I don't understand why they feel the need to stroke Eric Braeden's ego like this. But then again it's really not that different from the hoops GH are jumping through to keep Maurice Benard happy.

Brad Bell really is one of the most un-creative writers around. He keeps on repeating storylines over and over again. First it was Brooke/Ridge/Taylor, then it was Hope/Liam/Steffy and now it's Steffy vs Finn's insane relatives.

I guess we have just proved why Brad Bell keeps circling back to Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. It still gets people engaged and talking. There's not a lot of positives being said, but I guess Brad Bell subscribes to the idea that any kind of audience reaction is better than no reaction at all.

Is this really happening?! Practically all of the 1977 episodes of Emmerdale Farm has been uploaded to Youtube!

That was beautiful. It can also serve as an example of how far soaps have fallen since then. You would never hear anything like that on any soap nowadays. You'd never get a scene long enough to have someone read a eulogy like that to begin with. It's all plot, plot and more plot now, and the human, emotional part is missing.

I really, really, really hope that they don't have Charity offering to be a surrogate for Sarah now that she had to have a hysterectomy. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but when they (Charity and Sarah) had a bad argument before Sarah's surgery it just feels like a setup for Charity to do something like that out of guilt. Please, please, please Emmerdale, prove me wrong!!
