    PART 1
    HARBOR CLUB - Donna gets out of the car amongst wailing sirens. She runs to go in, but a tall, heavy set uniformed man stops her.
    Man: You can’t go in there ma’am.
    Donna: What the hell are you talking about? This is MY club!
    Man: We managed to put the fire out, but you might wanna call your insurance company. This looks like a total loss.
    Donna: How could this have happened? Everything is up to code.
    Man: I don’t know exactly what could’ve occurred, but from my experience, this looks like it was deliberate.
    Donna swings her hand to clear the smoke from in front of her face.
    Donna: So someone set my club on fire?
    Man: Very possible.
    Allen looks around, and walks up to Donna.
    Allen: What the?
    Donna: It is what it looks like. My club has been burned to ashes, and someone did this.
    Allen: I came to get something for Amanda and I see this. Do they have any idea who?
    Donna: No, but I bet it’s the same person who sent me the gun, and texted me.
    Donna gives Allen a look.
    Allen: Wait a minute, you don’t think that…?
    Donna: How do I know that? How do I know YOU aren’t the one who did this?

    MEETING ROOM - Michael, Matt, Paulina, and Amanda are sitting at a rectangular table.
    Amanda: The gang’s almost here.
    Paulina: Still waiting on our dear old hag of a sister. I went to see her earlier.
    Amanda: Are you serious? Why did you do that?
    Paulina: I thought I could convince her to do the right thing and go back on her demands.
    Amanda: Let me guess...she caved.
    Paulina: Like the Rocky Mountains. She didn’t budge.
    Matt: Hey Michael are you ready?
    Michael: As soon as Iris and Judge Anderson arrive, we’ll get this underway.
    Judge Anderson walks in fully robed and sits at the head of the table.
    Michael: Hello your honor.
    Judge Anderson: Are we ready?
    Amanda: We’re just waiting for…
    All turn their attention to the door to Iris, who is wearing a big, white hat, and a white power suit. She sashays to her chair, and sits adjacent to Michael, who is sitting at the other head of the table.
    Iris: I see everyone’s here, so what are we waiting for?

    STACEY’S APARTMENT - Vicky confronts Stacey
    Stacey: What is wrong with you?
    Vicky: I know what you told my husband, and you better stay the hell away from him!
    Stacey: So Jake told you?
    Vicky: He doesn’t keep anything from me.
    Stacey: Too bad you don’t return the favor.
    Vicky: You don’t worry about my marriage!
    Stacey: Someone’s gotta show some concern, because when Jake finds out what you know, it’s gonna be over.
    Vicky: I don’t think so!

    Allen: Have you lost your mind?
    Donna: You are the only one besides Vicky who knows that I shot Reginald, and Vicky wouldn’t do this.
    Allen: Of course I didn’t do this. I didn’t send you the gun, and I didn’t burn down the Harbor Club.
    Donna: Look I’m sorry. I’m just at a loss as to who could be behind all of this.
    Allen: You need to call the police.
    Donna: We can’t involve them. They’ll start asking questions.
    Allen: Maybe we can use them to find out who’s doing this to you.
    MEANWHILE, in a motel room, Joy removes her black gloves, and flashes back to splashing gas at the Harbor Club and lighting a match to it. Then she makes a phone call…
    Joy: Boss, it’s done.

    Judge Anderson: According to Mackenzie Cory’s will, the eldest child, is given control of Cory Publishing, which is now Cory Productions. Michael Hudson, I have documents proving that you are Mackenzie Cory’s eldest child.
    Michael: That’s correct your honor.
    Judge Anderson: I will make a ruling once you announce your decision and all parties agree.
    Michael stands up to address everyone.
    Michael: In the spirit of what our father wanted, which is that he wanted all of us to share in the company he built, so among all of his children, I have decided to divide the company equally five ways. Among Amanda, Paulina, Matthew, Sandy, twenty five percent each.
    Paulina: Great decision. Nothing for Iris.
    Amanda: What about Brava?
    Michael: I’m getting to that. I have also decided that Iris, and I, will each own fifty percent of Brava Magazine, print and web, but that Iris will run the entire operation.
    Matt: Michael, you don’t want any of Cory Productions?
    Michael: No.
    Iris suddenly stands up.
    Iris: I don’t want it.
    Amanda: What do you mean? You’ll be running Brava. I don’t agree with it at all, but I think it’s more than fair.
    Iris: I want nothing to do with Brava, and I don’t want any part of Cory Productions.
    Paulina: This is a bunch of crap.
    Judge Anderson: ORDER! Iris are you sure that this is what you want?
    Iris: Yes your honor. It is my decision to pull out of the company completely. Brava belongs to Cory.
    Judge Anderson: So I will make it official in accordance with the decision of Mac Cory’s eldest child, so twenty five percent for Matthew, Paulina, Amanda, and Sandy Cory.
    The judge bangs his gavel and leaves. Everyone prepares to leave, but Iris stops them.
    Iris: Aren’t you all wondering why I just gave up my part of Cory?
    Paulina: I knew there was something else to this.
    Matt: What is it Iris?
    Iris: I don’t need it. I’m tired of fighting for daddy’s company. I want my OWN company. I want to build my OWN empire, and now I have the means to do it.
    Michael: Now I’m curious.
    Paulina: She’s bluffing.
    Iris: This is far from a posture Paulina. I think I’ll call my sister Amanda to confirm it for you all.
    Matt: Now I think you’ve lost your mind.
    Michael: Amanda's right here.
    Iris: I’m not talking about Amanda Cory. I’m talking about Amanda Spaulding.
    Amanda: The Spauldings in Springfield?
    Paulina: I knew you were full of hot air!
    Iris: Looks like you’re the one who’s getting warm sis. Well in fact, now I have two sisters named Amanda.
    Michael: What are you saying?
    Iris: I...am Brandon Spaulding’s biological daughter.

    Stacey: You’re not in control here Vicky!
    Vicky: It wasn’t enough for you to move heaven and earth to take Mikey away from my parents twenty five years ago, now you wanna take my husband. You were going around telling people that you came to Bay City to be close to your daughter, when in fact, you came to go after JAKE!
    Stacey: I didn’t at first, but I told you about Lindsay. I told you he was her father, and you kept it from him. He deserves so much better than that. He deserves better than YOU!
    Vicky: And you’re gonna be there to pick up the pieces if our marriage falls apart. You’re just gonna run to Jake, tell him that Lindsay’s his daughter, and voila, you’re one big happy family. You’re a delusional bitch. You don’t even have any proof.
    Stacey: As a matter of fact, Vicky, I do.
    Stacey holds up to pieced-together DNA test that she found in Lindsay’s wastebasket, horrifying Vicky.
    Vicky: What is that?
    Stacey: A DNA test, a 99.9% match between Lindsay and Jake’s DNA.
    Vicky: Give me that!
    Stacey: No!
    Vicky and Stacey begin to tussle for the paper.
    Vicky: GIVE IT TO ME YOU BITCH!
    They roll on the floor, both fighting for control of the DNA test. They both lose control of the proof, and it floats over toward the door, just as Lindsay, Jake, and Bridget walk in, and Jake picks up the paper. Lindsay is shocked as she immediately knows what it is.
    Vicky: Jake gimme the paper!
    Jake’s mouth is open in shock…
    Bridget: Dad what’s going on?
    Jake looks back and forth at Vicky, Lindsay, and Stacey, and he shakes his head in disbelief, and then slowly approaches Vicky.
    Jake: This can’t be.
    Stacey: Yes Jake, it’s true. Isn’t it Vicky?
    Jake: Vicky? You knew about this? No...no you didn’t know already that I was Lindsay’s father did you? ANSWER ME!
    Vicky (eyes welling up): YES! I knew.

    Mitch and Felicia share a romantic evening together. Felicia lies in Mitch's arms as they stare at the fireplace.
    Mitch: You know we should have done this sooner.
    Felicia: Done what?
    Mitch: Gotten back together.
    Felicia: I agree. Long overdue.
    Mitch: I always loved you. I wonder if I could say the same for you when weren't together.
    Felicia lifts her head and looks at Mitch.
    Felicia: Oh..and what am I supposed to say to that.
    Mitch: I already know the answer.
    Felicia: Is that right?
    Mitch: After we were married, there was Alexander Nikos, and Sergei.
    Felicia laughs out loud and lies back on Mitch's chest.
    Felicia: Sergei! That was totally a marriage of convenience.
    Mitch: You didn't love them like you love me.
    Felicia: You're so sure of that huh?
    Mitch: Yep.
    Felicia: Prove it to me.
    Mitch plants a kiss on Felicia.

    Cass is texting on his cell phone, and walking in, and he bumps into a familar person...Frankie.

    Cass: I was just texting back and forth with Charlie.

    Cass: She loves it. You know I didn't want her to go away to school.
    Frankie: You and she were always close.
    Cass: Hey I'm...going to see to see her this weekend. Wanna come?

    Paulina opens the door.
    Paulina: Grant. What are you doing here?
    Grant: I was in the neighborhood and I decided to stop by.
    Paulina: Oh really?
    Grant: May I come in?
    Paulina (reluctantly): Sure.

    Mitch and Felicia lie in bed after having made love.
    Felicia: Have you talked to Matt?
    Mitch: Matt and Jasmine are having a grand old time in New York.
    Felicia: When is he bringing her here?
    Mitch: He hasn't mentioned coming to Bay City.
    Felicia: We can go visit them.
    Mitch: You know I don't wanna push. The relationship between Matt and I is just thawing out. He thinks of Mac as his father.
    Felicia: Honey you can't keep kicking yourself for not being there for Matt. I mean look at me and Lorna. We weren't always close.
    Mitch: It's not exactly the same. I just take every thing as it comes you know. I don't try to get more than I'm given.
    Felicia: He's your son, and Jasmine is your granddaughter. You owe it to yourself to be close to them. Have you checked in on Rachel?
    Mitch: Not in the last couple of days.
    Felicia: I think it's great that you're there for her and the kids. Especially since Carl passed away.

    Grant: I owe it to you.
    Paulina: You don't owe us anything.
    Grant: I've treated you so badly over the years. I feel horrible about what happened with Joe.
    Paulina: My God Grant, for the last time, it is NOT your fault. Stop blaming yourself for his death.
    Grant: If I hadn't been so hell bent on getting that Senate seat...
    Paulina: Joe's job was to protect you, and he took a bullet in the process. I understand that it was part of his job. While I appreciate you checking in on me and Dante, it's not necessary okay. We're fine, and I don't blame you for my husband's death....so stop blaming yourself...okay?

    Frankie: I'm...not sure if Charlie wants to see me.
    Cass: Frankie you've got to break the ice. Deep down Charlie loves you, and she needs her mother.

