I felt already at the time that it was a rather odd story. Like you said, why would it matter that much (or at all) to J.R. if Sue Ellen released that movie? It's not like everyone didn't know already what a scumbag and sleaze he was... But by that time my interest in Dallas was waning anyway so I didn't give it more thought than that.

I think the best thing Mitch brought to the show was Afton!

Thank heavens that none of Greece, San Marino or Romania qualified. They were all absolutely awful. During the 1990s Greece entered some of my all-time favourites (Horepse, Olou tou kosmou i elpida, Pia prosefchi) but their entry this year was one of the worst I've ever heard....

Oh my god.... General Hospital hasn't aired here for years, but I vividly remember Bobbie Spencer from when I watched it when it did air here in the early 1990s. We were a few years behind so we saw the 1986-89 era, and although the story that kept me hooked was Grant Putnam and the kidnapping of Anna, Bobbie was a major presence during that period too, so she's always been one of the faces of GH for me. R.I.P.

Personally I find it surprising that Croatia qualified. That song and/or performance was so bad! It probably benefitted from the absence of jury votes in the semi-finals.

Still think we should have won Eurovision last year with this....

I remember him as Major Reinhardt from the 1970s WWII drama "Secret Army".
