  1. The person who was uploading said people could try to get one of those antennas. I can't get one where I live but some may be able to, I don't know.
  2. The synopses for today's episodes. Bill counsels Althea and gets to the bottom of her marriage to Dave Davis. John enjoys lunch with Polly and her acting stories. John’s cousin, Steve Aldrich arrives at Hope Memorial and flirts with Carolee and announces he has joined the intern program. Nick tells Althea that they have to get married which causes an argument. Matt lays in to Nick, when nick tells Matt that he offered to marry Althea. Nick then says that he is going to have a talk with Liz and tell her Althea is pregnant and that the wedding is off. Liz and Maggie have an uneasy conversation where Liz tries to convince Maggie that marrying Nick is the right thing and that she wants to have Nick’s children. Maggie tells Matt about her conversation with Liz. Nick cannot bring himself to tell Liz what is going on.
  3. You said it. You said it perfectly. I just want to go break a window and scream. (I'm not going to break a window - don't worry).
  4. Channel is offline. What a [!@#$%^&*] joke.
  5. allmc I'm not sure what Central time would be but they air episodes at 12 and 12:30 EST. But as mentioned above, the stream only shows one. Hopefully that person will be able to give me synopses and maybe someone at some point will upload what we're missing. Hell, I shouldn't even get that far ahead - I hope the stream works today.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaJqItNv4pY Wow at those horror movie screams from Lucinda! I didn't know Liz had it in her. I guess Lucinda was still so new to Oakdale that she wasn't used to the rough stuff. Karen is such a fascinating character, so rough-and-tumble compared to most ATWT ladies. I really wish she'd stuck around longer. Dusty seemed to forget her almost immediately. I wonder if this was the first ladies' room confrontation on ATWT. Marland loved doing them, but he started a year or two later.
  7. Thank you for this. I especially love the Lucas and Lorie scene. Lance is the one who got her to let Leslie see Brooks, but Lucas seemed to be her conscience. I can see why his turning against her in the Vanessa death story rattled her so much. Ligon and JLB are perfect together - terrific friendship bond. I laughed at the repeated references to how "heavy" something was. The boy who played Brooks is way too generic TV cute, to the point of taking me out of scenes, but he was good at the end when Leslie was playing the piano. That whole shot, especially the overhead where Lorie's tear-stained face merged with the piano, was superbly directed. Victoria Mallory was brilliant here - so understated and moving and noble.
  8. Unfortunately people have said it doesn't work well at the time the show airs. I guess we'll see.
  9. This is the stream that the uploader was using. They quit earlier today because it went to black and they felt like they weren't able to do the job justice and wanted someone else to take over. They seem to have changed their mind, perhaps because no one else is doing it. If you want to try this stream around the time that the episodes are airing in your time zone, maybe it will work for you. I'm going to try tomorrow and hope it doesn't go to black again. http://kdkz18.wp.tikilive.com/my-channels/?channel=32434 I also hope people will call their cable provider and say you want Retro TV. It likely won't make an impact, but it's a start. Writing letters, as SFK mentioned, but a phone call would be OK too.
  10. quartermainfan, it looks like that uploader is going to try again tomorrow (they had said they were giving up but those messages are now deleted). Hopefully more material will come. It's frustrating because even if that stream works, they only seem to run one episode a day, not two, which means we may not get all of them. I guess one would be better than nothing. I'm so confused about when they went to color as I've heard some say 1966 or earlier in 1967.
  11. That was the article I saw, actually...
  12. This is the synopsis said kind person did for me for the first four episodes. Hopefully they will do more as more episodes air. Nick meets the new doctor on staff from Germany, Karen Werner. Dr. John Rice and Nick get in a fight about Liz and Althea. Maggie is disappointed that Matt has to assist Karen in OR and unable to make the play they had tickets for. Matt and Karen walk in on John and Nick fist fighting. Althea drops over at Maggie’s and they discuss Althea’s pregnancy. Matt reprimands Nick and John. Karen arrives at Maggie’s and clues them in on the fight. Althea asks Nick about the fight with John. John visits with an eccentric patient named Polly and tries to retrieve information about her background. Nick is short with Liz when she asks Nick why his face is all bruised up. Dr. Bill Winters talks with Mrs. Berger at the adoption agency and Ruth’s drinking problem is brought up. Ruth Winters is introduced to a young difficult patient named Danny. Althea has a counseling session with Bill. Ruth asks Bill how things went with Mrs. Berger and that they have to be able to adopt. James Pritchett as Matt Powers Elizabeth Hubbard as Althea Davis Bethel Leslie as Maggie Powers Terry Kiser as John Rice Laryssa Laurett s Karen Werner Gerald Gordon as Nick Bellini Pamela Toll as Liz Wilson Ann Whitside as Ruth Winters James Noble as Bill Winters

  14. I'm talking with someone who doesn't want to upload (they are saving them but just don't want to upload for copyright reasons), but is going to try to give me synopses of each episode. I know that's not the same as the episodes but I guess with even that stream only having one episode it might be a good chance for now of getting more details.
  15. You're right, it does work now. So I guess tomorrow we'll have to all just try to watch live?? I hope someone may upload at some point. I was talking to someone and they said their affiliate aired two episodes yesterday - the episode before the one we saw had Nick meeting Karen Werner, Matt and Maggie not getting to go to a play, and Jerry and Nick brawling. I guess that affiliate must have aired two today, surely? I wish Retro TV would at least put up synopses like Soapnet did with Ryan's Hope early on. Does anyone know how to record a stream?
  16. Sadly the person who uploaded them said their link died and they won't be continuing the efforts. They left the link to the stream if people want to try it - I tried and nothing showed up.
  17. One of the most bizarre ads I've seen in a while that isn't intended to be bizarre. From the terrible makeup to the divatastic Dance Moms wannabe who seems to suggest caring about veterans/Medicare/Social Security is "nonsense," to the creepy shot of Cassidy at the end. I hope no one was paid money for this.
  18. Sad to hear about Justin Gocke. I know a lot of people enjoyed his work as Brandon. I'm sorry his life ended the way it did. I hope he is at peace. Jeff Kober still does a lot of acting so perhaps Stacy will too. sungrey, I'm trying to remember - did I once post some Julia Campbell articles for you? I think I have one or two more.
  19. The hook of this song is what people remember, but the song as a whole (maybe except for the cheesy rap) is terrific. I think someone here mentioned a while back that the early 90's had so much fun pop/R&B that was later lost in shuffle. Sadly I would have to agree.
  20. They were already married at this point so it had to be Ann or Bethel.
  21. I hope that means we may get to see some Christmas material. So this show never used organ music? It was still live (or live-on-tape) at this point, right? I could swear in the Althea/Maggie scene I saw shadows from the camera.