    Cass takes a deep breath, knowing that Frankie's statement may partly be true.
    Cass: If you hadn't stayed away, Fax Newman would've tried to finish you off. We all had to think that you were dead until the police captured him.
    Frankie: Matt, Joe and Rachel saved my life. I think Charlie understands that I was in danger. What she doesn't understand is that you and I are not back together.
    Cass: Frankie...
    Frankie: I found out that Fax was shot to death by Gary, so I did come back to town...under an assumed name.
    Cass: Anne O'Donnell. That was you?
    Frankie: I had to see for myself how you were doing. You and Charlie had moved on. You fell in love with Lila. You got married. I had no place in your lives anymore.
    Cass moves closer to his ex-wife.
    Cass: That's simply not true Frankie. You are Charlie's mother. I'm always going to love you.
    Frankie: And I'm always going to love you, too Cass, but we're different now. We're not the same people who fell in love all those years ago, and we can't get together because Charlie wants it.
    Cass: But we love each other. Why can't we give it a try?
    Frankie: I'm not in love with you anymore. In my heart I've moved on.

    Toni (giving it to Jack): This came for you at the desk.
    Jack opens and reads the envelope contents…
    Toni: K.C. is coming to town and I was wondering if I could get some time off.
    Jack doesn’t respond as he continues to read the envelope contents…
    Toni: She’s gonna look at enrolling in school here and I just wanted to take her around. I also saw a blue pig flying over the station.
    Jack: Oh. What did you say?
    Toni: Hmm whatever you’re reading has got your attention doesn’t it?
    Jack (taking out his cell phone): Carly wants a separation.
    Before Jack can dial, he sees a text from Sage that reads “Why is Grant Harrison talking to mom?”
    Jack: I’ll be back.

    LOVE MANSION-Donna opens the door and Allen walks in.
    Donna: We have to talk.

    Tyrone (gathering papers): Just give me a minute. I’ll be right with you Ms. Harper.
    Tyrone turns around and is shocked as he faces the client.
    Tyrone: My God. Joy?
    Joy (smiling): I’ll wait.

    GRANT’S HOUSE - Grant opens the door and Jack walks in.
    Grant: I don’t believe I invited you in.
    Jack: Why the hell did you go to Milltown?
    Grant: Is that any way to talk to your future boss?
    Jack: You haven’t been officially named mayor yet and you’re avoiding my question.
    Grant: I’m concerned about Carly and the state of your marriage, apparently more than you are.
    Jack: My marriage is none of your business, and you stay away from my wife.
    Grant: Let me ask you something, detective. Do you really think it’s right for you to be getting close to Paulina while your marriage is falling apart?
    Jack: I don’t have to explain the nature of my relationship with Paulina to you.
    Grant: So it IS a relationship.
    Jack: I will protect Paulina from you.
    Grant: You think you’re so perfect, so righteous, so upstanding. EVERYONE’S got secrets, even you. I care about Paulina, and I don’t want to see her get hurt.
    Jack: The only person that’s gonna hurt her is you, and I’m gonna make sure that you don’t.
    Grant: YOU are the one that Paulina needs to be protected from!
    Jack: You better stay away from my family, and Paulina, because you don’t want to deal with me. I learned a few things when I worked for James Stenbeck, and I have no problem applying them when it comes to you.
    Grant: And that’s supposed to intimidate me?
    Jack walks out and Grant smiles.
    Grant: You have no idea what I have in store for you.

    Tyrone: What are you doing back in Bay City?
    Joy: It’s a free country.
    Tyrone: What are you doing here Joy?
    Joy notices a picture of Tyrone and Marley on his desk. Tyrone sits down back at his desk.
    Joy: How are you and Marley doing?
    Tyrone: Stronger than ever.
    Joy: I know it wasn’t always that way, especially when you and I were together.
    Tyrone: It’s in the past...ancient history.
    Joy: It’s a shame that you look at it that way. That time was the most...eye opening experience I ever had.
    Joy slowly walks behind Tyrone, and bends down...
    Joy (whispering in Tyrone’s right ear): And I’m sure it was the same for you. Don’t you miss it? I’ll never forget what we had.
    Joy straddles Tyrone’s ear gently with one of her fingers.
    Joy: I want to continue where we left off.
    Tyrone grabs her wrist.
    Tyrone: We never had anything. It was just…
    Joy (taken aback): Sex? That’s all it was to you? It was so much more than that for me.
    Tyrone: I was wrong, Joy. I should never have gotten involved with you.
    Joy: You regret being with me? Is that what you’re saying? I never meant to cause any trouble for you.
    Tyrone: I’m sorry, but I love the life I have with my wife, and I’m not gonna put that on the line again.
    Joy: You told me you were thinking about leaving her! You had me thinking we had a future together.
    Tyrone: I made a mistake! I’m not going through that again. I don’t know what you came back here for, but you gotta stay away from me.
    Joy: Who do you think you are? You think you’re just gonna brush me off like that? What we had meant nothing to you?
    Tyrone: You gotta go, okay. Whatever you’re in Bay City for, good luck.
    Joy (eyes welling up): How could be so cavalier about this? If you’re trying to hurt me, it worked.
    Tyrone: Good-bye Joy.
    Joy: I’m gonna make you feel the same pain you are making me feel now.

    Allen: This is weird. That gun should be at the bottom of the river by now.
    Donna: And you’re sure that nobody saw you?

    Donna: I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with an idea of who might be doing this, and I can’t.
    Allen: So you’re telling me that someone actually went into the river, got the gun, and sent it to you. Why? Who could be after you?

    AT CORY PRODUCTIONS…
    Iris sits at her desk and takes out one of the CDs she received from Cory, and it’s labeled “Play me”, so she puts it in her laptop….It’s Tucker McCall.
    Tucker: Hello darlin’ if you’re watching this, I’m probably dead, or playin’ dead. I know what happened with your new and old younger brother, and I’m here to give you one last push. I gotta admit, you’re gonna have to think of something quick, because you know it’s just a matter of time. Michael is gonna request a hearing to try and getcha out, but I got all the confidence in you. I always have. You’ll come out of this smellin’ like a fresh rose. Go get em girl.
    Iris (looking up): Oh Tucker what the hell am I supposed to come up with? Michael can kick me clean out of Cory Productions, and I’m sure Matt is pushing him.
    She notices a copy of Brava Magazine on her desk and smiles.

    AT PAULINA’S…
    Dante is preparing for work.
    Paulina: Honey you didn’t finish your breakfast.
    Dante: I gotta get to the station. Can’t be late on my first day.
    Paulina: You’re gonna need all your strength and concentration so you need to eat the rest of your food. Jack will understand.
    Dante: You used to say that when I was a kid, but I’m not anymore mom.
    Paulina (sighing): You’re right. My baby’s all grown up, but I’m still your mother, and I’m not gonna stop being that.
    Dante: And I appreciate it so much. Wish me luck.
    Paulina: You’ll do great. I love you.
    Dante: Love you, too.
    Dante kisses Paulina on her cheek and walks out the door, but Paulina notices something….
    Paulina: Dante honey you forgot your bag.
    Paulina opens the door and there’s Matthew.
    Paulina: Matthew. Hi. What’s going on?
    Matthew: May we come in?
    Paulina: We? Who else is with you?
    Michael appears.
    Paulina (shocked): Oh my!

    Amanda sits at a table and flashes back to Operation Loco, and seeing Iris and Cory hug in Iris’s office. Then Allen touches Amanda’s shoulder.

    Allen: Wow, I thought I’d get a warmer reception. Something on your mind?

    Charlie: Mom was good about it. Dad? Not so much.
    Lindsay: How are they doing?
    Charlie: It seems like they’re coming together, but I don’t know what’s gonna happen after Christy Carson’s hearing today.

    CASS’S CAR - Cass is in the driver's seat with Frankie in the passenger’s seat.
    Cass: Here we are.

    Frankie (looking out the window): There’s nothing for us to discuss as far as that’s concerned.
    Cass: You didn’t say much on the way down here.
    Frankie: Cass we can’t agree on anything these days, and I don’t like it.
    Cass: Do you think I’m enjoying this? I went to see her yesterday. She hasn’t changed at all. She’s still as conniving as she ever was.
    Frankie: We’d better get in the courtroom or we’re gonna be late.

    INSIDE PAULINA’S HOUSE...
    Paulina: Michael? What? When?
    Michael: Long story. I promise I’ll explain to you later.

    Michael: Donna knows, but my daughters don’t. I don’t want them to until this is over.
    Paulina: Til what’s over?
    Matthew: Getting Iris out of Cory Productions.
    Paulina: I’m all for that, but what do you have to do with this Michael?
    Matthew gives Paulina the birth certificate.
    Paulina: What? You?
    Michael: I’m Mac’s eldest child.
    Paulina: Wow. This means that according to the will, you would be awarded full control of Cory, right?
    Matthew: That’s correct.
    Paulina: Wait a minute, weren’t you and Iris…
    Michael: Iris is adopted.
    Matthew: Before we schedule the hearing, we need to have your vote to get her out.
    Paulina: Hmm let’s see. Let me think about it. Okay, you’ve got it. Let’s get that bitch out of our father’s company.
    Matthew: She threatened to tie the company up in litigation for years.
    Paulina: That will is binding. She’s not gonna have a leg to stand on.
    Michael: And we need to get the hearing soon, because for some reason, I don’t think we can count her out. She’s gonna try and fight back.
    Suddenly all their cell phones chime one after the other.
    Michael: What’s this?
    Paulina (looking at her phone): From Iris?
    Matthew: She wants to meet us at her office.

    Cass: She’s not thirty either. She’s still young and she’s got her whole life ahead of her.

    The bailiff walks out to the court.
    Bailiff: All rise! The Honorable Judge Blake will be presiding over this proceeding. The State of Illinois vs. Christina Carson.
    Judge Blake takes his seat and then the side door opens, as two guards escort Christy out, and Christy makes eye contact with Cass and Frankie.

    Eric quickly stops smiling as he watches Kirkland and Charlie leave.

    Jack: I know, but this one feels different. I wonder if we’re gonna make it this time. I’m so glad you’re here for me.
    Paulina: Of course, just like you were always there for me.
    They clench hands on the top of the table, and Eric, who is hiding behind the CENTER BREW sign, snaps two pictures of them. One with Jack and Paulina sitting across from each other, and the other showing their clenched hands on top of the table.

    Gregory holds Lindsay in the bed after having made love.
    Gregory: I’m sorry.
    Lindsay: For what?
    Gregory: I haven’t been myself lately. I’ve snapped at you. We haven’t been spending a lot of time together. I don’t want you to think that I forgot about us, because I didn’t.
    Lindsay: Noooo it’s okay. I know you’re worried about Sharlene.
    Gregory: I don’t wanna lose her again. When I was little, we thought she died in an explosion. She came back thinking she was someone else. She fought her way back to us, and then my dad screwed our family up by having an affair with Felicia. I was too young to really understand what was going on, but I remember how sad my mom was.
    Lindsay: She’s very resilient.
    Gregory: It took her a long time to bounc
    e back, and she and my dad remarried, and it makes me sick to see him spending time with Felicia again.
    Lindsay: Are you sure about that?
    Gregory: I saw them in Felicia’s apartment.
    Lindsay: Gregory you’re spying on them?
    Gregory: You said that I had to get proof. Hard evidence.
    Lindsay: I just don’t want you to make a mistake. That’s a serious accusation to make.
    Gregory: My dad had my mom committed to keep Jack from arresting her.
    Lindsay: Wow. You know I’m here for you right.
    Gregory: You always have been, and it’s time that I’m here for you, and support you. I know I’ve been against you telling Jake the truth about you being his daughter. Now, I’m gonna be behind you, whatever you decide.

