  1. I've really grown to dislike Tad a LOT over the last few years. I never realized that his smugness was there from the very beginning (with MEK). I still don't get how people disregard the fact that he caused his wife to have a miscarriage and didn't give a damn.
  2. Ooooh okay. Yeah, Nolan called Emily on her schemes, but it was really the first time in the series so far that he's stepped back and looked at how wrapped up in her revenge plot she's getting. It's gotten to the point where she's even willing to pull schemes on him -- who was originally her only ally -- to get what she wants. Nolan was upset about it because, in the beginning, Emily's father wanted him to make sure she didn't get all tied up in trying to avenge his death. He wanted her to have a good, happy life, and trying to ruin the Graysons just ain't the way. I think that scene did a lot in developing Nolan's character -- showing that while he's desperate for Emily's friendship, he still has a heart and he still feels loyal to David -- and also giving Emily a moment to think about what she's doing. Nolan wasn't the only one to tell her that she's taking on way too much; her mentor guy also abandoned her because he thought she was losing her focus.
  3. On second thought, I'm thinking maybe you're confusing Nolan with Tyler?
  4. SORASing should have been stopped a LONG time ago. This "fiddling with numbers to make characters the right age" bullsh!t is so illogical. So if GL didn't have Alan-Michael in his 20s in 1993, there would have been absolutely no male 20-somethings in Springfield? And let's not act like SORAS is some new, modern soap evil. It's been making things ridiculous since the 1960s (looking at yall, Paul and Dan Stewart).
  5. IMO, the entire cast is an ensemble, with La VanCamp and La Stowe as the principal leads. I don't view Nolan as any less important than Daniel, Jack, or Conrad. He's definitely more important than Charlotte and Declan combined.
  6. "Please tell me you can hear me, I'm expressing my love. I won't stop until I get you; I'm not letting go. I'm-a run into your heart like a kid in a store, And take every ounce of love and beg you for more." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbxIeG0Zr70
  7. When I visited the official site a year or so ago, there were all sorts of clips and lots of information on the characters and their history. I guess when the movie was made and production was officially shut down, they ditched all of that good stuff
  8. Really? I've found lots of information on Egoli over the years. Around the time they aired the last episode, their original site had tons of clips going back to the beginning, and it was a very American-style soap.

  10. Amanda can go fcking die. Her and Jack's pseudo-fairy tale nonsense was so out of place all episode long. I wanted their boat to capsize. Jack is an idiot. Is he REALLY still jonesing over a little girl he met when he was a kid? Damn. He even introduced her as "an old close friend." If she was that close, you'd realize it wasn't really her, you moron. I even like his little grimy brother better than him. Victoria/Conrad/Lydia is pure GOLD. Conrad is a riot when he gets some bitchiness in him! Love the way these three interact with each other, and Victoria continues to be the boss of the entire corporation. My beautiful, flawless Daniel So many people playing him. When it all falls down, he should just dust himself off and start anew in Louisiana, where he can meet a 21-year-old college student who enjoys watching old episodes of soaps on YouTube. I'm still down with Emily/Daniel, but I'm gonna need for her to bring him into the plan soon. He's obviously very in to her, and she needs to see that he can be trusted. Nolan and Tyler lmao I can't believe they're letting Tyler's wormy ass get under their skin. I don't see Ashley really reacting to catching them kissing. As much as she wants to be a bad bad bitch, she just seems to be all talk and no action. Get it together, girl!
  11. Kathryn/Kim seemed to have a little array of different hairstyles in the 70s. The one there is kinda similar to the one she had in the (too short) clip of her and John getting a divorce in '76. But then in the clip that saynotoursoap posted from about a year earlier with her and Jennifer, she has a fairly large 'do that goes to her shoulders. But then I've also seen 70s era pictures of her with her iconic 80s-90s hairstyle. Did she ever have any work done? Something changed about her face between 1976 and 1981.
