Bless their eternal struggle to even fund enough extra to fill all those chairs.
I noticed that Billy Davis’ character had disappeared before the wedding started. And after he told Eli on Friday that he wouldn’t have missed the wedding for anything. . Guess Days could only afford him for that one scene.

The weird/interesting thing is that wedding occurred in 1969 and Virginia arrived in the mid 70's.
Was it Doug Marland who brought her on?
Would he have known the maiden name of the wife of a crew member?
Speaking of Marland and names, he always included the name Beatrice on the shows he wrote as it was his mother's name.
AW Beatrice Gordon
GH Beatrice Hewitt
GL Bea Reardon
ATWT Beatrice McKechnie
I'm trying to recall a Beatrice on Loving?
I think Margaret DePriest created most of the Dancys, including Virginia.

Oops, we posted at the same time. Maybe DePriest knew them through her time when she acted on TD in 1968?

I put up a post after reading this. I doubt we'll find anything, but there's always a possibility someone with old magazines or a newspaper article may be out there.
Finding a child actor/actress from that long ago isn't going to be easy, but I have been lucky to have some great resources of information there.
.
@slick jones I posted this on your FB page too. Ann Wedgeworth's daughter (Diana/Dianna Martin) played Susannah starting in March 1973. Don't know how long she played the role.

Yes, I can see the resemblance. I don't think Kim is supposed to be a good singer, but I'm still not sure exactly what they were going for in that scene.
It was so random and weird. She was acting like she had been in a relationship with Luke and had lost him to Missy.

Jane Fleiss reminds me of Lisa Brown sometimes. Cannot say I enjoyed her singing the other day.

Thank you for sharing that with us. Holy crap those last few photos probably scared the hell out of readers.
No kidding. I saw a bit of this story but didn’t see this part.

Trying this again. From January 1976, Afternoon TV.

So sorry to see this. John was an excellent actor and Mickey was one of the best characters to appear on a soap. I'd give anything to see his stories again.

It was so nice waking up and seeing the comments.
Marcia McCabe and Louise and Maree all in a few hours.
It's great that they appreciate their fans.
It is. And nice to see your hard work is appreciated too!
I noticed that Janice Lynde loved your Nicolas Coster post!

Love seeing the comments!

I believe Kitty somehow had a tape recording of Tom and Laura talking about Mickey being sterile. She and Bill were arguing over that when she had her heart attack. Bill kept silent about it during his trial because no one wanted Mickey to find out.
Mickey and Laura had bonded while they were working on Susan Martin's insanity defense (for shooting her husband, David). Bill was out of town at that time.

I agree with the comments about what Ron has done re Julie. I have enjoyed the Doug and Julie scenes in which they've been alone, but I give credit to Susan and Bill for that. Now Ron seems to be working on dragging down Kayla, making her an incompetent and unethical doctor. And none of this is making me like Gabi either. Just makes me resent her.

Is Tony still around?
He's been in Paris with Chad and Abby, on the DOOL app series, or whatever they're calling it.

Hate that they've gotten hate tweets.
Bill handles their Twitter account and he is so sweet about talking to the fans and reminiscing, I don’t know how anyone could be hateful to him. I’m expecting it to start back up soon with this current story.

I get why that's racist, but at the same time, I don't think it was meant to be written as such. It IS something a woman of Julie's age would, sadly, say. But yeah ... I mean, they addressed it but it's not something that should of had to be addressed. Now fans cling to Julie as some lying racist and "poor Gabi" ... bothers me so much. I love Gabi too but she's anything but innocent, LOL
This is what caused Bill and Susan to start getting the hate tweets and prompted Bill to remind people that the actors don’t write their stories.

Julie started making the comments with the racial undertones last December when she called Gabi “chiquita” during their showdown. Then she made some similar remarks when talking about Gabi to Abby. Before that she always made it clear that she hated Gabi because she murdered Nick. Coincidentally, Stefan started making similar comments to Gabi at the same time but there hasn’t been any uproar over that. I could wring Ron’s neck for starting this. I didn’t watch OLTL but I understand that he had KDP’s character call a Latina character, “chiquita,” on there. He probably thought he was being funny.

Sweet Jesus! Fans who want Susan Seaforth Hayes to die?!!!! I can't take that.
It's insane but I guess it's a testament to her skills that she can still evoke strong responses after all these years. She and Bill were actually on a hit list (with Jane Fonda and some others) in the 80s. The guy was arrested before he got to California.

If people are really wanting Julie to die, that makes me ill.
Not all. Just the Gabi and Stefan stans, lol. Some of the idiots have wished for SSH herself to die though.

Wait. We had pot doughnuts? I watched all of today and all live and I missed that. But, I do swear and declare that they made me think Julie had just died. Really shook me. Doug and Julie cannot die! I won't have it.
But, yes, their scenes were great. Best of all week. I continue to commend SSH for letting them make her look so bad! Not all actresses will do it.
Yeah, Kate/LK even still had full make-up, including smokey eye after all the dirt had been washed off of her face. My favorite part today was when Julie asked Doug whether she had been a good wife. I teared up at that because I felt it was also Susan asking Bill.
