  1. Ellen has apparently put Alan in touch with Eileen. I. CANNOT. WAIT. Scott said Liza Minnelli was “trouble.” Say it ain’t so!
  2. Larkin Malloy dated Marcia Cross??? BEARDS!!!
  3. I doubt anyone is still wondering why Kristi Ferrell never returned to GL. She’s a fruit loop, God love her. Or was she method-acting and playing “mental breakdown Roxie” 30 years later? Her former co-stars did not seem surprised or fazed by her, tho. I loved it.
  4. The LADIES OF LOVING reunion was Gold Standard. If you didn’t watch LOVING, you should watch this, just to see how well it can be done. Moderators. Questions. One actor at a time. Compared to it, The Locher Room is local access cable from Alan’s basement. They’re just not getting any better.
  5. THE BARBARAS BEFORE: Judi Rollin 1970 (Judi was also on SECRET STORM in 1970, probably after ATWT) Barbara Stanger 1970 (Barbara was on LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED-THING in 1972) Donna Wandrey 1971-72 (Donna had just departed DS) Which Barbara was allegedly anorexic? Which Barbara pursued stepfather Bob inappropriately? Colleen Zenk said that upon Barbara’s return to Oakdale in 1978, she had to apologize to every member of the Hughes family for weeks on end.
  6. He would definitely be the one to arrange one, given his ongoing relationships with Marcia, Jane, and more. He was also very close with Louan Gideon before she died.
  7. It got better! Caitlin is hoping to become a nurse. She has a baby. She had the lapband removed, she said. Bonnie has twins. She and Caitlin are still best friends but didn’t like each other at first. Apparently Bonnie came in with a little bit of an attitude and Caitlin was like “I’ve got all the friends on the show!” Helen the makeup artist told them, look, you two need to be friends. Orlagh looks great and seems to be doing great, careerwise. Jessica added nothing to this. Murray reminisced about Marj. Thought she’d be old-fashioned and not kiss for real. He was wrong!
  8. I guess we’re no longer commenting on The Locher Room’s aired episodes. LOL. Did anyone watch the Doris/Ashlee/Daisy/Cyrus/Natalia show? I’m struggling through the bad audio (as always) again. I’m asking myself why Leccia is on again. Where’s Grady?
  9. Let’s get Ann Flood, Maeve McGuire, Anita Gillette, and Patrick Tovatt in there! SFT had a great cast at the end.
  10. Honey, you’re FB friends with her. Ask her. LOL “Another of the show’s longtime stars, who played the ongoing nemesis of Mary‘s (Stuart, Jo) character, was unexpectedly and unceremoniously fired after more than a decade on the show. Someone had overheard her in the make-up room the day before, reading about some natural disaster that had made headlines in the paper. She dryly quipped, ‘Over a hundred people killed. Tsk tsk. And not one of them was a writer.’ The walls certainly had ears and someone rattled to The Powers That Be. Viewers wound up seeing her start a scene with her TV daughter on a Tuesday and an entirely new actress picking up mid-conversation on a Wednesday. (This is not a business known for its job security.)“ —Nelson Aspen, HOLLYWOOD INSIDER EXPOSED! Nelson worked on SFT in-front of and behind the camera.
  11. Yeah, it needs to be Jean Carol. Or at least Aubrey Dollar.
  12. They could’ve kept her longer. But they fired her.
  13. “Listen, Cookie! That Chrissy-Boy Goutman won’t let ol’ Hoagie-Boy Sheffer write for me! It’s all about That Carly!”
  14. The scene where Lisa escorts Ellen to the clearance rack and shows her “some lovely things that are ON SALE” always cracks me up. I gotta find it. I think it’s on the DVDs. Eileen knew how to deliver a line. And an ad-lib.
  15. I believe Lisa asked her to leave Fashions Ltd because Ellen had already cleaned out the sale rack.
  16. Finn Carter is out-acting Martha in that clip, tho! Debbi Morgan was under 25 then? Angie was always old.
  17. Yes, it’s a great book. I just skimmed it again and thought I’d ask about her role on TD. I was never a fan of Danielle! Sorry!
  18. I remember this. I so wanted Robin Wright to win because she was just so beautiful and natural as Kelly. I totally respected Ellen Wheeler’s talent though, and as an AW fan, I was happy she won. But watching the clips again—Damn! Give Jane Krakowski that Emmy!
  19. I hated that Reva lost “her” family. She was firmly a Lewis for the last 15 years, even when her last name wasn’t Lewis. Hawk and Rusty could’ve continued on as supporting. I remember they met Cassie. (Alan Locher called her “Cassie Shayne.” Lawd, no. She was Shady LAYNE.) Sarah didn’t need to be killed off to introduce Cassie either. I just felt sad that Roxie lived out her life in some mental institution, similar to Ken Norris before her (for over 20 years). Even recasting Roxie and making her a rival of Cassie could’ve been very interesting.
  20. Who did Julie Mannix play on TD circa 1966? She was 21 in real life but looked younger. She probably wasn’t on for more than a few months. She went on to play Wendy on THE SECRET STORM (22 playing 16) and April on THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. She mentions being cast on TD in her memoir, SECRET STORMS, a fascinating read.
  21. Holden always seemed to be in a coma around Labor Day. Even when he was conscious. Himbo!
  22. Kristi Ferrell isn’t hard to find. She’s been on and off FB over the years. I don’t know if GL ever asked her to return. I seem to recall she was dealing with family issues, possibly caring for her parents. I think she taught acting for soaps/TV. And, I don’t mean to be cruel, but I don’t think she remained “television perfect.” This is a medium that requires, with a few exceptions (Zimmer, Judi Evans at one time, Jordan Clarke), actors to be slim and beautiful. Patrika Darbo on DAYS and Kathy Brier on OLTL challenged daytime norms. Their characters had hot husbands! But nothing changed across the board. I’ll just be happy to see Kristi again!
  23. I somehow feel that Eileen is not well. That makes me sad to think that, but I just feel that perhaps she wouldn’t be able to participate or that perhaps that she wouldn’t want to appear. I hope I’m wrong.
  24. I’d have to look at the timeline, but it appears that Denise was hired as Katie to replace Fran Myers as Peggy in the nurses station. Fran went to California and they needed someone behind that desk. Denise didn’t remember who she replaced in that “role.” Alan said he couldn’t find THE CRADLE WILL FALL online/streaming but it’s been on YouTube for years. Jerry seemed much more engaged this time and I’d love to see him again with his former love interests in a Ross-centric episode: Sherry. Liz. Jane. Toby. Kathleen. Maureen. Jean Carol. I’d love to see Mary Kay Adams in there too and hear why India/Ross didn’t happen. Until my dream episode of Mart, Lenore, Maureen, Millette, and Fran...I’ll keep watching but the “older” the better!
  25. Deborah Mehren AND her mother, Leona Herbert? This isn’t referenced in ANY soap history books. Me thinks someone had a very fun time writing this fanfic. SoapCentral is, quite simply, often wrong.