    Lindsay: And so I’ve decided not to say anything.

    She reaches into her nightstand, takes the DNA test out, rips it in half, and tosses it in her wastebasket.

    Christy: I know that it’s something you’ve been looking for, but that’s not all.
    Grant: I don’t think you have any idea who you’re trying to play games with.

    Amanda: I can’t get it out of my head.
    Paulina: Operation Loco.
    Amanda: Iris approved all this funding for that project before she hired me, but it’s just an usually large sum of money, and then the deposits just stopped. I don’t get it.
    Paulina: The only way you’re gonna find out is finding out where those deposits went.
    Amanda tries to access the “Loco” file on her computer…
    Amanda: What?
    Paulina: What happened?
    Amanda: The file is locked, and I’m sure only one person has the password.
    Paulina: Iris.

    Rachel goes to the door and Karen, the nurse, appears.
    Karen: Lisa’s not available.

    Lisa knocks on a door, and asks if anyone’s in there. Suddenly the door opens, and she walks in. The office is filled with dark blue strobe lights.

    Alexandra: I’ve been so preoccupied with Spaulding Enterprises, and trying to fend off and Phillip and Alan-Michael, the corporate predators that they are. I haven’t even had a second to go over and see what was in it. I promise you, as soon as I found out, I called and told you.
    Iris: This changes everything.
    Alexandra: It should help you tremendously at your upcoming hearing.
    Iris (sighing): Truer words. What would I do without you?
    Alexandra: Hopefully you’ll never find out.
    Iris’ eyes well up.

    Rachel: Karen says you’re doing great. That means we’ll be able to go home soon. Do you remember anything?
    Carl: I recall was taking a drink. The police were holding you for Reginald’s murder.

    Carl: Sharlene was talking to me.
    Rachel: No it wasn’t her.
    Carl: Was it an alter?
    Rachel: Yes
    Carl: She accused of me leaving Janice to raise Evan and Frankie alone, and then I had trouble breathing.
    Rachel: She had poisoned the liquor. I figured out that she had planted it in my sweater to make it look like I killed Reginald Love. She had an elaborate plan to destroy us.
    Carl: I wonder why her alter wanted to kill Reginald. Sounds like she was out for some type of revenge.
    Rachel: Well Sharlene is getting the help she needs, as for us, I’m looking forward to going home.
    Carl: Where am I Rachel?
    Rachel (sighing): We’re in Monticello.
    Carl: Where?

    Jake: Busy huh?

    Frankie: Someone came up to me at the Center the other day before Stacey, Lindsay and I went to get fitted for our dresses. He knew my name.

    Reginald rises out of his chair and walks up to Joy. They are now face to face.

    Joy: Your plan! You got Thomasina sick and you are the only one who can make her well!
    Reginald: Didn’t anyone teach you that everything has a cost? I mean, your mother was a prostitute right?
    Joy raises her right hand to slap him, but Reginald grabs her wrist to stop, and squeezes as Joy winces in pain.
    Reginald: If you want Thomasina to live, you better lose the attitude and complete your next task. Now get the hell out of my office!
    Joy coddles her wrist to ease the pain and as she leaves, Karen barges in with papers, and gives them to Reginald.
    Karen: Sorry to interrupt. This couldn’t wait.
    Reginald: What? How did she get a hold of this information?
    Karen: I found this in Dr. McCleary’s office. She knows the truth.
    Reginald: What?
    Karen: The plastic surgery; the drug...everything.
    Reginald: Did you stop her? Where the hell is she?
    Karen: She escaped with the patient.
    Reginald: Why did you let them get away?
    Karen: She knocked me out, but it’s like I told you before, she won’t get far.

    Cory leans in and kisses Bridget, whom he thinks is Michele because he's drunk. They both look up and Michele is standing right over them, devastated.
    Michele: What are you doing? Bridget?
    Cory: Michele. It's you. Wait? I thought...
    Michele: You thought wrong Cory. I thought you loved me.
    Cory (stands up): I do. I'm....I'm sorry. I thought...
    Michele: You're drunk! What's going on?
    Michele sees the water bottle on the table, and grabs it before Bridget can take it from her. She opens it and smells the vodka.
    Michele: No. You got drunk.
    Cory: It's just punch. Bridget gave it to me.
    Then she flashes back to Reginald sitting over her with Karen, who injects her with something.
    Karen: This will make everyone think she’s brain dead.
    Reginald: Jake and Vicky have done a horrible job raising my great-granddaughters.
    Marissa suddenly wakes up with tears, and has her last memory..

    Amanda: Did I tell you how sexy you look in that suit?
    Allen: Which one? This, or my birthday?
    Amanda (smiling): Well you know how much I love your...natural look.
    Amanda gets out of bed, walks up behind him, and rubs her hand on his shoulders and chest. She looks in the mirror along Allen’s side.
    Allen: You mean the same one that Adam had after Eve bit the apple in the…
    Amanda: Garden? Don’t kill the mood.
    Allen: Oh I’m not gonna let nobody take you away into some time machine portal.
    Amanda: You'd better not. I’d go kicking and screaming.
    Allen: So weird when you told me about that guy Jordan Stark and what he tried to do.
    Amanda: He wreaked havoc on my family. He left my daughter to die.
    Allen: I hope to meet Alli one day.
    Allen stops all freshening up…
    Amanda: You will. She’s a great girl.

    Grant: Yes. Okay.
    Grant walks to the door, opens it, and there’s Christy Carson with a baseball cap on.

    Christy: Duh. I didn’t want anyone to see me...not yet anyway.

    CORY PRODUCTIONS...Iris is packing her things in her office as she gets a surprise visitor...Cory, who knocks on the door.
    Iris: Cory. Come in.
    Cory: Guess you’re not gonna be here anymore huh?
    Iris (sighs): Nope.
    Cory: You seem a little bummed about it.
    Iris puts a book in a box, stops and looks around the office…
    Iris: Yeah a lil bit.
    Cory: I’m a little surprised that you would be sad about leaving here. Didn’t you just inherit a fortune?
    Iris begins to get a little choked up.
    Iris: I did, and don’t get me wrong I’m VERY happy about that. I may be a Spaulding by blood, but Mac Cory is the man I consider my father. This was the company he built, and I wanted so badly to run it, but I don’t need it.
    Cory: You can start your own company with your Spaulding money right?
    Iris: Thinking about it.
    Cory: You know I’m...I just wanted…to be here for you on your last day, just like you were there for me when we were looking for my dad.
    Iris: That’s...that’s real sweet of you. Have you heard from your mother yet?
    Cory shakes his head...
    Cory: No. Nothing.

    CAVANAUGH CLINIC - Rachel faces Reginald in his office. Reginald has revealed to Rachel that he is the head of the Lumina Foundation.
    Rachel: Did I hear you right? You knew Jordan Stark?
    Reginald: Yes I did. I knew what he was doing.
    Rachel: He caused a great deal of pain for my family, and you stood by and watched him do it! How could you?
    CAMERA PAN ON RACHEL...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    Grant: You act like the paparazzi is after you.
    Christy: I can’t take any chances.
    Grant: You were in a limousine with tinted windows. I’m quite sure nobody saw you.

    Christy gives him an envelope.
    Christy: I need a fresh shower before I go to the next place. You did set up my appointment didn’t you?
    Grant: Yes I did. What is this?
    Christy: This should help you get Jack Snyder out of the way, and you can get your beloved Paulina back.

    Paulina walks up the door of Iris’s office and listens...
    Iris: I can’t believe that. When is the last time you heard from her?
    Cory: A few days ago.
    Iris: I’m sorry Cory. I know she is your mother, but she is unbelievable. How could she keep your own father from you? I mean you must be worried sick about it.
    Cory: I am. I called Lizzie and she says she doesn’t know anything either.
    Iris: Well when she gets back to Bay City I’m gonna let her know how irresponsible she is.
    Paulina walks in.
    Paulina: That’s enough Iris! I’m not let you bad mouth Rachel in front of Cory.
    Iris: Were you eavesdropping?
    Paulina: Cory, honey, can you leave us alone for a minute?
    Cory: Um I guess...I’ll talk to you soon.
    Iris: Sure.
    Cory leaves and Paulina turns to Iris.
    Paulina: So you’re trying to poison Cory’s mind against Rachel again?
    Iris: Oh you all hold that crow up on this pedestal! Oh dear old Rachel can do no wrong! It’s sickening! She is not telling him where she took Carl, and you think that’s right? You’re just as crazy and irrational as she is.
    Paulina: Why don’t you just finish packing your things and get the hell out of here!
    Amanda walks in.
    Amanda: Not so fast.
    Iris: Oh goodness. Is this a tag team effort?
    Amanda: I’m gonna give you a chance to answer.
    Iris: What are you talking about?
    Amanda: Tucker McCall and Operation Loco.
    Iris hides her shock, and she wonders what Amanda might really know about it.

    Reginald: Surely you know why Rachel.
    Rachel: He had my granddaughter Jasmine hanging from a tree when she was an infant. He tried to take Amanda away from us, and he left my other granddaughter Alli to die, so forgive me if I don’t quite understand why you stood by and did nothing about it. Please enlighten me.
    Reginald: I couldn’t risk being exposed. I had to lay low.
    Rachel: Why doesn’t that surprise me after everything you’ve done to your own family?
    Reginald: Touche. Everyone had to continue to think that I was dead in order for me to take over.
    Rachel: He had to be stopped.
    Reginald: Of course he did, but why should we continue to rehash the past?
    Rachel: Does anyone else know you’re alive?
    Reginald: No, and that’s the way it has to stay. I’m sure you’ll comply with that directive.
    Rachel: A directive? I don’t work for you Mr. Love.
    Reginald: But you do love your family.
    Rachel: I know the deal we made, and I fully intend to stick to it, but if I find out that you come after any member of my family, I will take you down, just like I did to Jordan Stark.
    Reginald: Safe travel home with your husband Rachel. You’ll need it to deal with your son.
    Rachel leaves and Reginald gets a phone call.
    Reginald: Bring them in.
    Two orderlies bring a girl into Reginald’s office. One is holding her left arm, and the other is holding her right as she struggles to free herself...to no avail.
    Girl: Let me go!
    Reginald: Thank you fellas.
    The orderlies leave, and the girl runs to the door trying to open it, but it’s locked.
    Reginald: Thank you fellas. Hello there. I’ve been expecting you.
    Girl: Who are you? What do you want?
    Reginald: Oh you should calm yourself. After all, we’re family.
    The girl is K.C. Burrell.

