  1. I saw that blog mostly because people kept laughing about her saying "neckless."
  2. "Scandals" like this make me feel old, because it's all so fast and so based on all the tweaks of the Internet. I remember the good old days when people would talk for months about Shannen Doherty vandalizing a car.
  3. The other thing that got me with that charity's statement was when they said Nene had given "thousands of dollars." I just don't know why that was necessary. It's just awkward. And the immediate question was, "How many thousands of dollars?" instead of, "I'm glad Nene has done so much for the charity." They shouldn't have gotten involved in this, unless Kenya was refusing to respond to them, or something. Even then, you'd think Bravo would have. Oh I agree with you about the $500. What I was saying was that they did at least say she gave $500. I just wonder if they were telling about all the rest.
  4. I think it was the start, yes. Then he eventually raped her (the mobster I mean), although I don't know if that was part of the redemption (I hate rape redemption stories).
  5. I still wonder who approved that whole feud with Nicki Minaj. I've rarely seen a publicity stunt so badly embarrass and damage both people involved.
  6. I don't know. It just read to me like someone wanting to get in the middle of drama. Most charities would be to the point in a situation like this.
  7. They did say she donated $500, so they weren't lying about that. Her text says "as well," which, if it's valid, means they were acknowledging to her that she gave more than just her donation. I had a problem with that initial statement because so much of it read like a press release for Nene and took forever to get to the point of what Kenya did. And now this comes out, which doesn't do them any favors if it's true. I don't think it's Nene's fault, it's on them, jumping into the middle of this mess.
  8. The episodes are often boring and the story goes nowhere. The only bright spots for me are Laura Malone as Blaine (the definition of anti-heroine - forcing herself into an unhappy relationship with a mobster to protect her husband, whom she loves...and cutting him out of her life, divorcing him, making herself become hard and bitter), and Beverly Penberthy as Pat (playing so many beats of loneliness, the slow death of a functioning alcoholic, etc.), and Susan Keith as Cecile (cold and scheming but believably sweet enough to those she isn't targeting), along with the always dependable Ada. I also like her husband Charlie, who was, inexplicably, one of the many characters dumped at the end of the year. I also have a soft spot for high-pitched worrywart Clarice, but I have a feeling she might have annoyed the hell out of people. The Kit storyline (the world's drabbest runaway heiress) is such a dull, dull slog, made even worse by her being pursued by three men who look just alike. What a waste of Ray Liotta, who was such a hot piece at this time. Rachel and Mac's story is very dull as well. Oh, and there's Tracy, who is married to Russ Matthews, and her manager Jason is fixated on her. Janice Lynde plays the role with humor and spirit and world-weariness, but she's spinning her wheels. And the singing...no comment.
  9. I didn't know that about Kerry Sherman. Good for her.
  10. Wasn't that a Sweeney Sisters medley?
  11. Just those August 1980 episodes are on Youtube. The others are just through Eddie Drueding (they used to air on AOL years ago).
  12. No, I didn't know that. Wow. I think I may have posted something on her here several years ago but I can't remember.
  13. You may want to put that Anne bit in the where are they now thread on the main thread. If I find any Louan stuff I will definitely post it.
  14. There are some 1980 episodes on Youtube. Most you can get through Eddie Drueding but you have to pay. I haven't finished Robert's return but almost all of it was solely with Clarice, her husband, and her father. He met with Mac briefly - Miranda may have popped up then.

  16. I remember her from SBTB. I didn't know that was her. Photobucket can be easy to use and is free, although there are also other photo sharing sites. Just make sure if you post the image here you use the IMG url.
  17. Yes, it does. It also kind of always sounded like exotic underwear.
  18. I liked Brick and Amy a lot. Great name! Do you have Photobucket? You might be able to scan that stuff, upload it to Photobucket, then post the items here. Those are beautiful memories of Louan. I didn't know that about David Forsyth.
  19. Robert Kirkman will be producing a nuclear holocaust thriller movie, with Djimon Hounsou and Norman Reedus starring. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/walking-deads-norman-reedus-star-681394
  20. Richard Eden at Robocop premiere.
  21. A little more from that episode.
  22. There was an entire episode that was Reuben's dream sequence. The show seemed to enjoy doing those in the late 80s and early 90s (dream sequences/special episodes/fantasies). I agree the show didn't know what to do with him. At one point they hinted at Josie/Reuben but that went nowhere. At a time when ATWT and GL were trying to expand their black canvas, AW became very white, and that didn't change until the show's last few years. It's a shame, since AW had Quinn, Henrietta, Thomasina, Carter, etc. at a time when the best you could get on ATWT and GL was Heather and Tucker, and Lujack's friend, at a push.
  23. Joe the Plumber - what can I say, beyond, what a perfect example of far right hypocrisy. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/joe-the-plumber-wurzelbacher-union-job-chrysler
  24. I think that "life isn't all just diamonds and rose" tag, or whatever it was, was perfect, one of the best ever. I wish they'd kept it.
  25. I think the tagline is a little forced, and not the best fit, because Lisa's story often isn't so much about taking the lead as it is about who is accusing her of what and how she says that's not true and she didn't do that.
