  1. The state polls are moving toward Trump. They were before the FBI thing though. I don't know if that means his lead will further increase, or if the Democrats who were losing enthusiasm per polling will wake up. Unless they are losing enthusiasm because of the FBI leak. I just wonder who these Democrats are? Are that that fickle? Why do so many Democrats waver and stay home while Republicans always fall into line when it matters?
  2. This is just ridiculous and frightening as well. These people are supposed to be in charge of keeping us safe and all they can do is sink deeper and deeper into pettiness. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/fbi-twitter-link-william-clinton-foundation-marc-rich
  3. March 15 2002 episode. Some classic Kat scenes and lines in this. I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoyed her in these years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uvsck_05zhc
  4. Thanks. I remember when Frum was a big conservative voice for writing W speeches. Weird how much has changed in the last decade. All tied up in NC - and this is another poll that was done before Comey decided to help Trump. It's frightening, and yet oddly predictable, how many states governed by bigotry, hate and fear refuse to ever back down, even as North Carolina has seen its economy devastated thanks to hate and bigotry. Yet they are still inching toward reelecting a proud bigot. http://www.politico.com/blogs/swing-states-2016-election/2016/11/poll-who-is-winning-in-north-carolina-230583
  5. More on early voting in Florida, with some of the turnout concerns I'd mentioned a few weeks back. I wonder if any of it is down to voter suppression laws. http://www.politico.com/states/florida/story/2016/10/clinton-campaign-struggles-in-getting-african-americans-to-early-voting-polls-106931
  6. Ugh. Chris Cillizza is admiringly quoting that fucknut Palin for his "Obama was so deluded, ha ha" screed. I think it's time I stop reading that site for good. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/31/what-barack-obama-has-failed-to-do/
  7. Bayh and his Republican opponent tied in Indiana, which means it's going the red way. It's a shame Bayh turned out to be so rusty and had so many bits in his past about being out of touch, as he's likely the only one who could have won his seat back. Democrats need any seat they can get as the far right drumbeat to block any Clinton SCOTUS nominee keeps building. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/indiana-senate-young-bayh-tied-230538
  8. Thanks. That was a good article from many who have been taken for granted this cycle. Voter fraud! Voter fraud! http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/trump-supporter-charged-with-voting-twice
  9. Linda Evans interview about ten minutes in.
  10. One of the reasons the polls are now tied or shifting toward Trump is because more Republicans, including those with college degrees that often huff and puff about how they don't like Trump, are moving toward him. It's another example of why Democrats are better off spending less and less time making any effort toward wooing the fantasy of a moderate Republican that died somewhere around 1980. Most Republicans would vote for a lunatic, and happily do so, over any Democrat ever. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/30/white-republicans-are-coming-home-to-donald-trump-at-just-the-right-time/
  11. Most of the former feds criticizing Comey are Clinton-leaning (although I agree with them), so it will get drowned in the noise machine. I don't think most people will vote based on this, although it makes me wary that a poll out yesterday did have a small sample of Clinton voters (somewhere between 7-15% I think) who said it would or may affect their vote. That might be enough given how tight the polls are. I think right now she'd win but it will be very close. But it was tightening even before this so I don't think the letter will make a difference. The main difference is it enlivens a pro-Trump media who have been looking for ways to help him on the comeback trail or at the very least help their GOP heroes keep Congress.
  12. That's why I said nearly. He ran what he thought was a principled campaign where he only spent the minimal amount against his opponent, while his opponent and the various GOP committees blasted him nonstop. The Democratic committees had to bail him out near the end and he barely won in a good year. It's one of the reasons some in Wisconsin were hoping he wouldn't run again. I do hope he wins, as he was a good senator.
  13. More money is being dumped in WI because they're concerned about him losing. He also has a history of nearly losing races he was supposed to win (this happened in 1998). If they thought he was fine their cash would be going elsewhere. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/russ-feingold-wisconsin-senate-democrats-funds-230446
  14. Did they ever change the law to stop that (a certain part voting a different way)? I know they said they would after Obama won.
  15. Looks like the polls were tightening in various states like Florida and nationally even before Comey. It seems like people always act appalled by Trump but then fall back into line. Various races like WI Senate (Feingold has always been a poor campaigner) are also tightening. It's frightening to think that people are stupid or complacent enough to where Trump might win and Democrats might pick up one or two Senate seats at best. Maybe this Comey mess is a good thing as it will further remind Hillary voters to take nothing for granted.
  16. Someone has put some high quality versions of classic Emmerdale episodes back up on YT. Nothing that is new, but still, if you haven't seen or want to save, you may want to before they go. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBGVRNDJ0kHpkxn5tv1y6wQ/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
  17. Kim had her usual red solo cup in hand. She says wine tastes best from its plastic lips
  18. Huma seems to be like a daughter to her so I can't see that happening. The Clintons are loyal to a fault, but sometimes it is a very big fault. It's a shame that she tolerated so much from Anthony Weiner, who seems to be a complete and total shitstain.
  19. Ross is about the same as she is, deep down - it's one of the reasons he was so hurt she chose Cain, and why he then slept with her only to insult her afterward. I do hope this is the end of this crap for Charity, but I don't know how rare it is even for people her age - Cain is as bad as she is, then there's the disaster with Zak and Joanie. If the show bothers to explore then at least there are reasons for her behavior. I'd rather they address this and move on than more of this wicked Charity stuff. And if hypocrite Chas says a peep I hope Charity decks her. I'd be happy to have less of the interchangeable stories with women fighting about or over men. It's all very tedious.
  20. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/28/the-fbis-october-surprise-just-made-hillary-clintons-awful-week-even-worse/ The giddiness from the Beltway is stomach-churning. "Man. What an election." They're loving this. It fits into a narrative already being pushed by the media about how Clinton is doing poorly again and Trump is on the comeback. They even outline in detail about how this will be sure to rev up Republicans and keep Democrats at home. You can already see the narratives they will push 24/7 to the election to make sure at the very least Republicans keep Congress and Trump only barely loses. Then they can get more of what they love best - years of investigations and scandals, and hysteria surrounding two people they've hated for over 20 years. And plenty of ratings too. I just hope voters won't fall for this, but so many are always eager to jump on the "dishonest Clinton - at least with Trump what you see is what you get" and "they're both the same, why bother?" bandwagon, it's hard to expect anything different. I just wish people could see through the media lies and realize they will be ruining their futures if they keep the GOP in charge of Congress.
  21. Did they give poor Lisa a Bumpit?
  22. They never gave a damn about that. They loved getting to ride around in tanks and make somber faces. It was a big video game to them. This is the same thing they did with the Clintons during the '90s. It's what they tried to do with Obama but he was too smart for them (see all the desperate attempts to make "Fast & Furious" a big scandal). And we're right back in it. This is why I don't believe that they really want Trump to lose. They tut-tut but they enable at every turn.
  23. And some would likely still have you believe that the FBI or Comey are trying to help her, even though this is yet another time he has sandbagged her in the most damaging way. The GOP must love him - the media must adore him, as this is what they need for Trump and to help the GOP keep the Senate. I don't think Trump will win, but it will tighten an already tightening race even further. For some reason this man who gets press gushing for predicting Trump will win is getting even more gushing for still predicting it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/10/28/professor-whos-predicted-30-years-of-presidential-elections-correctly-is-doubling-down-on-a-trump-win/?tid=pm_politics_pop_b
  24. But ATWT didn't need all big leading men. When they tried that it just led to generic mannequins.