    MENTAL INSTITUTION - Sharlene has asked John to tell her about the tension between John and Gregory.
    Sharlene: For God’s sake John stop trying to protect me! You’re not leaving here until you tell me what’s going on between you and our son.
    Gregory walks in…
    Gregory: Yeah dad, tell mom the truth.
    John: Gregory this isn’t the time. We want your mom to get well.
    Sharlene: I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.
    Gregory: So when is it gonna be the right time? You owe mom the truth.
    John: Leave your mom and I alone so we can talk.
    Gregory: So yo can lie to her! I’m not gonna let you.
    Sharlene walks past John and up to Gregory.
    Sharlene: Honey you look hungry. Go get yourself something to eat.
    Gregory: I love you mom. I’m not leaving you. I’m not gonna let him hurt you again.
    Sharlene: Your father’s not gonna hurt me, and I would like to speak to him alone. I’ll be fine. Go ahead.
    Gregory shoots a mean look to John over Sharlene’s shoulder, and looks back at Sharlene, and kisses her on her left cheek.
    Gregory: I’ll be back.
    Sharlene: Thank you.
    Gregory shuts the door. Sharlene turns toward John, sighs, and folds her arms.
    John: He thinks I’m going to hurt you and that’s the last thing I wanna do.
    Sharlene: I know.

    LOVE MANSION - Jack and Toni are at the front door, and Michael opens it.
    Michael: Jack, Toni.
    Jack: May we come in?
    Donna meets them in the foyer.
    Donna: Detective Snyder. Lieutenant Burrell. Have you found out who burned my club down?
    Toni: We’re working on that.
    Michael: Why not? You must have some leads.
    Donna: I worked hard to get that club back up and running, and someone just set it on fire.
    Jack: We’re not here about that.
    Michael: Well I know this can’t be a social call, so what other police business could you have?
    Someone rings the doorbell, and Michael answers it.
    Michael: Etta Mae. What are you doing here?
    Etta Mae: I’m sorry, but they told me I could find my daughter here.
    Toni approaches them. Michael goes back to Donna’s side.
    Toni: Mom?
    Etta Mae: I need to talk to you...in private.
    Toni: I’m here on police business.
    Etta Mae: Toni please. This is serious.
    Toni: Alright. Alright. Jack I’ll be right outside.
    Toni walks outside and Jack continues his talk with Michael and Donna.
    Jack: We discovered something.
    Donna: About what?
    Jack: Your father.

    Meanwhile, outside of the Love Mansion, Toni wonders why Etta Mae tracked her down.
    Toni: What is going on?
    Etta Mae: I wouldn’t come to Bay City unless it was important.

    Toni: Did you guys fight?
    Etta Mae: We argued about her coming to school here. She left the house in a tizzy but she never came back.
    Toni: She’s not at a friend’s house or anything.
    Etta Mae: I called her cell phone and it goes to voicemail.
    Toni: Give her some time.
    Etta Mae: Something’s wrong Toni! Something happened to her. I can feel it.

    LIMOUSINE - Rachel and Carl are in the backseat.
    Carl: You’ve been awfully quiet.
    Rachel: Thinking about our son.
    Carl: It’s for his own protection that he didn’t know where you took me.
    Rachel: I didn’t want to lie to him Carl, but I’m not sure if he’s going to understand that.
    Carl: We’ll make him understand. He couldn’t know that I was in Monticello.
    The driver suddenly stops the car and they hear a banging on the passenger’s side window.
    Rachel: What is that?
    Carl presses the button to let the window down and they both get a big shock. It’s Michele, but they don’t know that she’s recovered her memories.
    Rachel: Oh my God.
    Carl: The girl from the clinic.
    Michele: Mr. and Mrs. Hutchins please. You gotta help me! We’ve been in an accident.
    CAMERA PAN ON MICHELE...SLOW FADE TO NEW OPENING.

    John: Everything I’ve done is because I love you.
    Sharlene: But you can’t protect me from everything. You can’t keep the truth from your wife. Isn’t that what destroyed our marriage twenty years ago?
    John: I remember that every single day; how Gregory and I tried to move on when we thought you died in that explosion on the lake; how you fought your way back to us, and I threw it all away by having an affair.
    John moves closer to Sharlene.
    John: You, Gregory, Josie, you all mean the world to me. I never wanna lose you again. After Kelsey, and even Felicia, you are the only woman I love.
    Sharlene: If that’s true, John, you will tell me why Gregory is so angry at you. It hurts me to see you guys at each other’s throats.
    John: You wanna know why Gregory’s mad? I’ll tell you. We were looking for Michael.
    Sharlene: We? Michael? What?
    John: I saw one of my mother’s diaries when Gregory and I went to see her, and it said something about twins.
    Sharlene (listening intently and curiously): Go on.
    John: She had letters dated 1996.
    Sharlene: Letters from whom? Michael?
    John: No...Martin. Michael’s identical twin brother.
    Sharlene: What? So the guy that was here; the guy I dated...wasn’t Michael? Oh my God.
    John: He was the one who died in the car crash with Shane Roberts.

    Gregory is outside of Sharlene’s room as if he’s standing guard, and Mitch approaches him.
    Gregory: Mitch.
    Mitch: Gregory. Where’s your mother?
    Gregory: She’s in here.
    Mitch: I just wanted to see how she was doing.
    Gregory: I’m glad you came, but she wanted to talk my dad alone.
    Mitch: Well then I’ll come back later.
    Gregory: No. I think it’s the perfect time for you to stay.

    Sharlene: So if Martin was the one who died, where’s Michael?
    John: He’s alive.
    Sharlene: And who was helping you look for him? No…that’s why Gregory is angry. That’s why he keeps saying that he doesn’t you to hurt me.
    Gregory and Mitch open the door.
    Sharlene: Felicia was helping you wasn’t she?
    Mitch walks right up to John, and Gregory follows.
    Mitch: Helping you? Do what?
    John: I’m having a private conversation with my wife.
    Mitch: But my wife’s name came up, so now it’s my business.
    John: What the hell are you even doing here Mitch?
    Mitch: I came to see Sharlene.
    John: You came to see Sharlene? Why?
    Mitch: She’s a friend.
    John: A friend? Sharlene you care to explain?
    Gregory: Are you serious right now dad? Don’t try to turn this around! After all the times I’ve seen you and Felicia together?
    Sharlene: What?
    Gregory: Yeah mom it’s true. Every time I turned around, I see dad and Felicia together.
    John: We were looking for Michael.
    Gregory: So what was that at the apartment? Mitch they were at your apartment...hugging.
    Mitch and Sharlene are shocked, and Mitch turns to his attention to John.
    Mitch: What the hell? You’re having an affair with my wife again?

    Donna: Why did you come all the way over here to talk to me about daddy?
    Jack takes out a picture of Karen, the nurse working for Reginald, shows Donna, and Michael takes a look.
    Donna: Who is this?
    Jack: Karen Pierce, at least that’s the name she goes by.
    Michael: What does she have to do with Reginald?
    Jack: Her real name is Margaret Allen. She worked for Jordan Stark.
    Donna: Jordan Stark? You mean that guy who was the head of the Lumina Foundation. He cured me of my aphasia when I couldn’t talk.
    Michael: I still don’t get the connection between Reginald and this woman.
    Jack: This woman...works for him.
    Donna: Works for him? You talk as if he’s still...
    Jack: That’s what I came to tell you. The Lumina Foundation saved his life, and your father took over the organization.
    Michael: What are you saying? That my family’s in danger?
    Jack: We’re doing everything we can get Reginald. The key to getting him is getting Margaret.
    Michael: Well you better pray I don’t get him first. I’m not gonna let the people I love live in fear of Reginald Love.

    OUTSIDE - It’s dark and a white mist is evaporating from the grass as Rachel, Carl, and Michele come to the spot where Lisa’s car crashed. Michele looks inside…
    Michele: No. No she was…she was...she was right here. Mrs. Hutchins she was right there.
    Rachel: You’re talking about Lisa?
    Carl: I’ll call 9-1-1.
    Michele: She was right here on the driver’s side. She’s gone. She wasn’t even conscious. Where is she?

    ROOM - Lisa is lying unconscious in a bed when Karen walks up to her, and leans over to Lisa’s face.
    Karen: I told him you wouldn’t get far.
    Suddenly someone bangs on the door and yells "Open up, Monticello Police!"

    Toni: I think you’re overreacting. Maybe she needs some time to cool off.
    Etta Mae: Well you know she can’t come here because….
    Toni: I know, but what more can we really do?
    Etta Mae: First we gotta get her back home.
    Toni’s gets and reads a text, and it has a picture of K.C. Burrell tied up and a message that reads: “If you want to see your daughter again, you will do as I ask.”.
    Toni: Oh my God.
    Etta Mae: Was that Keneisha?
    Toni shows Etta Mae the text.
    Etta Mae: Oh no!

    Meanwhile at the CAVANAUGH CLINIC/LUMINA FOUNDATION, Reginald takes the battery out of his cell phone, and looks at his tied up KC Burrell, who is struggling to free herself.

    IN THE CORY LIVING ROOM
    Dr. Russ Matthews is off in a corner on his cell phone.
    Russ:  Iris it’s me.
    Iris:  Hey how are you?
    Russ:  I dunno.  
    Iris:  Is everything alright?
    Russ:  No.  I can’t say it is.
    Iris:  You’re at the Corys right?
    Russ:  Yeah.
    Iris:  What happened?
    Russ:  Carl just passed away.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Three of Carl’s surviving children (Cory, Elizabeth, and Devin Lucas) all emerge from the small crowd.
    Elizabeth:  Daddy.  Daddy!
    She runs up to Carl and Rachel.  Rachel is holding her husband still, who has just passed away.
    Elizabeth:  Do something mom!  Call 9-1-1.  Somebody call 9-1-1!  Daddy!  Daddy wake up!
    Cory:  Lizzie…
    Elizabeth:  How could you do this?  How could you let him die?
    Devin gets Elizabeth.
    Devin (with tears in his eyes): He’s gone Elizabeth.  Dad is dead.
    Elizabeth:  Don’t say that!  Don’t you ever say something like that!  Nooo..noooooo!
    Elizabeth breaks down and Devin hugs his sister tightly..
    The paramedics arrive at the gazebo with a gurney.
    Paramedic #1:  We’ve come to get Mr. Hutchins.
    Elizabeth:  No!  No you’re not taking my daddy!
    Cory:  Let them do their jobs Lizzie.
    Elizabeth:  No!  
    Cory holds Elizabeth back as Rachel watches in sadness.  The paramedics put Carl’s body on the gurney and cover it with a sheet.  Elizabeth, in tears, breaks free of Cory’s hold, runs to the gurney, and lifts the sheet up to see Carl’s face.
    Rachel:  Elizabeth don’t do this.
    Elizabeth:  No.  This isn’t happening.  Daddy...don’t go.  Daddy!
    Rachel:  They have to take him honey.
    Rachel goes and embraces Elizabeth as the paramedics wheel Carl out of the gazebo.

    Gregory and Lindsay watch as all unfolded.  Gregory holds her.
    Lindsay:  My God this is so sad.
    Gregory:  I feel so bad for them.  They lost their dad.  I don’t know what I’d do if I lost mine.
    Lindsay:  Don’t talk like that.  You’re not gonna lose your father.
    Meanwhile, Russ approaches John and Sharlene
    John:  So you were treating him?
    Russ:  I was just trying to make him comfortable.  There was nothing we could do about the tumor.
    Sharlene:  I’m sure Rachel appreciates it…and Carl.  Those poor kids.  They’re too young to lose their father, and Frankie.  Frankie was just getting to know him, and it’s all just cut short.  This just isn’t fair.
    John rubs Sharlene shoulders.
    John:  This reminds me of when we thought we lost you.  I wouldn’t want anyone to go through this.
    Sharlene:  I survived, but Carl didn’t.

