Carol was reckless as hell in that scene. Wow. I guess Melissa McBride probably enjoyed playing action woman.

This scene with the sisters and the door separating them reminds me of when Beth was attempting suicide.

Poor Sasha. That scene with Tyreese was a strong moment. I'm always glad when we get to see more of their relationship. I wonder what that Zach's background was. That scene with Carol and Tyreese is...random. Not sure where it might be going. Carol is a water-waster!! (great work from Melissa McBride) Ugh Hershel/Maggie

Hershel seems so depressed. I don't know if this is leading anywhere... I always get a little weirded out when Carl leaves zombies alone instead of killing them. Then again the last time this happened Dale got killed, so...keep doing it, Carl. I missed the little behind the scenes thing. I just saw Andrew Lincoln. What was it about?

Who is playing Jeanette, the woman telling Carol she's not sick? She looks so familiar. It's nice to see a reminder of how much Carl cares about Hershel. Those girls are going to be Carol's downfall. The prison seems so much more atmospheric this season. It scares the [!@#$%^&*] out of me. I was hoping that hat was gone for good. Beth's so cold now. I guess it's realistic, but a little sad to watch.

This scene will make those "Dixchonne" shippers happy, complete with Daryl's smolder.

What was with the random commercial scene of season 2 Hershel/Rick arguing? I hope this doesn't mean Hershel will die.

Was the cute doctor with the bad haircut infected too? I'd already seen the preview with Sasha but the scene is still frightening. It's somewhat of Dr. Caligari. I can't get over Carol being the lead female. I never thought they'd let it happen. I wonder if this is heading toward some leadership fight between Tyreese and Rick. The relationship between Carl and Rick has come such a long way.

I guess he just released his pent-up anger over the helplessness of the situation. He and Tyreese certainly do not have a great relationship on this show. Their first scene, Rick threw him out of the prison. Their second scene, they get into an ugly fight. I wish we'd seen more of a relationship between them before this. Wow Carol just got in the middle of all that. I'm glad they didn't have the cliche of her getting hit.

Ryan's Hope Discussion Thread
I have a feeling Ron may have just wanted to put Ilene on the show and since Roxy wasn't available, he went for Delia. I wonder if he's ever even seen a Ryan's Hope episode. I agree that they should have just used her Loving character, Norma. I'm going to try to be positive about this, but it's not easy. The worst part is that I know we're going to hear all sorts of trash talk about Ryan's Hope and how Ron did Delia better than anyone ever could.

I get the feeling that P&G felt like Marland was very good at younger characters, which was the main thing GL lacked when he took over as headwriter. I think they may have felt that the Dobsons were needed at ATWT to completely restructure it, as they had GL. But for whatever reason, whether it be their tastes, or P&G's demands, they didn't seem to "get" ATWT. I guess they did have some success, as they brought in Steve (who was certainly very popular with fans), James Stenbeck, and the Montgomery family, and they put John at the center of the drama where he belonged, but they seemed to fail at changing the show in a positive way, they failed at respecting the core of the show, or building a proper structure. I haven't seen a lot of 1990 but what I have seen, other than Casey's death and the affair story with Bob/Susan, seems like a real lull, with 1991 somewhat stronger but still not quite there. I think Marland's ATWT just drifted into a malaise, because he wasn't the best at high-energy characters or situations. He also had a dense, backbreaking cast, which barely worked by the end, even with his pen. I'm just sorry we never got to see who he would have cut if he'd been asked to do so. I think he never would have cut Andy (which was a huge mistake on ATWT's part). 1992 is where stories seem to start picking up and the canvas is reshaped in some potentially interesting ways. Not everything (Rosanna as Lily 2.0), but Scott's arrival, Jessica/Duncan, Frannie/Barbara conflict, Lily cutting ties with both her mothers, Holden's memory loss - all of this rocked the show, and I'm really sorry we didn't get to see Marland's full material for this era.

Diane Franklin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diane_Franklin What gets me in these clips, especially the one with John eating with Kim, is how much John is like Lucinda - everything he hated about Lucinda. He's so neurotic, so fussy, gossipy, insecure, pushy.

This isn't about "need." Claire Labine created and wrote for Delia off and on for nearly fifteen years. Claire Labine helped Ron get hired. Considering this man had a meltdown over others using characters he did not own, the least he can do is try to ask Claire for a few tips, or just talk with her about it. Otherwise it's just him shitting all over other shows, yet again.- Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread

Grant returned briefly in 1997 or so, when Lisa felt down in the dumps. After that I don't think he did. There were several ways they could have gone with Lisa at the end, to give her a nice goodbye. They didn't seem to care.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I'm not sure why they never brought back Grant. I guess they just didn't care about Lisa at all in the last years. I am happy the thread is so active and generally has been. The clips from WLS help, but it's the people here who make me want to discuss it.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
