  1. I was shocked when I saw that. Most casual viewers would have had no idea who he was (or would have said, "Mason knocked up Brooke!")
  2. An early Christmas gift from saynotoursoap. video gone
  3. Thanks for sharing these. Was this when Love Sidney was still around?
  4. I think during the Heather/Scotty days he was...very attractive.
  5. Big shocker - Bob Woodward, who's spent the last 4 years trying to make sure everyone knows about Obama's failings and that Obama just doesn't fit in with DC culture, is making sure we know that the debt ceiling failure is all his fault. http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/woodward-on-fiscal-cliff-no-way-to-govern-84617.html TNR complained about this a few months ago. http://www.tnr.com/book/review/bob-woodward-price-of-politics# In other news, Jim DeMint, extreme conservative and purity contest champion, is leaving the Senate immediately to run the Heritage Foundation. http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/jim-demint-retires-to-head-heritage-foundation-84687.html One of DeMint's issues is wanting to stop gays and unwed mothers from teaching, so don't be surprised if this comes up in a lot of races soon. The frontrunner to replace him is Rep Tim Scott. He's very popular with conservatives, as he is very far to the right, and he's black, which means the media will get to write a ton of stories about how much the GOP treasures minorities, and how the Democrats don't have any black senators, so they're racist in comparison to the GOP. http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/tim-scotts-bio-raises-senate-appeal-84719.html?hp=f3 Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina, is in the DeMint way of thinking, but she also has a lot of cronies, so it will be interesting to see what she'll do.
  6. He must have known this wasn't going to pass - he always seemed to be a very intelligent man (even if I don't think he should have been President) - so I hope he showed up for the vote just to shame them. When the media tells everyone that Marco Rubio is their hero and the stud of the ages, remind people of votes like this.
  7. Riche phased him out when she had the chance, so I guess it was someone at ABC higher up. Too bad. I can't see Malone knowing how to write that type of character (he would just be in comic relief stories with Alex), but I wish we'd seen Marco one last time.
  8. I always thought she might have come back only if they agreed to mature Lucy, which they did.
  9. Pathetic. http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/12/republicans-un-treaty-disabled.php?ref=fpblg
  10. Not sure. I think it was mid-1993. Or spring.
  11. Was this from after Brad was kidnapped and Traci lost the baby? Or was this when he first came on the show? I didn't know if Eileen was still around by the time of his kidnapping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SG6k4bdWHGM&list=UL
  12. I read a little about scenes that were cut, that the actors who played Lori and Rick wanted kept in - apparently her spitting in his face after he tells her killed Shane. Someone joked that those were cut because they would have made fans go Defcon-5. I guess Lori's motivations make more sense than Andrea's; on paper the idea of Andrea's divided loyalties and feeling left behind do make sense, just not sure if they have been shown well onscreen. But maybe the upcoming episodes will make more sense.
  13. I'm sorry to hear this. Wasn't she a big part of Dynasty too?
  14. A lot of fans hate Lori, hate Andrea, but you never know how much of that is the writing and how much is fandoms having female issues in general. I just realized how many different types of people post in this thread. Very different people. It just confirms to me again that someone should have done an apocalyptic type daytime soap years ago. (insert Ellen Wheeler GL joke here)
  15. He has that likeable, bland quality that gets a lot of work. I thought the same would have been true for John Driscoll but that never happened.
  16. I think it was a good choice to mostly write new characters into the game. I'm not sure how often you can tell different stories with the same characters. I'm glad they seem to be telling somewhat different stories on TV compared to the comic - of course all the stories will be grim, but there's a certain way to write grimness and death.
  17. I keep hearing so much about the games. I can't afford to buy expensive games, it's why I stopped buying video games, but I will try one eventually. Who are your favorite characters in it? I've sort of read of the comics more than sat down and read them. I guess that's cheating, but I prefer it that way. I'd hate to be reading along and then
  18. Wow. http://gothamist.com/2012/12/04/man_shoots_woman_in_the_back_allege.php
  19. http://www.gq.com/entertainment/tv/blogs/the-stream/2012/12/the-gqa-the-walking-deads-norman-reedus.html#ixzz2E7mr65V6 http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2012/12/andrew-lincoln-interview.php
  20. Probably none at this point. If she's running to give a voice to issues, then I can respect that. I'm just surprised if she thinks she'd win.
  21. The rumors of Ashley Judd running for the Senate in Kentucky are back again. I don't know why she or anyone would think she could be elected. She is a "Hollywood liberal", even if she's originally from Kentucky.
  22. Tyreese's first scene in the comic (I don't think this needs spoilers but if you do:
  23. Beth is original. Oscar was, I think. So was T-Dog. Tyreese's sister is original (in the comic she was his daughter). Michonne knows the Governor probably killed the soldiers, and she knows he captured and tortured people, so that might be enough, but the motivation is flimsy. I've heard comments saying how they feel sorry for him over his daughter, and Michonne is a bitch, etc. I don't think any of that is fair, but I think they should spend more time fleshing Michonne out.