    OUTSIDE, Matt and Amanda are with Rachel in the gazebo.
    Matt:  Mom.  Do you need anything?
    Rachel:  No honey I…I just want to sit out here for a minute.
    Amanda:  We’ll be inside.
    Rachel:  Will you check on Cory and Elizabeth for me?
    Amanda:  Okay.
    Matt and Amanda go inside, as Felicia comes out and sits on Rachel’s right on the gazebo bench, and Paulina comes out and sits on Rachel’s left.  Paulina clenches Rachel’s left hand, and Felicia clenches Rachel’s right hand.

    Lindsay:  I’m gonna get something out of my car.  I’ll be back.
    Gregory:  Okay.

    Meanwhile, out the front door, Devin Lucas is with Lorna pacing back and forth.
    Lorna:  Are you gonna be okay son?
    Devin Lucas:  Yeah…I just wanna be out here for a minute.
    Lorna:  I’ll…go see about mom.
    Lorna goes in, and Devin Lucas paces faster, and breaks down crying.  Lindsay opens the front door and sees Devin Lucas, whose back is turned to the front door.  He turns around and sees Lindsay, and quickly wipes his tear soaked face.
    Lindsay:  I’m…I’m sorry about your dad.
    Devin Lucas:  What did you come out here for?
    Lindsay:  I was going to my car to get something.
    Devin Lucas:  Don’t let me stop you.
    Devin goes inside as Lindsay looks at him.

    CORY’S ROOM
    Cory sits on his bed.  Amanda  walks in and sits next to him.  The two are silent and Amanda breaks it.
    Amanda:  You know, for what it’s worth I know what you’re going through.
    Cory:  I don’t...know what to feel.  It’s almost like I don’t feel anything.  Shouldn’t I feel something?
    Amanda:  You’re in shock.  We all are.  
    Cory:  I’ve been expecting this.  Dad told us he was dying, and now he’s gone.
    Amanda:  You’re a strong kid.  And we’re gonna need to band together for mom.
    ---------------------------------
    Matt knocks on Elizabeth’s door.  Elizabeth sits in a chair next to the bed and Matt sits on the bed.
    Elizabeth:  Did mom send you?
    Matt:  No.  I know what it’s like to lose a dad though.   You should take comfort in the fact that Carl got to spend his last days with you, Cory and Devin Lucas.
    Elizabeth:  I’m sorry that you weren’t able to do that.
    Matt:  Hold on to those memories.  My dad adopted me and raised me as his own.  It still hurts sometimes.
    Elizabeth:  Is it gonna feel like this all the time?  Is it always gonna be this painful?
    Matt:  I know you don’t believe it now but it gets easier.  You’ll start to do what your dad would want you to do.  I don’t think Carl wants you to be sad forever.  
    Elizabeth:  I...shouldn’t have lashed out at mom like that.
    Matt:  I’m sure she understands. She’s lost another husband.  She’s gonna need us.

    Russ is on his cell phone with Iris.
    Russ:  I know there was no love lost between you and Carl so I don’t expect you to shed any tears.
    Iris:  Still it’s...devastating for his children...and Rachel.
    Russ walks to the gazebo and see Rachel with Paulina and Felicia.
    Russ:  Rachel’s lost Mac and now Carl.  She’s gotta be so devastated.  Looks like she’s in good hands though.

    Paulina:  I’ve learned to live without Joe.  Every time I see Dante, I smile, and I’m happy, and proud, but a part of me still gets sad, because I see his father.  I start remembering our lives together.  I know I don’t have to tell you how to deal with that right.
    Rachel:  No.  This is helping.  I thought I would never find love after Mac died, but I did.   Carl pursued me.  I resisted, and resisted…
    Felicia:  So did we.
    Rachel:  Carl and I had our ups and downs, but we had a beautiful life together.
    Paulina:  You have two wonderful children.
    Felicia:  Carl lives on in them, and in my grandson.  
    Paulina:  Carl was like the father I never had.  His impact will always be felt in all of us.  We will definitely miss him.

    Donna: That’s wonderful. You know Toni Burrell is back in town. She’s investigating Dr. Taylor’s murder.
    Marley: Hope she finds whoever did it. He was a great therapist.
    Donna: I know you were seeing him.
    Marley: He really helped me.
    Tyrone walks in and makes eye contact with Donna, thinking about when Donna was blotting his shirt…
    Marley: Hi honey.
    Tyrone: My brother’s also here.
    Marley: Your brother? You’ve never said much about him.
    Tyrone: He goes by Allen Lovett.
    Donna: You can take the “tt” off of his last name. His birth name is Allen Love.
    Marley: Donna, what are you saying?
    Donna: Nicole wrote me letters while she was in Pinehaven. Allen is Nicole’s son. She had him when she was sixteen.

    Rachel: I’ll tell you the truth…I am, too. I haven’t heard from her since the wedding and I am very concerned. Mitch was shot and he’s critical.
    Someone knocks on the door at Allen’s room.
    Allen: The shooter might also have Amanda. I’ve gotta go.
    He opens the door and gets a huge surprise.
    Allen: Mom?
    Nicole: Hi honey!

    Donna: Knowing my father, he’s probably covered all his tracks. I bet there’s nothing connecting him to Allen’s crimes.

    Elizabeth begins to cry and whispers to Rachel.

    BAY CITY CENTER - Joy is in line at a coffee shop, and is behind one person, when Steven comes up and waits behind her. Then a handsome barista approaches the counter.
    Barista: We’re sorry but the coffee machine is down.
    Joy: What do you mean, down?
    Barista: It’s been doing this frequently. I’ve called the repairman. I apologize.
    Joy turns around and talks to Steven.
    Joy: Isn’t that the most ridiculous thing you’ve ever heard? The coffee machine in a coffee shop doesn’t work. I mean really?
    Steven: Yeah I was really looking forward to my cappucino.
    Joy: Are you familiar with this town?
    Steven: You could say that.

    CORY PRODUCTIONS - Amanda is in her office when Cory knocks on the door.
    Amanda: Hey kid. What are you doing here?
    Cory: We...were supposed to have breakfast.

    Cory: Sure sis. Have you heard from mom?
    Amanda: No she hasn’t called me.

    Cory: I’ve tried already. It just goes directly to voicemail. Well I guess I’ll just have those pancakes and bacon by myself.

    Amanda grabs an envelope.
    Amanda: Can you give these to Iris for me on your way out?
    Cory: If you promise to get me an extra stack of pancakes when we go for breakfast.
    Amanda (smiling): Of course.
    After Cory leaves, Amanda checks the computer, and notices something.
    Amanda: This is a lot of money. Operation Loco? What is this?

    A name tag is placed on the door of an office that reads: Iris Cory, C.E.O. Iris walks up to it and admires it.

    She walks into her office, runs and sits in the office chair, spins around and lets out a joyful scream.
    Iris: This office looks so drab, so gloomy, so Rachel.
    Someone familiar walks in…
    Iris: Well if it isn’t the famous Tucker McCall. I was just thinking how you should come down after I had this mausoleum redecorated.
    Tucker: Hey there beautiful…
    After they hug…

    Iris: Have you heard from your mother?
    Cory: No unfortunately not.
    Iris: How could she not? You must be worried to pieces about your father.

I don’t want them to spend all their time worrying about you, and I know you don’t either. We can’t lose you again. You’ll be back again, stronger than ever.

    Joy: A little exercise never hurt, right?
    Joy tries to walk past him, but…
    Steven: I understand your trepidation. How do you like your coffee?
    Joy: One cream and two sugars. Wait a minute. You’re not…
    Steven: I will go across town, get your coffee, and bring it back here for you. If you’re willing to wait.
    Joy (smiling): It’ll be cold by the time you get back.
    Steven: Hopefully their microwave still work even if the coffee machine doesn’t.
    They both smile at each other.

    Cory: Yeah that’s where she took dad.

    Cory spontaneously hugs Iris, meanwhile Amanda comes to the door and observes Cory and Iris’s embrace.

    Lisa: And he is getting stronger, but it’s going to take some time for his body to rid itself of the poison. If you’ll excuse me, I’ve gotta go check on a patient.

    Marissa puts the pill in her mouth and drinks the water.

    Lisa leaves and Marissa takes the pill out of her mouth, and places it in her drawer, with many other pills identical to the one she just took out of her mouth.

    Jake walks in.
    Jake: Where ya headed kiddo?
    Bridget: I’m going to the Center to meet Lindsay.
    Jake: Seems like you two are becoming friends.
    Bridget: I’m just grateful to her for helping you get better.
    Jake: Well have a good time.
    Bridget leaves and Vicky walks in.
    Vicky: Where did Bridget go?
    Jake: She went to the Center to meet Lindsay.
    Vicky: Oh...you know I just remembered. I need to go see Marley.
    She kisses Jake and leaves.

    AT THE COURT…
    Frankie is on the stand at Christy Carson's parole hearing.
    Frankie: I was visiting her and we wrote letters. I know that she did some horrible things in the past, but from what I can see, she is truly sorry and remorseful for what she had done. She was trapped in a marriage to an emotionally abusive husband. Obviously it took its toll on her, but after the visits and the letters, I could see she was back to the Christy McHale I knew back in college. I want my best friend back.
    CUT TO Cass on the stand…
    Cass: This woman had designs on me, but there were two people in her way, Douglas Carson, and Frankie Frame, and she methodically got one of them out of the way. Douglas was on oxygen, and she used his illness to her advantage. She poisoned him, and THEN she tried to get Frankie out of the way by framing her for his death. All because she wanted me, then she tried to poison me also. Your honor, I don’t think this woman should be granted parole. I believe she’s a danger to our family, and a danger to society. I’ve also visited with her, and she threatened my daughter.
    Christy: That’s a lie! Cass is making it up.
    Judge Baker bangs her gavel and demands order in the court. She tells Cass he can step down, she heard all she needs, and she says she’s ready to render a decision.

    IRIS’S OFFICE - All of Mac Cory’s natural and adopted children, except Sandy, are there.

    Bridget leaves, and Vicky turns her attention to Lindsay.

    Cass and Frankie listen to Judge Baker.
    Judge Baker: Mrs. Christina Carson please stand. I’ve heard the testimony of Mr. Cass Winthrop and Miss Mary Frances Frame. I’ve read the doctor’s reports. You’ve been a model citizen among the inmates, but I am concerned. I am concerned about your past obsession with Mr. Cass Winthrop. Since I don’t see evidence of that being gone, I think you need more therapy, and you still could be a danger to Mr. Winthrop. I cannot grant you parole at this time.
    Christy: Your honor please. I’m not that person anymore! I’ve paid my penance!
    Judge Baker: We will revisit this is in six months. Court is adjourned. Please remand Mrs. Carson back to state custody.
    Judge Baker hits the block with her gavel, and the guards escort Christy out of the back of the courtroom, as Cass and Frankie look at her.
    Christy: No! No!

