  1. Thank you for doing that. And if DC goes in on Claire Labine and acts like Ron is the true writer of her, they can kiss my ass.
  2. I saw one clip, but what was the other?
  3. I guess it helped that most of those were solid stories and decisions. I think a lot of writers would have dumped Shannon, but she was very much in Marland's wheelhouse (I don't think she was ever on the backburner in her first stint). I guess the main difference in tone is that he clearly was not a fan of the Andropolous family, or Maggie, and for some reason he seemed to feel he needed to deemphasize the Kim/Betsy relationship.
  4. I don't think Delia was ever trashy the way Roxy was. What annoys me is that Claire Labine helped Ron get his start in daytime, and you just know that instead of asking for any of her input regarding this, he will likely [!@#$%^&*] all over her creation and then tweet that he knows Delia better than anyone and he saved Delia from Claire's drudgery.
  5. I guess either P&G was wary, or the Dobsons wanted to use these characters to try to make their new creations popular.
  6. RON CARLIVATI is going near Delia??? Leave Delia alone! Leave her alone!!! Where is Chris Crocker when you need him. (keep your clothes on Chris...then again, knowing Ron, maybe you should leave them off).
  7. Ammo isn't limitless. Knives are easier, and also less likely to cause accidental injury.
  8. I think they mentioned Frannie and Sabrina in the last Christmas episode.
  9. I don't know, as the show was so focused on phasing out the Hughes family in favor of new characters. MES was great as Frannie and a very good youngish heroine (which the show didn't have a lot of at that point), so she might have gotten some of the stories they later tried giving to characters like Connor.
  10. Anne Heche is recurring on the Michael J. Fox Show.
  11. They also could have had Lisa fighting with that daughter of David's other wife...Karen. I wonder if Eileen would have stayed on the show if she'd had something fun to play. What did you think of Craig back at this time? Most of what I've seen he's mostly blowing up in a neurotic fashion. I think you said you didn't like Cricket or Lyla (not sure what you said about MC's Margo).
  12. That's how I am with Mad Men (well that and I am not a fan of shows that need to teach me about how being gay means being self-destructive and failing at life). I am almost always numb to zombie deaths. It just depends on how the scene is staged, and the performances. I do agree that we need to know more about some people before they die. I don't think the Karen/Tyreese stuff worked for this reason. I would have had her live for at least one more episode.
  13. That story for Ellen and Lisa would have been great (and if Don got involved, they could have brought Penny back to have a reaction). Larry was the guy Frannie had been involved with during her time in Boston (the two years Frannie was away as they recast Julianne Moore). He'd cheated on her or something. When she came back to Oakdale, she was gunshy of a relationship, which led to some baggage with Sean Baxter. Then Larry came to Oakdale and wanted to win her back, but lost out to Daryll.
  14. RIP Congressman Major Owens. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/10/major-owens-dies-98674.html?hp=r1
  15. Huh. I wouldn't say that's the best career move, but he certainly has the ass for it.
  16. People kept saying they think Rick got something too. Or that this might be used to kill Judith. I could see Carol burning the bodies but I can't see her killing the people, and it looks like those people might have been stabbed to death before they were moved. Here's an interview with the woman who played Karen. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1715877/walking-dead-karen-death.jhtml?utm=share_twitter
  17. That's sweet. I really wish Liz was on my TV somewhere.
  18. Looks like they'll be a fight in Ohio over the Medicaid expansion. http://www.politico.com/story/2013/10/ohio-moving-toward-obamacare-medicaid-expansion-98609.html?hp=f3
  19. Who played Diane (the woman who nearly killed Dorian and wanted to replace Cassie in her life)?
  20. That premiere was too inflated to stick. I think the football game on last night probably had an impact too. Last night's episode was one of the best in a while so perhaps that will get a few viewers back.
  21. He definitely was. I was never all that interested in Hart but I do wonder what Stabb might have been longer-term, although the writing was so uneven, he probably wouldn't have lasted. The character profiles tend to condense the worst parts of a character's story. Nola's is much better than most of her material, especially in her second run.
  22. Scott Gimple interview (spoilers obviously). http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/walking-dead-season-4-spoilers-649684
  23. Behind the scenes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqPlJ-gbrN0 (I guess Andrew really does keep that accent when he's onset) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEk1co1c1WM