  12. Yes in-f'n-deed...
  13. Been feeling some obscure disco lately, thanks to Pandora...

  15. Cutting away from the kiss didn't bother me. This show really isn't heavy on the lovey-dovey romance** stuff, and yeah, I do think they wanted to have us guessing whether or not they actually kissed. **Not that Nolan/Tyler are lovey-dovey romance. I just feel like the show doesn't really dwell on stuff like that even with the actual couples, so when you consider that they're not a couple by any stretch of the definition of the word, it's not horrible that they cut from the kiss so quickly.
  16. MY GOD, I miss that bitch Erica.
  17. LMFAO!! I bet the Nina fans were pressed over that headline. Anyone who didn't follow AMC at all might have thought Nina had stepped out on Cliff and got pregnant.
  18. YES, the ratings keep going up, up, up. I think this ep might have went down just a shade in Total Viewers from last week, but that's perfectly fine. I think they'll more than make up for that as we move along. It's getting more buzz. I know I've been selling the hell out of it to all my friends and classmates for weeks now. I think it's pretty much established that Nolan is bi. A 3 on the Kinsey scale is perfectly bisexual, and he didn't seem at all turned off by having to "do...that" to get one over on Tyler. He was totally into it.
  19. So wait, did Lydia wake up at the end? I turned away for like two minutes, and I missed that?! This episode is going to be watched a million times within the next two weeks.
  20. LOL it's just delicious how so many people on this show are secretly plotting against everyone else. You have Emily working with her associate Nolan. Victoria running sh!t with Conrad (and Frank, if he's still alive). Now we have Ashley in cahoots with Tyler. And of course, Lydia's still a wild card. The fall out is going to be epic, particularly for Daniel. Everyone he loves and cares about is keeping secrets from him, except for his sister. And of course, realEmily might be on to her own scheme, and who knows if Conrad's gonna grow some balls and turn against Victoria. TWO WEEKS?! Damn.
  21. OMG and then realEmily comes into the mix. This show is just too much. I can't deal. Two weeks wait?! Emily/Daniel are my OTP for this show. Just flawless. I hope they don't make Daniel shady. When the sh!t hits the fan, I want him to be disgusted by his family and then I want him to forgive Emily, and then they shall live happily ever after. Jack can screw the pooch. realEmily takes out Frank, then she crawls over to the center of action. Can't wait to see how she mixes it up with our Hamptonites! at her trying to be all rough with Emily in the institution and then Emily kicks her ass! Nolan plucking Tyler to get it on tape! GAH! That's the type of thing where you say, "Haha, they'd never go there," but they DID! And I love love love that they made it clear that Nolan enjoyed it. Declan/Charlotte are still blah to me, but they were better tonight than usual. Her gushing about how awesome he is, though...yeah, whatever. LYDIA! Wake the hell up and come back to the Hamptons to stir more pots, please! And even Ashley was showing a little fire there at the end with Tyler! Don't be scared to show your claws, girl! This show is like an inch away from being an embarrassment of bitches, and I'm loving every second of it. Poor Victoria Can't believe the show has me feeling sorry for her, but I am. You can tell she's starting to regret just about everything she's done in the last 20 years. The shot of her watching from the balcony as Conrad left...so sad, and so soapy. Perfection. Again. TWO WEEKS? Why??
  22. OMFG TYLER AND NOLAN?!?!?!?! This show is f!cking incredible and bold and amazing, and I love it.
  23. YES!!! I immediately thought of Taylor when Tyler hit himself. I had to pause it and just grin for a while because that [!@#$%^&*] was fantastic. This entire show is incredible. Emily and Victoria are clearly the HBICs, but Lydia could have completed the triumvirate. With her out of commission, though, Tyler better be eying that spot.
  24. The Bonkers thing is hilarious! "Bonkers admits that as long as Daisy's apartment is clad with fresh ferns..." I just can't with that