    Iris: Come on everybody’s gonna get what they want here. Michael I can appeal any decision you make that I don’t agree with about Cory, and appeal, and appeal. All those legal fees will bleed the company dry, or you can just give me Brava.
    Amanda: What? You can’t do that! Michael you cannot give her what I helped build!
    Iris: Print and web. I want full control and ownership of Brava Magazine.
    Paulina: You’re desperate to hold on to any part of Cory. Just give it up! You’ve lost.
    Michael is silent.

    Michael walks up to a door that says “Dr. Monica Quartermaine, Chief of Staff.”, knocks on the door, and sees Monica.



    Michael: Grandmother.



    Monica: Michael! Hi honey. How are you?



    Michael: I’m good. I came to give you the good news.



    Monica: Oh…I already heard!



    Michael: So…you know?

    PRISON



    The guards escort Ava Jerome to the visitors’ area, where Kiki is waiting on the other side of the glass. They simultaneously pick up the phones.



    Ava: Kiki I thought I told you I didn’t want you to see me like this.



    Kiki: Sorry mom. I had to come see you.



    Ava: I already know that I’m a horrible mother. You didn’t have to come all the way to the penitentiary to tell me.



    Kiki holds up her left hand, and Ava is shocked.



    Ava: Oh my God. He asked you.



    Kiki: Michael and I are getting married.



    Ava: Wow that’s…that’s wonderful. Congratulations. When’s the wedding?



    Kiki: This week.



    Monica: Congratulations! I will be more than happy to help with any planning.



    Michael: That would be great, if you’re up to a fight with my mom.



    METROCOURT HOTEL - BALLROOM



    Carly: You put that over there by the table. And I want the threshold overrrrr here.



    Carly continues to dole out orders and Franco walks in.



    Carly: Hey you. I’m real busy.



    Franco: I can see that, but can I borrow my lovely girlfriend for a minute?



    Carly: Franco I’d love to but I just can’t. I gotta…



    Franco silences her with a kiss and Carly smiles, but she’s focused…



    Carly: I really needed that, but I gotta finish planning Michael and Kiki’s engagement party. I don’t want anything going wrong.



    Franco: It won’t.

    MEANWHILE, Carlos Rivera is in the back alley of the Metro Court, and it’s dimly lit. He looks around, and starts walking. Suddenly, Shawn appears in front of him, and pointing a flashlight, and a shiny silver Smith and Wesson, at Carlos.



    Shawn: What the hell are you doing here?



    QUICK CUT TO…

    Ava: Well I’m...happy for you honey.



    Kiki: Well you don’t seem like it.



    Ava: Because I’m here. I would rather be supporting you.



    Kiki: I don’t think the Quartermaines would want you around after what you’ve done.



    Ava: There’s nothing that would keep me from supporting you.



    Kiki: I know mom. I...wish you could be there, too.



    Ava: I’m so grateful that you’ve stood by me, despite everything that I’ve done.



    Kiki: You’re always gonna be my mother.

    Carlos: I had to go to the bathroom.



    Shawn: You’re a terrible liar.



    Carlos: Looks nice in the ballroom. Looks like Sonny’s son and Ava’s daughter are gonna have a nice engagement party.

    Carlos: I don’t work for him.



    Shawn: Yeah right.



    Carlos: I took the rap for Sonny because Ava threatened my Sabrina. It’s her fault Sabrina left!



    Shawn: I don’t give a damn about your vendettas.



    Carlos: Well I can’t get to Ava and Sonny. They’re locked up.



    Shawn: So you’re going after their kids? I can’t allow that.



    Suddenly, someone knocks out Carlos.



    Shawn: Jason? Thought you were done.



    Jason: Old habits die hard. Let’s get him outta here. I’m not gonna let him hurt Michael.

    Monica: Your mother IS something else. Guess I better lay off.



    Michael: Thank you grandmother. I appreciate it.



    Monica smiles.



    Monica: I’m so happy. For you. For all of us. For our family. I’ve got all of you back again. I’ve lost Alan, Emily, Edward, A.J., but Jason’s back, and I’ve got you.



    Michael: Don’t forget Aunt Tracy.



    Monica: I couldn’t if I wanted to.



    Michael: I gotta get back to the office. Jason and I are working on a project.



    Monica: Okay. You have a good evening.



    After Michael leaves…Monica walks to her desk, sits back down, and looks at a picture.



    Monica: Alan, oh how I wish you were here. Everything is better than I ever could have dreamed. Michael and I have gotten close, and Jason’s back...with us.



    Then she sighs and pulls up something on her computer.



    Monica: There’s just one more thing that will make everything complete.



    Monica looks at a DNA test showing that Jason is Michael’s biological father.

    Nina: He’s gotta be somewhere around here. I need to see him.
    Patrick: I’m not his keeper.
    Nina: You know you could lose the attitude. I wasn’t the one who kidnapped Robin!
    Patrick: Your aunt destroyed my family.
    Nina: Well your anger is misplaced.
    Patrick: From what I’ve heard you’re all the same.
    Silas walks up to the desk.
    Patrick: Saved by the doctor.
    Silas: Patrick.
    Patrick: She’s all yours.
    Patrick walks away as Nina turns to Silas.
    Nina: Hi.
    Silas: Nina.
    Nina: Where’s Sam?
    Silas: She took Danny to see Jason.
    Nina: Oh. Do you think that was a good idea? I mean, you don’t want any old feelings to resurface do you?

    AT THE QUARTERMAINES…Sam pushes Danny in his stroller into the living room, where Jason awaits. Jason runs up to the stroller, and picks up Danny.

    Sam looks at them and smiles as they bond.

    Jason: I can’t believe how big he’s gotten. The last time I saw him…
    Sam: I know, but you’re here now, and Danny looks happy to have you back.
    Jason: Are you?

    AT THE HOSPITAL...Britt walks into Dr. Obrecht’s office...
    Dr. Obrecht: Shut ze door schlotzy.
    Britt: Mom I can’t do this anymore.

    Britt: We could get in big trouble for this!
    Dr. Obrecht: Not if zu keep your mouf shut! What is it you Americans say about loose lips…?
    Britt: Well I’m out of it mother!

    Silas: I don’t have a problem with Danny seeing his father.
    Nina: I bet Sam was all too happy to take him to Jason. Let’s see, she went to the Quartermaines right?
    Silas: What business is it of yours what happens between me and Sam?
    Nina: Because I never stopped loving you. You cheated on me with that bitch Ava, but I forgave you for it. I’m still here, despite what my mother did. My feelings haven’t changed.
    Silas: Nina I’ve moved on. I’m with Sam, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.
    Nina: Well I would buy that if Jason Quartermaine weren’t back in Port Charles. I just hope you’re not fighting a losing battle. I should know, that those feelings of love just don’t go away.

    Jason: I really didn’t know what to say to her when she received her divorce papers.
    JASON FLASHES BACK TO THE CASSADINE LAB...Robin is at the desk reading the final divorce decree while Jason sits on the bed.
    Robin: I can’t believe this is happening. I remember him telling me that I shouldn’t bother coming home, but he just couldn’t understand why I had to save you.
    Jason: I’m sorry Robin. I feel like it’s my fault.
    Robin: No it’s not. I did what was right, and I thought Patrick came to grips with that. I guess he didn’t. It’s….really over.
    JASON FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT…
    Jason: She saved me, but we couldn’t leave the island until Helena and Stavros Cassadine were also saved.
    Sam: So you two basically spent all that time alone.
    Jason: We got closer.
    JASON FLASHES BACK TO THE CASSADINE LAB AGAIN…Robin is reading another paper..
    Robin: Full custody of Emma? How could he do this to me? I’m coming back! I came back before!
    Jason: I…I don’t know what to say.
    Robin (crying): How could he take my daughter from me?
    Jason holds Robin close to his chest as she cries.
    Robin: Now I know we don’t have a marriage. We never did. He just doesn’t understand the bond that you and I have. I would move heaven and earth to save you. I did it twice, and I don’t regret it. You’re the only person in my life besides my parents and Uncle Mac that I can fully trust.
    Robin pulls off just far enough. They look at each other as Jason wipes her tears, and they kiss. Jason flashes back to the present as he holds Danny.
    Sam: Wow. That’s...that’s the first time you told me about what happened on Cassadine Island between you two.
    Jason: Robin told me about you and Silas, and I wasn’t upset about it. You thought I was dead and she couldn’t tell you.
    Sam: It’s all in the past now. We’ve moved on...right?
    Jason: Yep...we did..
    Jason looks at Danny.
    Jason: But we got this little guy.
    Sam: The greatest gift ever.
    Jason: I can’t imagine being separated from him anymore. I can’t begin to think the despair Robin was going through when she got that custody notice from Patrick.

    Britt walks into Patrick’s office and shuts the door…
    Patrick: Did you get some more for me?
    Britt: Patrick…
    Patrick: Please Britt...you’re the only one I can trust with this. You know what Robin and Sabrina did to me.

    Patrick: You didn’t even like my daughter at first, and now all of a sudden you’re worried about her?
    Britt: You need to think about them before you get high.
    Britt looks into Patrick’s eyes….
    Britt: Too late.
    Patrick: Come on Britt. Please I need more. If you cared about me at all, you would help me. I need to numb this pain.
    Britt: Sabrina left Port Charles because you were getting high, and Emma is living with Anna.
    Patrick: So I don’t have anything else to lose right?
    Britt: And you everything to gain. Stop this.
    Patrick begins to seductively touch Britt…
    Patrick: You remember what we had right?
    Britt: Patrick…
    Patrick: Remember the shower?
    Patrick kisses Britt and Britt returns the favor. Britt reaches into her pocket of her lab coat, and takes out a bottle of pills.

    GRANT’S MANSION - Kirkland is there with Grant. Grant is pouring himself a drink.
    Grant: Your wedding’s coming up soon.
    Kirkland: I know dad.
    Grant: Where’s Charlie?

    Grant: How can they go to Oklahoma when Charlie’s about to marry you?
    Kirkland: They went to get Emma’s wedding dress. I didn’t come to discuss my fiancee. I gotta go meet Steven.
    Grant: Well go on and meet your brother. I don’t want to keep you.
    Kirkland gives Grant a card.
    Grant: What is this?
    Kirkland: Call him and he’ll fit you for your tux.
    Grant: You want me to...stand up for you?

    Michael: The police don’t have any leads?
    Donna: None that I know of, but what’s really eating at me is Victoria. She came here very upset. I don’t know if she and Jake are gonna make it this time.
    Michael: You were telling me.
    Donna: What about Bridget? If Jake and Victoria break up, what is this gonna do to her?

    Iris: Tucker was a dear friend of mine, but I don’t know what that has to do with this Operation Local or whatever it is you’re talking about.
    Amanda: You’re gonna go with that Iris?
    Paulina: Of course she is Amanda. She’s a world class liar.
    Iris: Aww you two are such a force together. Daddy would be so proud.
    Iris turns around and puts two more folders in her box, and turns back around to face the sisters.
    Amanda: No daddy wouldn’t. Tucker tried to kill his own mother with poisoned paint, and you helped him.
    Iris: First of all, I resent the fact that you are talking one of my dearest friends like that, and second, I would never have helped Tucker kill his mother. That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard.
    Amanda: I wonder how stupid you think it would be if I turned the evidence I had over to the police.
    Iris: They’ll laugh you right out of the precinct. You don’t have anything.
    Paulina: I wouldn’t be so smug if I were you. You’re finally gonna get what you’ve long deserved.
    Iris walks up to Paulina’s face.

