  1. Agree. The new opening and the hospital sets being sort of a pink color is mentally where Riche lives. But she almost a year to get there. I went back after my post and watched a bunch of edits from her first year. Seeing characters like Karen and Jagger at the nurses station with the old colors just seems wrong. But again, the hospital refresh happens towards the end of 1992, and the new intro is April of 1993.
  2. I watched a very old edit with Alan, before he was married to Monica. She and the original Rick were in the scenes too. It started with Alan and Rick at the hospital, and they are on the pre-Monty set. It was so strange to see Alan on that set, even though I know he was on the show during that transition period. But in my mind it just doesn’t fit. It’s kind of like watching Riche episodes with the old ambulance opening. I watched the show live back then, and she was EP for a year before Faces of the Heart. But it seems strange now to see the old era bumped up against the new when I see full episodes from that time.
  3. She had a scene at the Q mansion too around the Finn appearance, letting Lois know she could stay as long as she wanted to. She was in a wheelchair IIRC.
  4. I assume the conversion to digital and HD from the film takes time for that many episodes.
  5. How sad to see this news. Poor Susan. A lifetime together, so devoted and in love. I hope she feels all the compassion and warmth that their castmates and all the fans are sending her way. He was a charming, lovely person, who lived an incredible life.
  6. I think it’s both now. I think they should leave the Kelly’s branded mugs and menus, and now we have the tribute to Bobbie with the new name.
  7. I think the memorial ended up being really lovely, especially because of what constraints these shows operate under now. I appreciate the flashbacks showed just how complete and complex Bobbie was. When she was still on contract all those years I really felt like Bobbie may have bettered herself and overcome a lot, but she still had that fire in her. This was a lovely tribute to Jackie as well. Also, can we keep Ryan Carnes please? And that Champ scene at the end really got me. These writers have their issues, but they really know how to utilize Kristina Wagner and get Felicia. And I have many complaints over the years with Frank. But he has done right by the long term veterans on this show several times.
  8. I concede that, Rick Webber/Chris Robinson as well. But Alan was a huge loss to the show, and Rick was at least a major character for a decade. I even enjoyed Britt. I will forever think it is tacky for her to be there next to all of the other folks on that wall now that I know it is her.
  9. Yes I know, and I think it’s tacky to put photos up for people that died in a storyline and their performer is still living. Surrounded by beloved performers that have actually died. And yet, it’s filled almost exclusively with the photos of actual dead people. I had no idea they were putting people like Britt up there.
  10. Oh thanks. Britt? They are actually putting photos up for people still alive in real life? That’s kind of tacky. I think the audience knows that wall is for people that are actually gone.
  11. Can anyone tell me who the woman with long dark hair on the memorial wall is? I just can’t get a good enough look at them. Their photo is almost directly above Bobbie’s now. When Laura was standing there yesterday I just couldn’t figure out who it was. I saw Lila, Amy, Gail, etc but cannot figure out this one.
  12. On Night Shift season 2 Anna wore her original lace wedding dress with Robert from the flashbacks around the time Robin came on, establishing their history. So they do have older garments in their storage, or at least used to. No idea if Bob Miller was there then. I know they thought they had Laura’s dress and discovered it was missing during the dreadful Rick Webber murder storyline.
  13. I didn’t mind Jason/Brenda so much. I just can’t see it as long term. Although if we had gotten to see Sam’s baby story with Brenda like it was supposed to be maybe my mind could have been changed. This does remind me though of Steve telling them they should bring Robin back. And Kimberly agreeing as long as they don’t redo Jason/Robin. The whole point was he wanted her as a love interest again, and she was like nah.
  14. It’s too bad she isn’t as quickly called out as one of the greats in this genre. She clearly wrote incredible material with her partners over the years. Complex writing. I can’t imagine any of those shows without her characters. I saw online someone posted her race to the stage to accept the SB Emmy before JFP could get there. Iconic.
  15. Sad news about Bridget. She was really woven into those first decade plus of the show, first by writing scripts, then taking over from her parents. She was certainly a character herself.
  16. I really enjoyed seeing those two scenes with Stuart Damon and Amber Tamblyn. The bloopers were fun too. Overall it was cheesy, which is fine for these sorts of shows. Much like the regular show it lacked emotion for me. We didn’t see anything truly dramatic represented, just light frothy walk and talks. No sign of Finn though!
  17. Neither of these people look happy! KM is literally leaning away from him! At least he and LW are smiling in the other photos I saw. This is not how you promote something!
  18. Just the good lord and Monavie.
  19. I’m not usually into bashing looks, but he does look like he was starved then boiled. It’s harsh.
  20. I think that was disgusting. But also kind of funny how outraged people seem to be when this is truly mild compared to what used to go down on this show, by Sonny. Like almost all of the 2000’s Guza run, especially women were terribly written for. All these people are scum!
  21. And they were long because Labine used the hour format to let things breathe more, not cram more into it. It was an experiment to her. And Guza inherited a strong writing team that was used to writing those long scenes and filling each episode with depth. Every character had a personality and a point of view, even if they were not explored as well as other characters were.
  22. What cracks me up about the pacing is virtually all well regarded and watched drama on network and streaming pace things out almost painfully. We have a genre that traditionally shows the audience every step, but not Valentini. We have an EP obsessed with speed, and yet also not moving things forward. Doesn’t he watch anything else on tv? He makes almost a clip show and is seemingly embarrassed of anything truly dramatic happening.
  23. Yeah that would have helped. Him saying he was going to bring Bobbie home just felt wrong.
  24. I actually found the scenes between Carly and Drew to be very superficial. The dialogue is terrible and very cliched. Laura Wright is doing a fine job acting what has been given to her, as she always does. But the words she had to say lack character. I appreciate what they are doing. It doesn’t help that I have been watching tons of older Bobbie stuff and what is discussed in the classic thread. I almost wish we would be left with Laura Wright in silence, feeling her emotions while they showed a couple of flashbacks. Because her acting is great, it’s just the lines that are failing them. But letting something breathe is not Frank’s style.
