... but again... I can't bond with someone who is not an organic character. They are lucky I don't fast-forward her scenes. 3. Tina and Cain need to be written off. ASAP. Please do us a favor and get rid of them. They are like Scooby Doo characters. Not funny at all. Again, why do we need them in this overcrowded show... when they don't do anything that meaningful. Now their current fiasco is to steal the jewels and frame Alex for it... but all of it is done so foolishly. I think they (the writers) want to have a lighter comedic side to the show... to contrast the INCREDIBLY dark Andrew-Billy storyline... but it just doesn't mix well. You go from a father dying (Sloan) and a man being accused of being a child molester... to cartoons laughing around dressed like thieves and Alex doing her Cruella Devil act. I get a whiplash from the contrast. The show needs to cut the bad parts and keep the good. Still I'm loving it so much, that I can't stop watching. P.S We had the surprise visit from Reba McEntire who looks like she is related to Luna (she is her friend from the past). She sang a beautiful song dedicated to Asa from Renee... and it was just wonderful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Queen Victoria fights for justice against mob mentality and homophobia. One of the best scenes of the show so far. ddddddddddd.mp4
  17. She actually looks a lot like a "Tina" now as I think about it. Thanks for this little bit.
  18. I just saw this. Thank you!
  19. 😂 As Dorian put it couple of episodes ago (commenting on the "A" necklace) - "One can never be too vulgar!" ❤️
  20. All work and no play!