    Paulina: Uh...yeah sure. Come in.
    There’s a silence between the two and Paulina breaks it.
    Paulina: Congratulations are in order huh? Gonna be a husband.
    Kirkland: Yep in a couple days.
    Paulina: That’s really wonderful Kirkland I’m happy for you. Do you need some help or anything?
    Kirkland: No. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t even be here to be able to get married. You see that’s what I came here for. I wanted to thank you.
    Paulina: Thank me?
    Kirkland: If you hadn’t hit me with your car when I was a kid, I wouldn’t be alive today.

I’ll give you credit for Sam Fowler because you two had Alli, but the others prove that you seem to gravitate toward men who have once hurt you or tried to hurt people in your family at one point or another. Your latest one is a mystery inside an enigma. Allen Love, he turned out to be another one of Reginald’s puppets like Peter was. My my, you sure know how to pick em don’t you?

    They turn around, and to their surprise, Allen is standing there, looking at both of them as if he’s caught them doing something.

    Kirkland: My mom told me all about it. She told me what dad had done, too.
    Paulina: I don’t blame Grant for my addiction to diet pills, and I certainly don’t blame him for what I did to you.
    Kirkland: But if you hadn’t hit me with your car, they would never have found the aneurysm that was in my brain. Don’t you see? You saved my life. I couldn’t be happy if you never did what you did.
    Paulina chuckles nervously.
    Paulina: Kirkland you really don’t have to…
    Kirkland: I know that my dad was supplying you with diet pills, and set your house on fire.
    Paulina: I’ve forgiven him for all of that.
    Kirkland: As have I, but you see everything fell into place. I’m marrying Charlie in a couple days. I’ve never been happier than i am now. None of this is possible without you.
    Paulina: You give me way too much credit…
    Kirkland: You don’t get enough credit. If I hadn’t told you before, I have no ill will toward you for that accident.
    Paulina’s eyes well up…
    Paulina: You don’t know how much it means to me to hear you say that.
    Kirkland: I hope it means that you will come to my wedding.

    Allen: You care to tell me what’s going here?
    Toni: I told you. Police business.
    Allen: Are you really gonna stand there and lie to me? I heard what you and Etta Mae were talking about?
    Toni folds her arms with exasperation and curiosity.
    Toni: Detective Snyder is inside and I came with him to tell Michael and Donna…
    Toni stops herself, realizing what this conversation might lead to. Allen flashes back to throwing the gun that Donna used to shoot Reginald into the river.
    Allen: Tell them what?
    Toni: Well you know I can’t tell you that. It’s police business.
    Allen: If it’s a family matter, then it involves me. Whatever it is, maybe I can help.
    Toni: The police is handling it. If you’ll excuse me, I have to get to the station.
    Toni walks away and Allen looks at her wondering what Toni knows, then Donna comes out of the mansion.
    Donna: Hi nephew. I’m glad you came by.
    Allen: I just saw Toni leave. What’s going on?
    Donna: She didn’t tell you?
    Allen: Tell me what?
    Allen lowers his voice a bit.
    Allen: Was it about the gun?
    Donna: No. It’s much worse. He’s the one taunting me.
    Allen: So they found out who’s stalking you?
    Donna: Yes...it’s my father.
    Allen: Reginald? He’s dead.
    Donna: No. He’s very much alive.
    Allen: I heard Toni and Etta Mae talking about K.C.
    Donna: K.C.? Isn’t she Toni’s sister?
    Allen: She said that KC is his great-granddaughter.
    Donna: K.C. Burrell is Reginald’s great-granddaughter? Peter and Etta Mae had an affair? They don’t even know each other.
    Allen: Not that we know of. Toni and Etta Mae were saying something about giving him what he wants, and he would never hurt her. Oh no. I’m...I’m going to the police station to see if I can help.
    Donna: Do you think Reginald has K.C.?
    Allen: Sounds like it, and I’m gonna find out why.

    Mitch: You're doing a great job. Carl is probably pleased with how you're raising them.
    Rachel: Amanda tries to help, but she's busy at the office. I guess what I'm trying to say is...I need help.
    Mitch: I'll be here for you.
    Rachel: Mitch you don't have to do that. I mean you and Felicia are getting closer, and you should be focusing on that. I can take care of myself and my kids.
    Mitch: You're always gonna have a place in my heart Rachel. You're Matt's mother.
    Elizabeth is at the bottom of the stairs listening.

    Bridget walks in and calls out for her mother, father, and Michele, and nobody is home. She picks up the mail off of the table and notices a letter addressed to Michele McKinnon...from Harvard University. She decides to open it, and notices that Michele has been accepted to the school. She then flashes back to overhearing Vicky tell Jake that Vicky wishes Bridget could be more like Michele. Bridget puts the letter in her knapsack, and go upstairs to her room, but the opened letter falls out in front of her bedroom.

    Frankie greets her visitor.
    Frankie: Thanks for coming. I'm just gonna cut to the chase. Do you know who might have wanted you dead?
    Grant sits down across from Frankie.

    Rachel: Have you finished your homework?

    Bridget is in her bedroom, and she goes through her knapsack, and notices Michele's acceptance letter is gone, but as she tries to leave her bedroom, Vicky is at the door, holding the opened letter.
    Vicky: You wanna explain this to me Bridget?
    Bridget: Explain what?
    Vicky: You opened this didn't you? Why?
    Bridget: How do you know I did it?
    Vicky: Because nobody's been home since the mail came.
    Bridget: Michele was here.
    Vicky: I was with Michele at the Center, and I dropped her off at the library on the way here.
    Bridget: What about dad?
    Vicky: Your father is working. Bridget why are you trying to weasel your way out of this?
    Bridget: Why is this so important to you? Because it's Michele's letter.
    Vicky: I don't have favorites! I love you just as much as I love any of my children.
    Bridget: Yeah right mom!
    Vicky: Is this what it's about? You're jealous of Michele? She's been accepted to Harvard.
    Bridget: What about me? Do you marvel over the things that I do like you do Michele?

    Charlie: Understatement of the year.
    Frankie (sighing): I guess there's no way I can make you understand why I stayed away.
    Charlie: I probably won't be able to put that together, but can you tell me why. Was it me? Was it something I did?

    Charlie: Then why did you let us think that you were dead?

    Frankie (eyes welling up): My God. I'm so sorry. I had no idea.
    Charlie: Dad missed you, too. You, dad and me were a family, and you decided you didn't want one.
    Frankie: Charlie it's not like that.
    Charlie: Well yeah it is mom. Your selfishness hurt dad and me, and you don't even see it. Staying away was not best for us, as you seem to think it was.
    Frankie: I love you. I just wanted my little girl and your father to be happy.
    Charlie: I'm not a little girl anymore.
    Frankie: You're all grown up. You're so beautiful.
    Charlie: And a failure. I flunked out of school mom. That's why I'm back in Bay City...living with dad.
    Frankie: Oh baby. Is there anything that I can do to help you?
    Charlie gets up.
    Charlie: I don't know mom. I really don't know how to answer that right now.

    Frankie sits at her desk thinking about the way her conversation with Charlie turned out, and her well eyes well up.
    Frankie: Oh my little girl. I had no idea how much pain I've caused.
    Jake walks in and notices Frankie wiping her eyes quickly, but it's too late.
    Jake: Frankie? Have you been crying?
    Frankie: No...allergies. I'm gonna have to get a cleaner for the carpets.
    Jake: What's wrong?
    Frankie (eyes welling up again): I've been a terrible mother.
    Jake: Why are you saying that? Of course you're not a bad mother.
    Frankie: I just met with Charlie. I had no idea how much I've hurt her. I don't know if she'll ever forgive me.
    Jake: Well at least you still have a chance to make it right with your daughter. One of my daughters is gone, my other daughter is living with her grandmother because her mother doesn't want her around. Did you get all that?
    Frankie: Oh my goodness. Here I am moping about Charlie, and you're dealing with Michele's death. I'm so sorry.
    Jake: And things are getting strained between Vicky and me.
    Frankie: They say a loss of a child can test a marriage.
    Jake: We've never been tested like this before. I'm wondering if we're gonna make it.
    Frankie: If you want to make it, then you will. If anyone deserves happiness, it's you and Vicky.

    Benjamin: I'll do what I can but I can't make any guarantees.
    Grant: Well you better try. Your career depends on it.

    Grant turns around and gets a shock.

    John: I was hoping you were getting the help you so desperately need but I'm disappointed again.
    Grant: I was just leaving.
    John: Come on Grant, where are you running to so fast? I heard enough..
    Grant: Whatever you thought you heard, it's not what you think.
    John: Oh come on...I'm not stupid. I heard you telling Dr. Taylor here to make sure he helps suppress my wife's memories...and I'm in.

    John: Dr. Taylor, I don't want my wife to remember either. I'm afraid of what's going to happen to her.
    Grant: You're afraid of her D.I.D. resurfacing.

    Rachel: I will write a letter to your C.E.O. because this is ridiculous.
    Amanda: You called? What’s wrong?
    Rachel: That is the fifth bank I’ve called to see if we can borrow money. They won’t give us what we need.
    Amanda: There’s got to be something.
    Rachel: Maybe, but first I have something to tell you. I want you to take a leave of absence.
    Amanda: No mom I won’t do that.
    Rachel: Amanda, this isn’t a request.

    A deeply disappointed Iris goes and sits at the bar.

    Grant, who is reeling from Paulina’s hesitancy to let him in, joins her. He looks at Iris, and says “Make it a double.”

    Rachel: A tough time? We will go under if we don’t get some money, and we got in this situation because of your decision to approve those buyouts.
    Amanda: How can you say that? Those writers were pulling out. Would you rather have gone to court over lawsuits? We would definitely have been wiped out. I had to make a decision!
    Rachel: A decision that may cost us your father’s company.
    Amanda: You’re telling me to take a leave has nothing to do with dad. It is all about your need to be in control.
    Rachel: Someone needs to make sound decisions around here!
    Amanda: Really mom! Your decision to marry a man who tried to kill my father and kidnap you wasn’t the BEST one you’ve ever made!
    Rachel: Are we on that again? You really should let that go Amanda!
    Amanda: It’s funny you mention about things being let go, because everything that you THINK you’re in control of…is falling apart!

    Gregory: I tried to get out of the way…but…but I couldn’t. I didn’t mean it.
    Gregory starts shaking his head as if to be overcome with guilt, as he recounts the moments before the car he was driving struck Michele.
    Gregory: I didn’t mean it! What have I done Lindsay? I’m a killer!
    Gregory starts crying and Lindsay hugs him.

    Iris: Nothing. They just get on their high horses and forget that you provided them with the best things in life when they couldn’t fend for themselves.
    Grant: Well my son seems to have forgotten that, too. He can’t stand me either. He sides with his mother.
    Iris: Vicky? I hear she’s been a tornado.
    Grant: She always has been. She’s definitely made my life hell, but yet my son sides with her. And Paulina…
    Iris: My half sister---
    Grant: One of Mac’s bastard children…she can’t see a good thing when it’s right in front of her.
    Iris: Oooh you’ve got the hots for her.
    Grant: I have taken care of her and her son since Joe was killed, and she only thinks of me as a friend. Ingrate!
    Iris: I’m surprised. Paulina used to like bad boys. There was Jake, and Ian Rain. Joe was a bit puzzling to me though.

    Rachel: Where’s your sister? (beat) I’m back in Bay City. Yes…we are back in Bay City. Make sure you both are home. We’ll be there in fifteen minutes or so.
    Rachel hangs up and Carl puts his arm around her.
    Carl: I can’t believe it. I’m gonna finally see my children after all this time.
    Rachel: And they’re gonna be glad to see you.
    Frankie: You’re gonna be with your family.
    Rachel: And it’s time for you to be with yours…Cass and Charlie.

    CASS is with NICOLE…as NICOLE lies in bed.
    Nicole: Thank you for being here for me Cass.

    Cass: Nicole, I don’t want to hear anything else about the past alright. You need to focus on beating this thing. This thing that your father caused you to have.
    Nicole: It’s not Reginald’s fault that I lied.
    Cass: It’s his fault that you were separated from your child. It’s his fault that you were locked up and drugged repeatedly against your will. Reginald is the reason you’re here now. I’m not leaving your side.
    John walks in with his chart.
    Cass: John.
    John: Hey Cass. Nicole I’ve set up your first chemo session for tomorrow. In the meantime I strongly suggest you get some rest. Chemotherapy is a grueling, and painful process, and you’re gonna need all your strength.
    Nicole: Well my son is coming to take me home today.

    Reginald: I’ve spoken to the hotel manager, and I am no longer paying for your stay here. You have to be out of here by tonight.

    Reginald: I’ve taken care of things for Nicole.
    Allen: Just like you did when you kept her locked up and drugged in Pinehaven! Where the hell am I gonna stay?
    Reginald: Well that’s not my problem is it?
    Allen: After all the bidding I did for you, you’re gonna turn your back on me! You cold hearted bastard!
    Reginald: I’m headed to the hospital to check on my daughter.

    Carl and Frankie walk in, and Cory and Elizabeth are shell-shocked.

    Rachel: Believe me, he’s real. Your father’s alive.
    Elizabeth slowly approaches Carl, and Cory right behind her.

    Rachel: But I also can see that…bittersweet feeling in your eyes. You want to reunite with Cass and Charlie. You still love Cass.

    Kirkland gets out of the shower with only a towel wrapped around his waist, and goes to grab the folder that Paul Williams gave him.


    Kirkland: I'm gonna win this election.


    Meanwhile, downstairs at the bar, the MAN working for Grant slips some money to the male bartender who just slept with Kirkland. IN return, the bartender gives the MAN a flash drive, and the MAN gets on the phone with Grant.


    Man: Got what you need sir. I think this will get Kirkland to drop out of the race.


    Grant: Well get back to Bay City. The plane is waiting for you at the Tarmac. I'm dying to see it.

    GRANT'S HOUSE


    He answers the knock on the door.


    Grant: Charlie?


    Charlie: Hi Grant. Can I come in?


    Grant: Umm....sure come on in. What brings you by?


    Charlie: Have you seen Kirkland?


    Grant: No I haven't. Is there something wrong?


    Charlie: I really need to talk to him.


    Grant becomes curious as to why Charlie wants to talk to Kirkland...

    Allen and Amanda lie in bed.


    Amanda: I never thought I'd be in the Love Mansion, making love to you.


    Allen: You know you're the best thing that's ever happened to me.


    Amanda: Oh I'm sure you've had other occurrences in your life you can think of.


    Allen: No...you are. You're sweet, kind, beautiful, strong. Your parents a hell of a woman. You know I wasn't raised with my parents. I was raised at a boarding school thanks to Reginald.


    Amanda flashes back to overhearing Allen threaten to kill Reginald in the hospital.


    Amanda: But you found your mother right?


    Allen: We were kept apart by Reginald.


    Amanda: He bought my father's company.


    Allen: He's got his paws in everything doesn't he?


    Amanda: Can we not talk about your grandfather?


    Allen: You're right. Let's talk about things that are gonna make us grow.


    Amanda looks under the covers.


    Amanda: I love things that grow.


    They kiss and make love.

    Marley walks in with a paper bag. Tyrone is at his desk working.


    Tyrone: Hey.


    Marley: Hi. I got you some...lunch?


    Tyrone: Smells like...

    Tyrone: Won ton soup. You must be trying to apologize for something.


    Marley (taking out the soup and giving it to Tyrone): I'm sorry.


    Tyrone: Bout what baby?


    Marley: About pushing to have Allen move in with us. Clearly you were uncomfortable with the idea.


    Tyrone: Marley...


    Marley: I should have been more understanding about the type of relationship you two had, and I should not have tried to force you to make up.


    Tyrone: Marley stop.


    Tyrone puts his hands on Marley's shoulders.


    Tyrone: I admire that you care about your family. That's one of the reasons why I love you. Don't ever change. You were doing what you thought was right.


    They kiss, and Marley suddenly pulls away.


    Marley: I...I feel sick I gotta go to the bathroom.


    Tyrone: And when you get out I'm taking you to the hospital.

    Grant: I haven't talked to Kirkland since the day he announced his candidacy.


    Charlie: Thanks...I've tried to tell Kirkland to make amends with you, but he just won't. He's losing so much time. I felt the same way toward my mother, but we made up.


    Grant: That's all I want. To be close to my son. We were back then, but I guess he resents me for trying to take him away from Victoria.


    Charlie: It happened a long time ago and he should forgive you.


    Grant: He doesn't want to unfortunately.


    Charlie: He's got so much goodness. I don't like to see his resentment eat him up so much. I see how much it hurts him.


    Grant: You really....care about my son don't you?


    Charlie: Yeah...yeah I do. I've fallen for him.


    Grant: Oh...is that right? I thought you two were just friends.


    Charlie: Yeah that's why I came here. I wanted to tell him in person.

    Marley: It's not that serious. I don't know why you took me to the hospital.


    Tyrone: You've been looking flushed the last few days. You've probably some virus, and I didn't wanna take any chances.

    John walks up to them with a prescription.


    Marley: Is that for an antibiotic?


    Tyrone: I'm gonna make sure she takes them on time.


    John: No. It's for prenatal vitamins.


    Tyrone: Prenatal vitamins? She's sick. She's been throwing up.


    John: That's morning sickness.


    Marley: What are you saying Uncle John?


    John: Congratulations. You two are having a baby.


    Tyrone and Marley look at each other. Shocked, but happy.

    Elizabeth: These came.


    Rachel: Hi honey.


    Elizabeth: I guess they're reopening the Harbor Club.


    Rachel: Looks like an invitation. You can put the other letter on the couch. You know your father and I went out to the Center last night.


    Elizabeth: Oh my goodness. Pigs are flying. I thought you'd never go down there.


    Rachel: Your father really enjoyed it.


    Elizabeth: It was his first time there wasn't it?


    Rachel: Yep. Maybe you and your father can do down there together. He'd love to spend some time with you and your brother.


    Cory walks up to the double doors unseen..


    Elizabeth: You know I'm really happy that dad is back.


    Rachel: He says that you and Cory kept him going when he was really sick. Carl adores you and Cory very much.

    Donna: Our family deserves some happiness after everything that's happened. I did this for you, Marley, Nicole, and the grandkids.


    Marley walks up to them..

    Marley hugs Vicky and Donna.


    Marley: Did someone say grandkids?


    Donna: We were talking about the club. I was talking about opening the club for Steven, Kirkland, Bridget, and Michele.


    Marley: I think you forgot one grandchild Donna.


    Marley rubs her stomach.


    Vicky: Oh my God! You're expecting!!! I'm gonna be an aunt!


    Donna: Oh! Oh! Congratulations!!!!

    Jake: How long has it been since you left Bay City?

    Vicky: We gotta start getting things ready. I'll help you pick out the nursery colors....and a crib. You're gonna need a crib for the baby. I'm gonna buy clothes and babysit.


    Marley: I'm so glad I got you two.


    Donna: You're gonna start thinking of some names.


    Marley: We were discusssing that one night. If it's a girl we're gonna name her after Tyrone's grandmother.


    Vicky: And if it's a boy?


    Marley: We'll name him after daddy.


    Donna: You know I wish your father was here to see his girls finally happy. I've decided to re-name the Harbor Club. It's...the M and M Harbor Club.


    Marley: After candy?


    Donna: No Marley. M and M stands for Michael...and Michele.


    Vicky: I miss them so much.


    Marley: We all do.


    Donna: That's why we have to stick together.


    Reginald walks in unseen and sees Donna, Vicky and Marley.


    Donna: We can't let anyone break our bond.


    Vicky: And we got a little one to look out for now.

    Stacey: I left for Los Angeles over twenty years ago.
    Jake: Los Angeles. You know Ive never been there.


    Cass and Stacey are silent, as they realize Jake has no memory of being with Stacey.


    Stacey: Hey I gotta get going.


    Jake: Good to see you again Stacey.


    Stacey: Back atcha Jake. Cass I'll call you.


    Cass: Alright sis.


    Stacey walks off and Jake notices Stacey's coffee cup with lipstick on it. He then has a flashback of a drinking glass at a bar, with that similar color of lipstick.


    Cass: Jake you okay?


    Jake: I think so.


    Cass: Why do you keep looking at Stacey's coffee cup?


    Jake: I wasn't looking at the cup. It's the lipstick. It's almost like I've seen that lipstick before.


    Cass: Maybe you were a drag queen?


    Jake: I'm serious man.


    Cass: Come on lots of ladies wear that color lipstick.


    Jake: It's that shade of lipstick that I've seen before...it was on a glass. I just can't put my finger on where.

    CORY MANSION - FOYER


    Cory: What makes you think something's wrong dad? Maybe I just need to go study.


    Carl: I sense a little distance between us. Maybe I can help us get closer.


    Cory: I don't need your help dad.


    Carl: I'm not oblivious that I've had a checkered past, and it's affecting you. Makes me regret even more the things I've done to your mother, and Mackenzie. Amanda and Iris may never forgive me for it.


    Rachel and Elizabeth approach them.


    Elizabeth: Well all of that happened years ago before we were even born Cory. Dad is not that person anymore.


    Rachel: He's changed honey. You two might not be here if I didn't think that.


    Cory: Have you changed dad? Can you prove it? You can start by telling us where you were the other day. Mom was sick with worry that you had just left and didn't tell her where you were going.


    Rachel: I'd like to know that, too Carl.


    Carl: I was....out getting some air.


    Cory: Tell us dad. You were out there plotting and carrying out some plan of yours weren't you?


    Rachel: Cory that's enough.


    Cory: You're defending him again mom?


    Elizabeth: Cory why do you hate dad so much? He has done nothing but love us.


    Cory: It's the secrecy and the lies that I hate. I don't think you've changed at all dad. You're the monster that people say you are.


    Cory leaves.


    Rachel: Cory you get back here!


    Carl: No Rachel...let him go.


    Rachel hugs Carl, but Rachel has somewhat of a doubtful look on her face.
